UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITIES

Douglas Carswell also gets the hectoring treatment this morning when he has the temerity to suggest that the British people must get to have a say on future EU treaty arrangements. Contrast the interruptions that characterise the Carswell interview with the studied silence that accompanies the evasive waffle from the foaming at the mouth Europhile Simon Hughes. That said, Carswell does his best although if you notice, Hughes actually gets … Continue reading

REMEMBER; LABOUR IS NOT BIASED

Here’s a classic clip from BBC Today this morning with Evan Davies showing his OUTRAGE that someone might suggest that a LABOUR party appointed panel to review future UK policing needs may be somewhat unbalanced. Poor old Blair Gibbs of the “right leaning” Policy Exchange think tank  is constantly interrupted, laughed at and contradicted because he has the temerity to suggest that Labour is biased in terms of how it … Continue reading

BOOKER REPORT

As John Anderson has already pointed out in comments, Christopher Booker has written a report for the Global Warming Policy Foundation about the BBC’s reporting of climate change and it’s due out tomorrow. Not sure what he will reveal that has not already been reported here or on other blogs like Bishop Hill or Harmless Sky – but Booker is always sharp and to the point and I’m looking forward … Continue reading

POLICE TO BLAME..

Did you read this BBC report on a new study by the London School of Economics and the Guardian newspaper (Naturally) which places “anti-police anger” as a key factor in the summer riots. Of those interviewed, 85% cited anger at policing practices as a key factor in why the violence happened. I see. Or, to put it another way, the police are to blame. How dare they try to uphold the rule … Continue reading

TRIPLE WHAMMY

Richard Black is getting pretty desperate. The reality is that nothing but hot air is emerging from the Durban climate boondoggle – showing maybe (though I am not so sure as Richard North) that the alarmist propaganda camapign is a busted flush – so overnight, he’s posted a crassly-manufactured story in an effort to give fresh momentum to his scare campaign. He tells us with wearisome predictability that “the science” … Continue reading

FRACK ME

Anyone catch “CountryFile” this evening. John Craven was doing his best to demonise the Fracking process for  making the most of Shale Gas. It says something of the note struck that when that swivel eyed eco-loon Chris Huhne is interviewed he comes across as a bit of a hardliner on the topic! Craven talked of flames coming out of taps, of earthquakes, all that was missing was the 4th horseman … Continue reading

ONE RULE FOR THEM….

I caught Nick Clegg on the BBC this morning as he was given a free canter on how to further demoralise the UK’s wealth-creating sector. Using the much loved “excessive boardroom pay” meme, Clegg was allowed to claim – outrageously – that “the public sector can’t do ALL the heavy lifting” when it comes to re-balancing our economy. (WHAT?) No dissenting opinion came back so we can be sure the … Continue reading

A ROSE BY ANY LABOUR NAME…

B-BBC contributor Alan notes; “For a long time it has been apparent that John Pienaar allows his delivery to be coloured by viewing the world through rose tinted glasses….a Labour Rose that is. Tory plans and policies are rubbished whilst Labour’s are ‘actually quite good’…..despite appearances! I haven’t seen much criticism of Pienaar and began to think perhaps it was my imagination, until I read Peter Oborne’s book, The Triumph … Continue reading

WHEN RESISTANCE BECOMES MURDER…

Biased BBC Martin from a land down under points on BBC’s double standard; “When deadly rocks are hurled by Arabs in Israel against Jews it’s called “resistance” but if it occurs in the UK then it’s “murder”: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-16018789“ Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.
