COMPASSION EVERYWHERE..

And, next up on The Big Question, “Should we always show compassion?” The BBC finds a lady who survived 7/7 and who feels that we cannot judge those who carried out this atrocity. She has been on a journey over the past four years and feels that the perpetrators have been radicalised and so were not to blame. Great. I am sure the Imam on the panel approved. They also had the parents of a young boy kicked to death – they wanted their son’s killer released from jail as they had forgiven him. There is a more subtle meme here – the BBC approves of the release of convicted mass murderer Megrahi by the gutless SNP – and the notion is that we must all show “compassion.”

ANOTHER THOUGHT FOR THE DAY…

I posted here yesterday on what I see as the BBC’s shameful participation in the sanitising of the appeasement of terrorism here in Northern Ireland aka “peace process”. Today, on Thought for the Day, we had a follow-on item from the fragrant Rev Rosemary Lain-Priestly, of the Women’s Ministry in London. Rosemary celebrated the decision by the UVF thugs to stop murdering people and wrapped it up in soft theological cotton. She went on to suggest that whilst justice for the victims was not possible perhaps we could set up a Truth Enquiry so they could “share their stories”. How conveniently on narrative! Heaven forbid that those who have lost loved ones to the UVF, UDA and IRA might demand that justice be done. It’s just so passe these days. WHY is justice not an option? Because it would de-rail the peace!!! Thank God ..or perhaps his rival, that we have Thought for the day to further immunise us from morality.

MISSING THE TIGERS, LOVING THE TALIBAN.

Look, it’s been a big blow to the BBC and they need our understanding. I refer to the “victory” of the Sri Lankan government over the Tamil Tiger “fighters”. So, which terror group to shill for now? The Taliban, of course. Today has been active this morning with this report and a further discussion on whether the US can win the war in Afghanistan. The BBC meme is that terrorism just cannot be defeated through military might and so now that Sri Lanka has proven just how false this is, it’s off to the Taliban to find sanctuary for the narrative…

SAVE THE TIGERS..?

BBC so upset that the Tamil Tiger terrorists have been wiped of the map. Humphyrs keen to point out that China has been supporting the Sri Lanka government and so any sense of moral satisfaction about defeating terrorism is ameliorated. Some liberal woman from Chatham House made a brief appearance to complain about the blood bath that hasn’t even happened. Pathetic stuff indeed. The BBC, like the rest of the internationalist left, has been pushing the narrative that the best way of dealing with terrorism anywhere is to use the Northern Ireland model i.e naked appeasement. Sad for them that Sri Lanka thinks differently. Even better news comes as it is reported that the leader of the Tamil Tigers has been shot dead. Wonder will Gerry Adams sent his sympathies?

TIGER TIGER…

Great to see that the Sri Lankan government has cornered the remnants of the “Tamil Tigers” and are moving in for the kill. In my view, this is how you deal with the menace of terrorism – wipe them off the face of the Earth if they do not surrender and face justice. But, oh my, the BBC aren’t happy about this and I just watched a news report on BBC1 which gave us the usual hand-wringing “isn’t it awful” mantra which conforms to the narrative that terrorism can never be defeated. Well it can where there is a political will to do so. The UN and the usual shills like the BBC are dismayed as the Tigers face extinction. Look on it as Darwinism in action…

WHEN TERRORISTS MEET.

Nice to see the BBC portraying IRA godfather Gerry Adams as a man of peace as he visits Hamas and claims these genocidal anti-Semites want a peace agreement. The BBC item is just one more instance in which the appeasement of IRA terrorism and the betrayal of common decency here in Northern Ireland is retailed as a template by the UK Government for “conflict resolution” around the world. I wonder how the thousands of victims of IRA barbarity feel about the BBC’s sanitisation of Adams past? Note how Adams equates the actions of Hamas and Israel, in line with BBC required moral relativism.

MORE HEARTS AND MINDS.

When it comes to a concise analysis of the situation in Afghanistan, who better fpr the BBC to turn to than….Paddy Ashdown! Argh! I listened to he whose eyes never quite open being interviewed earlier this morning and it became clear that the reason the BBC like Ashdown is because he, like them, believes a military victory is not enough to defeat the Taliban. It appears we will need to talk directly to them and help win– yip — their hearts and minds.

WE’RE

ALL MULTILATERALISTS NOW.

I caught the wretched Lord Patten on Today this morning. He’s a BBC favourite! He was there to make all the usual talking points about the great joy of now having the “President we wanted” but he did not miss the chance to have a good old swipe at Israel, insisting that it would have to deal with Hamas just as “we” had to deal with the IRA. This completely false analogy is consistently pushed by BBC talking heads and it blithely ignores the fact that whilst the IRA were indeed homicidal vermin even they did not seek to wipe every Protestant off the map. The BBC never gives space to those who hold this view although I know that the gospel of appeasement runs deep within the British political Establishment, and is an article of faith for the BBC.
