THE CHILD POVERTY SCAM.

I listened to an item on BBC Radio 4 “Today” this morning just before 7am concerning how government is allegedly failing those MILLIONS of British children are living “in poverty” All the cliches were trotted out and for good effect the couple that the BBC interviewed – Elvis and Alex – even had one partner working but alas Elvis was on minimum wage. At no point did the BBC explain that what is measured these days is “relative poverty” – a leftist invention in recent years to allow them to beg for even more lavish public funds to alleviate a non-existent problem. A figure of an extra 2.7bn was bandied about as if it were nothing during this item. You can understand why the Poverty Industry is attracted to the BBC to pump out its propaganda – undiscerning transmission of faux statistics is the name of the poverty game and Auntie plays along.

100, NOT OUT?

And so the sad landmark of 100 British soldiers killed in Afghanistan is reached and it provides the BBC with yet another opportunity to undermine the morale of our Armed Forces. Soldiers from 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment, were on foot patrol in Helmand Province when a scumbag Jihadist detonated himself. The blast killed three of our boys. Instead of examining what sort of deranged mindset encourages these homicide-bombers (Islam) the BBC’s defence correspondent Paul Adams instead questions the veracity of the progress our military is making and complains at the corruption of the Afghan government. I’m sure the next of kin will find this most reassuring – the subtext of course being that their men died in vain. Shame on Adams and the rest of the defeatist anti-military BBC.

SUFFER LITTLE CHILDREN?

I see that the BBC has given great prominence this morning to a report by Britain’s obnoxious “Children’s Commissioners” which essentially argues that the UK is demonising children. This is the left wing ratchet-mechanism in play. Labour appoints four sopping wet liberals to head up these unelected quangos, the liberals then use our taxes to produce predictable self-loathing reports and a “caring” Government then responds by agreeing to consider implementing further “reforms”. Why does the BBC fail to provide a platform for those many people who view these “Commissioners” reports as interfering detached from all reality tax-consuming grotesque wastes of money? They seek to further weaken our system of justice and yet there is no challenge from the BBC reporters who just sit back and lap up the gibberish spouted by Sir Al Aynsley-Green and his pals. I also like the way this “demonisation” of children is accompanied on the BBC news page with an image of a “Mosquito” sonic device aimed at stopping young hoodlums from hanging around specific shopping areas, so implying what a great evil this device is. Shop-keeper’s plagued by teenage thugs don’t think so! Aynsley-Green and the gang are a menace to our society, operating to undermine law and order by rewarding feral youth and they are given a very easy ride by the BBC which, I suspect, shares the Commissioners views that no crime should go punished.

NO MORE RED RIBBONS?

Even the left-wing Independent reports that 25 years after after the outbreak of Aids, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has accepted that the threat of a global heterosexual pandemic does not exist. In the first official admission that the universal prevention strategy promoted by the major Aids organisations was profoundly flawed Kevin de Cock (His real name, honest!), the head of the WHO’s department of HIV/Aids said there will be no generalised epidemic of Aids in the heterosexual population outside Africa.

Dr De Cock, an epidemiologist who has spent much of his career leading the battle against the disease, said understanding of the threat posed by the virus had changed. Whereas once it was seen as a risk to populations everywhere, it was now recognised that, outside sub-Saharan Africa, it was confined to high-risk groups including gay men, drug users, and prostitutes and their clients. The contrast with the propaganda pumped out by the likes of the BBC over the years could not be greater. Remember this? Oddly enough, the BBC does not seem to have picked up on this sensational news. I wonder why? No more red ribbons?

NAME THE KILLERS.

I note that an Afghan journalist working for the BBC in the country’s southern Helmand province has been found shot dead. Abdul Samad Rohani had been abducted on Saturday and his body was found on Sunday afternoon in Lashkar Gah. As I mention on another thread, this brutal murder is to be condemned. It is wrong and just because the guy concerned was working for the BBC does not in any way make it right. However when I read this report on Mr Rohani’s murder there are a few missing words. Nowhere does the BBC make clear that Mr Rohani has been killed by fellow Muslims. Nowhere does the BBC make clear that this is Jihad in action – an attempt by Islamists to silence the voice of a free press. The irony is that the US and UK military – whose very presence in Afghanistan is a constant source of BBC carping – risk their lives daily to try and protect the very liberty and freedoms which the the Jihad boys would take away, just as they took away Mr Rohani’s life.

THOSE SLEAZY TORIES.

It’s like re-living the early 1990’s again with the BBC in its default position of leading the charge against the sleazy Conservative Party. The lead story today is actually located in the 1990’s with the shock horror! news that Conservative Party chairman Caroline Spelman has admitted using her MP’s parliamentary allowance for payments to her children’s former nanny. Spelman told BBC’s Newsnight that the money, paid in 1997 and 1998, was for secretarial work the nanny did. Following on from the revelations concerning Conservative MEP Giles Chicester, it’s like the good old days are back. A story that is TEN YEARS OLD is the single most important issue for the BBC this morning. Now I have no sympathy at all for our rapacious political caste and the fact that they abuse their expenses does not surprise me in the least but this is OLD news. I am sure the beleaguered Mr Brown will be thanking the BBC for doing all it can to shift the news agenda away from his serial woes. Naturally Labour MP’s are squeaky clean when it comes to their own use of parliamentary expenses. Mr Speaker Michael Martin is a good example of Labour financial propriety I suppose.

DO AS I SAY.

This might seem trivial but I think it speaks volumes. During the review of the papers on Today this morning, Sharon Osbourne’s decision to leave “The X Factor” show after the failure of talks for her to get her a £1m salary increase was greeted by chuckles from the BBC presenters. However when BBC presenters like Jonathan Ross get even greater salary hikes, that is considered “market rate.” I don’t think Sharon Osbourne is worth the money she is seeking nor do I think Wossie is worth the money he is getting. However my license tax is going to pay for Ross whether I like it or not. Therein lies the difference.

TIME TO QUESTION CAPITALISM?

I got a few brickbats the other day when I chose to tackle Evan Davies application of his economics training in an interview he conducted with TUC comrade Brendan Barber on Today. This morning in an interview Davies conducted (8.50am)with Larry Elliot on a new book which he even admits “comes from the left” attacking the institutions and systems that has led to the credit crunch, Davies asks “if the current crisis should not make us question the fundamentals of the capitalist system that got us here” I bet. The BBC struggles with free market capitalism and always will be hostile to it because it exists in a timewarp, protected by the license tax from the very market which it critiques.

GAY JIHAD ON THE BEEB.

I became aware of this story a bit earlier but thought it too parochial for this site, but it has just popped up again on BBC Five Live and so I wanted to make a few comments. It concerns the view of a Northern Ireland politician, Iris Robinson, on homosexuals. Now let me first say that I can think of little good to say about Mrs Robinson, and have been a vehement critic of her Party, the DUP. But yesterday, on the Nolan Show, she stated that in her view good counselling could help homosexuals change their lifestyle. She went further and called homosexuality “an abomination” – I believe this word was actually bleeped out by the Beeb. I’ve just caught Steven Nolan open up this subject again on Five Live, playing back Robinson’s opinions and then inviting comment. You can just IMAGINE the hostility she has attracted from late night BBC 5 live listeners. I fail to see why Robinson is not entitled to her view without being then exposed to the pro-Gay Jihad that the BBC has been indulging in today. In BBC world, being gay or at least being gay friendly is de rigeur and Allah help those who take a traditional – even Biblical view (gasp) – on homosexuality. I welcome what this politician has had to say even though I do not care for her. I also note the implied threats that have come her way from militant gay groups with mutterings of hate crime. There is NOTHING wrong with suggesting sodomy is sinful and the BBC should be ashamed of its jihad against Mrs Robinson during the past 48 hours. Where’s the bias? The bias lies in the BBC’s relentless pro-Gay agenda.

UPDATE:

This story appeared on The Today programme (8.20am) and I was amused to find that the BBC managed to locate Eamon McCann, a local marxist Irish republican, who is also an atheist, to provide balanced comment. Us wicked Christians must be put in our place and the BBC delights in doing so. Why were McCann’s predictable Bible bashing comments not balanced by someone else who is supportive of the idea that homosexuality is not normal? Or is it gay rights uber alles?
