This year I only went to the Proms once. I am not exactly sure that I expected a prom of Marvin Gaye music or Disney. And however much the world might miss Dolly, I understand she wasn’t forgotten on the Last Night.
In my youth I would get a season ticket. I went every night. Sometimes I liked the music, and sometimes I didn’t. I found I quite liked Wagner and even Stravinsky neither of whom fitted in with the early music I still enjoy to this day.
I didn’t see anybody in the audience in 2026 who wasn’t white, maybe the ethnic minorities were at the Marvin Gaye, but then it wasn’t stretching their interests.
And I do miss there no longer being a Gilbert and Sullivan night.
This definitely would not be on the BBC

As I switched on GBNews this evening, I heard Rabbi Jonathan Romain on Free Speech National. What I heard him say made my blood run cold. It was his certainty that we haven’t heard the last of the determination for the bill to come before Parliament again. Whatever your view of assisted killing (my observation is that whatever safeguards are introduced the bar for killing gets lowered very quickly), it is the Left that never accepts a majority view if it doesn’t fit their agenda).

For several decades the BBC has chosen to illustrate articles on its website with a disproportionate number of ethnic minorities. Initially they would try to justify this by saying that Britain is a multiracial and multicultural society and they are merely reflecting that; however, now they feel no such compulsion. Today they are reporting about changes to school meals. The lead photo features three children of South Asian heritage. We then have a photo of the headmistress of a school in Birmingham, called Farzana Ahmed. Just to make sure you get the message, we then hear from ‘Newly-eligible parent Kinza (Butt) who is delighted her children can now have free school dinners’, wearing a headscarf of course.
Last week the BBC carried a report on how educational standards are allegedly improving in England, illustrated with a picture of three black boys. These boys were sharply in focus, whilst in the background were some White boys, out of focus to emphasise their unimportance. Some might ask: do the races self-segregate in this manner (and if so, why) or was this because the photo was staged?
What is going on here is that the BBC is increasingly moving towards reporting that features ethnic minorities exclusively. The intention is to promote a vision of Britain – well, Yookay – which excludes the native population altogether. This is intended as a form of humiliation: White Britons are held in such contempt by the establishment that they are no longer worthy of any representation whatsoever. Alternatively: it’s not your country and you don’t belong here any more.

She and Nick Robinson have the same approach, which is why they butt heads and didn’t get on on Today…both wanting to be the star and both adopting the same interview technique where the interviewee needs to shut up and let Robinson and Barnett tell them what they think and are saying….’So what you are saying is’ rapidly followed by…’sorry no more time for a reply…interview’s over’….leaving us with Robinson or Barnett’s own opinion as ‘fact’. [Robinson at it again with Richard Tice this morning].
This was spectacularly demonstrated last week when Barnett tried to rail-road Badenoch in a very intemperate and ill-judged interview.

I was at a school governor meeting at the time Jamie Oliver was attacking turkey twizzlers (no, I have never eaten one). The Conservative government declared school children should have oily fish once a week. The school, in an area of high deprivation, had prepared fresh salmon for the children who wouldn’t eat it. £200 worth of fresh salmon had to be thrown away. The only comment from the governors was ‘fancy expecting children to eat salmon’.
I was in a college attended by many inner city students. The Head of the Catering department had hoped to teach these young people to make healthy pizzas. The students refused to eat what they had prepared. Head of Deparment tried again. She bought a range of pizzas, from Pizza Express to Morrison’s cheapest. The students favourite was the Morrisons all dough no vegetables version.

Nick Robinson did a very easy going ‘interview’ with the architect of the anti-Reform donation bill going through Parliament at the moment. Not a single question suggesting that maybe, just maybe, this was a Soviet-like and entirely corrupt attempt to rig the political system in order to stop a political opponent from winning. It is remarkable that our flagship news programme would avoid that question that goes right to the heart of our democracy…a government rushing in laws in order to prevent other parties, Reform in particular, from winning. Robinson, rather than raising questions, seemed rather keen on the idea of back-dating such laws to catch the latest Reform donations…he wanted to know if that would be the case but didn’t ask if such laws would pass a sniff test….and they smell to high-heaven.
Labour of course rigs ‘democracy’ in other ways….its anti-Jew, pro-Hamas terrorist policies are designed to attract Muslim voters….so not only is the old problem of institutional anti-Semitism raising its ugly head again inside Labour but it’s combined with a willingness to corrupt the political system in order to buy votes by other means that directly handing out cash.

Here’s another idea coming from labour’s retrospective games they want to play with and how they could be applied.
They should get a committee formed, perhaps all the Manchester United Board members, to go through all the football results one by one and change them if they think some results were not fair.
Disallow goals scored against them and allow offside goals and others which they have scored.
They could adjust all the results and present us with the new final tables backdated to the start of the Premier League.
The prize monies would also be changed because with Manchester United winning every season they would be due a lot of backdated money.
Teams like Arsenal, Liverpool etc would have money taken from them even though they would now be in the second division.
If it’s going to be ok to change laws and rules retrospectively it’s the end of civilisation with the dictator able to do whatever he wants.
