    Eyoop!

    Morning everybody!

Lots of Ms Truss’s ‘insisting’, ‘resisting calls’ and a “committed” from the awful bbc; they never give up do they!

What the UK really needs is a broadcaster which supports the place, not tries to be clever and tear it apart.

Maxincony is keen to call bigots out, well, this is where equality and diversity shite has led us to :

“Bullied, beaten and driven out of her school: Girl, 14, became a pariah after asking if people who weren’t black could be victims of racism during a class debate on Black Lives Matter

Clumps of her hair had been pulled out.

Her face and body were bruised, her lip swollen. So severe were the injuries to her legs, she was unable to walk for a fortnight.

But as bad as the physical battering was, its aftermath had more far-reaching and pernicious consequences: friends of Becky’s 14-year-old assailant had filmed the attack on their smartphones and posted it online like some grotesque badge of honour.

A montage of photos, insults and accusations was posted online by an unknown troll and viewed 1,400 times.

Even when Becky’s life became so unbearable that she was forced in February of this year to go to a new school, the ‘racist’ smear preceded her.

Andrea recalls how it all began with that innocent comment during an informal classroom debate about BLM.

‘Afterwards, Becky was cornered in the toilets, her bag was grabbed and her face was shoved under the hand drier. A boy told her she had been ‘cancelled’ for being racist.’

Quite simply, Becky instantly became a social pariah.

In September 2021, in a queue for the Covid vaccination, a student told Becky: ‘I hope the vaccine kills you.’ By October, Becky had started to receive a string of texts and emails from anonymous accounts.

The torrent was sickening: ‘Racist little whore,’ ‘F*** you b***h,’ ‘F*** your Mama and your kids,’ ran a few of them.

‘Around this time, too, Becky had a ball deliberately thrown at her head with great force in PE. And a photo of her, sitting alone, looking at her phone, was circulated on social media, with the tag ‘racist’.

‘She was taking refuge in a toilet cubicle when some girls banged on the door and said if she didn’t come out they’d beat up her sister.

this particular girl, known for her violence, laid into Becky, punching and kicking her to the ground, pulling her hair out. She was known for posting videos of herself fighting other girls and her friends filmed the attack on Becky. The film of her being beaten up is still being circulated and there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it.’

Forced to change school, ‘We got a call from Becky,’ recalls Andrea. ‘She was crying, inconsolable. She said, ‘I just knew this would happen.’ She’d bumped into the worst group of pupils from her old school.

‘They followed her from shop to shop. She and her friends tried to find sanctuary in one shop, but they were kicked out.

‘Then the bullies threw a drink over her. They started videoing the altercation, taunting her, hitting her until she fell to the ground, then picking up a bin and upending it on her head.

police interviewed the girls under caution. But they were juveniles. There weren’t prosecuted. They only got a formal caution.’

Gotcha Nord Stream and the ultimate cheesecake edition

We begin with one of those instances of mixed messages in the media today. Surprisingly, given the supposed broad spectrum of political leaning in our press, a rather rare occurrence.

The progressive Guardian is pleased to promote: Great walks of Europe

Whereas, the conservative Telegraph cautions: The battle for Mont Blanc. Summit in danger of becoming Disneyland

There’s apparently no danger of any peace summit in this corner of Europe: Nato will help Ukraine recapture annexed territories

His Majesty’s The Very Own Daily Express “United with the people of Ukraine” is our warmonger in chief, defining for us our apparent casus belli: Putin rails against ‘satanic’ West after seizing Ukrainian land

So, if I’ve got this right, there’s two issues here – to borrow from the tabloidese vernacular – Vlad’s a mad lad: Putin’s still a nutjob (Daily Star); plus there’s the sphere of influence issue: Putin raises nuclear stakes for Nato by annexing captured Ukrainian regions (FT) – like we knew he was going to.

Escalation of war. Putin signs ‘accession treaties’ (Guardian) – when will the lefty Gruan at last come out against the war? We’re waiting on that one.

As the likes of Biden, Boris, Liz Truss and the Daily Express – great minds think alike (?) – dream of ultimate victory – what does a win for us look like? I’m guessing it’s in the form of the rainbow flag being raised above the Kremlin…

One can’t help but recall 1982. There was this recently elected female Tory leader attempting significant economic reforms, she was beset by personal vilification and bitter political battles. Then came the – some said welcome – distraction of an unprovoked foreign invasion. Oh, but the clarion calls for peace talks, UN intervention, Peruvian or yet Chilean mediation… anything but war.

How the peacenik Labour MP Tam Dalyell railed against the torpedoing of the Belgrano – lawyerishly insisting she was outside the exclusion zone and anyway was steaming away in a perfectly peaceful manner.

Where now the Labourite top forensic brains questioning western provocations? If we see any torpedoing of piplines (say) then it obviously wasn’t the good guys what done it… one alludes there to that infamous Sun headline “It’s The Sun Wot Won It”

By the way, research in the dusty archives reveals the Sun’s other iconic Gotcha screamer shared a black and white frontpage with the sub headline: Union boycotts war

What of our present day trades unions? Our Casey Joneses are taking some more odd days off from their steamin’ an’ a rollin’ (the rail unions do in fact spare a passing thought for foreign affairs – something to do with Spanish Practices) whilst Pop-It-In Pete (TM Larry Grayson) would rather we don’t receive those Christmas cards from our aunt Betty in Sidcup. If that strike drags on too long our letterboxes may heal up in a similar fashion to the way in which our NHS is hoping going forward sick patients will cura te ipsum (heal thyselves) without troubling our nationalised health institution unduly.

The Guardian is ramarkably frank about its editorial commentary contents and opinion pieces this morning: Free inside Cheese. I jest of course – this is a food feature: From Stilton Soup to the ultimate cheesecake

BBC: Iran protests: ‘Nine Europeans’ arrested in latest unrest… Intelligence officers detained people deemed to be “agents of foreign spy organisations” either at protests or “behind the scenes”, local media said. – oh but they were just over there on holiday… visiting relatives…

The Spy Who Loved Me? Confessions of a mistress John le Carré and me (The Times) – espionage based kiss and tell story

Win your mortgage paid for a year (Daily Mail) – that’s quite some financial commitment the Mail has chanced there – I hope they’re sufficiently insured.

Car firm dumps queue-jump star. Phil £1m ads axed (The Sun) – this is We Buy Any Car (but not, apparently, any star) and the former face of the company, Phillip Schofield, 60. Having kicked the tires and looked dubiously at the milometer: A source said: “There’s clearly a feeling in the company that he is not the right fit for the future”

    Talking of faces that fit…

One had one of those double take moments taking a quick glance at The Sun’s whopping big frontpage promotion for: Free Wold Cup Qatar 2022 Panini album and stickers. Inside with your TV mag – we note example collectable stickers featuring international footballing heroes such as Bruno Fernandes (Portugal) and Christian Eriksen (Denmark) plus the mug shot of Jack Grealish (England): Jack Grealish pictured back behind the wheel for the first time since he was banned from driving for reversing his £80k Range Rover into two parked cars after lockdown party in 2020 (Daily Mail) – but I diverge from the point. Pictured alongside these global soccer luminaries we notice the similarly sized and proportionately framed portrait of the incongruous: Graham Norton (Yes, I’m married…) – that’s right, we guessed he played for the other side.

Does one have to lick the back of Panini stickers, or are they self-adhesive?

Sometimes I have to wonder, do newspaper editors ever perchance glance at Mr AsISeeIt’s commentary? Promoting a typical female celeb journo angst feature the Guardian reflects: Marina Hyde ‘I look back at 2016 and think oh get over yourself, luv’ – coulda been me said that!

There aren’t many programmes that I regularly watch on the BBC, but Gardeners’ World is one of them. I never miss it. Last night they entertained us for an entire hour with a lecture about “the climate catastrophe” Oh great…

The rather comely, Frances Tophill, was seen scrunching along a pebbled beach looking forlornly for hardy flora that might survive in the harsh drought conditions we’re going to be experiencing. There were some raggedy sea kales and other rough looking little things that grow on rocks. To be honest I wasn’t overly keen, but apparently, with all this dry weather, that’s all we’ll be able to grow.

Later there was a pleasant young chap showing us a technique to irrigate his tomatoes. You know, I never experience any problems doing this, I just pick up a watering can, job done, but…He informed us that almost any day now there won’t be enough water to waste on such things and we’ll have to adapt to the changing conditions. Crikey…

Then it was back to the delightful Frances, who was chatting to an earnest young fellow all about drought resistant plants for the garden. “Yes”, said the serious young man, “we used to grow all manner of plants here that we can’t anymore; it’s just so hot and dry, they don’t survive. We’ve had to adapt”

While watching this I occasionally looked through the living room window. It was belting down. The rain hammered on my double glazing so hard I thought it was going to force its way in.

Already this morning I’ve had a little tour of my garden. All of the old-fashioned cottage plants are as healthy as can be. Everywhere is lush and healthy and looking lovely. The lawn is green and spongey. The borders are vibrant.

You know, I don’t think I’ll worry too much about the coming drought…

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/crispin-odey-says-remainers-are-to-blame-for-the-run-on-the-pound-335955/amp/

There is a wider issue of course. The failure of Remainers to accept the result of the Brexit referendum damaged our exit from the EU. The BBC, MSM, Supreme Court ensured that the EU had the upper hand for about four years, delaying trade negotiations instead of Britain being able to move forward. The role of the BBC was particularly damaging. Millions still believe that the BBC is unbiased, the manipulation of the Brexit debate and then it’s participation in subverting Democracy was key to Remoaner power.
Then Labour/BBC drove the Covid agenda forcing the Government into damaging lockdowns.

    And the the Ukraine war.

Then we have the anti Boris campaign. Did anyone in the Left/BBC/Labour actually understand that Boris was our leader, our figurehead recognised throughout the World? He was Britain, the attacks on Boris ensured that he became unable to govern.

I was talking to a local businessman who makes big things from steel. He was complaining that as soon as things start to look better, the media do their very best to pull the whole country down and ruin it. Just as they have done with Truss. The steel he uses was just coming down in price after the COVID fiasco and now it’s gone right back up again.

And of course the BBC are a major player in all of this. They want to destroy Brexit-Britain and take us back into the EU under Labour. They got rid of Boris (who had popular support) and replaced him with Mavis out of Coronation Street.

Now they are doing exactly the same to try and ruin the Conservatives as a whole. Just today I received an email for a petition demanding a general election.

The BBC (and all the other remainers) don’t care one bit about what damage or misery they cause with their political games. That’s the REAL face of the Left. They are extreme hypocrites.

Martin Daubney might be right that they are, but it doesn’t make Truss and Kwamikahsi’s budget any more palatable.

You might not know, but the BoE have only comitted to buying bonds for two weeks, after that it could be yet another financial crisis.

Now we still have an issue with pension providers still in crisis, government spending out of control, and an evil witch giving tax breaks to high earners most of whom are in the medja, or sports and would never vote Tory in a million years, whilst telling those less fortunate they are facing cuts to fund her insanity.

Worse than that she is trying to pump more money into an already over heated economy pushing up inflation to over 20% next year, with a hopelessly inept and timid BoE governor and MPC failing to increase interest rates sufficiently to get a grip of the nettle.

I have to agree that the scrapping of the higher rate tax was something of a shock to me and presumed it is part of a strategy which my mortal brain cannot comprehend the longer term implications and consequences.

But it absolutely does not give the BBC the right to use it as a pretext to destroy the government in order to get their favoured party elected and hopefully rejoin the EU. The Tories were given a mandate by the election and ‘democracy’ means we get to vote them out next time if we don’t like it. The BBC should just be reporting what happens – not acting like immature lefty student activists. OFCOM have completely failed in their duty.

‘New chief of OFCOM pledges changes will be made to ensure it doesn’t happen again’

When its abundantly clear to everybody right now what they are up to. Of course those leftys who agree with it will claim it was all fair and above board because they are all monumental hypocrites.

    BBC headline for today::

‘Liz Truss admits disruption after tax cut pledges’

‘admits’ infers she did something wrong and has eventually confessed to it.

This is now beyond ridiculous. The BBC are going after Truss in exactly the same way as they went after Boris. They have been relentlessly running negative headlines all week and to keep the momentum going, they are now making them up from non-stories like this.

The BBC are now a very serious threat to our democracy with their partisan agenda. They should have been reigned in by OFCOM over ‘partygate’ and now they are doing it with complete confidence because they know OFCOM approve it.

Strange thing but looking at the front pages of the newspapers this morning, the thought crossed my mind that the police would much rather be out looking important trying to find a body in a closed murder case, for which the suspects have been tried and imprisoned, rather than dealing with current burglaries, sexual assaults on young girls by ‘groups of men’ in Rochdale, Rotherham, and elsewhere and so on.

Just watched two editions of John Anderson in Conversation with Dennis Prager and then with Victor DavisHansen available on You Tube. Two highly respected right of centre commentators.

Both of them believe that we are teetering on the brink of societal collapse, that the liberal left globalists despise the West and want to see it destroyed and are increasingly in a position to do so. They provide an impressive list of the lunatic policies of the Biden administration.

They see a way in which conservatives can fight back and reverse Wokism but it must start in the USA and depends on presentation to the American voters of a positive vision of the future and a realistic programme to begin that journey back to sanity , order and prosperity.

They caution against spending too much time seeking retributive justice for the illegalities practised by the Democrats against Trump . They view this as wasting time when we are so close to the cliff edge. Therefore either Trump puts the past injustices practised against him behind him and focuses on leading America forward or he must be replaced by De Santis , Cotton or Pompeo.

The question which wasn’t asked was why if the liberal elite so clearly despise the working class , and say so very openly do significant numbers of that class still vote Democrat? Nor was election fixing and how to stop it discussed. Two very important topics next month and in 2024.

If you watch the “round table” / panel of conservatives that Dinesh de Souza had to elicit conservative reaction to 2000 Mules (inc. Dennis Praeger) you’ll see what an utterly gutless bunch many Republicans are. (VDH is a real pearl among swine)

The things that characterise the Democrat / Deep State “alliance” absolutely includes a total disrespect for boundaries and I’d argue that until retributive justice for the illegalities practised by the Democrats (not just against Trump!) are addressed then Democrat behaviour is simply not going to improve.

There was historically more middle ground (and pragmatism) in US politics from what I’ve seen ( imho Tulsi Gabbard is a testament to that) – and the ever ratcheting hate that the “liberal globalist leftists” have injected has polarised and driven people apart.

This is a war that will have to be fought on a bunch of different fronts.

The ignoring of boundaries is, imho right up there – Biden’s string pullers think the can do whatever they like – and up to now they’ve been proven correct in that assumption – this has to change.

Laying the putrid antics of the present administration at Joe (senile) & Kamala’s (imbecile) doors looks to be the plan and the true perps get to move on unmolested….

Yes I o would like to see the guilty men and woman put in jail after a fair trial. I think we could be looking at several hundred guilty of serious offences. But the argument presented is that voters will be more attracted to a campaign which provides a positive vision , a road map, to get the cost of living down, the streets safe, their children to be sensibly educated , immigration under control, than they would to a campaign that focused more on the undoubted crimes of the past.

            Beltane,
Trump appointed a hell of a lot of judges . The problem is that the left / Democrats choose to have the cases they bring against the right and particularly Trump supporters in jurisdictions that have corrupt politicised leftist judges. When the Republicans regain power they will ensure that the cases that they bring will be tried in front of proper unbiased non political judges and the cases judged on facts.
Don’t misunderstand me , I think that unless the wrong doing if the Democrats in the period 2015 to present is exposed and the perpetrators prosecuted the American public will never regain their faith in their democracy nor in their judicial system. But for the forthcoming campaigns the public have more urgent , more immediate issues on their minds.

Whilst I had some sympathy with this guy it was unfortunately another example of bias. Not presenting things factually and VD coming in with sharp intakes of breath, heavy sighs and a generally greasy attitude each time the guy spoke or when she ever so gently probed him with leading questions ..‘What will you do if Universal Credit is not increased in line with inflation’ … What if…..
I really should but just cannot believe how low that organisation stoops at times.

Why? Because he/they are desperate for a deal with Iran, over oil and over nuclear capability.

BOTH OF WHICH crises are entirely of Biden’s making.

What a useless, rotten, corrupt, inept President.

No sympathy with them. They had a revolution against the Shah because they wanted to be forced to wear Islamic dress, and then when they got what they were fighting for they found they didn’t like that much either!

A bit like here when the sheeple think it might be time for a change and then every time things get worse, they are and can never be content with what is the best outcome always believing something else might be better when it plainly isn’t.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-europe-63100522

    “In short, not a lot.
In its announcement, Ukraine’s security service SBU said the civilians in the convoy of vehicles hit by Russians in north-eastern Ukraine were shot at close range in the “grey zone” – the term used by Ukraine’s military to describe the no-man’s land.

But it did not specify neither the exact day of the attack, nor the direction the convoy was travelling when it came under fire.

The SBU said its officers were now investigating what they describe as a “war crime” committed by Russian troops..

How about just explaining what the purpose of a convoy is?
Isn’t a series of single vehicles a little bit less noticeable than a big group.

I have a question .. How come the left can organise stuff like this and it gets loads of publicity and people attending with pre made banners and posters etc yet when the right try to organise anything ( like last weekend’s anti immigration demo ) it never really works out. Is it just the success of the ” establishment” making sure the right can never get to air their opinion or is it more ?

Slightly different take on BBC bias.

First item on news. Todays rail strike.
Cue the usual voxpop. A lady who had breast cancer cannot get to the London Marathon. Sob.
A flat-capped gent was 100% behind the strikers. Up the workers.

But 90% of journeys on a Saturday are not by rail. So the vast majority of the public, unseen, unheard, were barely affected. As usual.
    Why were they not interviewed?
Mr Sluff went to the supermarket today BY CAR as he normally does, in order to bring back four heavy bagfuls of shopping and…..he was not interviewed by the BBC about the rail strikes. He managed to avoid the bus lanes and six sets of unco-ordinated traffic lights causing cars to sit stationary while no vehicles came out of any side roads.

Just to make absolutely sure you get the message, BBC London featured a demo. Featuring Mick Lynch of the RMT as well as placards from the Socialist Party. Has the SWP re- branded?

BBC playing the anti-Tory card regarding a possible re-valuation of benefits which would be lower than inflation.

But the reason inflation is so high is energy prices. And the government has announced massive energy subsidies. In October alone there will be a £400 payment and those on low incomes will get more over the next few months. In money not a percentage.

So there is no case at all to re-rate benefits by the overall inflation rate. Otherwise people will get double bubble support for energy bills, ultimately to be paid for by the rest of us.

Strangely, the BBC did not mention that. But are they clever enough to even recognise it as an inconvenient truth?

    • Sluff says:

Well I never. The BBC has helpfully provided the following information.
      https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61592496

      I quote.

All UK households will be given a £400 discount on their energy bills from October.

Two payments totalling £650 are also being made to more than eight million low-income households who receive the following benefits:
      Universal Credit
      income-based Jobseekers Allowance
      income-related Employment and Support Allowance
      Income Support
      working tax credit
      child tax credit
      pension credit

And yet there is uproar because these groups might not get a fully inflation protected benefits increase. A story the BBC are also keen to feature. Unbelievable.

You almost get the idea that the right hand of the BBC don’t know what the left hand is doing. Conveniently or otherwise.

According to the BBC’s Moneybox the ‘crisis’ of mortage rate rises began….last Friday…budget day.

    Hmmmm….we all know that’s a total lie…..even the Guardian knows it…from August….

‘Key UK mortgage rate passes 4% for the first time since 2013’
‘The price of new mortgages was rising even faster than UK interest rates, adding to the dilemma faced by many thinking about taking out a new loan on a home.’

Oh…and people were rushing to get mortgages before rates rose even more and so banks and building societies withdrew some products…..oh…like now? Thought that was an unprecedented reaction caused by the bad budget!?

‘We have seen lenders withdraw parts of, or entire, product ranges, with a number citing the pause in lending being due to unprecedented demand,”
She said banks and building societies needed to manage their service levels after an influx of applications “as borrowers have rushed to secure deals before rates have a chance to climb even further”. ‘

Rates rising even further…how could that be? Are they psychic…how could they know a crazy and ruinous budget was about to descend upon us? Or is it just that the world is in turmoil and not just Britain as the BBC likes to pretend?

Soooo….mortgage crisis not caused by the budget?…and never mind rates are 6% in the US and rising fast….damn our bad bad budget was so influential no?

5 years later and out of the army, he made contact with the Spanish courts and said he still couldn’t pay the fine but would come over and serve the time.
He arrived, was taken to the jail and in 6 days they sorted out paperwork which put him on a 2 months suspended sentence.

We don’t get any pictures of who attacked him of course. And we don’t go anywhere near any reasons why they might have deliberately targeted him.

    Here they are:
    New-Project-6-1-800x445r1.png

And while browsing that story, I see another set of enrichments has been jailed for murder in a completely bizarre case:

    _126893494_mugshots_29_9_22.jpg.webp

Apparently they started shooting at a rival gang who shot back and killed their friend. But THEY have been convicted of his murder because they ‘knew’ the other enrichment’s would shoot back. And they haven’t even caught the one who actually fired the gun.

How absolutely bizarre. Sometimes I don’t recognise my country any more.

Of course I don’t recall seeing any of these stories on the front page. Either they went straight to ‘regions’ or they slipped down the side-panes during the night. The BBC don’t want us to see that kind of news.

But I did see the story up there on the front page about how it’s apparently racist to mistake one black man for another. A good example of how the label is thrown around like confetti when it suits.

.. Many millionaires have zero or negative income so will not pay less INCOME tax
yet will pay same or more tax this coming year

Meanwhile I know people on low incomes, whose income has risen cos of all the new grants.

        I checked the OP’s Reddit
Yes the young black guys were his friends
A few minutes later they were arrested in possession of stolen mobile phones

” the citizen’s arrest didn’t last long enough to hand him over directly to the police, but he was caught around the corner just a few minutes later.
He was kept there for around 3-4 mins, and the police arrived on the scene after about another 3 mins.
He had gone and hid in a Pret apparently.”
