It’s on – and lots of fun.Your comments? Thus far the concept of the free market is being beaten up on with Lib-Dem Chris Huhne and John Denham leading the charge. More sovietisation of the economy please and back to the early ’70’s. Usual moonbats in the audience -higher taxes all round and sod the “rich”. Nice to see that fat bloated traitor Ken Clark patronise Sarah Palin to tumultuous applause. I suppose it slipped his mind that another female politician from humble stock rose to a position as one of the greatest leaders of the Conservative Party. It was bash Palin night amongst the spawn on the panel – no mention of lyin’ Joe Biden.

another tactic of leftists is this – when they are cornered and cannot back up their statements, then they lash out – as evidenced by the complete lack of backup for korova’s statements on join mccain’s anti-semitism.
instead , he lashes out at gcooper.
so korova – where is that evidence that mccain is an anti-semite? or are you a typical lefty , who is all mouth and no trousers.

please dont insult me – you know exactly what point you were making.
you were trying to tar mccain with the anti-semite brush.

But it’s so easy. No, my point was simple. You say Obama associated with a terrorist, I am saying that McCain associated with an anti-Semite. Seriously, I could type it in knuckle talk if it makes it easier to understand.

did the anti-semite actually bomb the pentagon?
was the mccain anti-semite involved in the killing of police officers?
err. no.
in both cases the answer is yes for bill ayers.
and bill ayers has never been sorry about it. in fact he said that he was sorry that the Weathermen didnt bomb more places and kill more cops.
nice.
thats the kind of guy that obama hangs around with.

Personally, I’m still waiting for the BBC to tackle the subject of ACORN – its role in the alleged fixing of US elections, Obama’s connections to it and, perhaps most of all, the effect it has had on the current economic collapse.
Such a deathly silence….

No, it is common knowledge that his sister, Elizabeth, was a fascist sympathiser and, after his death, edited his works to reflect her views. This is well documented. The fascists were actually inspired by his sister.

And Kirsty Wark’s political bias on BBC ‘Newsnight’ tonight (UK access via BBC iPlayer):
“Kirsty Wark jumps the shark”
[Extract, from James Forsyth, ‘Spectator]:
..”the contrast between the treatment that Osborne received, and the assumptions that lay behind the questions he was asked, and the easy ride that James Purnell got earlier in the programme was telling.”

George R: It was a mirror image of the sycophancy show to McBean by Nick Robinson, contrasted with Montaquin’s aggression to Cameron, about which I posted earlier.
The BBC has the gloves off now. There can be no doubting whose side it is on in the forthcoming election – The BBC is no longer even bothering to hide its partiality.

The troll just thoroughly hijacked this thread, without providing a single piece of evidence to back up his accusation. 33 comments out of 83 (including this one), and no evidence. Only trolling.
Don’t feed a troll who won’t acknowledge that an orthodox Jewish politician supports McCain. If McCain really liked anti-Semites, and has their support, he wouldn’t have allowed Gov. Palin to go on about how much they love Israel on national television. The end.

The almost (I except John Denman) universal trashing of Sarah Palin by the panel and audience was the very worst kind of that peculiarly British arrogance and superciliousness that is at best downright rude and at worst very dangerous to this country. If The USA should tire of us and Europe we are finished. We will have no future. Either we will become a Russian protectorate or face invasion from the east. I fear that if the good people of Kansas, Montana Georgia etc saw that programme tonight they would be appalled. We owe our comfortable European lives to the US efforts in WW2. The bilious anti Americanism -for that is what it really is- will end up by destroying Europe. Obama is the BBC’s hero because in some way he is regarded as not really American. And Sarah Palin is all too American. In Obama’s case this could prove to be a very big mistake.

McCain rejected Hagee’s endorsement. And Hagee withdrew his endorsement. McCain has since called Hagee’s beliefs “nonsense”. This was reported as far back as May of this year.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/22/mccain.hagee/index.html
How you can even compare this to the legitimate concerns over Obama’s history and background is beyond me – I don’t usually say this to anyone but you are quite clearly a simpleton. I don’t mean that as an insult, it’s just a matter of empirical fact.
Obama’s mentor of 20 years – a close friend who baptized his kids and whose services he attended and approved of for all of that time – is an anti-American white-hating racist. Obama first said that his comments were “taken out of context” (if it is possible to take those comments out of context), and then lied and said he had never heard them before. When the Pastor said, “hang on…of course he did,” only then did Obama renounce the church. Which means nothing, since the truth had already been established by anyone with an objective sense of value judgment.
Obama has worked closely with an anti-American terrorist, William Ayers, who has refused to apologize for his terrorist acts and even said as recently as 2001 that he wishes that he’d done more. He has written publicity blurb for his book and has served on a board with Ayers and had close financial connections with him in an organization which sought to keep children from learning the marketable skills they need to survive in life, to replace them with instead with a bunch of radical left wing hooey about “social justice” and “revolution”. This is tantamount to child abuse. Obama shares the same ideological beliefs as Ayers and has shown this throughout his career.
His disgraceful relationship with Chicago’s most notorious criminal property dealer is well established and not even disputed.
Now it has emerged that as recent as 1996, Barak Obama was a member of a socialist party – absolute empirical fact again, proven by the discovery of since deleted web documents which nonetheless are kept by archive.org:
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2008/10/archives_prove_obama_was_a_new.html
I mean I could go on.
Please don’t tell me that none of this is relevant, that it’s nothing more than a “desperate smear” or a “character assassination.”
If you’re too stupid to realize why it’s important, then let me explain to you as clearly as I can.
The leader of a country will always seek to use his powers to remold that country in the image of his chosen values.
Therefore, to inquire as to the nature of those values is about the most relevant question one can ask in evaluating the suitability of that person to be president.
Values, attitudes and ideological intentions are something which are shaped by a person’s past. If you dispute this, then make your case.
Which means that it is perfectly valid to bring the history of that person into question. I cannot recall nor have I heard of one democratic election in the history of the world in which the past and character of a candidate was deemed “irrelevant”. The left sure as hell raked up what they could about George W Bush and have done throughout his entire presidency. As well they should.
Senator McCain has one or two skeletons in his closet, but they are nothing more than simple errors of judgment which are completely overshadowed by his decades of devotion to his country, his bravery in combat, his history of nonpartisan politics, his fight against corruption and governmental waste.
In contrast, Obama’s entire past is a skeleton in his closet. He’s a left wing radical who was trained in the spirit of extremist Saul Alinsky, whose stated strategy was to instigate socialist revolution in America from the inside by dressing in a shirt and tie and pretending to be a centrist of the kind the American public would approve of. This is EXACTLY what Obama is doing. His entire career has been one of left wing antagonism. He worked for and obtained funding for the group which did more than anyone to cause the sub-prime mortgage crisis, ACORN. That group is now being investigated for widespread voting fraud, in their attempts to neutralize the votes of honest American civilians by making phony voting registrations and having people vote more than once.
I can’t even be bothered to go on anymore. I think I’ve made my point. Please go back to playing with your bucket and spade and stop annoying the adults. I have a hunch it’s more than past your bedtime, too.

Well said. The epidemic of anti-Americanism in Britain is a great source of shame to me as an expat living in the States. It’s about time these Yank-hating Brits learned a little about The Enlightenment and why our friendship with America is probably the most important thing of all to Britain.

‘McCain is the clear favorite of Jewish Republicans now that former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani has dropped out. And he has the L-factor – not the liberal label Romney tries to stick on him, but Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman, the Connecticut Democrat turned independent who has been an effective campaigner and fundraiser among Jews.
Match that with McCain’s 25-year pro-Israel voting record and you have the Republican with the best chance of returning his party to the Reagan-era level of at least 30 percent of Jewish voters pulling the GOP lever. In the last five presidential elections it has ranged from 9 to 24 percent. ……MCCAIN, UNLIKE recent Republican nominees, appeals to Jewish voters on issues that have earned him the enmity of his party’s conservative base – immigration reform, campaign finance reform, stem cell research, climate control and torture.
Those issues and his reputation for candor have identified him as a maverick and obscured his otherwise staunchly conservative record, which he has stressed in appearances before the party faithful. Once he locks up the nomination, that record will prove an inviting target for Democratic strategists – particularly Jewish Democrats.’ http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull&cid=1202211060463
do you REALLY believe that Jewish voters would back and anti-semitic fool? See also http://www.jewishjournal.com/elections/article/candidate_profle_john_mccain_20080201/
http://jewsformccain.blogspot.com/
he’s been the Jewish favorite since at least 1999 ‘the Republican presidential candidate closest to the heart of the Jewish community is, at least for the moment, Arizona Sen. John McCain.’ http://www.jewishworldreview.com/Marlene/marks061399.asp
McCain has condemned Hagee’s ignorant rants, against Jews, Catholics, etc. and totally rejected him if you know different provide proof
Jewish organizations, and individuals are not stupid. They wont not support and continue to support any candidate who was anti semitic…
accusations of antisemitism, or racism can only be leveled with proof, and McCain has proved with his actions over quarter of a century his support for Israel and Jewish causes.

Kirsty Wark jumps the shark
Kirsty Wark’s interview of George Osborne on Newsnight. It could easily be mistaken for a parody of BBC bias.
Wark starts off by suggesting that the Tory governments of the 1980s are to blame for the current crisis; even Gordon Brown hasn’t attempted to claim this. She then proceeds to be unable to understand why the Tories think differently about bankers’ bonuses now that they are being paid for with taxpayer money rather than bank profits.
I’m normally reluctant to claim that the BBC is biased, much of its political coverage is excellent. But the contrast between the treatment that Osborne received, and the assumptions that lay behind the questions he was asked, and the easy ride that James Purnell got earlier in the programme was telling.

This is complete and utter nonsense. I watched Question Time and not ONE SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE LISTED WERE ON THE SHOW!!
What are you blathering about Vance? Lib-Dems and Moonbats?
When I watched the show this evening I saw a balanced panel, all with opposing views.
For instance, when they got onto the subject of the fat bear that was stuck inside the tree trunk reaching for the honey pot, the stripey tiger wanted to pull him out and the grey donkey wanted to push him in further. I don’t see how you can interpret that as being unfair. NOT unless you were watching a totally different bloody episode of Question Time or something Vance. I don’t know. Maybe you had it switched onto Sky Kids, where they were showing “Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Pot Adventures or Something.”
I nearly did that.

Actually, now I think about it, they did talk an awful lot about honey in this weeks episode.
But I thought there was something wrong with my telly, and they were saying ‘money.’
