Here we go, middle of the new week and time for a NEW Open thread on which to detail the bias!

I laughed at this…..

‘I’m afraid it’s one of those irritating pains in the bottom that just when you think you’re rid of it, it pops back up again – we call it a Tony Blair.’

Nelson’s Column…it’s gotta go right?  Nelson supported the continuation of slavery so a statue celebrating his famous, historic and momentous victory over Napoleon’s fleet at Trafalgar must be torn down to satisfy the wishes of a black activist, Afua Hirsch, who is trying to make a name for herself by cheerleading for cheap stunts attacking Britain’s culture and history.

If the basis of her claim is that Nelson supported slavery then why is she not out campaigning against Islam which, as we know from Iraq and Syria, condones the taking of slaves and the using of women as sex slaves and prostitutes amongst the many other unpleasant rules and strictures it places upon its followers?  Not a problem lost in the dusty hsitory of 200 years ago but a current and living crime perpetuated by an ideology that the BBC wants to normalise as just another part of British society.

Why is she not asking for the closure and demoliton of mosques that preach such an ideology?  Seems like the usual double standards that we are so used to from the BBC itself.

Mosques up and down the country have been caught preaching hatred and disseminating angry texts that denounce western lifestyles and political decisions.  The MCB itself preaches against Ahmadi ‘Muslims’ but gets away with it even as Ahmadis are attacked and even killed in Britain.  The same MCB that in 2007 drew up a document for schools to follow that demanded schools adopt Islamic principles [in order that Muslim pupils don’t feel alienated and become angry and radicalised when denied the right to follow thier religion completely and freely]…the document that was a  blue print for the Trojan Horse plot against British secular schools…a plot whose central figure was the same person who drew up that MCB document [which the BBC conveniently ignored as it proved the plot was real].

Recently the BBC has been making a lot of noise about some members [one an immigrant] of the banned Far Right group National Action being arrested…but I haven’t heard  a peep about this story that has just surfaced recently…

Being an ISIS martyr is better than success at school or college, Muslim hate preacher ‘told children’

An imam who encouraged his congregation including children to join Islamic State told them martyrdom was better than school or college, a court heard yesterday.

Kamran Sabir Hussain, 40, was recorded by an undercover police officer delivering 17 sermons in a mosque aimed at recruiting members for IS, the Old Bailey was told.

Those who died ‘fighting for Allah’ had nothing to fear because they would be forgiven, he is claimed to have said. They would be martyrs in paradise hated by no one except ‘unbelievers’ and hypocrites.

‘The kuffar [unbelievers] will attack you and kill you,’ he added. ‘Stand up and be ready to sacrifice, be ready to stand in the face of the elements of shaytan [satan], be ready to spill blood and have your blood spilt.’

An undercover officer known as ‘Qassim’ began attending the mosque in Stoke-on-Trent in June last year and recorded sermons given by Hussain over a period of ‘some weeks’.

How many more mosques allow such preachers to operate in their premises preaching open hatred and violence?  And yet people like Afua Hirsch think that the most important thing in the world is to topple a statue because of what Nelson thought 200 years ago?  How very BBC….a hatred of Britain and its history and a blindspot for the real issues in society today…..’confronting’ Britain’s past using standards of today….except those standards don’t apply equally to an ideology that says you can take slaves as a reward from Allah for spreading his religion.

The BBC has been up to its old tricks of censoring programmes that send out the ‘wrong’ message….and even politicians have started to take note that the BBC is not a force for good, not a force for uniting Britain, not a force for maintaining social cohesion and stability…it is in reality a racist, anti-white, anti-British, pro-terrorism, pro-EU, pro-mass immigration extremist organisation that spreads hate and division….just look how it treated Jacob Rees-Mogg when he revealed his views on abortion and gay marriage……

NORMAN LAMONT: By refusing to air Rule, Britannia! at Proms concerts in Wales and Scotland the BBC undermines its reason to exist

The Last Night Of The Proms is a unique international celebration. It features singers, orchestras and conductors from all over the globe.

Nobody at this multinational festival is remotely offended when it culminates in a mass rendition of the most stirring patriotic music ever written, including Rule, Britannia! and Land Of Hope And Glory.

But in a move as outrageous as it was ridiculous, the BBC failed to broadcast those climactic moments of the Last Night in all regions of the United Kingdom on Saturday.

The performance at the Royal Albert Hall was beamed to Proms In The Park gatherings in Swansea and Glasgow, as well as Hyde Park in London and County Fermanagh’s Castle Coole. All four venues received a live feed of the BBC Concert Orchestra playing Sir Henry Wood’s sea shanties, taken from his Fantasia On British Sea Songs. 

But while the English and Northern Irish audiences were then able to join in the rousing anthems of Rule, Britannia! and Land Of Hope And Glory, that part of the broadcast was mysteriously missing in Scotland and Wales.

I was simply appalled by the decision. It is about far more than music.

The BBC was denying people the opportunity to celebrate their Britishness. In doing so, it is denying our collective identity as a United Kingdom, and promoting separatism.

It is encouraging the cultural disintegration of our country, and fostering the pernicious idea that people in Wales and Scotland have nothing to do with those in England.

The fact cannot be ignored that, in the digital age, it is becoming increasingly difficult to justify the existence of the BBC. There is a greater variety of news and entertainment sources than ever before. People absorb information from a multitude of channels, above all from the web and from social media.

Yet I have been opposed to all calls for the abolition of the licence fee because it seemed to me our national broadcaster was just that — a force for unification, a common cause binding the disparate reaches of our islands into a single whole.

The BBC is not just a symbol of national identity but also the means by which we feel that identity.

Without it, we would have the monarchy and sport in common, but not much else. The BBC is meant to be a national institution.

Millions of people outside Britain interpret our national character through the lens of the BBC. And its schedules affect the way we perceive ourselves, and what it means to be part of the United Kingdom family, wherever we live. This to me is the strongest argument that remains for the continued funding by the licence fee of the BBC. And by its atrocious decision not to broadcast Rule, Britannia! in Wales and Scotland, it undermines its own reason to exist.

I have come to the decision that the simplest thing would be to abolish the Corporation altogether, while maintaining one or two small-scale services such as Radio 4. 

There’s a lot of vanity about the BBC. It still clings to the belief it is the best broadcaster in the world. But that is no longer the case: its news service is inferior to CNN and Al Jazeera, especially on international affairs, and it no longer provides current affairs analysis of the highest quality.

Since the Brexit referendum last year, the bias of the broadcaster has been increasingly obvious. Barely an evening goes by without an interview with some businessman who claims to be anxious about the effect of leaving the EU. 

Yet we never hear the counter-argument — that foreign investment is increasing and that British exports are at the highest level for over 20 years. The bias of BBC editors seems to filter out those facts before they ever reach our screens.

They have a sworn duty under their charter to be impartial, and it’s hard to see how BBC bosses could have been unaware that the Last Night of the Proms has become politically sensitive.

There is nothing xenophobic about a boisterous crowd singing Rule, Britannia! — just as there is nothing aggressive about a rousing chorus of La Marseillaise from French supporters at Twickenham before a rugby match… a far more blood-curdling set of verses.

The BBC has chosen to shoehorn its divisive political attitudes into an occasion where it has no place. In doing so, it stands accused of encouraging the break-up of the United Kingdom and denying our national identity. That, I believe, is unforgivable.

The BBC always presents the EU’s position on Brexit as reasonable and measured…the EU wants to get on and negotiate a deal that is sensible and beneficial to all….and yet we all know, can see from the Eurocrats’ own words, that that is far, far from the truth.

Last week the BBC sensationalised a ‘leaked’ Home Office report from the time when May was in charge there [under Cameron as PM] that apparently said security would be at risk if we left the EU.  The BBC told us that this report was hidden because Cameron and co realised it would be seen as part of ‘project fear’ and dismissed as rubbish.  But that just wasn’t true….the Remain campaign made endless alarmist claims about terrorism and crime rising if we left the EU…and no mention of this alleged report…why would they not mention it if there was one?  They had no problem with anything being seen as part of ‘project fear’…Cameron claiming World War III would break on if we Brexited.  Was there really such a report or is it just more spin and lies from the Remain camp trying to undermine Brexit and May?  Even if there was such a report would it be any more believable than the Treasury reports [drawn up under Osborne’s careful guidance…but presented as ‘independent’ by the BBC] which claimed economic apocalypse after the referendum but we now know were complete rubbish?

Oddly, whilst having a great deal of interest in an historical story of little interest, the BBC shows absolutely no interest in another leak that does have a huge impact and relevance…from the Telegraph…

Leaked memo from City’s Brexit envoy reveals ‘sobering’ analysis of EU stance

Brussels shows no interest in finding “long-term solutions” to Brexit and could ignore the interests of European Union business, a leaked memo to financial leaders has warned. 

There is just a “one per cent” chance of the EU agreeing to start discussing a trade deal in October as the UK wants, according to a source quoted in the note.

There is also no appetite for creating a “bespoke” transition deal that will allow Britain to retain the benefits of EU membership for years after formally leaving, it is warned. 

The “sobering” analysis is contained in a 1,200 word memo from Jeremy Browne, the special representative for the City of London to the EU, which has been leaked to this newspaper. 

So the EU has no intent of seeking a sensible economic agreement and does not want a transition period that gives the UK similar benefits as it has now….and yet the BBC continues to peddle the Remainders’ fantasy of an EU open to negotiation even on its most hardline policies such as open borders, and still promotes the idea of a ‘transition period’, usually suggesting the very unrealistic 5 years or so…this of course is the Remainders’ last hope…staying in the EU by the back door and then rejoining fully after an election in which they hope to get a government more conducive to their demands.

Why would the pro-EU BBC not want to headline with a leak about such a negative analysis of the EU position?

The Remainders are out in force still spinning for their masters in the EU.  We had Lord O’Neill flogging a book and his views published in the pro-Remain Times telling us that the government is divided and we needed to be more realistic about what we can get from Brexit…the BBC of course gave him a good write up….their opening line being a complete lie…

Lord O’Neill, who left government a year ago, said much of the “rationale for Brexit” had been to deal with that division.

Voters did not vote for Brexit in order to sort out the internal politics of the Tory Party and as for being realistic… if you don’t ask you don’t get and it is in fact the EU that is being unrealistic wanting not a mutually beneficial agreement but a punishment regime for Britain who dared to leave their fascist super-state.

Then we have Blair who has surfaced again ridiculously claiming he is now against uncontrolled immigration, claiming that the EU is open to negotiation on ‘open borders’ when we all know that just isn’t true….it’s an EU red line.

Amusingly the BBC portrays him as a man whose pro-Brexit views are leaving him open to attack…so much so that he has to ‘defend’ himself…

Just ridiculous spin from the BBC presenting Blair as an advocate for immigration control….a man who says Brexit is ‘driven by the Far Right’.

Another lie from the Remainders is that Brexit was all about giving sovereignty back to Parliament….no, it was about bringing sovereignty and democracy back to Britain not Parliament in particular.  The Remainders say Parliament must decide on what the shape of Brexit will be…but we all know that Parliament, and the House of Lords, is mostly pro-Remain and that they will do their utmost to neutralise Brexit and keep us in the EU in all but name and thus thwart and sabotage Brexit and the Will of the People.  Hardly democracy….and yet you can hear the BBC, in the shape of Jonathan Dimbleby, supporting that lie.

The Remainders tell us that Brexit will destroy the economy….and then in the same breath tells us that we need the open borders in order to import the millions of workers our booming economy will need.  In the early 2000’s we were in the black, in surplus with no deficit, and no mass immigration.  Do we need open borders for a successful economy or do we need to work smarter ans more efficiently?  The BBC and Labour relentlessly attacked the goevrnemtn for the poor productivity figures that our industry produce….and yet it is their open borders extremism that imports millions of cheap labourers that keep wages low and stops productivity rising as businesses feel no need to invest iin research and evelopment to cut costs and the need for massive numbers of low skilled employees.  Just read any farming magazine and you’ll see article after article telling you how robotics, automation and computer control is the way ahead and yet the BBC still brings on people who insist they will be ruined by Brexit as they won’t be able to get the workers.

On a similar note to the hysteria about Paul Hollywood dressed as a German soldier we have Jacob Rees-Mogg outed as a fascist anti-abortionist and homophobe who is anti gay marriage….because he is a Catholic.

Curiously I haven’t heard the BBC mention the Pope once in any discussion…or rather in the outpourings of hate towards Rees-Mogg as in the News Quiz programme in which he was nastily villified and pilloried for his views….views which are mainstream Catholic but that of course wasn’t mentioned by the cowards on the programme who won’t dare say the same things about the Pope.….or indeed about Muslims….even if some kill in the name of their religion as directed by the Koran itself.

Naturally the BBC also used the same tactics to try and paint the DUP as ‘backward and unpleasant’ due to their similar religious views…that was the Muslim Mishal Husain who stated that….no doubt she thinks her own 1400 year old religion is enlightened and liberal rather than anti-semitic, homophobic, misogynistic, ‘racist’ and divisive ideology many would say it is…intent on conquest and colonisation not peace and a liberal society.

Why has a photo of Paul Hollywood in a Nazi costume ‘just’ been discovered as Bake Off starts on c4?  Cue the faux outrage….why not the same outrage over the actual BBC programme Allo Allo which made Nazis cuddly and amusing?

Why no such outrage over a real threat to our way of life…such as a man who could be prime minister who not only supports terrorism against the British State but supports international communism and the raising of the Red Flag in Britain?  Traitor?  Think so.

Those who like to keep the Red Flag flying are the same people who killed millions upon millions to do so.  Communism only works at the point of a gun..and even then it doesn’t work.

The BBC is very concerned about Trump and Russia allegedly in cahoots but shows absolutely no concern that the leader of HM’s Opposition is collaborating with those who would smash democracy in this country.  The BBC in fact not only remains uncritical but actually helps to smother criticism of Corbyn and to promote his agenda.

There was no sensational headlines about stunning u-turns as it did with May, no personalising his campaign as they did with May ridiculing her ‘strong and stable’ soundbite relentlessly and mocking her by calling her robotic, no mention that he robbed his own campaign’s rousing rallying call, ‘For the many not the few’, from previous Labour campaigns and indeed the LibDems who used it in 2010.

Corbyn did massive u-turns on principles he had held for decades…on terrorism, on the EU and more up to date on tutition fees.  Suddenly he is against terrorists after supporting those who prefer to use bombs and bullets  rather than the ballot box for decades, suddenly he suppports shoot to kill, suddenly he is very nuanced on the EU afterhaving been an ardent critic of it…and of course he promised to ‘deal with’ student debts and then after the election suddenly we hear Labour how realise how much this would cost and it’s all off.

What do we hear from the BBC?  That Corbyn is ‘a man who is recognised as someone who doesn’t change his opinion’…unless of course there are votes in doing so…and then changes his opinion back to what it was before the election.

We had Peter Oborne on to tell us that ‘Corbyn is completely authentic with very strong beliefs and we know what he thinks and he says it….he has a decent set of values and beliefs.’  Naturally that went completely unchallenged…in fact he presenter agreed with the claim depsite massive evidence to the contrary…Corbyn is a complete charlatan who dumps his principles and lies as well as the next politician when he feels it will win him votes…never mind his almost criminal attempt to trick the public with his ‘no seats on a train’ stunt that was a blatant lie.

The BBC…supporting a man whose ideology killed millions and drove millions upon millions more into poverty, misery and starvation.
