Broadcaster’s ‘negative pay gap’ likely to stoke concerns about impact of diversity drive.
Black, Asian, mixed and other ethnic minority employees received 13.2pc higher median pay than white workers in the corporation’s lowest pay band, and 5.3pc more in the highest pay band.
White employees’ median pay was higher – by 0.6pc – in just one out of seven pay scales. This is despite the BBC’s commitment to “fair, clear and competitive” pay.

Following a successful launch on Oct. 13, 2026, an uncrewed SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft will plan to rendezvous with and dock to the International Space Station. The spacecraft, which is carrying over 6,300 pounds of supplies, is scheduled to dock autonomously at about 10:30 a.m. EDT (1430 UTC).
In addition to cargo for the crew aboard the space station, Dragon will deliver several new science experiments that could help restore vision for people on Earth with artificial eye retinas, develop more realistic heart tissue models for disease research, and identify new treatment targets for diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis.
