Bias…..Who cares? Not the BBC

From the Mail:

No one at the BBC cares when we’re accused of bias, says Evan Davis: Newsnight presenter reveals corporation receives constant complaints without taking any action

No one at the BBC takes account of accusations of bias, according to the presenter of Newsnight.

Evan Davis said the BBC is constantly getting emails from licence fee payers accusing them of pandering to certain political parties.

But he claimed that ‘no one at the BBC takes those kinds of things into account’ because it is ‘very rare’ for the issue to be brought up.

His remarks at the Hay Festival come days after the corporation was accused of Left-wing bias in its Election Debate programme.

Speaking at the festival in Wales, Mr Davis said: ‘All the time we get those emails. And honestly, no one at the BBC takes those kinds of things into account.

‘Maybe people at the very top of the BBC do, I don’t know. Maybe they do. But none of the people who are making programmes do.’

Mr Davis, who replaced Jeremy Paxman as presenter of Newsnight in September 2014, was at the festival to promote his book Post-Truth: Why We Have Reached Peak B******t and What We Can Do About It.’

He is in Hay . You need to pass progressive road blocks to get into the place during the festival. A monocultural progressive audience probably lapped up his drivel.
So it can be discounted completely except it shows that the BBc is contemptuous of any criticism.

You have to feel for those thousands who will have undoubtedly written superb and detailed complaints about bBC bias and sent them off to their “Complaints dept”

Except for 1 thing……………..there isnt any Complaints dept………just ole Harry who still wears one of those brown overalls
you used to see in Are you being served”……..collecting the unopened complaints and trotting off to the nearest incinerator.

And as for Evan…………a face for radio………..

    It’s in their DNA.

Boris Johnson says he sees “no reason” to rescind offer of State visit to President Donald J. Trump over tweet about London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
Donald Trump lashed out at Kahn over his assurances to Londoners following Saturday’s terror attack. He accused the Mayor of offering a “pathetic excuse” for saying there was no reason for people to be alarmed.

I expect Evan knew he was amongst friends, and let the truth slip out. We all knew it was the truth, of course, but still it is nice to have it confirmed from Newsnight’s main presenter. To them, we are scum. They can safely ignore us because their income stream is assured, backed by the threat of prison. That is why the BBC is such a pernicious threat to British democracy.

The first rule of business is listen to what your users are telling you. Telling us that they ignore what any critics tell them is admitting that are not a business they are a public sector sinecure. The justification for this sinecure? That they offer a public service.

A service in which they ignore their customers?

    Scrap it.

‘Why We Have Reached Peak B******t and What We Can Do About It.’

What we can do about it? A simple solution would be not to buy Mr Davis’ book or pay his salary via the licence fee.

Caroline is still tremendous value though, which is why the BBC love her so, despite the ingratitude:
