The role of Enoch Powell in Radio’s Four’s upcoming reading of the ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech will be by Ian McDiarmid – best known as the Emperor from ‘Star Wars.’ No bias there, then.
Cooper – because the BBC are broadcasting this we all know it will be a “hit job” on Powell. But I cant help wondering if it may well blow up in their faces as I think it may be difficult to hide the self evident truths that the speech alludes to.
I suspect in all likelihood it will be nothing more than a sophisticated “white shaming” exercise which even the most unsophisticated audience will be able to see through.
The self evident truths in Powells speech are self evident because they are er…… true. So good luck with that Aunty I look forward with interest to see how you get on trying to convince everyone that the earth is flat, Elvis still lives on Mars and of course it was the Russians wot did it!
I listened to Dan Hodges, on the Jezza Swine Show today trying to make the case that the speech shouldn’t be broadcast; as it is just far too dangerous for the plebs to be allowed to hear it. Tw@t.
In the early 1970s I went to hear Powell speak at the local Miners Institute. It was packed and when he started he was facing a hostile audience of miners v Tory ex-minister. His logic was flawless and by the end they were totally won over. It was the best speech by a politician I’ve ever heard.
In both the Times and Telegraph there are articles by non Muslim Asians claiming that history of the past fifty years has proved EPs Speech was wrong. But the comments from readers hotly contest that view with only perhaps 10% of comments being in support. Whilst it may be true that some religions have settled down well into UK life , it certainly isn’t true of Muslims and as we see the black community has plenty of difficulties. One of the themes running through the comments was that the native British people were never asked if we agreed to have our society changed irrevocably. No matter what politicians do, no matter what the BBC claims , that is a fact that will not go away. When our economic circumstances deteriorate, and at some point they are bound to, tensions will rise and that fact will come into sharp focus.
History takes a long time to play itself out and Enoch Powell’ prediction has every chance of coming true.
Powell’s speech has already come true.
In the UK, in a general sense that the “black” has the whip hand. As seen in the attempts to close down the broadcast. In the event, the BBC powers at play here let it go forward as they believed they could exercise their whip hand by having the last word on the commentary.
[There are many more senses in which this has come true, but I leave those for now.]
But it has come true in a much more real sense in former European colonies. Though not British, much white blood is being spent in South Africa as they seize the assets of white farmers, etc.
Brissles, did you see her on the pledge.
She was, as usual, criticising all things British (pulling statues down, the commonwealth and her other usual hate Britain topics) and nawaz asked her why. She said she continuously slagged off (my words there) Britain because she loved it.
Nawaz then asked her why she gave a glowing report to Winnie Mandela (tyres and all) and if she also loved South Africa.
Somehow this wasn’t answered when someone else interrupted and it was forgotten.
Horrible woman. (her not you)
No EG – I try not to as she doesn’t do my blood pressure any good. She has turned herself into a ‘media star’ by her outbursts – there was even a page long article about her recently, asking why someone who wasn’t born here, yet resides here, and living a comfortable life should continue to berate everything about the UK. I suppose to programme producers she’s TV ‘gold’. I wish someone would ask her , if she hates us so much why doesn’t she sod off back to Norway.
Island – Like the arrogant liberal elite arsholes we know them to be, these smug twats at the BBC assume that us grateful masses will gratefully swallow any predigested progressive vomit they decide to shower us with.
Just as in the brexit referendum – they never learn.
According to the BBC, Powell’s ” Rivers of blood” speech has been proved totally wrong !!!!
According to most rational people, events have proved our national broadcaster consistently ignores and/or perverts reality to accommodate its Left wing anti indigenous British agenda.
General I think you are talking bollocks, dont you know everything has changed these days including logic – To get with the programme, I recommend you start to gen up first on Abbotematics, The new and more accurate way of calculating. Interpretation of reality is an advance module so I suggest baby steps first. Logic however has been completely discredited.
Everyone knows that 2+2=7

Yes, Newsshite was doing the “hit job” you mention on Powell.
Supposedly, Dateless interviewing two nonentities of colour, mouthing the usual anti-Powell platitudes means we have attained some multi-cultural diversity heaven. The real world looks quite different. There was even a reference to the working class support for Powell. This shoes how much the white working class has fallen from grace over 50 years at the BBC. Then they were the “horny-handed sons of toil” and vanguard of the revolution. Their disenchantment at being marginalised for replacement at a later date seems to have got the liberal elite’s back up. There have been a couple of programmes recently where thick white working class boys and girls have been paired off with more aspirational swots of colour or have been sent off to a private school in India because “white working class boys perform better in a diverse environment”. Needless to say the white thickos did not improve their GCSE results inspite of all the cultural enrichment and were doomed to be left-behind losers for the rest of their lives like all of us who voted Brexit.
The BBC even followed up with the Hideous Hag Beard Show.
Hirsch and LBC’s Rectum Ripper in Chief were the prime orifices of enlightenment. Too horrendous to watch.
ID – Aunty and the elite is bored with the white “horny-handed sons of toil” and is in the middle of a “replacement” programme. If we can keep the war going in Syria long enough we should be able to effect a proper replacement (hopefully before 2050).
Listened to it Oaknash…..the usual suspects rounded up to comment…the utter no-mark, race-baiter David Lammy vomited his way through the programme and the worthless, shrill little Matthew Paris was an absolute disgrace….pygmies all compared to Powell…how right he was…how prescient…how superior to the rubbish now in Govt…and then.
Toobi I personally suspect Lord Hall would would favour Antonio Fargas (Huggy Bear of Starsky and Hutch fame) He talks great street jive and as you say would satisfy a major BBC tick box.
He could start the speech with “The word on the street is – all you whiteys is racist and have it coming – The supreme function of statesmanship ………….”
Sexual exploitation at a local council run venue
Maybe send Brissles down to rescue one of these poor boys.
Least there’ll be no grid girls on TV anymore
The Dreamboys are the biggest-selling male strip show in UK history and have appeared on some of the UK's biggest TV shows!
“Just be talking to our coloured friend on the stairs”
Laurence Olivier character on the Talking Pictures channel just now
… Ooh I’m so mortally offended
He should be calling him “person of colour”
Something is puzzling me about the BBC reports of the Syrian gas attack.
Each report is covered with the words ‘alleged’, ‘suspected’, ‘believed to’, and so on.
In the picture note the inverted commas around ‘chemical attack’
It is as if the BBC do not want to be committed to the certainty felt by Treezer and her Cabinet.
Let me speculate.
Perhaps the BBC know that the operation is a false flag and are aware that one day the truth will out and Treezer will have to leave with her knickers down.
The state broadcaster can then distance itself from a discredited government.
“Why risk war with Russia in Syria, when, by our own inaction during this seven-year civil war, we have shown we have no vital interest there? And, surely, we have no interest in Syria so crucial as to justify a war with a nuclear-armed Russia.
Trump allowed his revulsion at the awful pictures of dead children, allegedly gassed, to impel him to threaten military action almost certain to result in more dead children.
Emotions should not be allowed to overrule what the president has thought and expressed many times: While the outcome of Syria’s civil war may mean everything to Assad, and much to Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Israel, it means comparatively little to a USA 5,000 miles away.
We cannot forever fight other peoples’ wars without ending up on the same ash heap of history as the other world powers before us.
And why not talk directly to our adversaries there?
If Trump can talk to Kim Jong Un, who used an anti-aircraft gun to execute his uncle and had his half-brother murdered in a Malaysian airport with a chemical weapon, why cannot we talk to Bashar Assad?”
“As for the political future of Syria, it is not vital to us and not ours to determine. And the efforts of others to have us come fight their wars, while understandable, need to be resisted.
All over this city, and across the Middle East, there are people who wish to conscript U.S. wealth and power to advance their goals and achieve their visions. Having let them succeed so often has diminished us as a superpower from what we were at the end of the Cold War.
The BBC are definitely pushing for war in Syria and regime change. From the BBC output from their website – this can be proven. As I previously mentioned given the very close ties the BBC has with the Syrian Rebels, it would not be surprising to learn that the BBC were working with the Rebels to produce false flag presentations.
I am currently looking at one homepage BBC article – which reads more like a case for war – and it has no fewer than 26 embedded links to external sites – including links that takes us to Syrian Rebel activist websites and youtube clips.
Ps one of the BBC links takes me to the website below – but I don’t have a facebook account so can’t access it. I would be grateful if someone else takes a look at it and reports back:
All those pictures of crying children with white powder over their faces and red “blood” over their faces, which I suspected were fake (artist make-up) – are indeed fake – at least according to the revelation below, where we see the actors freezing and waiting for the director to shout “Action” to begin the staged video shoot:
In the current climate many more people should comprehend and appreciate Powell’s words. So Beeb’s “rigorous journalistic analysis” (i.e. attempted hatchet job) may well just backfire and show them up yet again for the morons they are.
Pug – I take it all back Powell was mistaken after all. Apparently that nationally famous “intellectual” David Lammy will be delivering his own “critique” of Powell in the programme. Sorry everyone how could I have been so wrong!
BBC headline : Jaguar Land Rover to shed 1,000 contract staff
at the bottom it says
“but company insiders were keen to stress that it would continue to invest in its UK plants and recently launched a drive to recruit another 5,000 engineers.(within 1 year)”
(JLR has 40K UK employees) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-43756202
The anti-Brexiteers are shouting in the comments Telegraph reported that 5,000 plan last year
(About 90pc of the cars JLR sells in the UK are powered by diesel….. but surely most production is export)
Is this peak Brave New World? *Oxytocin-enforced norm compliance reduces xenophobic outgroup rejection.*
A recent German scientific study reveals the “underlying sociobiological conditions associated with outgroup-directed altruism by showing that charitable social cues co-occurring with enhanced activity of the oxytocin system reduce the effects of xenophobia by facilitating prosocial behavior toward refugees.”
In a nutshell: if you’re a right-thinking liberal progressive, Oxytocin makes you want to give more cash to refugees. For backward, inbred Brexiteers, Oxytocin alone may not be enough. But! Add heavy peer pressure and group conformity to the mix — you’ll also want to donate more (up to 74% extra). Seriously.
[NB: Oxytocin is a hormone and neuropeptide that plays a key role in sexual arousal, recognition, trust, and mother/infant bonding. It’s sometimes referred to as the ‘love hormone’.]
——————————
—”In the midst of rapid globalization, the peaceful coexistence of cultures requires a deeper understanding of the forces that compel prosocial behavior and thwart xenophobia […] enhanced activity of the oxytocin system paired with charitable social cues can help counter the effects of xenophobia by fostering altruism toward refugees. These findings suggest that the combination of oxytocin and peer-derived altruistic norms reduces outgroup rejection even in the most selfish and xenophobic individuals, and thereby would be expected to increase the ease by which people adapt to rapidly changing social ecosystems.”
Sample question: “Safiye is 24 years old, was born in Aleppo (Syria) and fled to Germany. She is poor and cannot afford to buy fresh fruit and vegetables at the grocery store. Do you donate some money to Safiye?
Your peers donated an average of EUR 0.52.”
——————————
6 of the 7 co-authors of the study are based in Germany. I’d like to know the source of the funding. When the power of traditional indoctrination wanes, is pharmaceutical intervention a possible next step? Oxytocin in the water supply?
Oxytocin is a hormone and neuropeptide that plays a key role in the sexual arousal of paedophiles, recognition of homosexuality, trust in the BBC, and Liberal/Muslim bonding. It’s sometimes referred to as the “hope not hate hormone”. However it does make you hate Jews, Russians, Tories, Ukipers, Brexiteers, Trump supporters, Democracy, Freedom and anyone with more money or more intelligent than yourself.
However it does mean that you are vulnerable to exploitation by rebels fabricating chemical attacks by poisoning the many child prisoners they hold underground using yellow canisters containing chlorine. Causing you to appear altruistic, while at the same time causing you to start a World War.
I think the findings suggest that the combination of oxytocin and political peer-derived altruistic norms increase group loyalty even in the most selfish and independent individuals, and thereby would be expected to increase the ease by which a fascist government can obtain fanatical loyalty and love for the Fuehrer.
\\Cliff Richard: BBC raid report ‘shocking and upsetting’//
“His lawyers say he is seeking “very substantial” damages or compensation for the breach of his rights.” http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43754437
Who pays for the damages? You, Telly Tax payers, that’s who!
Will Sir Cliff release his song “Congratulations”?, I hope so.
“Jaguar Land Rover to shed 1,000 contract staff”
“JLR was expected to announce the cuts on Monday, with Brexit and confusion over diesel cars again being cited as the chief reasons for the changes.” http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-43756202
IMHO it has nothing to do with Brexit. Its the anti-diesel propaganda that caused it .
Take a look at the HYS , have they jumbled the ‘Highest’ and ‘Lowest’ rated ?
“West Park death: Two arrested after girl’s body found”
“Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a girl’s body was found in a park.”

The left winger’s in this country want to give the the vote to ‘boys’.
US and allies launch strikes on Syria chemical weapons sites
“A combined operation with the armed forces of France and the United Kingdom is now underway,” President Trump said in an address to the nation.
Explosions were reported near the Syrian capital Damascus.
I have been listening to many of Putin’s interviews on youtube given the situation in Syria, the very likely attack by Theresa May, Macron and Donald Trump in Syria, and then the possible escalation of events leading to a nuclear exchange.
What Putin has been saying is that when the US unilaterally pulled out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty in 2002 Russia felt that this was a sign of intent by the US to marginalise Russia and blunt Russian’s nuclear threat – which the Russians felt was maintaining the balance of power. With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990 – Russia was left in a parlous state, and he felt the West and the US took advantage of this and began to think of Russia as a spent force. Putin said that Russia looked on as the US and its allies intervened militarily in world affairs: what they saw as invading former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya – and Russia was in no position to stop them. Similarly they have seen the expansion of NATO into former Soviet Union allied countries with anti-ballistic weapon systems being installed in Romania and soon Poland – Putin says that Russia has repeatedly been ignored in their protests. Putin also says that he feels that the change in government in Ukraine was a western inspired coup – but again Russia was in no position militarily to stop it – all they have done is offered support to areas of Ukraine that are ethnically Russian, near the Russian border, and have asked for support or want to break away from this “new Ukraine” to gain their own independent state.
What has changed recently according to Putin is that Russia have now recovered their nuclear threat – he says since 2002 Russia has been working intensely to modernise its now smaller (compared to the Soviet Union) conventional weaponry and to modernise its nuclear arsenal so that it remains a threat after the US and NATO surrounds Russia with its Anti-Ballistic Missile System. He says that Russia now has modernised its nuclear missile system giving it confidence that it won’t be negated by the US-NATO defence system.
He is making noises that he and Russia might be ready to counter what he sees as US – NATO interventionalist policies – beginning now with Syria.
“What Putin has been saying is that when the US unilaterally pulled out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty in 2002 Russia felt that this was a sign of intent by the US to marginalise Russia and blunt Russian’s nuclear threat “
The A135 took over from from A35 in 1995 which itself had been operation from 1971, Now China, India and Israel all have operation ABM missile systems, seeing as they take time to design and build, the US was prudent to do so.
” Putin also says that he feels that the change in government in Ukraine was a western inspired coup – but again Russia was in no position militarily to stop it – all they have done is offered support to areas of Ukraine that are ethnically Russian, near the Russian border, and have asked for support or want to break away from this “new Ukraine” to gain their own independent state.”
I spent a good 2 years actually researching this subject for my officer candidates who would be tested on it via a written exam.
1) The Ukraine and Poland both gained independence from Russia around the same time (1991 and 1989 respectively) At the time their GDP was roughly similar. However Polands rose as it gravitated towards the West and it rose even more after it joined in 2004. The Ukraine#s GDP has remained stagnant . The people of the Ukraine simply wanted what the Poles had , by closer links to the West and the EU. This view was helped by how Russia blackmailed the Ukraine from 2005 till 2015 by cutting off gas to the country in the midst of winter and then increasing the price, which the EU paid.
The Moscow leaning president refused to sign an association agreement with the European Union on 21 November 2013 (President Yanukovych had announced his intention to sign the agreement, but ultimately refused to do so at the last minute) and instead singed a deal with Moscow, there lies the reason why he was kicked out, nothing to do with NATO.
Why? because the Crimea holds all the docks and such for the Russia black sea fleet and with the Russian lease on the naval years (which was set to expire in 2017) increased by 25 years in 2010 with a reduction in the price of gas sold to the Ukraine from Russia, a cut as we saw which meant nothing with Moscow reneging on that deal. However by upsetting the Ukrainians they knew that they could by rights kick out the Russias, leaving them as huge loss in Naval docks and suck, so they took it, blaming everybody else as for the reason why. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/apr/21/ukraine-black-sea-fleet-russia
I don’t have any notes from the time but I seem to remember that the Ukrainian president had a year to run before he would have had to face the polls again but the west couldn’t wait for a democratic solution to sort things out they had to engineer a pro-western solution regardless of democracy. The street protests trying to bring the government down (undemocraticlly) were supported by the EU and USA. It was a situation where on the streets of the capital hordes of unemployed people could be hired to riot or protest for whichever side paid the most, or so I’m informed by an Russian/Ukrainian friend who is no supporter of Putin.
Perhaps my memory is wrong or I’m missing out because I don’t read the Guardian or believe the BBC?
Nope. That was a fair summing up, from my memory, also. Note, of course, that the demonstrations went on peaceably for a long time……. Then violence occurred between the security forces for no apparent reason. Indeed, if memory serves well, there was a recording where the head of security forces telephoned an MP for demonstrators complaining that his men (the security officers) were being fired on from the demonstrators’ side…. No time to look it up now……
My memory is sketchy on all this, but pretty sure I remember Catherine Ashton doing a Mrs Thatcher impression in walking among the fur coats, up on a tank kind of stunts. And John McCain was there too, I think.
So-if the EUs “High Commissioner”(basically an unelected CND stooge with links to Brown etc)-and the seriously useless McCain( an Elmer Fudd version John Kerry, who is quite the worse American politician since Dan Quayle); are in Kiev?
Well no wonder we screwed up so bad.
This is the new updated timetable of events in Douma.
1 April 2018 – A deal had been reportedly reached between the Jaysh al-Islam rebels and the Syrian government in Douma to evacuate the wounded from the city to rebel territory in Idlib province. By this point, Faylaq al-Rahman rebels who were stranded in Douma during the offensive had already been evacuated along with hundreds of civilians.
2 April 2018 – Buses arrived in Douma with about 1,100 rebels and their family members being transported out of the city.
3 April 2018 – About 600 rebels were evacuated from Douma by bus.
4 April 2018 – About 650 rebels were evacuated from Douma by bus.
5 April 2018 – Evacuations are suspended due to disagreement within Jaish-al Islam, hard-liners demanding they stay and fight.
6 April 2018 – The battle recommences, Jaish-al Islam hard-liners start shelling Damascus, Syrian warplanes targeted Douma for the first time in 10 days. The Syrian government immediately launched an air and ground offensive on the town.
7 April 2018 – Syrian forces are infiltrating Jaysh Al-Islam’s primary line of defence reaching Douma’s southern outskirts. A chemical attack on Douma is reported. Reports are that the chemical attack was delivered by helicopters dropping canisters, which where dropped on the surface but strangely caused most casualties underground. Now the reports are that the Chemical Attack was fabricated just like the previous Chemical Attacks. It looks like the White Helmets fabricated the chemical operation by using wounded children in the Hospital and actors. The French have evidence that yellow canisters were used. The canisters do not look as if they could have survived being dropped from a helicopter, so reports indicated that the hardline rebels facing loss of control poisoned the many children of the prisoners they held underground using yellow canisters containing chlorine, but the latest is that even these children may not have been effected other than by smoke inhalation.
8 April 2018 – Jaish-al Islam hard-liners lose control and the ceasefire is restored.
9 April 2018 – Civilians storm rebel warehouses that were packed with food, while the rebels burned their tanks, heavy weapons and other military vehicles.
10 April 2018 – About 2,000 rebels leave Douma by bus.
11 April 2018 – About 4,000 rebels leave Douma by bus.
12 April 2018 – The last of the rebels and probably as the paranoia indicates, British and Americans, left Douma and the Syrian Army took full control of the city.
14 April 2018 – The RAF bombs Syria just before the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is due to visit Douma. Alarm bells go off, James Le Mesurier who founded the White Helmets is known to be an MI6 agent. His MI6 colleague Hamish de Bretton-Gordon has quoted his opinions in the media about the Skripal case and on chemical weapon threats from Salisbury to Syria. So the MI6 agents reported to be in Douma were probably the White Helmets.
Theresa May has gone on record saying there was no alternative but for her to send the order for British Jets to bomb Damascus. In my view she has lost the next general election. As long as Jeremy Corbyn doesn’t shoot himself in the foot, labour are now more likely to win an outright majority at the next election.
In the US, the likes of Jon, Katty, etc, seem more excited about inconsistencies in strategic ambition between POTUS and Mattis.
Odd, since they got what they were agitating for earlier.
Meanwhile here, their colleagues are more definite on what the sites are…were… but interestingly only in the big bits at the top. If one reads on, the bbc’s favourite security weasel, ‘alleged’, does get tucked away just in case.
That may be so but their citizens and the human body are unable to resist a thermonuclear strike.
This rush to action is simply the usual suspects flexing their political and military muscles by dropping a whole load of bombs in and around areas of population.
Intervention in Afghanistan led to the Taliban and al-Qaeda. Intervention in Iraq led to the collapse of Iraq and the creation of ISIS. Regime change in Libya led to the biblical level mass migration of predominantly Muslim peoples into Europe. Intervention in Syria over the past seven years has led to hundreds of thousands of dead in Syria and further mass migration into Europe.
This is not careful, sustained, stern diplomacy it is bombing the shite out of people diplomacy – my dick is bigger than yours diplomacy.
So if they hit a chemical plant won’t that release dangerous stuff?
hope its just a token attack, and we are not going to be the air force for islamic state, like we were for the Kosova liberation army .
I do not know what makes three countries think they are the moral police of the world, (with the UK being the community support officer) just let them decimate each other or they will just end up doing it on our streets, it seems to be their nature there is one good reason they have despots in charge : they need to be to control them.
With enough of them loose in the more liberal West with their natural intolerance, hate and tribalism we are most certainly doomed
Well, we did it. We showed them all how fabulously moral and superior we are. That other people’s business is our business. Sovereignty? Forget it. Might is right. We can expect -at some stage- for our sovereignty to be ignored, when someone else decides they have more might. When someone else decides that our business is their business. When someone else has an ideology more fabulously moral than ours (in their eyes). Can we expect there to be no retribution at some stage?
And stuff the parliament. It reflects the will of the little people. That, May may have learned -in part- from Merkel. This stupid little thing called democracy. When you’re as mighty as Treezer, you just ignore it. (Also like Merkel, who also couldn’t get her own party elected on its own, but continues entirely to ‘do her own thing’ and ignore her own people) If the voters moan, you just import more compliant ones. Tony taught us that.
The irony of the US, UK and France taking the moral high ground is that all three support and promote huge arms industries selling an assortment of advanced and not so advanced weapons and munitions around the world to various dictators and regimes that use those arms to brutally suppress their people or to engage in cross border warfare e.g. Saudi Arabia in Yemen.
I think the danger is – is that we are looking at this whole thing through the prism of conventional party politics not from a globalist standpoint.
Both political parties gave up trying to represent “us the people” a long time ago.
If Theresa wins the next General election it is unlikely that any sort of effective brexit will happen and the immigration back doors will still be left wide open
If Corbyn wins -Brexit will still not be happening and the front doors will also be flung open as well to any “refugee” who wants to move here.
Why did the Tories work so hard (and incidentally breaking election spending rules ) to prevent Farage being elected.? Look at how Tommy Robinson has been treated for just telling the truth.
I am afraid democracy and hundreds of years of civilisation is in mortal danger – threatened by the whims of the cynical few, the morally weak and the politically naive.
So you see the elite have changed the rules but have just “forgotten” to tell us and in the best traditions of Orwell – what better reason is there to curtail democracy by having a state of constant warfare and the deliberate importation of thousands of dedicated terrorists who have no respect for the society that will clothe, shelter and feed them?
I often finish my posts by saying that the loonies are now running the asylum – But in truth it is certainly not madness – Anything but.
Well the bBc did push out a story yesterday about how a gay diver younger than Owen Jones feels that there is too much homophobia in sport. So give it time, in other news have they reported how a 20 something chick with a dick ( Cakls himself wolf) who attacked a 61 year old real woman in London walked free from court.
BeebBro, without a trace of irony or pointing out the obvious failures, the BBC DID mention yesterday on R4 that female jokeys, oops, sorry, jockeys have been competing in the GN since the mid-1980s.
Yesterday I posted a comment. I think the Hornblower Epitaph is more apt today than I could imagine.
“The beeb’s rush to war reminds me of an episode of Hornblower.
There are striking parallels with how the elites think and who we support.
The episode covers supporting a French loyalist army invading to take back France from Napoleon. Only the loyalists turn out to be bloodthirsty thugs who, once they take over, start butchering any opposition using the Guillotine. A lot of people get killed for no reason and the population did not support them.
If we start a shooting war without strong evidence I think the last few lines of that episode will be our Epitaph. Hornblower to his captain: ” What were we doing there sir? We brought nothing but death, destruction and defeat.””
I have yet to see a reason why Assad would use chemical weapons on his own people. Given the intense scrutiny he is under and the warnings he’s had it just doesn’t make sense. I am open to being convinced as always.
He could just be a homicidal maniac with a suicide wish I suppose. But someone show me the evidence.
If Macron May and Trump have the evidence they claim then why don’t they share it with us? I have read over the past few years that Assad derives a lot of his support from various minorities resident in Syria who will be under grave threat once his regime is toppled. Who is going to protect them from the Islamists then? Will it be the great virtue signaller/ Islam appeaser Theresa May? Don’t hold your breath.
I wonder if Putin decides to let fly missiles at the west? I think it would be more in his nature to unleash WW3, given a chance.
And the West has just given him the chance.
I hope the UK is still in existence long enough to throw May and the sickly Tories out of office.
Yasser
I can’t see what advantage Hitler got gassing his own people. Surely the Great Leader knew it would damage his legacy. The only conclusion I can reach is the whole thing was made up by Churchill to discredit Nazism.
Cui bonoism – the ultimate consequence of the addle-headed watching RT in a prone Mohammadan position while being pleasured a tergo by a bare-chested Putin sexbot.
Yasser
I have never met the alleged “David Irving” and so have no empirical copper-bottomed evidence/proof that he really exists.
My best guess is that he is a false flag thingy – an advanced 3D hologram creared by a cabal of Jewish scientists cloned from Einstein’s brain. After all – cui bono, QED, abracadabra – it must be the Jews.
Unfortunately it is the brain-dead BBC watching cretins like you we need to worry about. It doesn’t seem to concern you morons that we are now on the verge of a third world war that was totally avoidable.
Godwin’s Law in action.
From Wiki:
“Godwin’s law (or Godwin’s rule of Hitler analogies) is an Internet adage that asserts that “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Adolf Hitler or his deeds.”
Al
Yes indeed! I was wrong to construct a counterexample to cui bonoism on a historical fiction. We all know that Hitler never really existed and our history has been gradually rewritten to create him. We Hitler deniers have a hard time on the media and hardly ever get a hearing. But then why does the west refer to the “Second World War” and the Russians the “Great Patriotic War”. There is an inconsistency of terminology. What is being hidden here? All these people claiming WW3 is about to break out! Fake news! If any world war is about to break out it must be the SECOND!!! Simples Igor.
Al
No just another break from RT Zombies and Putin worshippers on the biasedbbc loony farm. There’s lots to criticise about the BBC, but a site that is under the Svengali-like influence of RT and full of Putin zhopolizi can’t be taken seriously.
Al
Advice from RT stooges, fake flaggers and other “tin foil hatters” can be safely ignored. Seems to be a Pavlovian response on biasedbbc. Lavrov spouts some nonsense in Moscow, RT parrot it, and some stooge picks it up to be regurgitated on biasedbbc,. Great stuff! BZ gas, incapacacitating agents. Utter ballocks.
You appear, uncharacteristically, not to have noticed the glaring lacuna in your argument.
All that you accuse those contributors of here, who question HMG’s and al Beebus’ narrative re the Salisbury incident and alleged chemical attack by Assad in Syria, of being conspiracy fruitcakes and loons soaking up the propaganda of RT and various mouthpieces under apparent control of the Kremlin.
Could just as pertinently be applied to you: by your slavish parroting of HMG’s dubious propositions on the above, without stepping back and taking an objective view.
You remind me of an eight year old child being told something he doesn’t wish to hear; fingers stuck in his ears hopping around, humming loudly to himself.
If you disagree with someone else’s opinion on this, then produce a counter argument to it. You don’t, however, you resort to insults and name calling; which rather implies that you can’t.
Al
I see. You actually have evidence about the Salisbury incident. Names of government officials involved in poisoning the Scribals. Videos of suspicious characters hanging around the Scripals house. Detailed accounts of the drug taking habits of the Scribals as some claim they were suffering from a drug overdose. Are you an expert on nerve agents or even organophosphates? Have you read any of the reports from the Swiss lab that claims BZ a British nerve agent was used not Novichok. Are you an experienced investigator who has visited Salisbury to find out what was going on on the ground or are you just a flatulent windbag spouting nonsense on the internet.
Contact Crimestoppers if you have any real information.
Well of course he didn’t. Both the ‘chemical attack’ and the Skripal poisoning are false flags. Unfortunately we live in an age where people no longer care about the facts which enables people like May to literally get away with murder.
Good comments AL Shubtil and kingkp.
Bu don’t waste too much time on ID. he incapable of giving any on this topic. I ask for evidence because I am willing to be convinced, he responds with insults and very silly arguments.
Hitler ruled a totalitarian state where the was no opposition left and he could gas who he liked. There were no international journalists to roam free, no street by street satellite photography no drones and no cellphones with cameras. Syria has been under the worlds spotlight. Assad does not have any control like Nazi Germany indeed there is a rebellion against him and was once bombed for a previous false flag.
Trying to have a reasonable discussion with ID reminds me of the character played by John Cleese in the Monty Python piece ‘The Argument Skit’. Google it and have a laugh.
ID wants to shut down the debate not help us learn the truth. Who does that remind you of? Clue; it is a Corporation that begins with B.
Yasser
You cannot have a serious conversation with mindless “false flag” confabulators. You seem to think Hitler existed. Can you prove it? Will the sun rise tomorrow? Yes? Can you prove it?
With “false flag” loons skepsis is never directed towards their own deranged outpourings. Their level of doubt always stops where their lack of imagination kicks in. The Russians couldn’t have done it in Salisbury innit. It would spoil the football. It was a British false flag to get them Russians into trouble. Not very cui bono for the UK deep state if you want to recruit double agents in future. Duuuuuuh!
ID You are just repeating yourself. This is of no interest to anybody.
Just a note for you though. Check it out. I have never written a word about the Salisbury affair. I think Putin probably did it. He is certainly capable of it. I have probably only ever watched 10 minutes of RT in my life. So you are barking up the wrong tree.
You love insults, but I’m not interested in trading them with you. This site is too good for that. You can have the last word. And my guess is that it will be an insult.
Speculation about “false flags” is also pointless and has nothing to do with biasedbbc. I don’t think Putin personally applied the agent as you suggest – even though Tsars in the past have personally beheaded miscreants. More seriously though I am deeply puzzled why people who are perceptive enough to see the often subtle BBC bias are so keen to defend Putin. It’s like a child who has seen through the Santa Claus confabulation stolidly defending the Tooth Fairy as real existing entity. What am I failing to see? Maybe Niggle Fartage will cast some light on the matter on LBC this morning. He thinks it’s a “Russian actor” but hasn’t revealed whether stage or screen.
Have to say, “…brain-dead BBC watching cretins like you we need to worry about. It doesn’t seem to concern you morons..” is possibly of less interest to many.
People can I ask a favour,
Can we stay on topic which is the BBC , yes there are some pressing concerns around the world, and nobody objects to the odd off topic post. But currently we have been overrun by people who wish to opine what a bad place the West is , in its treatment of Russia. As I said, the odd post is fine, but come on, it’s 247 at the moment, If you wish to gripe go elsewhere and give the rest of us a chance to fart in public.
Maybe some analysis on how the BBC has been reporting this? They have been positively pushing for intervention for several days now and are absolutely cock-a-hoop of the successful outcome – bombing of Syria in support of the Syrian Rebel Coalition. Even on the CBBC webpage for British children they have been carefully explaining the need for western intervention.
PS how is it going in Afrin? The BBC have stopped reporting from that part of Syria. As far as I can tell it is going well for Turkey and the Syrian Rebels there and not so well for the Kurds – but as I say there doesn’t seem to be much news reported from there at the moment.
The CBBC webpage includes handy ‘tips’ about what to do if you are feeling sad about what you’ve seen, heard or read. http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/13865002
[My version]
It’s important to remember that being sad, worried or angry about awful things that happen in the world around you is okay and perfectly normal. You might want to talk to someone at home, or you could speak to a teacher at school. Your teacher might decide to have a discussion in class about it so you can all understand what you are supposed to think (and don’t worry – you won’t be reported to the government unless you are worrying wrongly).
Don’t forget – terrible things, like leaving the EU, are on the news because they are rare and do not happen very often. The most important thing is that if you are feeling upset, don’t keep what’s troubling you about the news to yourself. If you express your feelings on social media the rainbow Twitter police can help.
Pounce – agreed – it’s easy to stray. The State broadcaster seems to treat uk involvement in military action as a spectator sport. And over the last few days has been biased toward big bangs with shocking lack of restraint .
In a way it might have done people like me a favour by distracting from brexit 350 days to go as well as the Enoch Powell programme tonight – unless someone gets an injunction today for it.
But yes pounce – this is about the state on the media and al beeb bias.
Roland – still on your “first” high – don’t worry it passes. apols for my tie pin as I wasn’t wearing my specs .
Reading many of the comments they are more about the “war “ issue than al beeb . Al beeb trundled American lady called Ann Applebaum on at the end of Toady who said all the talk of WW3 is made up by Moscow Centre and is propaganda . I guess she’s got a really good bunker .
The BBC claims to hold power to account, but with a dubious history of who it holds, about what, when, and why, it is a shot bolt as trustworthy check or balance.
Corbyn is leader of an Oppostion that also is meant to serve such a function. Yet put his ex squeeze in charge of this brief; a role for which she is even less qualified than all others.
Corbyn, IIRC, has now been made privy to the intelligence briefings. Yet still seems at best equivocating opportunistically. History will judge him on this.
The problem is that in many matters of state it is about trust, in competence and honesty and commitment to national interest.
Pounce, whilst I always try to link my comments to the BBC, to be honest I came to the site this morning to see whether you had posted and what you had to say. I know that you know a lot about ME politics and you would have a view on these chemical attacks, and I wanted to hear it. I have serious concerns whether the film the BBC showed of the chemical attacks was genuine and whether there is actual other footage that was more convincing.
Tucked away on the bbc web pages …
“Report: Ex-FBI Deputy Director McCabe misled investigators”
The BBC (finally!!!) admits “The US Justice Department has delivered a scathing report to Congress accusing fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe of repeatedly misleading investigators.”
“The review found Mr McCabe, 50, authorised his aides to disclose internal FBI and justice department information about a Clinton Foundation investigation to a Wall Street Journal reporter in October 2016.
He previously told investigators as well as his former boss, then FBI director James Comey, he did not authorise the leak and “did not know who did”, according to the report.”
Up until now, the BBC has insisted that Trump is always in the wrong, though they havent appologised for that.
Odd, the BBC still hasn’t yet told its readers, and I guess its long suffering viewers and listeners how McCabe’s wife was a democratic candidate funded by Hillary. And by funded I don’t mean the McCabe’s were given a back hander of 20-30 dollars for printing pamphlets. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars going form Hillary’s supporters into the household of the McCabes.
Still, at last BBC website readers can learn about 15% of the truth – so long as they dig deeply into the BBC’s web site.
Scrib
Thanks for that information . I get the impression that the democrats did what new labour did with law enforcement – put its own people in fbi heads and chief constables – landing up with a politically driven law enforcement which will take years to change – even into a neutral one.
Thankfully only caught the last hour to save my blood pressure. Humph is an experienced journo and been around the block .his attitude to the Syria attacks is almost breathtaking – he really seems to want a world war. It must be on the beeboid water supply .
A small scale attack aimed at not killing Russians . Do we really want a reprisal attack on Cyprus ? Over Syria ?
And al beeb skims over the failure of Obama/ Cameron to do the business the first time round .
We won’t be hearing from either of these any time soon and nor will al beeb say anything about them.
On a more important matter ( not albeeb ? Any grand nat tips ?? )
Not al beeb bias but social observation. . I went to a London theatre . It was one of these standing up jobs . There were more black actors playing Romans than there were black people in the audience .female actresses played very male roles . In the play ( spoiler alert ) Julius Caesar was killed by 5 women . I think I have a Quentin Letts issue.
We’ve noticed that when we visit the theatre very few non whites except for me and a load of oriental tourists. You’d think the bbc would have noticed that, but oh no they are too busy defending a black himonie in Harry Potter on stage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36454875
Pounce – I don’t know if it’s a matter of racism or sexism or some other ism but I just thought it was daft and confusing .
Maybe I’m just not snow flaky or Metro or down with the kidults .
I’m wondering is there will be reversals where white men play non white females roles . When al beeb brings the black and white minstrels back that could get confusing too.
Haven’t seen reruns on gold recently . Maybe jimmy non person Saville presented them…
@Pounce The libs would say
..that black people don’t go to the theatre unless they see “people like them” on stage
..ie you first have black actors and then after a year black audience members.
“On a more important matter ( not albeeb ? Any grand nat tips ?? )”
Fedup,
If you’re going to enter a horse in the Grand National make sure there are no photographers about. – or the BBC will send a helicopter to hover over your house.
Pounce , does that include your comments that are off topic too?
I have just upticked one of yours I found very good. Not this latest one though. You don’t seem to like reading comments that disagree with you. To call for people to leave the site because they question the validity of the ‘chemical attack’ in Syria is pretty snowflake behaviour.
The post above “Fake news in Douma” is very informative but then it’s not BBC. Perhaps it shouldn’t have been posted?
I think that this site has so much popularity is because it talks widely about the topics that the BBC is twisting. I learn a lot from here.
But then I’m all for freedom of speech and critical thinking.
Did you notice where I stated we all go off topic, now and again, my point was about the constant droning which has been going on for weeks now, about Syria.
Pounce while I accept your general point (and I expect that I am probably one of the guilty parties on this). It is sometimes quite difficult staying exactly “on topic” As it seems to me a non accountable/irresponsible state media and a increasingly non accountable/devious anti democratic Goverment in many ways have become extensions of each other.
Having said that yes – I will try and keep my tub thumping in future a bit more BBC specific.
Yasser – I noticed that too re Our friend Pounce but did not think it fair to comment . I get the point about straying from observations of al beeb though .
On a lighter note can I recommend one al beeb programme to watch/ record tonight ?? They put dads army back on . Yes I’ve seen them all yes I’ve got the box set but they still work and remind us of better times.( I don’t mean 1940) This episode is about 1974 . I was 14. I saw one of the radio version being made once – privilege .
The PM has authorised a RAF strike against Assad’s chemical weapons sites in advance of the OPCW investigation and Report into the Duma chemical weapon attack. Doesn’t trust the OPCW, maybe?
Two days earlier, the OPCW confirmed the nerve agent used in the Salisbury attack was of a Soviet-era type. It sort of got the PM off the hook a bit.
Whoops. What do you suddenly NOT like about the OPCW, PM?
Up I think there were two reasons for the Friday night job – 1 President Trump didn’t want to interrupt his weekend golf 2. The thought of a parliamentary recall and a lot of overpaid expense claimed trying to sound “statesperson” like was too much to bear.
And it blew any questions out of the water too. Suppose they’ll fire off another well named missile tonight – maybe” the steamer” or “screamer”.
Suppose RT will show picture of a headache pill factory that was mullahed
I have just come across the following but won’t be able to read it for some time. It seems to be a very detailed analysis and allegation that the BBC knowingly presented fake video and information in Syria in 2013 with their Rebel Syrian allies to discredit Assad and to create pressure for the UK and others to intervene in Syria: https://bbcpanoramasavingsyriaschildren.wordpress.com/
While not totally unsympathetic to his point, I do disagree about 80-85%. And I blame the Beeb. 😉
The BBC has three senior News Editors; Politics, Economics and Business and major country or area Editors, eg. Jeremy Bowen as Middle East Ed. and Sopey over in Washington (Yes, I know there are a legion of others, but that’s the way of the BBC creating jobs for the boys and girls and paying them lots of our money.) Since the turn of the 21st century, the BBC heavily promoted their Editors, especially the Senior ones and asked them to write regular Blogs for the BBC web-site, which they did. (That’s the way of the BBC creating jobs for the boys and girls and paying them lots more of our money.) These Blogs were open to registered web-site users to comment. It wasn’t long before a (growing) community would gather around, for example, Steffie Flanders’ Blog and talk mostly economics but occasionally stray off topic which might or might not be allowed. BBC Moderation was none too good or consistent. (But that’s the way of the BBC, creating jobs for the boys and girls and paying them lots of even more of our money.) Same for ‘Toenails’ and Pesto and their Blogs. Each had a Community but also many would post across all three because, inevitably in the way of the world, politics, business and economics collide and overlap and mix.
Real communities, from the virtual world, started to gather regularly (often daily) to discuss, argue, debate, bring insights – perhaps share specialist (inside) knowledge, argue some more, teach, fight like rats in a sack, apologise, share personal news & griefs, commiserate, take sides, learn from each other, have minds changed, carry on arguing, and so on. It struck me as I participated a bit and then increasingly, that what the BBC had done was a truly wonderful thing.
In an increasingly busy and disconnected 24/7 world, the BBC had used new technology to bring back the City gates and village pump of old, of times long ago. They had brought communities, albeit anonymously in many cases, around these Blogs, and enabled people to have a voice and engage with each other. It enabled learning and increased understanding while challenging all ideas and at the same time providing examples of tolerance, acceptance and, even, forgiveness. On any given Blog you might see bad aspects of human nature being, if not overcome, at least overshadowed by the good.
Then, a few years ago, having built this community, it was killed off by the BBC under James Purnell.
Why?
I don’t know. You would have to ask him. Too much of a coincidence of an ex-Labour MP & Minister finding statements about his precious Party and their policies too much to take, perhaps?
Changes were also made to the web-site restricting posting, making searching more difficult. In addition, Steffie left, Nick needed treatment for his cancer and Pesto swapped jobs moving to Steffie’s spot. Laura Kuenssberg did not Blog regularly (how you get the nick-name ‘Part-time’) and did not want sweaty proles commenting on her precious pearls of wisdom. I would also guess that the amount of data that was going through the BBC servers was becoming too much for their capacity and what the BBC was willing to pay for updating kit and capacity and the techies to run it. It’s OK to pay ‘Part-time’ a quarter of a mill but half that to geek in skinny jeans who looks like he should be in school, oh no! Despite a guaranteed income of £3.6bn …..
That’s probably the real reason for the demise of the BBC-based community. The BBC are greedy for power and money. They have become fat and lazy. They know they are powerful (albeit under threat from new media) and have allowed that power to be corrupted and diverted into promotion of their own political ideas and ideals. Citizen journalism and the new media that facilitates it, threatens the BBC and their hold on power and their money.
They could have kept ‘their community’ together and under their wing. Instead, they destroyed it and those scattered sparrows who like ‘meeting others’ inevitably head elsewhere. Some of them landed here and stayed around the Biased BBC feeder so it is inevitable that the chatter will stray from the topic of BBC bias and other faults onto the topics of the day. Funny thing but this morning, while dozing and listening to early TOADY Prog, my mind briefly strayed to those that we haven’t heard from here in a while; Grant, Support our Lefty, Cranmer, for example.
When that sort of thing happens, you know that you have a community.
Here’s a wild guess:
They are doing some really hard, intensive work, exploring whether there is scope to morph this site or move separately into a Blogging/podcasting news alternative to the MSM, especially the BBC. One of the dangers of doing what the BBC have done with their web-site, Editors’ Blogs and HYSs is that inspired individuals or groups may then go off and create an alternative to a part of the BBC. If you like, an early version and example of this, THE prototype – whether you like it or not – is/was Guido Fawkes.
Rather less wild, much more realistic guess:
The data this site is now carrying is getting a bit big for the servers. In addition, it now has an archive that both needs to be managed (and made increasingly accessible – for research, etc.) and could be utilised more in different ways. Then there are new Data Protection changes coming in May 2018, so there may or will be work to do for that.
If it is any encouragement to David, Alan and their team, I probably first visited here nearly a decade ago. I ran away, more than slightly shocked. Occasionally thereafter, I would dip back in and shrink back and away. When B-BBC switched to registration for users, I signed up as I had started to see a change for the better. That continued and accelerated under the new set-up. Thank you gentlemen – and, of course – any ladies.
I think Biased-BBC is better than ever, although the topical posts from David, Alan and others are missed, as are the more clockwork updates, but this site in my view has improved tremendously and is also great entertainment from the writing and humour displayed, for example, just on this Thread so far. I’ve had a jolly good laugh or chuckle at some of the posts here. Thank you all.
Even so, come back Support Our Lefty! Where are you?
As the old Readers Digest used to state: ‘Laughter IS the best medicine.’
Personally I don’t mind reading ‘all subjects’, as the comments on the beeb being biased – although true, can also be repetitive, as there is only so much or so many ways of reporting their bias; and because of the variety I too have learned a lot from my friends on here, (despite my being an alleged cougar, although when you get to a certain age the only way to go is backwards !!!)
No doubt bBC WILL report on the ?hundreds of anti-Brexit protests in Britain this weekend https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/945852/brexit-news-remain-anti-brexit-protest-campaign-second-referendum
“Pro-European groups will be out in force on Saturday for a so-called National Day of Action, with hundreds of events taking place across the country…
Organisers are hoping thousands of activists and supporters will be taking part, and are proposed to hand out 500,000 leaflets…
Campaigners will then launch a new People’s Vote campaign off the back of the event, calling for the British people to get a fresh vote on the Brexit deal before we quit the EU.”
Chuckie and Sourbry will be addressing the London event.
I spotted this yesterday http://www.cityam.com/283752/uk-must-set-its-own-rules-after-brexit
“… the government is busy implementing EU law as fast as Brussels can produce it. Research by Thomson Reuters Legal Business reveals that the UK has introduced a total of 707 new laws that originated from Brussels since the EU referendum last June.”
Is this true? Where was the much lauded parliamentary ‘scrutiny’ of all these new laws?
May says the raid was a warning to ‘anyone else’ who might want to use chemical weapons ‘with impunity’.
Could the ‘anyone else’ be the Russians? (eg ‘Novichok’)
If her warning is ignored, is she going to raid Moscow next?
Concentrated acid is the chemical weapon of choice on the streets of Britain. And it is vicious – eating away at flesh until it reaches bone depending on the amount and concentration used.
May says the raid was a warning to ‘anyone else’ who might want to use chemical weapons ‘with impunity’.

To see what our public bodies are capable of doing to us, just Google Porton Down and the widespread testing of nerve agents and such on unsuspecting members of our armed forces and the general public.
Stew – The grotesque Swed-ish authorities cracking down on free speech and Truth.
Good luck with that, fortunately there’s still the internet, where it’s still possible to access ‘inconvenient’ information and opinions (for now at least), and most Swedes speak good English.
I accept the requirement to stick rigidly to the subject of the BBC. The problem for me is that I don’t see much difference between the BBC, the state, and what the Americans refer to as the ‘deep state’.
Think we all do, GWF, it is how we bond although we may divide on what we want to happen to the BBC and on some other matters.
Still won’t let it stop me wandering a bit as well as, now, having a gentle dig at Pounce from time to time. After all, Thoughtful has become reconciled – has he not – to the race to be first on a new Thread? I mean, you can hear his eye-balls roll from time to time but I guess he has a little chuckle at some of the jokes and puns.
I know some of you lot have been droning on about the impending nuclear holocaust. But please keep to topic – if you want to talk about the imminent end of days then please take your conversation elsewhere. Thank you.
Ps this is a spoof. I love Pounce most of the time and wouldn’t want to change him one bit, but as the great Karl Popper once said: Great Men make Great Mistakes.
You Make me recall the Leftmob character on a spoof Question Time on Not the Nine o Clock News back in the 80s.
In terms…
‘ Here we are droning on about an impending nuclear holocaust and all the while missing the main issue. Which is the appalling austerity policies against the public sector by the evil Tory government’.
LeftMob have changed little…….
“….make no mistake, we as a country have stepped well and truly through the looking glass. If you tow the line, watch your TV and keep your mouth shut, then you’ll slowly just lose what is left of your freedom. However, if you open your mouth, then they will come after you. Unless we as a nation begin to open our eyes to the seriousness of this situation, we are well and truly lost.” Very true words from someone who knows…….. https://www.jihadwatch.org/2018/04/why-i-was-interviewed-by-britains-counter-terrorism-police

I’m guess we must be on a list somewhere – acts of Parliament such as section 5 of the public order act are so widely drawn that anything can be dragged into it so there is a method for the state to criminalise certain types of people .
Your post isn’t directly about albeeb but freedom of speech is strongly allied to the whole al beeb propaganda machine as designed by mr j goeballs.
As far as freedom is concerned it’s gone – this site will disappear sooner or later .
Somebody writing for The Guardian has written a column suggesting that the al beeb programme “ “have I got news..” should be ended. Hell I stored with that years ago – I didn’t realise it was still on
Fluff,
its the Common Theme-Now Show- off switch – News Quiz- Off switch. Any Questions- Newsnight – off switch. Feel more than justified in not paying. The inspector promised a visit but no show yet.
Corbyn will be full of it Monday – I reckon its an anorak, sailor hat and NUM badge – day. Comrade Salmon will be doing the bidding of RT as usual .
I suppose the dead kids on Londonistan theme has got boring now. Still dead though.Theres no doubt that the 24 hour news cycle helps bury news for politicians and al beeb alike.

Having read the Powell speech and noted how prophetic he was, I am drawn to the conclusion that the BBCLabour will use against Powell the same tactics that Blair/Campbell used to discredit Andrew Gilligan over the dodgy dossier.
That is, identify specific detail and show that it was wrong. Then, make a big noise about these errors. The gullible will conclude that because of the noise and errors the whole thing must be wrong.
Hopefully the less gullible will see the wood for the trees. Certain details may be wrong but the general idea, the direction of travel, the big picture is right.
Some of Powell’s thoughts are amazingly accurate 50 years later. The differentiation between overseas students and permanent immigrants. The acceptance of overseas doctors working in the NHS. Towns changing character because of mass immigration and subsequent second generation growth. He may have screwed up in places, but he wasn’t wrong.
The Al BBC will intersperse it with their usual garbage,
ala those irritating back to the 70s or 80s shows that suddenly find some f-ckwit with scripted snide remarks … pretending they were there, when it is patently obvious they were not old enough to be, or have no idea of context or situation.
… Oops!, spoke too soon
Uh Oh! … “Professor David Dabydeen of the University of Warwick talks about Powell’s failure to realise that the racial unrest in America, which he feared might spread to Britain, was around basic civil rights such as the right to vote, and the right to sit on a bus”.
UH OH! … “David Lammy MP talks about the fear that the speech created amongst his family at the time, becoming part of the wallpaper of his childhood”
UH! UH! OH! … “Taking the speech section by section, he BBC’s Media Editor Amol Rajan and a range of contributors reflect etc”
Hip hip hooray. We have won, we beat Assad and the Ruskies
‘But these strikes were not just a show of force. They were a a show of solidarity with allies trying to make a stand against the use of chemical weapons’.
Jacob rees mogg has been on Twitter supporting the Times editorial written by his father concerning the Enoch Powell speech .
JRM has taken a right kicking as the title of the editorial is “ an evil speech “ he has reproduced the editorial from 1968?. The kicking comes from the many who believe Enoch was right .
Bit of light discussion for the Sundays as opposed to Syria starting the final war .
Can anyone be more evil than MP Cyril Smith and Savile? words never hurt anyone, which is why I find the term Hate Crime somewhat ridiculous and I tend to think of kids in the playground shouting “I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU “, but actions can have a lasting lifetime effect.
John
That seemed to be the consensus on the twitter responses and JRM appears to have lost his shine a bit .
I’m glad I only monitor twitter and not engage as it seems to get really vitriolic compared to what gets said here. I wonder if the Enoch Powell Show will be available in the I player ?
If there is any crumb of comfort in all this liberal howling about a speech from 50 years ago, then it`s this. Martin Luther Kings speech at just about the same time has yet to get loads of lefty pillars and styrofoam padding and pretexts put around it all, just in case we act on what he said.
Turns out that Enoch is still more dangerous now dead, than Dr King is-and poor King was killed for his speech.
Powell is more incendiary to the liberal project than anything in recent memory-the Great Man would be proud, as would his family.
Imagine him listening in tonight, God smiling on him for being right at the apex of where immigration, Brexit and Ulster meet-and calling every one of them correctly.
Meanwhile pigmies like Heseltine and Hurd, Hattersley and Roche face the fires that bit hotter each day. Unfettered immigration into hell, they`ll approve.
Up til now only Jesus was more danger once dead, than when alive-is Enoch about to join Him?
What did the far-left bbc know about muslim sexual abuse of our children and when did they know it. And more importantly, what did they do about it besides burying it in their regional news website pages?

This should stop, and the nation knows it.”

Actually at the time Russia was the only country in the world with an operation ABM sysytem
A-135 anti-ballistic missile system
The A135 took over from from A35 in 1995 which itself had been operation from 1971, Now China, India and Israel all have operation ABM missile systems, seeing as they take time to design and build, the US was prudent to do so.

As for the Crimea, Putin has admitted that the plan to annex Crimea was ordered weeks before the referendum on self-determination.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-31796226
Why? because the Crimea holds all the docks and such for the Russia black sea fleet and with the Russian lease on the naval years (which was set to expire in 2017) increased by 25 years in 2010 with a reduction in the price of gas sold to the Ukraine from Russia, a cut as we saw which meant nothing with Moscow reneging on that deal. However by upsetting the Ukrainians they knew that they could by rights kick out the Russias, leaving them as huge loss in Naval docks and suck, so they took it, blaming everybody else as for the reason why.

Duuuuuuh!

The current lot do not inspire on any count.

The FBi are split on Hilalry. Some love her, like McCabe but others loathe her.

The post above “Fake news in Douma” is very informative but then it’s not BBC. Perhaps it shouldn’t have been posted?

Re the Pounce ‘Moan’ above:

Roland,
Here’s a wild guess:

Is this true? Where was the much lauded parliamentary ‘scrutiny’ of all these new laws?

Treezer says we had no choice but to bomb Assad
Just suppose that Trump decided not to go in.
Brave Treezer would have us go in alone
Pull the other one. Bush n Blair, Trump n Treezer.

Our goevernment cannnot even handle those who use knives with apparent impunity on our own streets

What about our lot, does it apply to them too?
To see what our public bodies are capable of doing to us, just Google Porton Down and the widespread testing of nerve agents and such on unsuspecting members of our armed forces and the general public.

We could do with something like this in the UK. What’s that you say? “don’t give people ideas”.

Stew – The grotesque Swed-ish authorities cracking down on free speech and Truth.
Good luck with that, fortunately there’s still the internet, where it’s still possible to access ‘inconvenient’ information and opinions (for now at least), and most Swedes speak good English.

Sticking rigidly to the subject of the BBC [see, here, Pounce 😉 a gold star, please ] http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-43750448
Comments are not going the BBC’s way but are good for a laugh.

Last night we had lots on Trump, some on the Tories and the Queen, and not one single jibe at Jezza and Labour.
How very impartial. Not.,

Fluff,
its the Common Theme-Now Show- off switch – News Quiz- Off switch.

Hey Treezer, you got a pussy grabber for an ally

Jacob rees mogg has been on Twitter supporting the Times editorial written by his father concerning the Enoch Powell speech .
JRM has taken a right kicking as the title of the editorial is “ an evil speech “ he has reproduced the editorial from 1968?. The kicking comes from the many who believe Enoch was right .
Bit of light discussion for the Sundays as opposed to Syria starting the final war .

Enoch Powell appears to have been a wonderful man. Evil is the last thing he was.
