Anti-Israeli derangement at the BBC

BBC foreign correspondent Matthew Price:

Just a couple of snippets from the article that Price finds so “interesting”:

It is time to call a spade a spade: Israel, as a colony, is a constant source of violence and conflict. It is not an ex-colony, nor is it an accepted part of the world for many. It is a territory in the Middle East under Western occupation, which possesses no political legitimacy now, nor can it ever acquire such legitimacy in the future because it has no raison d’être and cannot create one…

What I propose here is that the flow of millions of Zionists to Palestine be reversed. That the Zionists who emigrated to Israel should be offered a peaceful and generously compensated return to where they came from or the choice of any other destination. And that the descendants of emigrants who were born in Israel be invited to return to the countries of their parents/grandparents, or to go somewhere else as they choose.

Just wow. And if this is what BBC journalists are happy to promote on social media, imagine what they’re saying to each other off line.

The BBC, as a parasite, cannot continue to exist

    • richard D says:

And the BBC response to any similar ‘re-patriation’ projects from the UK to anywhere else would be….. ?

I think I should just invoke Godwin’s Law now, and save them the trouble. Jeez – talk about double standards ?

      • phil says:

Yes. I don’t think we’ll see any ‘here’s an interesting article’ tweets from BBC staff linking to articles suggesting that all black people, Asian and eastern European people people in the UK should go back to where there parents or grandparents came from so racial tension in our country is decreased.

Mr Price obviously thinks this disgusting article is worthy of our consideration. Perhaps he should tweet why he feels this is the case.

  2. dave s says:

In fact Price finds it “interesting’. As it is . It reveals a strand of thinking that I suspect is all too common. Not sure that it makes Price biased though so give him a pass on this one.
However expect more of this thinking as it permeates into our liberal elite’s world view.
It is an example of liberal fantasy thinking. It is not going to happen. So discussing it is a waste of time.
In the world he who holds the land and will fight for that land has title to it.

    • hippiepooter says:

No it’s not going to happen. If Israel falls it will be because the Arabs have made it a mass Jewish graveyard to finish off the work Hitler started with the complicity of the Nazi Left and the public they have brainwashed with their poison.

  3. Chop says:

Lets test this on Matthew Price:

“What I propose here is that the flow of millions of Muslims to The UK be reversed. That the Muslims who emigrated to England should be offered a peaceful and generously compensated return to where they came from or the choice of any other destination. And that the descendants of emigrants who were born in England be invited to return to the countries of their parents/grandparents, or to go somewhere else as they choose.”

This is EXACTLY what the BNP offered in their manifesto, and were branded as evil, racist Nazis by the BBC (True, as it happens)

    • Mark says:

Matthew could start a campaign to re-unite Cyprus next.
Israel was granted nation status at the UN in 1948.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus – itself the result of an illegal occupation – is recognised only by Turkey and no other country.

    • DP111 says:

I was just about to post along the same lines you have.

The problem is not Jews or even Arabs. The problem is with Islam, and this has been the case for all cultures that have been unfortunate to be in contact with Islam.

So it is Islam that should be sent back to where it came from.

      • Chop says:

Every other culture finds it acceptable to integrate within the society of the host nation…not the followers of Islam.

If anyone has Twitter, feel free to cut and paste my re-working of what Mr Price found “Interesting” and put it to him, and let me know the results…I’d find THAT “Interesting” 🙂

    • DP111 says:

A Christian man in Syria recently had his head brutally hacked off by Islamic militants after being forced to deny his faith and salute Mohammed as “the messenger of God”.

It is a sad fact that Muslim presence anywhere leads to discomfort of other already established communities. Soon the established community will leave, or forced out by Jihad mob violence, and yet another region becomes dar ul islam. This is what we see in many cities in the UK and Europe.

To prevent a civil war that is almost certain in the near future, it is better for all, particularly Muslims, that they go back to Islamic lands. They will then be free to practice their faith without hindrance. In exchange we take Christian populations of the ME.

Exchange of populations have occurred in the near past. Better this then a civil war in Europe.

      • DP111 says:

I should have added a warning, that beheading of the Infidel would be coming soon to Britain.

        Too late.

        • Vinny says:

Surely the solution must be to lift people out of believing any religious nonsense of whatever stripe.

          • Guest Who says:

That could indeed be ‘a’ solution, but several thousand years of embedded dogma still retained by a vocal and often forceful collection of believers from many quarters may see that popped in the ‘ideal but possibly not practical’ file?
Hence focussing on those whose belief sets stray beyond the loving fellow man, touchy-feely leading by example, to ‘assimilate or die’ touchy-killy nihilistic end of things could be a pragmatic policy and/or enforcement triage decision for now?

          • Mark says:

Marat, Robespierre, Stalin, Mao, Hoxha, the Kims and Pol Pot all got rid of religion.

That didn’t make Revolutionary France, the USSR, China, Albania, North Korea and Cambodia into “Lennonist” utopias, though.

      • jpt says:

‘To prevent a civil war that is almost certain in the near future,’

‘Civil war’ – you’re joking – we in the west have been so brainwashed by the racism card that we will happily let our daughters be raped rather than be called ‘racist’.
There will be no civil war, they have won.

        • DP111 says:

I hope you are wrong. I hope that we are in an appeasement phase before the gloves come off.

  4. hippiepooter says:

“And that the descendants of emigrants who were born in Israel be invited to return to the countries of their parents/grandparents, or to go somewhere else as they choose”

What an excellent solution. .. To the problem of massively excess immigration to our country by many immigrants who feel little or no allegiance to Britain as *their country.

When the Jews do Aliyeh, they are returning home.

If a BBC journalist had referred to such an article as the solution to mass immigration to Britain, his feet wouldn’t have touched the ground before being thrown out of the BBC with the word “racism” ringing in his ears.

Price should be hurled out of the BBC with the word ‘anti-semite’ ringing in his ears, but anti-semites rule the roost at the BBC. Only Parliamentary action is going to root the Nazi left out of the BBC.

  5. DB says:

The editor of BBC Arabic was so impressed with Mark Steel’s latest teenage lefty observations that he linked to it twice:

I hope we’re all reassured about BBC impartiality.

    • Guess Who says:

Impressive disclaimer. Balanced between who he works for and how his views and RTs in no way reflect upon them.
Meanwhile Lord Pantone, James Purnell, Danny Cohen, Hugs, etc seem to be spending a lot of time in the media or various inquires saying just how trusted and genetically impartial the BBC is.
      Tell it often enough, chaps.

  6. Span Ows says:

Wow indeed. Unbelievable. As others have noted the sinister and overt “racism” is staggering.

    The great quote:

“Given their poor economic and political development, the local inhabitants of the British mandate territory were unable to prevent the Zionist immigration, although the British could see that this immigration was highly detrimental to the local population’s interests.”

WTF? Read that carefully: God forbid their lot be improved! I’m guessing price feels that as a Jew has written it he has a ‘get out of gaol free card’.

    • johnnythefish says:

There was also a lot of Arab immigration from North Africa at that same time but hey, let’s not get hung up on unnecessary detail here.

  7. stuart says:

at the end of the day, israel with there strengh in dealing with the terrorists have exposed the weakness of the gutless liberal leftist politicians in the west obama, millband and co in dealing with the terrorists who threaten us,hamas and there al qaeda allies have felt the full force of israel and the idf and have sent out a clear message to every damm terrorist in the world mess with us and you will get the crushed like an ant, hamas wil now think twice before attacking israel again because they know what will be coming there way and it wont be roses and flowers and a mug of tea.

  8. dave s says:

WE can expect more of this sort of thing as the liberals have to deal with Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza on Israel’s own terms.
It must be hard for them to deal with.

  9. DB says:

Based on that single Matthew Price tweet alone I reckon I could take a good stab at guessing what his opinions are on just about anything (American politics, the EU, climate change etc). Typical off-the-shelf BBC lefty received opinion.

    • DP111 says:

“lefty received opinion” sums it up perfectly. Leftys are quite unable to think for themselves. That is why they all think the same on so called “Climate Change” , for instance. “Group Think”, or “received opinion”. Thats it.

Sometimes one has to feel pity for these folk, trapped in a mental prison of their own making.

  10. Phil Ford says:

Matthew Price gives the game away. He and his fellow travellers just can’t help it. Their sly, belligerent sneering eventually always gets the better of them and they just have to blurt it out. The article he finds so ‘interesting’ is detestable in every possible sense: practically a re-run of Hitler’s plan to ‘repatriate’ the Jews, except the Nazis robbed them before packing them off to ‘transit camps’, instead of forcing Europe’s taxpayers to hand them each a $500,000 freebie to speed their departure, as envisioned in the hateful Huff Post article he links to.

Can the BBC sink any lower? Is it at all possible?

    • DB says:

If the Jews really did vacate Israel it would become an Islamist gangster shithole overnight.

      • Pounce says:

        DB wrote:
If the Jews really did vacate Israel it would become an Islamist gangster shithole overnight.

You mean like Gaza, East London and Brent.

  11. lojolondon says:

Wow – very interesting. I wonder if the BBC would advocate, and maybe fund the return of all white South Africans to their respective countries, mainly UK and The Netherlands.

Naturally, they would also have to repatriate all the black South Africans from the UK to Africa. Ah, no, but that would be ‘racist’.

    • Mark says:

If we were to follow Matthew Price’s faulty logic on a global scale, then there would be no people of European stock in the Americas, Asia, Africa or Australasia.

      • Richard Pinder says:

Yes, but everyone alive evolved from Africans 200,000 years ago, so this would justify the colonisation of Africa by Europeans returning to their homeland in Africa.

        • Richard Pinder says:

But Matthew Price is much more primitive than that, so he should return to the sea where he belongs.

  12. Pounce says:

Working even further back , All Arabs would have to return to the Arab peninsula , Which would also return “Palestine” to the Jews who lived there before Mohammed was even born.

  13. DB says:

The presenter of BBC’s Any Questions, folks:

Never mind that Hamas has cancelled all elections since 2006 and runs Gaza with brutal violence. Chattering class useful idiot.

    • Guess Who says:

      “My views are mine”
      BBC in the clear.
      Or fact?

    • Roland Deschain says:

Sometimes it’s a real struggle not to invoke Godwin’s Law.

    • Mark says:

Hamas was elected. Than, so was Adolf Hitler.

    • hippiepooter says:

Dimbleby is an anti-semitic monster. Just like Bowen and Snow. You couldn’t imagine him having entered Belsen and being morally outraged like his father was. He would have found excuses for it. … ‘A fact: Hitler was elected’. … Still, it’s good to see that they’re so hurt by their Nazi stormtroopers being laid low that they’re letting their anti-Semitism even more out of the bag. Fact: Netanyahu was elected .. and will face election again. Fact: 84% of the Israeli public are all for taking it to Hamas and stop their murderous rocket launches once and for all. What is being defeated in Gaza is the purest form of evil, and boy does it hurt the likes of Dimbleby to see it. We should do the same as evil, recognise naked evil when we see it and drive scum like Dimbleby out of the BBC.

      • hippiepooter says:

DV, we want an edit button! ‘We should do the same as Israel, recognise naked evil when we see it and drive scum like Dimbleby out of the BBC.’

Brown shirts black shirts red shirts , the dirty muds of extreme socialism at work.

Imagine if a politician in Britain suggested sending our waves of new britons home.

Remember the last Socialist (National) that suggested deporting Jews.

    Utterly horrific.

The vast bulk of Palestine still exists today. The Israeli state only occupies a small percentage of the original palestine.
Search google and you will see most of Palestine was to the east of the Jordan what is on the west is split into israel the West Bank and Gaza.

Plenty of homeland space for Palestinians.

If we send the Jews away from israel what do we do about Kosovo. One hundred years ago vast majority orthodox christian ,now less than 10%. Are we going to kick the muslims out?

What do we do in Australia? What do we do in the US and Canada?

How far back do we have to go?

    totally mental.

The majority of the israeli population were born there. Under most international laws this would make them full citizens of the country.

How are you going to prove who is an israeli who is an arab. DNA test them?

When it comes to extremist solutions whether eugenics, forced population control, deportation, ethnic discrimination in the workplace( known as positive discrimination), enforced poverty (environmentalism), when it comes to 1930s rehashed policies the left takes the biscuit.

    • DP111 says:

      the left takes the biscuit.

Generally out of the mouths of the poor. Witness Russia, China, Cambodia …

    • Alan Larocka says:

Galloway has also called for Jews to be excluded from Bradford.

  15. Colbert says:

I also found the article interesting. What could this mean?

    I’m an adult maybe?

  16. Albaman says:

I have read a lot of “interesting” material that I am not in agreement with.

The general view here seems to be that something can only be “interesting” if you agree with it.

    • Guest Who says:

Thanks to a rather crucial qualifier, I am in complete agreement.
I used to RT things that I agreed with or didn’t, figuring folk would realise what was floating my boat or harshing my mellow.
After a few high profile cases where degrees of endorsement were presumed I went through a period of following up with a ‘why that sucks’, which seemed pretty daft to have to do. So I tend now to reply. This of course can lead to a blocking.
As with bias and a few other jelly-on-wall nailing pursuits, it all rather boils down to who is nudging and winking to which blind horses. Allegedly.
It may be… interesting… to have a Craigian analysis of what the vast majority of BBC staff do find… interesting… that appalls them, yet leave commentary restrained with just that one word, and which ones mount campaigns and mobilise the masses with their shared outrage write articles that are newsworthy enough for A. Newsroom Tealady to see fit to run.
It seems to depend on the ability to get enough tongue in the cheek to carry it off.

    • johnnythefish says:

So you agree that the BBC should give prominence through one of its correspondents to a man who calls Israel a ‘colony’ and calls for the state to be ethnically cleansed through some twisted form of repatriation?

      • Albaman says:

All he said was that he found the article “interesting”. Your own bias leads to your conclusion.
I find your comments “interesting”. That does not mean I agree with your views
Not really that difficult to understand is it?

        • hippiepooter says:

I think Albaman that if we address a BBC reporter disseminating a piece that gives succour to the genocidal terrorism of Hamas with how its ‘coverage’ of the Gaza conflict plays the propaganda game of Hamas, we get to have a clear understanding of what “interesting” means in this context.

I think one might discern from the propagandistic tone of this ‘report’ by Matthew Price some years ago, exactly where his sympathies lie and exactly why he found the piece about forcibly evicting the Jews from their Homeland again – ahem – ‘interesting’.

        • Colbert says:

Clearly too difficult a concept for some.

          • Guest Who says:

‘Clearly too difficult a concept for some.”
As is straying beyond vague, substance-free one liners for others.

        • johnnythefish says:

Oh dear. ‘Interesting’ means what, exactly? Can you imagine, given BBC correspondents’ habit of giving us their personal opinions on Twitter, a similar non-judgemental comment being made had the article been about repatriating the ‘Palestinians’ to Arabia?

          I don’t think so.

He is fuelling anti-Jewish hatred along with the rest of his colleagues.

    • Simon says:

the double standards of the left are here for all to see with Albaman’s post

“I have read a lot of “interesting” material that I am not in agreement with.”

Remember how the left try to shut down free speech if it is something they don’t agree with so typical hypocrisy

  17. John Bosworth says:

There’s a wonderful little double dealing from the bottom of the pack going on in the HufPo article you cited. The author is described as a “Dutch-Jewish WW2 survivor”. Upon research I discover he was born in 1942. So he was three when the war ended. The Huff-Po editor “does not consider the latter relevant to his view on this topic, but” Huff-Po adds “we found it pertinent to include.” Pertinent? Really? Why does a Dutch-Jewish academic, born in Haarlem 1942 and now specializing in drug research have a more important voice than say a British-Jewish business man born in London during the Blitz and currently retired in, say, Barcelona? I suspect Huff-Po wished to give the impression to a casual reader that he was a “holocaust” survivor.

On a general point, I think the reason why Israelis and Netanyahu in particular are so unpopular with the media is that they refuse to be victims – and you know how Elite Lefties LOVE victims.

OT, but the ways of media can be a mystery all appear to embrace.
Just had my evening Ch4 ‘Snowjobmail, again from MiniJon Krishan, ensuring that while many have moved on, they are in it for the long haul.
‘Exclusive on Gaza shooting controversy at 7pm

We’re live in Jerusalem tonight as major developments in two Middle East crises dominate our attention.
Our reporter Inigo Gilmore has an exclusive story about the actions of some Israeli forces during the military action of the last month. Can’t say more just yet, but I am here in Jerusalem to gather reaction.

I guess we’ll (well, I won’t, what with the unplugged ariel & all) find out in 30 minutes, but something does confuse.
If this is an exclusive story, about which nothing can be said, how can any reaction be now getting gathered.
Surely they’re not going to pre-vet a collection of safe local activists, spring on them a Gaza:CSI by Jerry Hamasheimer, and then demand live on air… ‘what about them apples’?
Still doubtless CH4, the BBC and many others will be reviewing the actions of some of the non-existent forces from the Gazan side that seemed to create such carnage out of thin air.
    You know, for balance?

  22. johnnythefish says:

‘It is time to call a spade a spade: Israel, as a colony, is a constant source of violence and conflict’.

    Got it.
