As Mandy Rice Davies Would Say……..

“They would say that wouldn’t they.”
That’s how anything said in Israel’s defence by the likes of Melanie Phillips, Alan Derschowitz, Robin Shepherd, or anyone Jewish, is brushed aside.
The BBC’s anti Israel bias is so pervasive that it is impossible for anyone to defend Israel almost anywhere in the world without being dismissed by someone uttering the notorious Mandy Rice Davies quote.

“I didn’t know you were Jewish,” the reflexive exclamation made to Richard Littlejohn when he was making ‘The War Against Britain’s Jews,’ was for me the one memorable thing about it. Yes, they thought, that would explain the inexplicable, someone siding with Jews. (He isn’t.)

Well, we can also use Mandy’s iconic phrase. With real justification.
Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, B’Tselem, Sweden, the Guardian, Islam, and most of all the BBC, are suffused with bias. Reports about human rights abuses, organ harvesting, and now that IDF has been infiltrated by rabbis who are are fanatical religious extremists.
To all of these:
You WOULD SAY THAT wouldn’t you.
The appalling Newsnight report is just the latest in the long line of the BBC’s war of attrition against Israel.
Increasing evidence of bias in individuals, groups, institutions and organisations is emerging. The Islamification of Europe is taking hold. It only remains to be seen just how far the BBC wants to take it. Will they persevere till they lose all credibility, or will they continue the indoctrination till the lunatics take over the asylum?

THOSE GAZA DEATHS…

What a surprise! The BBC is flogging the allegations by the anti-Israel “human rights” group B’Tselem that many more Palestinian civilians were killed in the Israeli military’s campaign this year in Gaza than the Israeli army admits. B’Tselem said “detailed research” showed that out of 1,400 Palestinian deaths, 773 were civilians – many of them children. Shamnesty International claims of Israeli war crimes are thrown in for good measure! Now, it would ne helpful if the BBC provided us with a little background on B’Tselem but I suppose expecting context when it comes to bashing the Jews is just a little bit too optimistic. As you can see, this EU funded Left wing group of Israeli self-haters has form when it comes to the numbers game. Biased against Israel – surely not?

GREEN SHOOTS OF RECOVERY

It would not be a normal week if the BBC was not pushing the idea that the recession is over and that green shoots of recovery are now being spotted everywhere. The Employment market is “starting to show signs of recovery” and the decline in vacancies and pay is easing. Looks like Captain Brown has steered us through the icy seas of recession and all is looking up. Rejoice, Vote Labour.

LEAVIN’ ON A JET PLANE

Having spent yesterday availing myself of the convenience of modern air travel, I tune in the BBC this morning to hear an all out attack on this necessity of everyday life. Just after 7am, there was someone on to claim that we should stop ALL domestic flights, this was balanced by further interviews with those who suggested that taxes on domestic and business would have to be scaled up IF we want to continue with flight. Naturally the prospect of a (much needed) third runway at Heathrow was damned. All of this to save the planet, of course. Curiously, the BBC could not find anyone to oppose the central contention that AGW is responsible for this pesky global warming. The science is settled. For good measure, and for the devout, Thought for the Day invoked Jesus encouraging recycling. Great to be back here and listening to the State Global Warming Alarmist.

THE PBC?

Wouldn’t the BBC be better off if it changed it’s name to the Palestianian Broadcasting Corporation such is the stream of relentless anti-Israeli propaganda disguised as “news” that it produces. It’s not just the irksome but repeated use of the biased “occupied West Bank” term but linked headings such as “Israeli troops “ill treat kids”, and “Breaking silence on Gaza abuse” (and yip, the abusers are Israelis, natch) and then there is “Fatah, a new beginning”? (They called for the use of terrorism as a legitimate form of struggle)

THOSE GUILTY MEN…

So,”three men” have been convicted of plotting to kill thousands of people by blowing up planes from London to North America with home-made liquid bombs. Home Secretary Alan Johnson says that “This case reaffirms that we face a real and serious threat from terrorism.” Interesting piece of analysis from the BBC but I think something is missing….

NOTHING TO SEE…MOVE ALONG.

Listened to an interview with Jason McCue, the lawyer for some of the NI victims of Libyan funded IRA terrorism just after 7.30am – within a minute he had a go at the Conservatives. He also pointed out that in his view Brown had not done a u-turn. What a canny Lawyer and how convenient for Prudence. Gaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam (Catchy name) is now painted as the bad guy, nothing more to see here, move along. Well done BBC, keep up the good work. Another key aspect of BBC spin on this is how it is promoting the Democratic Unionist Party as guardians of the interests of IRA victims. As you know the DUP betrayed its electorate by power sharing with the IRA. The BBC sees itself as a promoter of the NI peace process and therefore even in this case of obvious Brown duplicity it tries to help the DUPes.

Some Are More Equal Than Others …

I would love to be a fly on the wall at the conferences where the items for BBC television and radio news are decided – to try and work out why some stories make it and some don’t.

Murders are a case in point – there are about a thousand a year over the United Kingdom – three a day. Yet not only do 90% of them not make the national news – many of them aren’t even reported on the BBC web site.

At the same time, every single death of a serviceman in Afghanistan is reported on national news.

Yet the BBC finds the resource to report a non-fatal traffic accident on the same day that it ignores a homicide.

Again, as should we all be, the BBC are very down on rape – and also on torture (especially if MI6 or America may be involved).

Yet this deliberately planned rape is featured, while this deliberately planned rape and torture is ignored. This unpleasant rape and assault also seems to fly under the BBC news radar.

Two knife-wielding burglars who gang-raped a young mother in her home as her young son begged them to stop have been locked up. The drink and drug-fuelled pair took turns to rape the woman after horrifically killing the child’s pet in front of him.

Is that not “news” ? If you stab a child’s pet, does it not bleed ?

I cannot think* why the murder of James Houliston and the crimes of Reon Hall and Aaron Fitzgerald Gelly, Mansoor Shah and Stefan Reed, should not be considered worth even one report from the organisation that gives us “city tram restrictions continue“. Would anyone from the BBC like to comment ?

* (well I can, but it reflects so badly upon the BBC that I hesitate to air it).
