YOU CAN CALL ME AL.

The BBC just loves Sir Al Aynsley-Green, the children’s commissioner for England. Al was on Today this morning calling for an end to the arrest and detention of the children of failed ie illegal asylum seekers. When these illegals enter our country, Al would prefer a more “community based” solution be found ie. no effective action is taken. Once more – this item report is dripping in pro-illegal immigrant sentiment. The one solution Al seems oblivious of is that illegals should stay out of our country. Too radical, I guess.

THE STERN GANG.

The Stern Report on climate change, commissioned by the British Government under Blair, is seen by at least some people as being “a deeply flawed attempt to justify extraordinary new taxes and regulations on carbon dumping by quantifying future economic costs should we fail to impose them.” The alarmism that pervades Stern’s politicised climate change analysis would make at least some people wary of it or at perhaps offer a balancing view. But not the BBC. It holds the line that the Stern Report understates the actual climate change position – or as Professor David King puts it on this item, is “too conservative.” Listen to the sympathetic hearing King is given as he waxes lyrical on the need to impose action now – in order to save the planet. This climate change fascists are given a free ride each time they appear on the BBC.

GOOD TERRORIST, BAD TERRORIST.

It’s part of the BBC brief to portray certain favoured bloodthirsty terrorists as Statesmen, doves of peace even. Self confessed IRA terrorist Martin McGuinness is such a man and be sure to have a hanky ready when you read this cloying BBC report concerning how poor McGuinness has had his life threatened by, erm, other republican terrorists. The BBC chooses not to discuss the fact that when McGuinness was a senior IRA commander, many innocent men, women and children lost their lives. But that was then and this is now – and so the prospect of one terrorist being killed by another breaks BBC hearts.

TIGER TIGER, BURNING BRIGHT.

More pro-Tamil Tiger propaganda from the BBC here with touching images provided, ahem, “by pro-Tiger media” allegedly shows a government air strike inside a no-fire zone and civilians fleeing. The BBC is proving a very helpful media outlet for the terrorist Tamils as they face a welcome extinction at the hands of the lawful forces of the government.

IMPARTIAL AND FAIR-MINDED?

Yes, we all know that Darling/Brown’s budget has been exposed as a grotesque fraud and none but the most dewy-eyed old style socialist has anything good to say about it. Still, nice to see the BBC already move into official opposition mode as it characterises the Conservative leader as “Dave the miser”

THE JIHAD AGAINST STARKEY

I see that the BBC are leading the cultural Jihad from the Celtic Whinge against Dr David Starkey following his acerbic (but accurate) comments on Question Time the other night. My respect for Starkey deepens!

THE CAMERON INTERVIEW.

Did you get a chance to listen to Sarah Montague interview David Cameron? Here it is in case you missed it. Wonder what you think? My view is that Cameron was OK – in what was clearly a hostile environment for him. Some of his responses disturb me and he still uses Blairist vocabulary on some issues and is wary of stating clearly that the State MUST be rolled back. He waffled on about teacherndoctorsnnurses too much. Montague’s tone (I know it’s subjective!)was simmering hostility and she was out to make Cameron say something Thatcheresque which could then be seized upon by Labour so I can understand his hesitations. Comments?

IT’S GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME!

The CBI must have a hot-line to Number 10. As we prepare to have the awful truth about shrinking GDP in our ailing economy unveiled today, the BBC have been able to slip in the news that the CBI are pretty sure that the worst is now behind us, so ameliorating the awfulness of the current economic position. Ask any small to medium-sized businessman if he agrees with that – because the BBC sure as hell won’t! No, they prefer to use the CBI as the alleged authentic voice of UK business and the CBI is singing from the same hymn book as Brown/Darling. It seems that each time bad economic news is announced we now have the CBI popping up to say that although it’s not good, it’s getting better all the time. Why can’t the BBC seek out broader business opinion on the state of our economy? Simple – it only ever asks the opinion of those who will provide the acceptable answer. The narrative is clear – green shoots are everywhere if ONLY you look hard enough. Pathetic.

BIG FOOD GOOD, BIG PHARMA BAD?

Just before budget day, the BBC were cheering on the massive profits Tesco announced. My contention was that this rather unusual BBC approval for vast corporate profits was aimed at creating good mood music as in “green shoots of recovery” ahead of Darling’s dismal Budget. Things reverted to form this morning however and I invite you to listen to the sneering tone Angus Stickler adopts when interviewing the Pfizer representative at the start of this item. The disgust for “profits” drips off his lips.
