Balls Always In Favour Of Plan A

Ed Balls was always in favour of Plan A, in fact he always thought that Osborne was not going far enough fast enough.

Well..Flanders hasn’t quite pushed that lie yet but it can’t be long judging by the way she is spinning for Balls right now.

She told us on 5Live Drive at 18:45 that Osborne claims Plan A has proven to be successful.

Flanders thinks not claiming:

‘We’ll never be able to say if there was a better way to improve living standards.’

This is the journo who repeatedly peddled Balls’ Plan B and constantly suggested that we take advantage of low interest rates and borrow more and whilst we’re at it…build more houses on the government’s dollar.

She has spent the last three years telling us that there is a better way.

She also claimed that it is a weak point in Osborne’s claims that in fact Austerity had slowed….so maybe in fact it was Plan B lite.

But of course borrowing went up in reaction to the unexpected crash in Europe…the borrowing was a reaction to that and the subsequent effects on our own economy….therefore Austerity was till going ahead full steam but adjusted for new circumstances which knocked that economy.

highlight must surely be Balls saying you can’t re-write history! I mean of all the bare-faced unbelievable gall of this sack of lying hypocritical shit.

It has been interesting to note Labour’s tactics now the recovery is under way.

Twice in the last month Miliband has said something along the lines that Cameron is dancing with delight now he has claimed to have ‘fixed the economy’.

He and Balls were at it again today, as was McClusky, Osborne the target. Of course Cameron said nothing of the sort, far from it – he has been ultra cautious on the recovery. Osborne was positive but emphasised that dangers were still there.

It’s an interesting but old Labour tactic to comment negatively on something that someone has not said. Labour’s Maguire is a seasoned exponent of the technique, using it on the paper review a few nights ago.

Flanders used it today, but was more subtle. Her take was that Osborne wasn’t exactly claiming victory…but was as good as, setting Osborne up for (or validating) an attack from Labour and a fall when we inevitably have a few bumps along the road on our long climb out of the hole her ex boyfriend left

What a country where the 0.7% growth Osborne is “achieving” is accepted as an achievement by Tories, BBC & Labour.

Outwith the EU countries (& thus unreported by the BBC) the world growth rate has been 6% annually for years. No British party but UKIP is prepared to mention this because none of them, except UKIP, even aspire to match the world average.

Interesting factoid, Mr Craig. Care to supply a source for that data ?

From what I can find, (Index Mundi), global growth rates as a whole have been as follows over the past few years

      1999 3%; 2000 4.8%; 2001 2.7%; 2002 approx 3.2%; 2003 3.8%; 2004 4.9%; 2005 4.7%; 2006 5.3%; 2007 5.2%; 2008 3.1%; 2009 -0.7%; 2010 4.9%; 2011 3.7%.

Admittedly, this includes Europe, but what the hey – they’re part of the world, aren’t they ? It seems that only China, and perhaps India, of the real, larger, economies, has a growth rate of over 6% recently.

But, if you have the data to disprove Index Mundi, I’d be happy to see it.
