LAW AND ORDE…

I know I’ve been banging on about this but the BBC really is using Sir Hugh Orde to undermine David Cameron’s authority. This morning, the BBC’s official candidate for next Met Chief, was to the fore in pointing out that Police Chiefs. not politicians, were responsible for the “magnificent” actions in recent nights. In particular, they use him to undermine Theresa May and speculate how she could work with him should he deign to put his hat in the ring for the job. Orde is a great asset to the BBC these days and since he ascended to his perch at ACPO he has been a trenchant critic of the Coalition. The BBC know their own and always look after them.

Yes Radio 5 with ‘sober’ Sopel have been doing the same thing. All of a sudden Orde is a hero of the left, never ever thought I’d hear that.

Of course Cameron is spot on and reflecting the view of the public that the Police WERE useless. What is the one comment we keep hearing? That the Police were either not around or when they were they sat back and did nothing. That cost the lives of 5 people.

I think it must be frustrating for the BBC though as even on the phone ins they can’t get enough BBC employees to ring in pretending to be members of the public and to trash Cameron. Perhaps because a lot of beeboids in the posh parts of London like Ealing were also affected?

The immediate question that came to me was, does Theresa May have powers to tell police to cancel leave or not?  I didn’t catch this being asked by the BBC when it seems to be the obvious one.

And supposing she doesn’t, did she actually say she told them or did she just suggest it would be a good idea?  I haven’t been able to find the wording used.

Though frankly it wouldn’t surprise me if she did try to claim credit for something she hasn’t the powers to do.  She’s sufficiently useless. I’m just puzzled as to why the BBC wouldn’t probe further.

The question is why were the media (in particular the BBC) so demanding that Cameron get back here and take control?

The BBC is trying to have it both ways, on the one hand accusing the Tories of posturing but also attacking Cameron, May and Johnson for not coming back off holiday soon enough.

Oh god now we have Red Ed showing up at some Brixton shit shole and the BBC just loving it.

Orde has just said live on Sky News that some of his interview on Newsnight was quote “left on the cutting room floor”. So is Orde suggesting that the BBC is using him as a political pawn?

Be good to get that quote.

I love presenting Newsnight or The Editor’s with such things, though in this case it won’t be a BBC clip, which they have even modded out in the past when their own words damn them.

Sky News cover Orde’s statement live whilst the BBC cover Red Ed live. Now why does the BBC think hearing from Red Ed is more important than Orde?

Oh and will the BBC edit out Orde’s dig as them for editing his Newsnight interview?

Sky taking Red Ed’s boring speech but also showing Clegg live, the BBC, it’s Red Ed all the way.

Red Ed talking utter bollocks, you’re NOT in power turd face!

The Conservatives got nowhere near this exposure when they were in Opposition, and were given a hard time when expressing their views.  It seems ‘BBC Bent’ is on the rampage this morning, having decided what line to take with Labour.

Anyone sucking up to Mandelson and his creepy PSNI stuff of old is not to be trusted.
Yet if Theresa May was your “superior”…my God, how low are you?
This is a woman who could not run a 1:1 in a playpen with the child of Nelson Mandela and Mother Theresa, had they got together way back!
The woman is a personal disaster in all she goes near…haunted, hunted, hapless and hopeless.
When your shoes get more credibilty than you do?…
Just get Bill Bratton-and send Ordure and May off to the Tottenham SureStart please…

I caught BBC News 24 headlining about 9 O’Clock this morning that Orde had said it was the Police not Cameron responsible for Police tactics that quashed the riots.  I caught an extremely strong whiff of ‘agenda’, and awaited the clip of Orde saying this.  To my mind, he didn’t.  What the BBC showed could be interpreted as that, but no way justifies the hysterical and partisan headline they were leading with.  Then we had the BBC Correspondent very careful not to say that Cameron had claimed credit for Police tactics that defeated the riots, just that hed ‘given that impression’ in the House yesterday, then nonetheless strongly leading with the meme that Orde had slapped him down.

All I remember of Cameron is him saying he had consulted with Police Chiefs and announcing what they were going to do.  I stand to be corrected, but what I see here is ‘BBC bent’ at its worse, coordinating with Labour with, it appears, the complicity of Orde, to generate negative, breathless headlines against Cameron.

And Cameron continues to let it happen, despite the glaring evidence he can use against ‘BBC Bent’.

If Orde gets the commissioners job then the Met will be shafted, just as the RUC were.

      John,
You mean the Met could get worse, God help us all in that case!

Can’t see that happening, May I think has the final say, although Boris might want to appoint him.

It will also be a joke if they give it to that Cresida Dick, she’s as useless as May is.

Livingstone  / Orde is the BBC dream ticket to run London.

ACPO is by the way an unaccountanable FOI exempt private company yet trousers ten million a year in public funding.

Normal service will soon be resumed.

Yes the BBC are cheerleading for Orde, when asked this morning about it some beeboid stated “Hugh Orde is the favourite even though he’s yet to throw his hat in”

Really? Do we need a man that failed in Northern Ireland in charge of the Met?

  11. David Preiser (USA) says:

Cut ACPO, and there will be no need to reduce police numbers.  And police leadership might be more functional as well.  Problem solved.  The News Channel instead has been running a segment with Orde where he thinks everything is great except the cuts to police numbers.

Cannot believe what i heard this Orde cretin say on the news.
To paraphrase… ‘that there were a limited number of casualties, and that most of them were policemen – so that was a success.’
    WTF???
..so the scumbags take less casualties, and that’s a success?
The more i hear from these peecee invertebrates, the more i detest them (if its possible to detest them more!)
And i wanted to wash my ears out with bleach after hearing Tom Parmeston on SKY, interviewing those 4 semi-literate baboons attempting to justify their looting with sociology-shit, straight out the leftist useful-idiocy manual.

Yes, after all, it was only a small matter of a few people dead. /sarc

I want the police equipped, armoured and protected too. Don’t want them dead or injured, either.

I’ve just watched Orde’s interview on Newsnight last night which the BBC used to justify their breathless ‘Orde rebukes Cameron’ headlines this morning.  Very overblown stuff.  It was clear a bulb lit up in the head of some bent BBC leftie editor on the A shift the next day who decided to spin the interview for Labour regardless of the actual content of the interview itself.  Orde’s comments needed clarification, but instead the BBC decided to put words into Orde’s mouth to damage Cameron.

    BBC Bent.

Cameron needs an outsider to lead the Met  and preferably someone who is not already a cheif in any of the British forces. The reason is, every police “service” in Britain now have the PC sociology type bosses brought in under the corrupt Labour government.

This should be the next Met boss:

But May seems to have put the block on reforming the police due to her dripping wet policies.
