STILL LOVIN’ OBAMA

Anyone else catch Mark Mardell’s paean to Obama masquerading as a news item here?  It’s entertaining to listen to Mardell dream on about The One and how things might yet work out for him. What is truly remarkable is that whoever the BBC sends to the USA they all become drooling fans of the Democrat Party. It’s almost as if they had a predisposition to a left of centre politica agenda, which is impossible because as we all know, impartiality is in the DNA.

WILD YOOF!

It’s been a busy morning for the 5th columnists at the BBC. Interesting item here on Today @ 8.30am concerning the “lost generation” of young unemployed people. The allegation being pursued is that the evil Coalition is putting young people on the scrap heap by not continuing with the wise and kindly policies of Labour. Professor Paul Gregg made a guest appearance to state that some of Labour’s policies had most definitely worked and that by abandoning these the Government was risking a repeat of what happened in the early 1980’s. Yes – with a bound we were brought back to…..THATCHER!! It’s funny listening to the show reel of BBC approved lefties rabbiting on about how great socialism is for youth employment. They ignore pesky things like facts – never mention socialist Spain’s youth unemployment for instance – and the impression being slowly but surely created is that Labour presided over a golden period in our history. The revisionism is stunning.

TAXING TIMES

Today is the day that VAT moves up to 20%. The BBC is not happy about this and gave Alan Johnson a hassle free canter earlier this morning with the usual disingenuous amnesiac Labour propaganda. Then wee Georgie Osborne was on just after 8am for a verbal roasting for having the audacity to try and balance the books. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in the least happy about this permanent increase in VAT HOWEVER the BBC seem to have forgotten why such drastic measures are necessary. Had Osborne decided to go for deeper cuts (My preference) in order to hold VAT down, the BBC would have shrieked at the awfulness of it all! So whatever Osborne did he was going to be damned. Now, it’s not that I object to the Chancellor being given a tough grilling, in fact I welcome this. But during the long Labour years, when taxes were also hiked in all sorts of ways, I don’t recall the BBC getting so vexed about taxes. It is this contradiction that is so offensive – as the BBC parrots Labour economic incoherence as if it were fact whilst wiping clean the things that happened between 1997 and 2010. Their revisionism combined with the sudden interest in raised taxes cuts to the issue of bias.

WELCOME TO THE WORKING WEEK…

Well, the New Year has truly begun with most of us now back at work. The BBC has also gone back to work this morning, with a vengeance. High up the list of priority news stories is the allegation that “increasing” numbers of White British people are converting to Islam. There is a report carried here on Today @ 8.41am by Catrin Nye of the BBC Asian network (natch) explaining why women in particular are so attracted to the Religion of Peace.  As a PR piece for Islam, it is sublime, with the remarkable statement by one convert that she felt “empowered” to be a Muslim. No tough questions asked, of course, but it’s nice to see the BBC setting off on 2011 with the usual pro-Islam agenda. I look forward to some of the BBC sisterhood doing the decent thing, converting to Islam, and thus removing themselves forever from our lives.

JIHAD FROM BRITISH CONSULATE, NOTHING TO SEE…

It’s way down the BBC new menu, well below the death of actor Pete Postlethwaite for example, but I await with interest the BBC coverage of the shocking news that Israel has charged two workers at the British Consulate in Jerusalem with arms trafficking, in connection to an alleged plot by militants to fire a rocket into a football stadium.Israel’s Shin Bet intelligence agency is accusing the two Palestinians of helping two other suspects who are allegedly members of Hamas to acquire guns. I am sure the BBC will ensure that the impact of this is ameliorated and kept well below showbiz and other key news items.

THE HENRY FORD SCHOOL OF COMEDY

The end of year “topical news quizzes” featuring the BBC cabal of rancid venomous left wing “comedians is also a major threat to festive good health. I caught a bit of the News Quiz I think it was, with Jeremy Hardy – that quintessential BBC personification of what is deemed “funny” – raging about the Conservatives and the Lib-Dems. The sheer hatred that spews forth from Hardy and his ilk seems to send the selected audiences into paroxysms of laughter which tells us all we need to know about them. But IF there was a comedian who mercilessly mocked Labour, who relentlessly attacked Obama, who verbally assaulted the EU, who patronised gays and who taunted Islam, I wonder how many invites would be received from the BBC?  BBC humour is from the Henry Ford school of comedy, you can have anyone you want so long as it is left.

PINK VERSUS THE BBC

The guile of the BBC is a wonder to behold.
Consider this;

The BBC is facing action by gay viewers and listeners, who have been asked to withhold the licence fee in protest at a succession of broadcasts that have been criticised as homophobic. In an important development, the influential Pink News website has published an editorial calling for viewers to take co-ordinated action against the corporation as a way of making their voices heard on this issue. “No other group of people is subjected to the same level of insult by the BBC as the LGBT community,” it said, suggesting that viewers who only watched on-demand television could avoid paying the licence fee

Who would have guessed that “no other group of people” were subjected to greater insult by the BBC than the poor old LGBT? All the more surprising considering the number of gay people working for the BBC! I could venture to suggest that WCPH’s (White Christian Patriotic Heterosexuals) possibly edge ahead of the cruelly oppressed LGBT’s in the BBC insult stakes but hey, who am I to criticise Pink News? Ahem.

However that is all beside the point.

The complaint about the BBC is based on the fact that it allowed what is called a “fundamentalist” Christian, Stephen Green, to be the sole commentator in a report in its News at Six bulletin on the surrogate birth of a son to the gay couple Sir Elton John and David Furnish.

“This isn’t just a designer baby for Sir Elton John, this is a designer accessory,” said Green, who represents the group Christian Voice and is an outspoken critic of homosexual relationships.

Now then, the BBC knew exactly what it what was doing here in putting up Green and in generating this whinge from the perpetually outraged Gay fraternity. It helps the State Broadcaster justify a further year of pandering to militant gays and all in the name of equality!
But if a threat of co-ordinated refusal to pay License Tax until perceived editorial balance is restored has such an impact on BBC bosses then  maybe those of us sickened by the left-wing only perspective of SO MANY of BBC stories might want to think how we can pressurise the State Broadcaster in this New Year? Just sayin’….

WISHING YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR

2010 draws to an end and I wanted to take a moment to thank you all, fellow-writers, commentators and those who just like to read, for your support to B-BBC over this past 12 months. Sometimes it can be very pressurised finding the time to keep things going and I do appreciate the great enthusiasm for the site.I get so many emails from you and wanted to let you know how informative these are, with so many great spots of BBC bias. I also wanted to wish all those who work for the BBC but who come here to peruse our writings a Happy New Year. We will be watching you very closely in 2011 and trust it brings the demise of your bloated biased organisation that little bit closer!

BIAS OF THE YEAR

OK, we are almost at the end of 2010 and the BBC has clocked up another year of seething bias, or, as they prefer to call it, professional impartiality so profound it is in their DNA. So, let me ask you what was YOUR biased moment of the year? There’s so much choice – not least their appalling coverage of the General Election. But the bit that turned MY stomach the most was their coverage of the Hate Flotilla incident back in late May. I ended up getting caught up in the media crossfire for my “audacious” comments defending Israel and I  was once again struck by the hatred the BBC has of Israel and their fawning over anti-Semitic scum. There were so many other incidents…what is your stand out memory from the passing year?
