Yet another case of mistaken identity, terrible errors and Sheikh news with false data edition

An alpha male culture prevalent in City firms was a catalyst for the 2008 financial crisis – so the Guardian maintained in 2018. I thought it was the government-sponsorsed over-selling of sub prime mortgages and their re-packaging as complex derivatives – but what do I know?

If the leftwing press believe gross financial malfeasance can really be traced back to ethnic and sexual indentity, then given the current crisis, to be on the safe side we’d best not appoint any more black chancellors of the exchequer, or for that matter, female PMs – happily there’s no worries of that happening with any female Labour Party leader any time soon – Sir Keir is about the stalest and palest of stuffed white shirts imaginable – I jest of course.

The colour blind Daily Mirror can’t even tell one black man in a suit from another: That isn’t me, Kwarteng tells Mirror over wrong image… The Mirror newspaper has apologised for a “terrible error” after it mistook another man for Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng in an online story… instead pictured Bernard Mensah, the president of international for Bank of America (BBC) – just another pale stale evil banker? Scrub that… another shady banker?

Kwasi shouldn’t complain. Normally when a black chap is mixed up in a supposed case of mistaken indentity on a London street he ends up shot to death on the pavement. Kwasi just got knifed (politically speaking) I can just imagine the headlines now: A* GCSE economics student, Kwasi Kwarteng, 47, of Staines (big up the Staines Massive) Promising tax expert, prospective financial genious, just starting his apprenticeship with the Treasury… police say he had no known connections to conservative gangs… his aunt has paid tribute… a Drill video just posted on social media has memorialised him…

Now if Kwasi actually wore that Lenny Henry-esque red nose to work in the way the Daily Star portrays him (in the spirit of equality, they always drew one on blondie Boris) then there’d be no mistaking him for any other senior financial diversity hire.

A man with the initials KK has obviously gone clandestinely two thirds of the way towards white supremacy and support for the Ku Klux Klan – as Labour MP Rupa Huq could tell you – he’s just “superficially black” – I tend to agree with her – this whole race thing is just skin deep.

Not every dark-skinned chap you come across on the street – or in the Square Mile – should be mistaken for our Kwasi – just ask our Garry: Gary Lineker says he suffered racist abuse as a footballer because of “darkish skin” (Daily Mirror June 2022) – kick it out Gary!

Or how about: Strickly tanning! Star’s new look written into soap (Sunday Express) – that’s not the only extraneous item being written into our soaps: Big Media is turning into Big Brother… the deeply chilling report commissioned by Sky and authored by the Behavioural Insights Team… its title sends a shiver down the spine: The Power of TV: Nudging Viewers to Decarbonise their Lifestyles. (Brendon O’Neill writing for Spiked 2021); Soap operas are best vehicle for product placement on TV (Marketing Week); EastEnders is back, with added face masks and social distancing (Wired September 2020)

We’ve obviously still got a very long way to go in terms of equality and getting the right decisions made at the top – of course we need more economies driven by people of colour and foreign affairs presided over by women: A world with gender equality would not push for endless war (Fortune Magazine March 8, 2022)

UK will match military aid spent on Ukraine next year, Liz Truss pledges (Sky News)

The Sunday Telegraph would have us adopt austerity of the most puritanical form: Sober October. Tips to stop drinking for a month – and beyond – I’m all for a bit healthy abstention but that Buzz Lightyear-like “and beyond” sounds a tad harsh.

There’s no such self-restraint or denial promoted in the Sunday Times: Sex and caviar – is the suggestive recipe on offer with their news review feature: My affair with John le Carré – there’s a spy who certainly wasn’t left out in the cold

Kwasi Kwarteng attended a private champaign reception hours after delivering his mini-budget, where hedge fund managers who might gain from a crash in the pound egged him on to keep going with his plans (Sunday Times)

Nassim Taleb, former option trader and risk analyst who penned the classic The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable advised readers never to refuse an inviation to a party. You never know who you might meet and what opportunities might come as a consequence.

However: Truss ‘advised King to stay away from climate summit’ Charles wanted to deliver a speech at Cop27 meeting… …but after consulting with officials he agreed not to go (Sunday Times) – Quite right too. Why give authoritative apparent official endorsement to eco crack pots with damaging dangerous pipe dreams?

Liz Truss to attend first meeting of European Political Community… Inaugural summit of EU initiative that aims to unite Europe on issues such as security and energy to take place in Prague… Proposed by French president Emmanuel Macron in May, the EPC was later endorsed by the EU, which is now organising the event. (Guardian) – perhaps Ms Truss ought to have taken some of her own advice there?

Speaking of pipe dreams… we refer to the official White House statement press release dated February 23, 2022: Statement by President Biden on Nord Stream 2… I have directed my administration to impose sanctions on Nord Stream 2… As I have made clear, we will not hesitate to take further steps if Russia continues to escalate.

Biden Says Nord Stream Leak Was ‘Deliberate Act of Sabotage’ (Bloomberg) – he should know.

Outside of the western bubble the world sometimes takes our news with a pinch of salt: Biden is ‘obliged’ to answer if US is behind Nord Stream gas leaks: Moscow (a rare appearance hereabouts for Alarabiya News the Dubai-based outlet which favours the Saudis)

From fake (Sheikh) news to false data…

When there is no data to back up the pro- collectivist , anti-car narrative, they just make some up.

If Liz Truss had any brains she would realise that private transport hugely benefits the economy and therefore following policies which ensure it stays stationary in traffic jams for as long as possible ‘to encourage modal shift’ are as insane as the politicians and especially lobotomised council officials who advocate them.

The very top news headline in the world today (according to the BBC):

‘We should have laid the ground better on tax cuts, says Truss’

What chance does a Prime Minister have when every single word they say is being weighed up to see if it can be presented in a specific way to reflect badly on them ?.

I’m not a fan of Truss but this level of nit-picking day after day by the BBC is just outrageous. You can be 100% sure they would do it to Starmer.

Why do any of them agree to be interviewed ?.

    • Thoughtful says:

To be fair to the BBC this is Truss’s play to make it all better, it’s not that the budget was catasrophically wrong, it’s that we didn’t explain it first.

If you buy into that you are a moron!

The real media attack this morning is that KameKwasi attended a party laid of for him by city bankers, where he drank champagne (ooh champagne big red flag to the medja), and the implication is that this was a reward for his pro city budget.

They don’t state when this had been organised or whether Sunak was previously invited as chancellor, obviously these things aren’t organised at the drop of a hat and there is almost certainly no connection between the budget and the party, but that isn’t how the media are portraying it.

Question : Who introduced this idiotic Woke doctrine into the police farce ?………

This may be the answer –
“In England and Wales, outside of Greater London, police and crime commissioners are directly elected officials charged with securing efficient and effective policing of their police area. They are not warranted police officers, although they appoint and hold to account their chief constable. The first police and crime commissioners were elected in November 2012, with the lowest electorate turnout ever in England and Wales. Historically the title “commissioner” has denoted the professional chief police officer of certain police forces, and that is still the case within Greater London, with the Commissioner of the City of London Police and the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis. Both these commissioners are appointed, not elected, and since the 1950s have been career police officers (as opposed to the previous practice of appointing former British Army officers). Although they were technically justices of the peace until the 1970s,[42] the commissioners have always worn a similar uniform to police officers, and have been treated similarly in terms of pay and terms of service.”
        Wikipedia

So, what’s wrong with British Army officers?
I would suggest that they were the ideal candidate , wouldn’t you ?

You have to laugh at the stupidity of the Germans who even in the midst of a crisis which is just begining believe the way forward is even more of the same idiocy which got them into this mess in the first place.

Just refresh your memory the reason Russia cut all gas supplies to Germany is their enthusiasm for sanctions and a price cap on Russian energy, gas and oil which the dopey German fantasist political elites thought would allow them to force Russia to sell their gas to them at lower prices!

We have the truly bizzare situation of a Green party loon Robert Habek in charge of Germanys energy and he is opposed to nuclear and coal fired generation!

Being an arch fantasist he boasted not so long ago that Germany would be able to get through the Winter because it was ahead of his storage target and had 90% of the total gas storage required already.

Now he is admitting Germany might well run out of gas this Winter as Germans are silly people and not reducing their usage at all and are continuing to superheat their homes even this early in the Autumn.

Germany has at least been a little more sensible that British loon Liz Truss with subsidies for unlimited use of energy Germany will only subsidise 80% of the average cost of a homes energy bill in a bid to reduce consumption which hasn’t apparantly worked.

This is a new Nazism, where the target has changed but the ideology remains the same. The Jews are of course still in their sights of course, but now it’s also the White people who are being blamed for all the worlds ills, and the Tories are so cowardly they are allowing this to happen.

The Left are returning to this like a dog returning to its own vomit, because the Frankfurt school of Marxism saw the techniques the Nazis used to supress the populace and adopted those technqiues for themselves, and promulgated them when they moved to America, what they did not expect was a return to the Socialist values of the Nazis of old, and at least one of the Jurgen Habermas has been sounding warnings of their return to Fascist values for some time now.

In August Steve Laws put in an FOI asking how many illegals came in via the Channel Tunnel. The HO said they held the data but it was ‘not in the public interest’ to give out that information. Steve subsequently requested a review. The HO then said it got the original response wrong but it is now claiming that the information requested in relation to the Tunnel is not collated either by the MOD or the HO.
They are either lying or the problem is far worse than originally thought.
It seems they are happy for publicity about the boat arrivals to divert from those arriving via other routes.

Much to my dismay Mrs Concrete suggested a shopping trip today. As there was the promise of lunch out, I immediately agreed and we duly set off to our large Designer outlet. It is a trip we have made many times and the lure of many shops, restaurants, bars, The Spinnaker Tower (which may give a clue) plus other interesting sights proved too much.

Parking has never been a problem, but today we struggled and were eventually rewarded after a trip twice round the huge car park. The shops were ‘heaving with happy customers’ and whilst there were many sales on, in some stores till queues were 10 or twelve deep. I began to think I had a case of the Rip Van Winkles and had woken up for the January sales, but no it was October and I reminded myself we were in a deep cost of living crisis.

After fighting through the crowds, laden with shopping I wondered what on earth was going on. People have energy bills and mortgages to pay, the cost of food is spiralling, yet here we are buying mainly luxury goods. One sales assistant I spoke to suggested it was just after the end of the month and ‘people have been paid’, whilst another merely said ‘It’s the weekend’.

Maybe it was the lure of purchasing extra layers of clothing to keep out the predicted Artic winter, which would seem sensible or perhaps the Beeb and other media have been lying to me. Surely not. I am very anxious for an explanation. By the way lunch in the crowded cafe was nice.

Remember this? You won’t because of course it never happened. Funny no one ever seems to protest at Labour Party Conferences. If they had the police would have arrested the protestors for breach of the peace and riotous assembly.

However, this type of disruption is happening now at the Conservative (not “Tory”) Party conference in Birmingham and the police just say – “Sorry, nothing we can do”. Complete opposite of what they said last year.

    https://www.itv.com/news/granada/2021-09-30/police-will-intervene-if-protesters-cause-disruption-at-tory-conference

    https://www.pcs.org.uk/news-events/news/join-protest-tory-party-conference

I wouldn’t be surprised if they manage to infiltrate the audience and storm the stage during Liz Truss’s address.

The MSM will spend more time on interviewing and reporting on the demonstrators and looking for negative comments from people like Gove than on the conference itself.

The valuation of GB News has more than halved after Discovery, the American
broadcast giant, dumped its stake in the news channel at a hefty discount.
Discovery, which has merged with Warner Bros, offloaded its holding in August for
£8 million, having initially bought its 25 per cent stake for £20 million, according to
accounts filed at Companies House by Discovery’s British division.
The share sale values the right-of-centre news channel, whose presenters include
the former Ukip leader Nigel Farage and former ITV star Eamonn Holmes, at £32
million, compared with £80 million when it launched in June last year.
The Brexiter hedge fund tycoon Sir Paul Marshall and Legatum, the investment
company founded by New Zealand billionaire Christopher Chandler, snapped up
Discovery’s stake and invested more money into the company. They invested
alongside Discovery upon the channel’s launch, which was marred by technical
glitches, lighting problems and executive departures. The veteran BBC broadcaster
Andrew Neil quit as GB News chairman three months after the launch, claiming it
“would have killed me if I’d carried on” as he criticised its approach and shift to the
right as it chased more viewers.
GB News said it had “successfully
    completed a £60 million series B raise.
The company is investing heavily in
    British journalism and is experiencing
    growth across all its audience
    platforms.”
