I’m surprised the CofE haven’t latched on to the potential for ‘The Second Cummings’ what with Whitsun so close.
Maybe they want to get their support for Eid out of the way first?

The attack on Cummings is definitely a project
    like Project Fear
I bet libmob have thousands engaged in this NON-ESSENTIAL work

    If Labour want Cummings sacked,
then they should be consistent and should have sacked Stephen Kinnock, Tarir Ali, and Kevan Jones from the party.

    H/T Annie

The Queen was on the telly last night…….
I’ve just taken this from https://lockdownsceptics.org/2020/05/22/latest-news-38/#comment-12352

Last night I dreamed a dream.

The Queen was scheduled to make a live broadcast to the nation. She appeared as usual, poised and serene. But suddenly she sat bolt upright, hurled a brick through the autocue, fixed the cameras with a steely glare, and began:

People of Britain, I know you are watching me without respect or full attention, sloppily dressed and probably eating junk food. I will give you just five minutes to take off your nappies, assume decent clothes, smarten yourselves up and return to hear my announcement.

    [Five minutes later.]

In view of the lamentable condition of this country, I have decided to resume my proper place as an active head of state. I have dismissed the present cabinet and am in process of selecting a new set of ministers equipped with brains and backbones. Dr David Starkey is to be the new Prime Minister, and Lord Jonathan Sumption will be Lord Chancellor. We are currently looking for a Chancellor who can add up and knows that there is no such thing as a magic money tree. We will let you know when and if we find one. Leading my new team, I shall restore this country from the shambles it has become.

For a thousand years, the best of the people of these islands have striven – not always successfully, and never unanimously, but unceasingly – to construct a system which is built on justice and individual freedom. But to maintain justice requires courage, and individual freedom requires individual responsibility. People of Britain! In a few short weeks, cowed and subjugated by panicking bullies who use fear and lies as their weapons, you have cast away the labours of a thousand years. You have ceased to care for justice, you have surrendered your freedom, and you have shrugged off your responsibilities. Everything that is worth having in Britain has been destroyed by the so-called lockdown. Without protest, without resistance, you have allowed your country to be turned into a vast concentration camp, where you are at the mercy of self-styled leaders who know neither leadership nor mercy.

You have betrayed the most vulnerable, the old and frail, by leaving them at the mercy of a ‘health service’ that bundled them into so-called ‘care’ homes to die. You have betrayed the sick, by abruptly terminating all treatment except for a single disease. You have betrayed the country’s children, by depriving them of their elementary right to an education, and then by proposing to subject the youngest of them to regimes of appalling and sadistic cruelty. You have betrayed young adults by taking away from them everything that makes their lives worth living, and deleting hope from their futures by deliberately and knowingly incurring economic collapse. You have betrayed yourselves by preferring idleness and cowardice to courage and honest work.

The empty streets of this country are not filled with love. That is sentimental nonsense. They are filled with despair: despair that you yourselves have created by believing the words of self-serving and unprincipled fools.

You have tried to achieve what has never been achieved before in the history of human affairs: you have done your very best to turn cowardice into a virtue.

Cowardice is not a virtue. It is the vilest and most shameful of human weaknesses. I shall not tolerate it.

    Therefore I say to you:

If you truly have reason to fear the present threat of disease, take whatever steps you yourselves deem necessary to protect yourselves. The rest of us will help and support you all we can.

For those – the vast majority – who are not in danger, the time of hiding from imaginary terrors is over. Come out. Come out now.

The poisonous new cult of NHS worship will cease. Christians, thrust aside your spineless, grovelling bishops and re-enter your churches. Break the doors down if necessary. Leave them open so that all may come in. I will defend the faith in which I was brought up and in whose name I was crowned.
If you are not of the Christian faith, return to your own holy places and worship in them as your faith demands. If you have no religion, at least try to be honest in your unbelief.

Schools and universities will reopen exactly as they were before. Teachers will teach and pupils will learn, without surrendering to imaginary terrors. Parents and teachers will work together so that children may grow up honest, courageous and willing to take necessary risks. There will be hard work, hard play, gravity, laughter, and genuine debate.

People will return to their jobs and work for their money. They will not allow themselves to be bullied into a grossly stupid and irrational way of behaving which assumes that all other human beings are deadly enemies.
Having worked hard and honestly, make the best of your leisure time. Re-open facilities in your towns and use them. Be cautious where caution is needed, but use your common sense to discern when it is not. Celebrate life, not death. Go out into the country, and into the parks of our cities. Tear down threatening notices and remove barriers. Take possession of national parks. Take back what is yours.

Eat, drink and be merry. Do not shrink from your fellow human beings.

Now take a look around you and see what you, with your cowardice and inertia, have made of this country. It is up to you to restore it. I am old, but I have seen hard times and in my heart and mind I shall be with you. Together we will walk into the light.

    ************
    And then I woke up.

      My nightmares are practically true:

      (1) Tory MP’s who support the brainwashing of children with propaganda about Climate Change, causing 20 percent of British children to suffer from nightmares about global warming.

      (2) Tory MP’s claim that the best achievements of this Tory Government is a massive increase in Welfare.

      (3) Tory MP’s being investigated by the CIA, due to being paid by the Chinese Communist Party for the Huawei contract.

      (4) Tory MP’s being paid by traffickers and the French to help illegal immigrants cross the Channel.

      (5) Tory MP’s helping the US Democratic Party beat Donald Trump.

      (6) Tory MP’s getting the police to intimidate Brexit voters.

Coronavirus outbreak: Reporter’s gift of shoes to migrant goes viral…? Really?

    —–

Or…the fact a reporter gave a complete stranger his shoes probably means he is now actually viral.

They all got the bus anyway – So he probably sold the shoes ????

This is Sage scientific advice from the 4th of March setting out the various scenarios from doing nothing to complete lockdown.

    c19-chart.jpg

The government is telling us that we need to keep the lockdown going to prevent a second wave…but you can see that it is the lockdown which creates the second wave…the lockdown just delays the inevitable.

By far the better option would have been to use moderate measures, such as hand washing and the vulnerable groups acting with caution, erm, staying alert to the dangers, and accepting we would get deaths occuring…note it results in same number of deaths as full lockdown but without the economic and other deadly consequences[which was the gvernment’s first choice]..or go for more stringent measures but not full lockdown whch would seem to be the best of both worlds[assuming the economy was still allowed to operate]….but Boris caved in to media pressure and imposed full lockdown with the inevitable and dire consequences which were totally unnecessary.

BBC local radio : The Make F-all Difference Desk ?
“Since when did BBC local radio become a place to get rid of all your junk ?”
A phone-in punter asked the other day when the presenter kept reading out requests from listeners who wanted to get rid of trampolines and medical mattresses etc.

In March a BBC local radio presenter wrote in the NUJ magazine
a proud article about the BBC Make A Difference Desk that they do every half hour, offering a platform for people to air their lockdown needs.
He credited his BecTU union colleagues of course.

OK the BBC have a lot of these “we made a difference” stories
and are proclaiming a new age for the BBC.
but is this the real world or their bubbleworld ?

In the towns and villages around me each has its own community Facebook page.
So if anyone had a need they could meet it quickly through them.
There is no reason for us to contact the BBC BIG CITY radio station.
So it is NOT true that if the BBC big city radio station didn’t exist community needs wouldn’t get met.
Cos besides the commercial radio station, local social media is already very effective.

    BBC 1983
In a way I did turn to the BBC. Shown on Wednesday, my favourite TV show of the week was actually made by the BBC in 1983. It was called “The White Mans Grave”. It was about the battle between five old White Men and two nasty White Women. All five White Men lost the battle, two reverted to childhood with one asking a Woman if her husband would come out to play. The husband then ended up being pushed home in a pram which fell down some steps. The two married White Men then ended up in the Grave before the three single White Men, who went to the Grave many years latter.

I sometimes wonder if these MPs are really in the real world or perhaps they hate Cummings as well.

…. I’m only viewing the MSM through twitter and the like and was trying to recall the last time this happened .

I think it was the period just before Diana Spencer-Windsor died in a French underpass ….

Sometimes I think people forget what led up to her death and only the national madness which took over afterwards – which I am proud to say I never caught .

i will not watch it. It is clear that the BBC and Sky and the MSM of the progressive left are working to undermine the government and so weaken it that my country is unable to function. That in my book is as close to treason as you can get. Cummings is just an excuse.
Now by weakening the government the MSm and the BBC directly threaten my family and my neighbours. WE collectively face as grave a crisis as any in our history. Now we know the extent of the forces ranged against us.

I think Boris needs to challenge the nonsense that all rules should apply equally to the government as to the public.

The public are not running the country. They are not trying to find a way through the crisis. They can go home on a Friday at 5 pm and put their feet up for the weekend. And how will the country gain from people in government forfeiting their jobs on technicalities?

This is all about the seditious BBC and others baying for blood and hoping to shout ‘gotcha’ and nothing to do with supporting the nation through the crisis.

There is plenty to criticise the government for, but the BBC and fellow travellers are totally pathetic and small-minded in choosing Cummings as a topic rather than bigger issues.

The utterly predictable and incredibly boring media, led by the loathsome bbc propaganda machine, have grabbed hold of the Cummings trip issue, almost ignoring all else.
Their true colours are showing very clearly. They are not really interested in health issues, or the ‘British people’ they drone on about, because it’s ‘get Boris’ time (Cummings is merely the vehicle to get at him). I fear this will drag on endlessly, given the media mindset.
They should have the courage to state their true intentions, instead of pretending that they are concerned about the welfare of Britain. Or, for that matter, about the Cummings trip.
