START THE WEEK OPEN THREAD

Well then, one can argue as to whether Kim Kardashian’s posterior “broke the internet” but last week saw our server “break” and cause a lot of hassle. My thanks to Rob and Geoff for fixing things but as you can see some posts vanished along with the comment threads which is VERY annoying. Anyway, let’s hope for a pain free week. And whilst I am at it, I had asked you all if anyone fancied putting up some posts here to ease the strain on Rob and myself. If you would like to talk about this  then please email me.  The floor is yours….

Received reply about biased audience inhibiting and swaying politicians answers:

    BBC reply:
Thank you for contacting us regarding ‘The Battle for Rochester and Strood: a BBC South East Special ’, broadcast on 10 November.

I understand, as a licence fee payer, you were concerned by the audience make-up of this programme as you felt it displayed left wing bias.

None of the members of our audience are pre-selected. We never, ever do that. Absolutely no-one is discouraged from applying to be part of our audience. The particular members of the audience referred to applied in the normal way and made points in exactly the same way as other members of our audience.

    REPLY:

BBC DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION WHY BBC SELECTED BIASED AUDIENCE FROM THOSE APPLYING:

    MY FURTHER REPLY:

You did not state the reasons you did not select a representative audience of the electorate likely to vote.

This was after all totally about a specific parliamentary election and should have been fair to the politicians fighting for this parliamentary seat.

You had total control over this as it was a BBC produced programme.

The audience you did select was openly not representative of the electorate constituency and appeared to inhibit and swayed some of the answers of the panel who naturally did not want to come over unpopular. A politician on a husting would never want that?

Why cannot you make it fair, since you have total production control?

Then the wider constituency in the country can also get a more balanced view of the specific election

Don’t know if it is true but someone told me that the lefties organise themselves into blocks around the microphones. So they don’t have to be in a majority to give the impression of being the majority to the TV audience and they can drown out with jeering people saying stuff they do not approve of.
To me this suggests some insider knowledge of microphone placement and seating arrangements and possibly BBC staff collusion.

I wouldn’t know about all that because I stopped watching broadcast TV so I wouldn’t have to pay the BBC any more of my money. Although I occasionally partake of the iplayer.

‘BBC DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION’

      BBC complaints SOP #101.

In seeking to get them to actually address the question their system will also log you as persistent, and in a mindset only they can hold, deem you to be wasting their time.

It would be funny if not so perverse. And every market rate up to Lord Pantone and Rona knows darn well that’s exactly how they all want it.

“From mistaking the Har Nof synagogue where Tuesday’s terror attack took place for a mosque, to deleting references to Palestinian perpetrators, some of the international media continued to report on the events in Israel in a truly eyebrow-raising manner.
On Tuesday. In a reporting gaffe, CNN superimposed their preliminary coverage of the terror attack with the headline: ‘Deadly attack on Jerusalem mosque.
Isn’t it funny how all these mainstream media “gaffes” all go in one direction.
You will never ever see an attack on a mosque labelled as an attack on a synagogue.”
    R Spencer

    http://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/Guardian-deletes-reference-to-Palestinians-CNN-labels-synagogue-mosque-382139

“The website of British newspaper The Guardian ran a story about the attack from Reuters.
The wire dispatch the agency sent included the headline ‘Palestinians kill four in Jerusalem synagogue attack’ and led with the sentence: ”Two Palestinians armed with a meat cleaver and a gun killed four people in a Jerusalem synagogue on Tuesday before being shot dead by police….”
However … The Guardian changed their headline to “Four worshipers killed in attack on Jerusalem synagogue” and in their lead, they also excised any reference to Palestinians, publishing:
“Two men armed with axes, knives and a pistol have killed four Israelis and wounded several others in a Jerusalem synagogue …”

In another questionable slant on its coverage, CBC headline their report on the attack with: “Jerusalem police fatally shoot 2 after apparent synagogue attack.”

    “Apparent” ? …
sounds disturbingly similar to the BBCs
Attack on a Synagogue in Jerusalem, in … WHAT ISRAELI S ARE CALLING a terrorist act? …. from this morning.
R4 is still adding “tensions are still high, over Al Aqsa … Islams third holiest site”
“Third” 😀 holiest, (shakes head), excuse for mass murder then?

‘Isn’t it funny how all these mainstream media “gaffes” all go in one direction”

On the BBC Facebook page I highlighted earlier, they had three wounded. Now things can change as more info comes in, but the BBC often seems keen to play down or go to full watertight oversight on stats it doesn’t feel suits its narrative, but will quote the most bonkers claims of their favourite on the spot gob if it does. With a full picture library to pull in from around the world in support if required (noting when accurate images were offered, the BBC pulled a Kay Burley and didn’t think it was appropriate to use them all of a sudden).

I have popped back to this FaceBook page and not only are some outrageous claims and threats still there, but they are being added to hourly.

Hence the BBC is willingly hosting the most febrile nest of nutters and their dubious opinions imaginable.

Nice to see the BBC on the pulse as ever. They really raising this as an issue today?

And by what measure BBC GMU has bought into is that shirt pattern sexist? I thought the jury was out, yet they have pre-judged, clearly.

This shirt was created by a female chum as a gift, so some from the sisterhood in the ‘wrong’ camp too.

I dug out a ‘Hawaiian’ shirt my wife bought me that I used to wear that was based on a Gauguin painting.

OT I have a cheap T-shirt like that – which I bought on the lovely island of Moorea opposite Tahiti – en route to NZ. Faded and worn now, but one of my favourites, reminds me of a lovely beach campsite and.learning to scuba age 60. The island was in a bad way, virtually all tourism had stoped – it was just after 9/11

BBC still pushing on with the Ferguson story, drawing comparisons with the Civil Rights boycotts. Hence a black boycott of black Friday. As an aside, mention of the fund to restore Natalie’s cake shop in the BBC article should have included the fact that it was destroyed by the looters.

What could be interesting is a continuation of investigations into the rumours which are spreading about Dindo Nuttin – the unarmed teenager – and whether the release of his Juvenile record will have any affect on the continuation of the racist killer white cop narrative espoused by the BBC, SWP, Left Unity and the rent a mob demonstrators here in the UK.
See below a link to an attempt to confirm or deny the rumour that Dindo Nuttin might have been involved in second degree murder.
