DisHarmany And Disarray

The BBC long ignored the Daily Mail’s revelations about Harman and Co at the NCCL.  The BBC didn’t investigate the claims and only began to ‘report’ the story when Harman made her defence.

The BBC on the other hand has been quick to report a story in the Times about Tory MP Peter Bone.

Curious what catches their eye.

Having said that Newsnight did put the boot into Harman……

Harman tells us that…..

“I think if there is anybody who has over the years supported indecency it is much more the Daily Mail than it is me and that’s the frank truth of it.”

Of course it was the Daily Mail that introduced 24 hour drinking, or a free for all gambling regime where gambling machines were as addictive as ‘crack’,  or engineered the destruction of the economy or put young Brits on the ‘scrapheap’ preferring instead to import millions of cheap labourers.

Sorry no, my mistake…it was in fact Harriet Harman’s very own Labour Party that did that.

Unfortunately for Harman it’s not just the Mail that recognises she may have something to answer for…here’s the Telegraph in 2012:

How Hattie’s friends defended paedophilia

By  Politics Last updated: October 19th, 2012

‘….attitudes towards paedophilia in the 1970s were bizarrely relaxed – and not just in Catholic presbyteries or BBC dressing rooms. This was the era when activists on the radical Left lobbied long and hard for changes in the law to reflect a more “enlightened” attitude towards sex between adults and minors.’

The National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL), which – in its evidence to the Criminal Law Revision Committee in 1976 – had said the following:

“Childhood sexual experiences, willingly engaged in, with an adult result in no identifiable damage… The real need is a change in the attitude which assumes that all cases of paedophilia result in lasting damage.”

In 1977, months before the future deputy leader of the Labour Party took up her post, the NCCL was quoted in the Evening Standard on the subject of the infamous Paedophile Information Exchange, the “information” in question being disgusting pictures of children involved in sex acts which members would pass to each other in plain envelopes. “NCCL has no policy on [the Paedophile Information Exchange’s] aims – other than the evidence that children are harmed if, after a mutual relationship with an adult, they are exposed to the attentions of the police, press and court,” said a spokesman.

Perhaps that attitude informed Harman’s take on photographs of children being OK…as long as there was no harm to the child…..but…..

“Our amendment places the onus of proof on the prosecution to show that the child was actually harmed,” she wrote.

So she thinks there is no prima facie belief that such behaviour is harmful and so should be allowed to continue unless proved harmful?

Very relaxed and liberal.

Also from the Telegraph, 2009….not a paper that Harman can try to dismiss as ‘puerile’ :

Harriet Harman under attack over bid to water down child pornography law

Harriet Harman’s political judgement has been called into question after it emerged that she once advocated the watering down of child pornography laws.

Whilst Newsnight did a reasonable job that hasn’t continued throughout today…None of the actual claims about the NCCL were aired in detail, instead we had Harman’s denials and defence and her tweeting of a Daily Mail story in a desperate attempt to throw a bit of mud back……

This is the actual Mail story in its Television and celebrity news section……

Inside Courtney Stodden photo album: Teen bride as an innocent 12-year-old… posing with sisters in first bikini shoot

Personally, having read the Mail for years, I can’t say I’ve ever noticed it urging us all to go out and chase young girls in bikinis.

However, make of it what you want but if it is ‘titillating’ and the ‘sexualisation of children’ as Harman claims, and the BBC has repeatedly repeated that for her, then what to make of this from the Left’s own progressive little rag, The Huffington Post  (prone to publish plenty of revealing photos as Guido reveals….and yet no disparagement from Harman just as she does as she dumps on the Sun for its page 3)…..

The Huffington Post devotes a whole section to little Courtney…..

And look…they report the same story that the Mails does about the girl:

Courtney Stodden: Young Photos Before She Was Married

Follow Video , Courtney Stodden , Courtney Stodden At 12 , Courtney Stodden At 13 , Slidepollajax , Young Photos Of Courtney Stodden , Celebrity News

A new batch of photos became available today that were taken when Courtney was about 12 or 13, her mother Krista Stodden told Celebuzz.

While some of Courtney’s poses in these older photos are still suggestive, there is no denying that she actually looks like a teenager. One of the photos is of Courtney with her older sisters Ashley and Brittany in a hot tub, who their mother says are both married with husbands their own ages.

The Huffington Post publishes photos of Courtney Stodden when she was 12 or 13 and link to the same picture that the Mail reproduced:

Courtney Stodden Before She Was Famous

Why no outraged feminist fury from Harman?

Other Media publications aren’t averse to a bit of ‘titillation’ either…the Guardian celebrating Kate Moss being the ‘object of our gaze‘  and ‘turning heads’ since she was 14…..

Kate Moss at 40: supermodel still turning heads after 25 years

Croydon-born beauty has been the object of our gaze since she was 14 but shows no sign of losing her place at the top

and the BBC isn’t averse to using her, though older (19), in its own celebrity news where we see that a half dressed, drinking and smoking Kate Moss is…

Kate Moss: Crazy, sexy, cool

Link via  a proxy server as this BBC Worldwide site not available in UK:

http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20140213-kate-moss-crazy-sexy-cool

The BBC has been ‘pouring’  over Harman’s story all day…and yet manage to shed little light on the issues.

Sheila Fogarty said she would be keeping a close eye on what would no doubt be the dominant news story today.….and yet not much of interest came forth despite the underwhelming, lacklustre efforts of John Pienaar to explain things…..just the usual repetitions of Harman’s denials and counter smear against the Mail….but as shown above that’s a classic case of hypocrisy from Harman…shame the BBC gives it so much credence.

This BBC report does little to enlighten us as to the ‘evidence’ that the NCCL did act in concert with the PIE….neither quoting from nor linking to any of the documents that are fairly damning for the NCCL and which the Mail has revealed in its own stories.

This is the best the BBC can do:

The newspaper initially accused her of having “tried to water down child pornography laws” during her time at the National Council for Civil Liberties

And that’s despite having the documents available themselves as Newsnight stated in the interview with Harman.

It does look like the BBC is doing a fine job, Newsnight aside, in covering up for Harman and downplaying the claims whilst highlighting her own claims about the Mail.

How times have changed when they tried to smear Lord MacAlpine without any evidence or bothering to talk to him personally…but then he was a Tory.

The BBC should really check what the real people think:

Harperson Squirming Like A Stuck Pig

What is it with the Left and dirty perverts? The movement is saturated with ’em. The BBC had no option but to put on this tough treatment after days of being silent. This woman is a sanctimonious, muesli eating hippie and I hope her career is destroyed much the same way as her foul policies have ripped apart the traditional fabric of this nation. A vote for the Left is a vote for dirty perverts and indulgent dope-smoking hippies.

What is it with Labour and the left and dirty perverts: A number of Labour councillors and MPs have a sordid past.

In April 2009 a former Wigan councillor who downloaded child porn and had a gun and ammunition in his safe was jailed for six years. A court heard that Joseph Shaw’s offending came to light after his daughter found the indecent images on his computer.

Labour Councillor and former Mayor (Halton/Cheshire), Liam Temple was convicted in 2004 of “Inciting a child under 16 to commit an act of gross indecency” after the 58-year old Labour pervert had attempted to molest a 12-year old girl.

Labour Councillor (Coxhoe/Durham), Les Sheppard was convicted in 2004 on ten counts of indecent assault on young girls. Jailed for 2 years, and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years. Teeside Crown Court heard how 71 year old Cllr Sheppard lured his victims into his gold Porsche before driving them to remote spots.

Labour Councillor (Wokingham/Berkshire), Nelson Bland was another one convicted on 16 counts of possession and distribution of hardcore child porn in 2004. Sentenced to community service, placed on the sex offender’s register and ordered to attend rehabilitation classes for paedophiles.

Labour Councillor and Mayor-Elect (Merton/London), Sam Chaudry was due to become Merton’s first Asian Mayor, before he was arrested, tried and convicted of multiple sex attacks on young girls in 1999. One of his victims was a 5-year old.

Labour Mayor (Burnley/Lancashire), Peter Swainston was convicted of committing `Acts of gross indecency` with another man in a public toilet in 1997. Forced to resign as Mayor, although he remained on the Council

Labour Councillor (Bridgend/South Wales), Iestyn Tudor Davies was convicted, jailed for 7 years, and placed on the sex offender’s register for life in 2005, for repeatedly raping a 9-year old girl

If you and your kind what to turn this issue into a political knock out you better make sure you side is clean matey.

Typical playground-quality debating tactics: “your lot are just as bad as us, so no case to answer for”

The DIFFERENCE here, even if there is one, is that you have identified some Conservative party members who have been charged with sex offences, but the radical element at the base of this story have been associated with activists who want to change the saw so that none of the conservatives that you list could have been convicted. There is a difference between being the dregs of society, and wanting to bring society down. If you can’t spot that, then that fully qualifies you for voting Labour for the rest of your life.

Jimbo you quote 8 Nasty Tories but only 4 of them were convicted. I take it you believe in innocent until proven guilty?

But that’s a bit irrelevant here isn’t it, a diversion worthy of the RRU, formerly at Millbank. The issue here is that Harman has posed as both a moral guardian and a libertarian when it suited her career.

She’s been caught bang to rights and no amount of distraction posting can change that simple fact.

On the face of it Harman’s name is all over a very incriminating NCCL document backing a paedophile agenda.

Surely the BBC must point out that, as the NCCL’s legal officer at the time, it is proof that she was complicit in that agenda and ask her a) why did she back an agenda that is vile and abhorrent to the vast majority of the British people b) have her views changed c) even if they have then, given this evidence, is she fit for public office.

This is a very senior political figure backing paedophilia for God’s sake.

Laura K did a fair job on Harman and the Beeb will use that to defend themselves about claims of partiality but now the defend Harriet at all costs will ramp up – key points to the narrative – 70’s (ignores the fact it carried on into the 80’s and she is on record re: Saville, Hall etc that the past is another country excuse won’t wash, the irony of her trying to use it now!); She worked for NCCL – downplays her role; ignore the fact that her name is all over documents campaigning to reduce age of consent, decriminalise child pornography etc; report Jack as having fought to expel PIE without any hard evidence of this; Jack’s twitter habits which seem to point to a very broad interest in the sexual spectrum won’t be aired etc etc plus all of the interference they will run – Bone, Brooks etc to drive it off the agenda. Bit of an incoherent rant but the sheer dishonesty makes me sick.

The facts amply demonstrated above that this story re HH being an apologist of the PIE, have been around for years but have never achieved the traction of the latest effort ,speaks volumes about the staying power of the Daily Mail and even more about the leftist pro Labour bias of the BBC.
If, on any of the previous attempts to get HH to tell us what on earth she and her fellow Labour Grandees were doing at the NCCL giving tacit support to PIE, the BBC had given the story air time we would have reached the position we are in today. It was the BBC’s policy of protecting HH from this story, that enabled it to be kept off the radar of the British public for so long. Only the persistence of the Mail has forced the issue this time round. So well done to the Mail for an excellent piece of journalism, and three cheers for freedom of the press. If HH and Labour had their way they would have used Leveson to ensure that newspapers couldn’t run stories like this, without fear of penal damages.
One again the state funded BBC has been shown up to be so biased in favour of the left that it is demonstrably unfit to receive tax payers money and also far too powerful for a healthy democracy to flourish. The BBC is killing democracy in this country.

“Even after the Prime case, PIE remained affiliated – and this paper can find no contemporary record of a public expression of regret from the NCCL.”

Quisling Jowell was on the Today’s Labour Political broadcast this morning. Quisling Davies said she was on to help ‘deconstruct leftist-thinking and sexual deviants’ in the 1970s, and why they sailed so close to each other. Naturally this was too much for Jowell, who recognised it as her Pravda-platform to let the eloi know that the sun does really shine out of Quisling Harman’s, Hewitt’s and Drone’s pie-holes.

Also with reference to Hewitt who is in much deeper than Harman. It is interesting that the Quisling Broadcasting Corporation has tried to track down the President or ex-President of the Ukraine. But seems unable to find Quisling Hewitt. Davis – giggling as usual – said something along the lines that Hewitt was unable to comment ‘as she was overseas’. I guess no Quisling journalist could catch a plane for an interview, or otherwise there must be no phones in Bongo-Bongo-Land.

The fact is that Harman et al were no different from the rest of the gang of hard Left lawyers and crooks that made up New Labour and that all the damage to this country that has ensued since Blair took the reins of power flows from this conspiracy of cultural Marxists.

Even if the Mail succeeds in taking the scalps of Harman. Dromey and Hewitt, the rest of the infection is still out there, waiting to continue its programme which is, in a nutshell, to transform British society out of all recognition.

Which is precisely why the BBC has been defending the trio so hard. It badly – very badly indeed – wants Labour’s programme of Gramscian revolution back on the rails.

It is an odd sort of tory smear campaign. Since when have tory smear campaigns:

    A) Been 100% truthful
    B) Been carried by the Guardian and Mirror asking the same questions
    C) Not been mentioned by any senior member of the conservative party?

The labour paedophile scandal is a legitimate, public interest story, which has been extensively researched, has multiple sources, a mountain of supportive documentary evidence and is what the mainstream media should be doing.

The BBC by contrast, stuck their fingers in their ears and shouted “LA LA LA WE CAN’T HEAR YOU” for days until they decided to come out swinging 100% in defence of labour as their first reactions to this story were.

It wasn’t until Laura Kuenssberg tweeted that she was interviewing Harriet Harmschildren for Newsnight and received loads of twitter replies on what to ask, that the BBC actually appeared to show any sort of journalistic presence whatsoever. Even than I would have asked far more telling questions that Laura, but kudos to her for actually persevereing and asking some decent questions at all.

One thing is for sure, the Labour party are now the paedo party and this will be rammed down their necks for the next 18 months.
