Start the Week Open Thread 21 May 2018

As many Britons bath in the post  nuptuals of a recent diverse wedding we return to the sad prospect of biased al Beeb. Monday the 21st – start of the Grenfell inquiry, Tuesday 22nd – anniversary of the Muslim terrorist attack in Manchester and at the end of the week the Irish Referendum on abortion . And the ongoing attacks on President Trump, Brexit and anyone or anything of which Albeeb groupthink disapproves

so a busy week…

Interested in the US? Bill Still’s 2241 is worth watching. It seems former CIA Director John Brennan features big time in trying to bring down Trump. I was trying to remember where I’d seen Brennan before. Oh yes, on BBC news recently, telling us all about how it was the Russians wot did it and what a baddie Trump is.
But then, Brennan is who you’d expect to see on the BBC. If Brennan is not careful, the next place the corporation will have to go to interview him is a Federal prison.

Are we witnessing, fnw, the clash of two egos – Trump’s and Bannon’s – like two pieces of different ‘weights’ of fissionable material – Plutonium and Uranium – being brought together?

For the next two and a half years (or, perhaps, six and half years) we may have to continually put up with these impacts that will irradiate our airwaves, newspaper racks and bookshelves and give the listeners, viewers and readers a form of awful sickness.

Never mind. Think of it like banging your head against a wall …..

: It’s a dumb thing to divide the population into men women, but that gives the metroLibs convenient narratives.
The Press Association has done a study between London vs the Northeast which has a third of the population.
Medical students : 245 vs 1,585 (equal proportion would be 525)
University places each year : 6,420 vs 81,385 (equal proportion would be 27,000)
ie you are 4 times more likely to go to uni if you come from London than NE)
I’m guessing that since people retire outside London, it has a much younger population.

The BBC, as always, playing fast and loose with the news as it cobbles together a report that is clearly meant to paint a negative picture of the Danish immigration minister….

‘Denmark’s immigration minister has been widely rebuffed after she suggested Muslims should take time off work during Ramadan because of potential safety risks to the rest of society.
Inger Stojberg, who has a reputation for hardline immigration policies, said fasting throughout the working day raised challenges for modern society.
She cited potential risks for bus drivers and in hospitals.’

The BBC goes onto suggest that in fact no-one in Denmark actually thinks this is a problem and it is just a right-wing politician making up problems to demonise muslims.

Funny how the BBC forgets…such as this report from last year from the BBC…

    Fasting and driving

‘The Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) has published research on the effects of fasting on fitness to drive.

It says fasting can have a range of effects including tiredness, dizziness, dehydration, headache, and a reduction in concentration, prompting safety concerns.

The report advises workers to ask for physically demanding tasks to be delayed until after Ramadan, and says managers must be aware of the potential effects of fasting on their staff.’

Aslef, the railworker’s union, also recommends taking time off during Ramadan.

The BBC’s report today, thoroughly researched and informed, is pure propaganda.

I thought the same. The desperation needed that a minister in another country makes a cautionary comment on the impact of fasting on workers operating transport or machinery and the Beeb is desperate to scream racism.

More insidious though is the constant need (which others have commented on) to keep notifying us all that Ramadam is happening.

It really says something about the pace of immigration and lack of assimilation that something would have gone unnoticed 10 years ago has to be mentioned and referenced constantly by the media as if it’s a norm of UK society.

In Madeira at the mo (can we still say mo?) talking to fellow Brits about their views on Brexit and the enrichment of their societies. The majority, after a little suspicion, open up as if in a confessional, genuine relief to find others who think as they do and are terrified at the direction the UK is heading in and what the future holds for their loved ones especially. Others who voted to remain, tend to be the ones who own property, or time shares and are fearful of losing same should we ever leave. Great spot, Madeira, wonderful people and the only towel heads tend to be ladies coming out of the pool!

I dare say this has been mentioned earlier on this site, but what puzzles me is the apparently complete disappearance of Lee Rigby from the BBC et al today. His brutal murder (one could go into a lengthy debate on whether it was a ‘racist’ murder or not) occurred on this day, some years ago, did it not? One can think of other persons who were murdered (possibly for somewhat similar reasons?), who are commemorated with huge coverage and in many ways.
How can this be explained? Ignorance? Bias? Did I simply miss it? In a nation that prides itself on fairness..?
(If it is bias, then it seems to me to be a particularly inhuman bias, perhaps like the way the cowardly murder itself was conducted).

According to the Nielsen Company in the week 30/4 – 5/4 (American stylee, end of April – start of May) The Daily Show with Trevor Noah was watched each night by an average of 770, 000 viewers. Is that roughly a quarter of a percent, 0.25 %, of the population?

Just how influential does Trevor Noah and the bBbc think that we think he actually is? It seems that he and the bBbc and the rest of his opinionated and much vaunted peers, sycophantically heralded and flattered by the bBbc, from the world of showbiz, or journalism, or satire, (whatever it is it’s seldom entertainment), may be a little delusional when gauging their influence on the American people and politics.

James Corden? 1.39 million, 0.5 % of the population.
      Jimmy Fallon? 2.68 million, 0.9 %
Stephen Colbert? 3.85 million viewers, about 1.2 %?

I think that Saturday Night Live averages about 8.5 million viewers. Less than 3 % of the population. Only 2.53 million watched the SNL vintage show on May 19, 2018.

Now, who really gives a shit about what this man would ask Trump? How many viewers actually find Alex Baldwin impersonating Donald Trump ‘hilarious’? Why do Kimmel, Corden, Colbert and the rest think that, on the scale of things, them or their opinions actually matter?

And, more importantly, if nobody in America gives a shit about Trevor Noah and friends, what makes the bBbc think that anybody in Britain or anywhere else does?

To me that is FakeNews since Scunthorpe is so windy, away from the sensor the air is clean.

Groundhog Broadcasting Corporation.

Perhaps more shows are made by men as on average they have different skill sets to women? Extremes of intelligence – Mozart, Shakespeare, Newton, Einstein etc – tend to be male, and men on average are more interested in ideas than women. So what? You do not get harmony if everyone plays the same note. Equality should not mean ‘sameness.’

They are so stupid for passing ‘hate speech’ laws as now to even mention this hate fact could land you in prison. So we will grope around in the dark looking for all this imaginary ‘oppression’ and total garbage will get commissioned purely on the basis the author is a woman.

How can we ever get out of this mess if it is illegal to even propose a solution, yet along put one into practice?

a woman says too many film and tv scripts are written by men
I’m guessing that moan was made without any reference to factual evidence. I tend to read the credits on movies and TV shows to see who the writers, producers and directors are. The large number of female names is very noticeable, probably around the 50/50 level on modern productions. It is also irrelevant, as it is supposed to be about talent and whether the mix is 50/50, 99/1, 1/99 or any level inbetween is inconsequential if a quality product is being provided. I suspect that ‘the woman who says’ has a mindset dating from the 1960s or earlier, when perhaps matters were different.

      Recommend anyone try Roth`s books `The Counterlife` `American Pastoral` `The Human Stain`
Would also recommend a British crime writer Phillip Kerr who died 2 months . Try `The lady from Zagreb`

He then went on to introduce a bit about how 10,000 people got a bumble bee tattoo to ‘show support for the victims’ with a sprinkling of liberals saying “hope not hate”.

Seriously? Is this what the human race has descended to? Used to be prayers and candles, then hashtags, and now tattoos. I bet Islamic terrorists are shaking in their boots right now.

Interesting that they chose the bee to represent the “cohesion” people need to replicate in the face of “hate”
Their choice of a bee is curious, since bees have a very different response to “hate” or more specifically a threat to their “community,” than the one our “community” is expected to exhibit. They attempt its destruction, even if they are destroyed in the process and they never give in.
Also, I’m not aware of bees allowing other insects (especially hostile ones) to live amongst them.

I rarely go into Manchester these days, though I used to work and socialise there, and knew it like the back of my hand.

The Labour city council have mucked up a lot of it, Piccadilly Gardens is a disgrace, mostly notable nowadays for open air drug dealing and homeless people zombified by Spice. Welcome to Manchester indeed.

In the rest of the city, apartment buildings seem to spring up overnight. They all the look the same, and are usually for students. They are just identikit rubbish, designed by computers.

But what really angers me is that one year on from the Arena atrocity we just have a left wing kumbaya wankfest, culminating in a mass singing of “All You Need is Love” in Albert Square. So what?

The fact is that nothing has changed. There has been no attempt to control the spread of the terroristic ideas of islam. There has been no attempt to control mosques or what is preached in them. The bottom line is that if another muslim decides to build a bomb and set it off in the centre of Manchester tommorow, there is absolutely nothing to stop him.

That is the truth, everything else is garbage.

The situation in this country is so bad it’s making me ill. I am trying my best not to be concerned but when you are confronted with the reality and you really care about this tiny island where you were born it is impossible to sleep at night. While the useless political system has totally failed us one might hope to find a rock in the good old BBC. Remember the days when the the news was actually a simple affair. One man in front of the camera reading real news with one main bulletin. Now it’s 24/7 carefully crafted fucking lies and there are thousands of them on hand to ensure they screw us with every word. Rob as you said NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Initially I agreed, then I realised things have changed. They have GOT WORSE. We are being shafted on Brexit despite being led to believe otherwise, Lee Rigby (god I hope he’s at peace, the guy was just going out for some lunch wasn’t he?) Westminster Bridge, London Bridge, the tube atrocities, Manchester, all of the European deaths. I don’t believe that they actually released how some of the people were murdered in that club. It stinks and WE are the colonisers, the bastards, the evil ones who deserve this shit. Like hell we do. Instead of addressing the crises and admitting WE HAVE A PROBLEM, it’s all about hate speech, and thought crime. Muslims are the victims and we are villains. Screw the government, all of them. Screw the BBC and the SJW who think diversity is our strength. I’m ill because I feel helpless. I can see what’s happening. The political parties see it too, Sadiq Khan sees it very clearly but he doesn’t feel ill, he feels empowered like all the fucking Muslims do. For gods sake they hate us. Absolutely, completely hate us. Racism! I’m not the racist. The fucking Muslims are. I’m the guy who would want to hold my hand out to shake theirs.
I’m ill because I know that THAT THEY KNOW. The government know, MI5 and 6 know, the BBC know, Macron knows, Tredeau knows, Merkel knows, the EU knows. THEY ALL FUCKING KNOW. Except that is for the kids. The younger ones at school and the older ones at university. Brainwashed by their teachers and lecturers AND THE BBC, they are being turned into simplistic brain deficient compliant useful idiots. At the present level of brainwashing they are in serious danger of self destruction while happily believing that they are skipping into a cultural utopia. It’s those very kids that I want to see a future for that right now would either see me butchered or denounce me as a racist facist bastard when in fact I’m actually trying to be their guardian angel.

I caught a little of the Jeremy Swine Show yesterday, he was discussing the Manchester bombing with another Beeboid who had made a documentary about it which was to be shown that night.
I studiously avoided al Beebus’ coverage of the anniversary since I knew what it would consist of and reading the posts by fellow contributors here, about the reporting yesterday, confirmed my assumptions.
However the bit of Jezza’s programme I caught encapsulated the al Beebus’ narrative. The M or I words weren’t used once in the interview and the documentary maker used the word “tragic” to describe the “events”.
The Islamic terrorist attack in Manchester was carried out to murder and to maim as many young women and girls as possible: it wasn’t a “tragic” event. It would have been if the deaths and injuries had been caused by an explosion due to an accidental gas leak or something similar, they weren’t.
It wasn’t an “event” or an “incident” – it was a deliberate atrocity.

The reason al Beebus peddle this line is to further the implication that it was similar to a natural disaster, or an unavoidable accident and how can one feel rage at deaths caused by such things? It would be irrational, since they aren’t intended.

Which is why the script is always about “love”; “bringing us together”; “uniting people” but the questions are never asked: for what reason? Why do you need to be brought together? Who or what are you united against?
Those questions are multiculturally blasphemous and so al Beebus doesn’t go anywhere near them.

On the bbc news this morning it was saying that water may be rationed in a decade or so for each person in a household because of shortages in supply.

No mention of the extra million coming in every 3 years.
They alone will need around 180 billion gallons extra each year every 3 years.

Another benefit of the mass immigration forced upon us.

They also mentioned that many towns and villages on the NE coast are becoming ghost towns with as many as 4 out of 5 houses being bought up for holiday homes.
The young people can not afford to buy anywhere and many are leaving.
Sounds familiar, others moving into an area and taking over.

‘Some say’ they buy these houses as an investment because interest rates, still at the emergency, temporary low after 10 years, give no reason to save and housing gives better returns.

I identified islam as a suggested one. Curiously, all the incoming emails stopped abruptly. Read into that what you will but, until I see a person stand up and say the currently ‘unsayable’ I’ll not support anyone. Taff – on the Toady programme the item was introduced with the wording the other way round ie climate change and population pressures. I remember because it made me think is it that way round to hide the effect of population pressures (probably what you and I would call ‘large number of immigrants from outside of the UK moving to SE England’) or is it due to ‘climate change’ (I thought the latest thinking (imagination) was that it was going to bring us more rain. Anyway it is all OK because we can blame the farmers – or so said the Head of the Environment Agency and that they can be encouraged to use less water. Farmers are already charged for the water they use to irrigate their crops as well as for water used to dilute sprays, hydrate their cattle etc so farmers already tend not to use more water than they have to. In fact it could be ‘celebrated’ that many techniques have already been introduced to use less water.

    More Must Be Done!

It is Dimness Day on TOADY (BBC R4 6-9am) or so it seems.

Started listening close to 7am. Presenters are quite ignorant as to how water use is measured and invoiced. Also, they are totally oblivious as to why we might be running short of the stuff in the UK in the decades to come. Never mind about blaming the people who run the country or the Water Cos., it is all the customers fault so let us punish them with quotas and fines and penalties and higher bills.

I assume that Beeboids earn so much money they can afford to employ PA’s who do such mundane tasks as paying Beeboids’ water and other utility bills and filing applications to Oxford University for their children. They have never seen such paperwork in their lives. Mere trivia.

Instead they live in a Literal Universe where there is no mundane paperwork such as household bills.

Instead there is the writing of Philip Roth, except not, no more. He is dead.

TOADY is droning on and on about Roth because at least being able to commemorate an American writer and bring American contributors onto the programme, enables the BBC to continue its love affair with everything American. Except for President Trump, of course. No love for him or the Republican Party at the BBC. A light has gone out in the world, with the death of Roth. Where is Bishop Curry when you need him?

Never mind, we will bring on Labour MPs and former MPs to complain and moan and ramp up grievances and dangers and problems. Oh woe! Pass the sackcloth, please.

Dim David Lammy and even Dimmer Ed Balls get lots of airtime after Nick (Oxford, I go there a lot) Robinson dances in circles with a lady representing Oxford Colleges. He takes pins, with heads full of angels, and tries to stick them in the lady from Oxford. The Beeboids do not appear to know how applications are made to Oxford University. Such dry matters as subject popularity and place availability are not for them.

Never mind. More must be done. Let’s get Dim and Dimmer back on to add their dimness to the gathering gloom. Oh! They have gone, so let us instead raise the dark spectre of Russians interfering with us.

Back to Philip Roth. Well, he was almost Russian as well as Jewish. But he is American, too. And Jewish. And American. No Dickens, this one! Philip Roth is American. And Jewish. And dead. Pass the black tie and suits and blouses and skirts. Oh woe!

Beeboids on TOADY have obviously bought shares in Roth’s publishers and Amazon and other booksellers, because they are pushing Roth like there is no tomorrow and for whom, sadly, there is now no tomorrow.

Pass the ashes, please, and close the curtains a little more. The Dimness is not enough.

The Russians are coming to bring darkness to us all. Did you know Philip Roth has died at the age of 85?

    A light has gone out.

He’s carried out a FoI request and now he can dig his racial knife in to the system even deeper (perhaps he could be charged with carrying an offensive weapon? – it sure needs something) A Dr. Khan is interviewed by Robinson on Toady. She’s the head of undergraduate selection and intake apparently. The two dance around on the head of a pin in trying to avoid saying that blacks don’t have the academic ‘prowess’ to qualify. But Oxford are doing all they can with ‘outreaches’ and ‘Summer Camps’ to bring the underprivileged up-to-scratch. That’s real Socialism for you: The majority have to work at the pace of the slowest. 0 child policy … see BBC for details.

I love my children dearly, but are they the biggest moral mistake I ever made?

Note the second sentence from ‘Simon’: “I’m a 32-year old white male”. Why does he feel the need to mention his ethnicity and why does it seem apologetic? It reminds me of the Alcoholics Anonymous declaration: “I’m Simon, I’m 32 and I’m an alcoholic”. Come on BBC, say what you really think, which is that white people should stop having children.

Hi Markymark, Oxford? In that case there are likely several gangs not too far away from a certain “community” that would be happy to take his two white children off his hands, and traffick them out of the country to use or sell them as sex slaves. The BBC would then award him morality points for doing his bit for diversity and multi-culturalism.

. . . BBC do not mention that North Korean leadership is a cult . . . Or that 25 million people believe the leaders do not use the toilet – how can Gods poo? . . .

Being the son of a labour peer and admitting that his life in the bubble disconnected him from real life I might have expected him to at least have a 50 50 split on his Sunday guests instead of 100 per cent remainers . Luckily it’s ITV so no one outside the bubble watches it .

Day three of the BBC radio series “Climate change and me too” and the science has all but disappeared. Geographer Mary Edwards was concerned about changes in the Arctic ice and spent her time making one-off “something must be done” personal observations. Describing a heat wave in Alaska she was of the opinion that it “didn’t feel quite right”. According to the evidence of her own eyes it was all a “wake up call” since the big thaw has started in the Arctic.

At one point she threatened to get interesting by suggesting that she had taken core lake mud samples to provide clues to past environmental change. Needless to say there was no mention of any results. She could have noted that ancient human bodies have been dug up in the permafrost of Greenland, but she didn’t since this would suggest that ice has not always been a permanent feature in large parts of the northern hemisphere (note to geographers: the clue is in the name).

Her talk can best be summed up by the following dispatch: “It will without doubt have come to your Lordship’s knowledge that a considerable change of climate, inexplicable at present to us, must have taken place in the Circumpolar Regions, by which the severity of the cold that has for centuries past enclosed the seas in the high northern latitudes in an impenetrable barrier of ice has been during the last two years, greatly abated”.

No not Ms Edwards, rather the report of the President of the Royal Society in London to the Admiralty, dated November 20, 1817.

The BBC and Daily Mail tell me that old people are not in favour of the House of Lords.

Young people are – surprisingly – in favour of the House of Lords.

Is that because the Russians have told young people, via Facebook and Twitter, to be in favour of the House of Lords?

Perhaps the BBC would care to comment? I think we should be told. :-J

Yet more thoroughly bad and wrong headed pseudo-science from the BBC. Total drivel but because it is from the BBC, more and more people will probably believe it.

We are heading in dangerous directions.

How many lone wolfs does it take to get worried? 20K on watch list? 2K on extreme watch list?

An alleged Isil supporter encouraged would-be lone wolf attackers to target Prince George at school, a court has heard.

Husnain Rashid provided an “e-toolkit for terrorism” in a “prolific” online channel he ran named the Lone Mujahid, Woolwich Crown Court was told on Wednesday.
