POLLY PARROT..

Anyone watching the Marr show? Discussing the Irish pro-Lisbon vote were the pro-EU Polly Toynbee and the pro-EU Harold Evans. Loads of balance there, right? Also some quality pro-AGW shilling using the story that Ellen Macarthur is giving up ocean racing “to save the planet”. Three liberals chatting amongst themselves – the BBC default position.

Losing my voice shouting down Polly Twatbee’s constant lies. Wish some of that poison she thinks is oozing from the Tory EU split (what split?!) would smother her face and burn it off.

BBC is in full anti Tory mode now.

Marr shows as biassed as usual, Labour cuts no consequences, Tory cuts mass unemployment.

Have to port over my comment on the open thread as I was watching…

Andrew Marr show paper reviewer for the Conservative Party conference… Polly ‘Why pick on Harriet? It’s not news’ Toynbee! There is a surprise. I guess Kevin Maguire wasn’t free for the other slot.

But what is so funny is her having been programmed (by whom?) to intone, over and over again, the mantra about Tory EU ‘toxins’. To a ridiculous level.

However, the most important story to our Andrew, is our Pol’s bigging up Dame Ellen giving up her boat for ‘climate (etc)’ promotion. One presumes she will also be giving up sailing (free air) for what mode of transport (hot air?).

Currently watching Mr. Marr bouncing up on his seat trying to get the next distracting word in edgewise over Mr. Cameron as he tries to reply. I think the poor wee man might even have had an accident.

He seems, frankly, desperate, and in comparison to Mr. Brown, Mr. Cameron is getting away with a lot simply by being calm in the face of a rabid hamster with tourettes, as opposed to a balanced, competent interviewer.

If Cameron can’t see the difference between Marr’s interview of Gordon Brown and his own interview, then he’s lost the next election.

That’s the reason for Marr’s personal question last week – it gave him the green to attack Cameron on his personal wealth – try and paint Cameron as the top Tory Toff out of touch with the public.

The Irish vote fits in with Polly’s and the BBC’s views of how things should be done – a few wise people deciding everything on behalf of the feckless, bigoted and ignorant majority.

The Sunday Times has revealed how the BBC has advised dozens of their highest paid presenters to create service companies to launder their wages through thus avoiding tax (and no doubt avoiding the new 50% tax). Wages through service companies are taxed at the lower coroporation tax rate and the BBC gets to avoid NI contributions.

    http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/tv_and_radio/article6860238.ece

Presenters implicates are Fiona Bruce, Jeremy Paxman, James Naughtie, John Humphreys, Emily Maitlis, Gavin Esler, Sophie Raworth, Sara Montague, Jeremy Vine, Adrian Chiles, Chris Moyles, Fearne Cotton and Declan Curry.

Presenters who have remained on BBC staff and who pay their taxes are Huw Edwards, Nick Robinson and Evan Davis.

Day in, day out the BBC’s news output is beating up on nationailsed banks who are supposed to moderate their behaviour when it comes to wages, bonuses and tax avoidance because they are receiving public money. Not unlike the Guardian whose parent company has moved a lot of is tax liabilities offshore and which was founded by Scott who formed a trust to avoid death duties.

Another case of do as we say, not do as we do.

Is it my imagination or does the BBC seem to have a lot of Liebour politicians on today? I thought it was generally the rule that during a party’s conference the opposition were supposed to be light on the ground? I don’t remember seeing lots of Tories on the BBC last weekend, then again that’s nothing new. Now the BBC have Baroness Kinnock (another unelected member of Nu Liebour) prattling on about Europe.

Labour’s dirty tricks & smear campaign has well and truly kicked off this morning, eagerly assisted by the BBC of course. It’s been non-stop attack the Tories this morning, on Marr and now the politics show.

A different BBC from last week.

What on earth did Marr think he was achieving by constantly interupting Cameron? The agenda has been set for the coming week, and I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.

Marr interrupted Cameron 59 times – and muttered and heckled and tried to interrupt many more times!

His banging away about inheritance tax, and how Tory cuts would lead to massive job losses (over ten questions on this single point), and his “you’re very, very rich” and “lots of people think you’re a toff” comments, and his “what’s the personal wealth of yourself and your wife?” question, and his bringing up of that picture of Dave at the Bullingdon Club, all could have been scripted by the rogues that live in Brown’s bunker.

Contrast that with the gentle, respectful treatment Baroness Kinnock got from Paddy O’Connell on ‘Broadcasting House’. (I think this is an earlier appearance than the one Martin mentioned.)

‘Broadcasting House’ followed Grim Glenys with a feature on Old Etonians in the Tory Party (featuring an ‘Observer’ journalist).
Then there was ‘The Politics Show’ and the Conservatives/fox-hunting story Llew pointed out earlier. We had mention of the “upper classes” and Paola Buonadonna’s report came from the Old Berkshire Hunt, which by a staggering coincidence (not!) just happens to be run by a certain Viscount Astor, who just happens to be the stepfather of Samantha Cameron.

Just saw Laura Kunsberg (the jock blonde) interviewing Daniel Hannan, all she could do was keep going back to Hannan’s comment that Cameron was working behind the scenes to ensure a referendum as one had been promised by all the parties, but reneged upon by Gordon brown. Kunsberg just kept repeating that this must mean Cameron is interfering in the affairs of other Countries.

    What gets me is

    1. The whole purpose of the EU is to interfere with individual states

    2. The BBC have totally forgotten that Brown promised a referendum, the Tories MUST hammer that all week every time a beeboid raises it

    3. People want to hear about the economy not the BBC’s ‘opinion’ on Europe.

The Tories MUSt get to grips with the Biased Broadcasting Corp as a priority when despite the latter’s best efforts, they are elected.  Not to do so would be criminally neglectful!

A line quoted by the reporter doing the fox hunting piece on the Politics Show…

“hunting & the countryside are in the Conservatives’ DNA”.

Is that so, it must also be true then that “wrecking the economy” is in Labour’s genes. Can’t see beebboids coming up with that one somehow.

Nice to see Toenails Robinson right on Beeboid message on the BBC 1 news. Oh dear for the Tories what about the referendum, well Toenails why didn’t you ask Brown last week why HE didn’t holds the one HE promised?

Good luck. Weeds tend to return no matter what.

It is interesting that across the political blogosphere there is an infestation at the moment.

Either spouting nonsense, crushing ripostes like ‘I don’t think so’ (usually followed by an ad hom) or a copy and paste from some kind of briefing notes.

      Almost like it was meant.

Surely no one can be so sad as to waste the time to post in such ways without being funded?

It is the EU that has the problem not the Tory party. To create a state without the free and willing consent of a mojority of it’s prospective citizens is a recipe for total disaster. The Tory party is merely reflecting, as is it’s duty, the scepticism that exists in this country. In the EU statists’ hearts I am sure they know this but blindly push on with the wholehearted support of the libleft media.
It is yet another example of the fantasy world the elite inhabits. Forty odd years of getting their own way has made them arrogant and complacent. AS the counter revolution gathers pace they are starting to panic. Terrifyingaand bribing the Irish into a yes vote and hoping to split the Tory party . Cameron should keep his nerve and stick to his policy.
The one people the EU elites really fear is the English. Without us the EU is dead but how to get our freely given support. ? They just don’t know so hence the chicanary and the distortions. Soon maybe the threats and the bribes.
The EU needs us much more than we need the EU. This is our strength if we did but know it.
The risk in allowing us a referendum is too great. The stupid bovine dumb English might just vote no.
Our betters, the Toynbees et al of the world , should decide for us.
After all they understand the true meaning of democracy better than us. They are educated whilst we merely have opinions.
THat stubborn notion of what freedom really means that cannot be truly described but is bred into us down the generations.
This is what must be destroyed .
Come on BBC do your bit for the noble cause of the EU. Future generations will come to revere your memory.
