Berlin thinks it is making religious history as Muslims, Jews and Christians join hands to build a place where they can all worship. The House of One, as it is being called, will be a synagogue, a church and a mosque under one roof.

My view : follow Jesus or you’re going to Hell. The Jews have a Covenant with God – obey the rules He set down and you will be good with Him. The Christians were given a new Covenant by Jesus – that’s why He died for us and was Risen. Believe in Jesus and through Him you will be saved. The muslims are followers of Satan. So, how can there be any equivalence between the three religions. The Torah Jews and the Christians are following the same God under different relationships but the muslims are truly the lost people and need to be prayed for to help them find the path to Salvation.

I agree with you. Muslims are suffering far beyond the suffering they are inflicting on Christians still remaining in Islamic lands.
It seems that Mohammed made a compact with the devil, under the impression that it was Gabriel. He was promised lots of money (loot), lots and lots of sex on earth, and even more in the Islamic paradise. He just couldn’t let it pass.
We know where Faustian bargains lead. Muslims all over the world are suffering from extreme violence. It won’t be long before this tide sweeps over the gulf states that have been funding the evil Jihad.
We must pray for Muslims – men, women and children, no matter how offended we are with beheadings etc. Pray that God has mercy on them, and do so in the name of Jesus.

It’s not a model for future places of worship that will be replicated any time soon in, say, Saudi Arabia or Iraq… There are so-called multi-faith chapels in British airports, universities, hospitals and so on. However, they are usually dreadfully bland as anything that might “offend” is not allowed. In some cases they are taken over or dominated by one of the three religions – let’s just say it’s the one that has contributed least of all in “shaping European culture”. Interesting to contrast with other parts of the World; in Jerusalem anyone is free to worship at the Western Wall, whereas non-Muslims are not even allowed in the Al Aqsa mosque (or at least were not last time I was there). In India, it’s not uncommon to come across little shrines that Hindus, Muslims and Christians will all visit and pray at, even if the concept is fundamentally incompatible to the religions.
I too was barred from even looking inside the Al Asqa mosque in Jerusalem. It is a general ban. And there is a de facto prohibition, I believe, on Jews (as against Christian tourists) going up from the Western / Wailing Wall on to the Temple Mount, where their Temple used to stand.
If the doors are open, anyone can walk into a Christian church in this country. But it is often awkward if not impossible to enter a mosque.
I went round the Al Aqsa mosque as well as the Golden Dome in 1980 with a Muslim guide. It’s a shame if they have now stopped non-Muslims going in.
I queued for several hours a couple of years ago just to get to the Temple area, let alone in to the mosque which I understood would be out of bounds anyway. Others out of several hundred had been queuing much longer than me. The Muslims authorities simply decided not to bother opening it that day, but didn’t tell anyone of course.
Whatever you do, don’t even consider visiting Mecca during the Hajj.
Can I presume this knowledge is as a result of a ‘special revelation’ from the almighty himself? If so, did this come in the form of golden tablets, a vision, or a whispered voice in a cave?

Ideas such as this only work on Paper. For example City University in London did something similar and came up with an idea of a mutli-faith prayer room. The Muslims were having none of this and decided to claim it as their own and banned other faiths from praying. When the Uni found out, they closed it down and then the Islamic students played the victimcard to the bBC

So Muslim women are now happy to remove their veils in front of “praying” Muslim men???? Does that mean the veils are only used as a means to alienate themselves from the rest of us, and not as a modesty device at all??

Getting a foot in is becoming a common Muslim tactic. In Spain the Muslims campaign to pray at Córdoba Cathedral, which was a mosque at one time but began as a church. The Spanish Catholic authorities both say ‘NO’ as does the Vatican.
Before you get bleary eyed about multifaith harmony you’d may be interested in a story I’ve been following for a number of years.
It’s about a Christian Pastor in Iran. Youcef Nadarkhani, who was sentenced to death for being a Christian and refusing to denounce his Christian faith. Despite his family being murdered by the Iranian authorities he refused to sign the paper that could have saved his life.
Sadly this brave man has now been executed despite complete silence from our politicians. our media and our churches.

The silence of the Church in free Western countries to the persecution of Christians has been deafening. Not helped by a very BBC-like deference to Islam and the occasional quisling behaviour of some local Christians.
Not that it necessarily has any practical difference but Nadarkhani was charged with the crime of apostasy, renouncing his Islamic faith not being a Christian. Iranian Christians are recognized as a “protected religious minority”. I am not sure how much the Dhimmi rules are applied but as sharia law is the overriding principle minorities are anything but equal. According to the Constitution of Iran Christians possess freedom of religion and even have a Member of Parliament (MP) representing them.
According to some priest on BBC News on Breakfast on Sunday the Bible is more violent than the Koran so we have lots to learn from Islam…….no wonder the COE is dying as it is stuffed full of pathetic liberals who are ashamed of their faith and probably don’t believe in God
There may be more instances of deaths in the bible because the bible (old testament) is mainly a quasi historical book – relating ‘facts’ – and in the past great historical events tended to be battles.
‘God’ is reckoned to have killed between 2.5 and 25 million people in the Bible.
However there is relatively little in the bible about the prophets exhorting Jews and Christians to go around killing off the oppos.
So you could say that violence in the Old Testament is a noun whereas in the Koran it is a verb.

I’m not sure how those figures were reached but even if we take the upper 25 million figure Hitler, Mao and Stalin, all atheists, were responsible for the deaths of 188 million.
Someone said you can find whatever you want in the Bible. Perhaps what is most important is what the believers find.
By ‘the Bible’ I presume the priest means the Old Testament. Christians believe that it was superseded by the teachings of Christ, hence the use of the very term ‘Old’ Testament and its abandonment. Christians would not, for instance, take the verses about burning witches or stoning adulterers literally. In contrast, the Qur’an is considered by Muslims to be the literal word of God, timeless and unchanging and not to be modified. Islamists are thus able to act according to it, or at least to their interpretation of it. As someone else pointed out, the Old Testament can be viewed as a quasi-historical document. The Qur’an most decidedly is not that, being more a hybrid of spiritual and religious topics along with political and social theory in line with 7th Century Arabia.
For a long time Christians did take the burning f witches seriously. Thankfully not so much now.
Witch burning is still endemic in most of Africa.

Headlining midday on Classic FM news (which is Sky news, so avoiding BBC rehash) was the notion that we should not judge Islamic volunteers harshly, as they are just ‘British’ volunteers fighting for freedom (aeh?) It went on to say 1500 are now estimated to have joined the official BBC bandwagon in murdering their way to Baghdad. So much for Cameron’s estimate only a few days ago of 450. It is hard to equate the Christian Crusades of England with this motley crew of cannon fodder (following BBC instructions to a treasure hunt and supporting their cause) it will end badly as America will have to intervene and stop it whilst the UK (under BBC and Cameron) will claim some sort of British protection for these Islamic idiots caught in the fire. Nobody wins this. Britain’s wobbly authority shrinks to the size of a Pakistan as an unstable ally. I may disagree with America strategy but I prefer English and American freedoms to Islamic fundamentalism and BBC/EU political corruption promoting it as a ‘religion’ on par with Christianity as some sort of UN equal rights issue. Its bloody obvious we should REVOKE their passports should they ever return to the UK claiming British protection..

What really bugs me is the politicians who created this problem won’t be touched by it. It will be poor Mr or Mrs Joe Public Mug who gets blown up on a tube and then the BBC will just pass the buck on who is responsible as always
The Left are not unsympathetic to this type of thing. Think of the many hundreds who joined the International Brigades as mercenaries during the Spanish Civil war. Or if that seems a bit partisan, some Brits went to fight in Rhodesia to support “kith and kin”. There are some parallels between those two events and what is happening in Syria. But there are crucial differences, too. Specifically, many of those “Brits” fighting in Syria are not British in any meaningful sense, being foreign born and unassimilated or unintegrated with the culture of their adopted country. Secondly, it is probably only a matter of time before some of them direct their energies towards Britain. With a lack of will by the government to deal with the problem and constantly goaded on by the BBC, it is a potential time bomb.
I notice that many left-wing councils have put up memorials to those who fought for the Stalinists in Spain. How long before there are memorials to those who fought for the Islamists? The BBC will no doubt broadcast programmes about how great life was under the Muslim Caliphate in Spain. Maybe their should be memorials to those who fought against the Christians. Hey Ho. Western culture has to go.
It is definitely on the way out when it never needed to be. I should just about survive it and when I am older and losing my marbles (assuming the evil alcohol I drink, junk I eat and lazy lifestyle haven’t killed me first) I won’t care either way
