ALWAYS ON THE BUTTON…

So, with the UK PM mired in sleaze, as Global economies go into meltdown, and with the mad Mullahs in Iran going nuclear, what better time for the BBC to update us on…….the new puppy that Obama has chosen. (It’s a Portuguese water dog – given by Ted Kennedy. Yip – you couldn’t make it up!). Obama has a water dog and the BBC is a poodle. Click through to … Continue reading

GOSSIP AND RIGHT WING.

Interesting to see how BBC Radio 4 covered the Damian McBride resignation this morning. The line being peddled was that this sort of political “gossip” handles all the time and that the blogosphere which broke the story (Congrats to Guido, of course) is dominated by right wing blogs! There was also a total acceptance of the fabrication that no one else in No. 10 knew anything about McBride’s scheming. Even … Continue reading

Women and Children First?

An item on Today about the popularity of Venezuela’s Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra gushed about the uplifting effect of such projects. I agree, but I couldn’t help thinking of the Palestinian string orchestra that was disbanded by the Palestinian Authority for performing to holocaust survivors. A mention would have been nice. However, today’s Today was not its usual self. Chris Grayling was given a jolly good stab at both radical … Continue reading

HE WHO PAYS THE PIPER…

Perhaps the most sinister aspect of the BBC is the manner in which it wilfully allows itself to propogandise on behalf of a political administration which broadly shares its inherent left wing and anti British values. In this way it ceases to be a reporter of news and instead become a participant in the political game. Writing this here in Northern Ireland, where I am certain the local BBC is … Continue reading

WHEN TERRORISTS MEET.

Nice to see the BBC portraying IRA godfather Gerry Adams as a man of peace as he visits Hamas and claims these genocidal anti-Semites want a peace agreement. The BBC item is just one more instance in which the appeasement of IRA terrorism and the betrayal of common decency here in Northern Ireland is retailed as a template by the UK Government for “conflict resolution” around the world. I wonder … Continue reading

You’re Fired

“Trust is the foundation of the BBC. Audiences are at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in delivering quality. We respect each other. We are honest. We are impartial.” The BBC Values, from the back of BBC Radio Devon presenter Graham Danton’s electronic entry card into the BBC building. SUNDAY afternoon radio presenter Graham Danton has been abruptly sacked by the BBC after more than 20 years, … Continue reading

BNP RISING?

Did you read that Harriet Harperson has been flagging up that the BNP represents a threat to Labour at the upcoming Euro-poll? The BBC helpfully repeats Ms Harperson’s bleating but digs no further. Is it possible, do you think, that the reason the BNP poses any kind of credible threat is because disaffected LABOUR voters may choose to rally around it? And will the BBC give the BNP a chance … Continue reading

CATHOLIC WARS.

Did you catch this interview with the incoming Archbishop of Westminster the Most Rev Vincent Nichols on Today earlier this morning? Nichols was attacked within a few minutes for daring to suggest that British Roman Catholics oppose the abortion/condom advertising plans from Brown and his pals, and of course the Pope’s words on Aids in Africa were taken and quoted out of context. I wish the  Archbishop well as I … Continue reading
