It’s a BBC interview with John Simpson looking like he has been stuffed and propped up in a chair.
However I cannot see a single part of it which looks like an interview. It’s one long tirade of warmongering rhetoric and Zelensky saying anything he likes without any question of what consequences it might imply.
Here’s the highlight of the whole interview:
‘he warned conceding land would mean Russia could “keep coming back”, while Western weapons would bring peace closer.’
Did Mr Simpson point out they could always keep coming back ?. Unless of course Russia are utterly defeated.
And did Mr Simpson ask how sending more weapons will bring peace closer ?. I think Hitler made the same mistake.
It seems Russia are mobilising for full-on war against the massive assistance Ukraine are getting with Western weapons. That sounds like more than a simple land-grab to me. It tells me they genuinely believe they are fighting for their long-term existence. Of course it isn’t as simple as that : they also want the resources they would gain. But when I watch what NATO are doing for a region which is not even a member and hasn’t contributed a penny, I can absolutely understand why Russia did not want them in Eastern Ukraine. It’s not much different from the Cuban Missile crisis in that respect.
How long it continues has nothing whatsoever to with Zelensky.
Once the public in the USA tire of funding it, they will tell Zelensky to start negotiating. And he will do it.
I still stick by my original statement a year ago that Russia intends to take the country to the dnieper river and stop there. There is no other logical dividing point for a hostile border.
And it’s not Putins war, it’s Russia’s war. They are right behind him, whatever the BBC tell us. As are a very large part of the rest of the world. They don’t trust the USA one bit.

They want total war and he is holding them back. Though they are getting to the point where it’s their only option. They are not going simply pull out of all Ukraine at this stage and if that’s what it takes to fight the weapons we are sending, they will do it.
The question is then what do the USA do when Ukraine are still losing. They are deciding what happens there now.

Lord Tony Hall to earn £532,000 as new BBC boss by drawing pension on top of salary
New BBC director-general,Tony Hall, has already been drawing his BBC pension for a year.
Doomwatch was a BBC1 TV sci-fi series screened way back in the early 1970s. The series was set in the then present day – think brightly coloured shirts, Edwardian-inspired bouffant hair (and that was just the men) with a young Robert Powell sporting a flamboyantly patterned cravat – those celebs turning out in their best retro Westwood gear for Vivienne’s memorial yesterday: Helena Bonham-Carter; Kate Moss; Victoria Beckham – would have loved it – London Fashion Week: Is the cost-of-living crisis fuelling creativity? (the BBC there, just asking) – but I digress.
The Doomwatch plot dealt with a scientific government agency led by Doctor Spencer Quist, played by John Paul (top fictional British boffins perforce require a mysterious name beginning with Q – think Quatermass from the 1950s and 007’s ‘Q‘). If I’ve lost the teenagers with talk of Doomwatch think Black Mirror for grandad, all without computers.
Perhaps I can win back those millennials and younger with the notion that the Doomwatch organisation led by Quist was responsible for investigating and combating various ecological and technological dangers. It was all a bit “How dare they!” as our Greta might say.
It’s a very modern media concern: Chemicals harm upper reaches of River Cam (‘i’); Alarm raised over scale of hospital sewage leaks (Guardian) – Ooh, Matron… we’re gonna need a bigger bedpan !
Doomwatch had the very sciency title: “Department for the Observation and Measurement of Scientific Work” DOMSW (?)
“We were set up to investigate any scientific research, Public or Private, which could possibly be harmful to Man.“ (thank you Wiki) – what a noble notion – we could perhaps have done with a real life version of that back in early 2020 or earlier – if you catch my drift?
But let’s cut to the chase and explain what I’m getting at here. This morning the Brexit-sceptic Financial Times frontpage – claiming pride of place in the BBC online press line-up with their top headline: Sunak gamble on Brexit endgame spurs warning from Eurosceptics – further carries their reguar featurette Datawatch
Doomwatch… Datawatch: The Doomsday Clock moves closer to midnight – this speculative shard of pseudo-scientific bunk purports to tell your cityboy broker audience the time to be precisely 11:58:30
Source: Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists – BOTAS (?)
The Doomsday clock which warns the public how close we are to destroying our world, has hit its closest point to midnight.
Experts believe that humanity is more destructive now than ever before, largely because of nuclear threats over Ukraine.
Oddly, it doesn’t feel as dangerous as – say – the Cuban missile crisis.
Our BBC don’t seem too keen to pour any oil on troubled waters, so to speak: Ukraine war: Zelensky rules out territory deal with Putin in BBC interview – despite: What is the energy price cap and what will happen to bills? (BBC)

The children I teach are indifferent to the adult world. This defies the experience of thousands of years. A close study of what big people were up to was always the most exciting occupation of youth, but nobody wants to grow up these days and who can blame them? Speaking in Tokyo, the former Prime Minister hit out at Cameron’s golden-era of China relations, saying that rolling out the red carpet “sent the wrong message”. Phillip Hammond won’t be happy…

Recap :I spot a Radio4 promo tweet that seems to be making out that Greta is a teenager
that’s weird cos Greta is well past 20 now
Activists turn up and quote the first part of the phrase “[Greta Thunberg] ‘I’m *not* an angry teenager’
Saying see she says she’s not a teenager
Do they care about the truth , or just trying to get at me ?
In fact when you follow the tweet link the BBC page is dated 03 February 2023
And starts
“The unlikely voice of a generation, teen activist Greta Thunberg talks to Amol Rajan ”
There you go in black and white the page talks about Greta as a teen activist, when in fact she is 20
So what’s going on ?
#1 The audio page is not new material It’s BBC regurgitating old material as if it’s new
.. the audio actually comes from an Oct 18th TV programme
#2 The audio page is not to do with any radio prog
So why did the BBC go to the trouble of making it now, and promoting it NOW ??
Well it just happened to be released in the same week Greta is promoting her new book ?
I maintain that the BBC has a close relationship with Green PR
The Specialist BBC shit-stirring department has been busy, having been handed some inside info by the Lib Dems concerning our hospitals being knee-deep and swimming in the brown stuff apparently due to lack of maintenance and ageing buildings.
May I suggest “diverting” some if the huge wads they currently hand over to fat cat diversity chiefs to pay for cleaning the toilets before they get the begging bowl out for the taxpayer again?

TalkTV from 1:08pm is on about a new smug arrogant speech by Yim Davie
still going on at 1:27pm
“Do you get your money’s worth from the BBC”

@bbcpress this seems like something you might respond to?
“It’s truly amazing what we’re pulling off by the way,” (DG Tim Davie) said. “That most households are pretty happy paying a licence being a forced payment. It’s amazing what we’re pulling off.”
Why did Dorries do nothing ? She’s libmob
And got ratioed 2:1 mostly by Labour Activists
cos her own show is a Boris Love in
..and they are bashing Richard Sharpe too,
Efforts of Tim Davie in tackling impartiality at the @bbc are rooted in wanting it to survive in rapidly changing digital world – it deserves to. He’s 💯 right. Removing bias across all output, not just news is key to that. Everyone should support him.
Dorries was a lightweight airhead like Johnson ….. of no value – like the one after her and the current one . The blue Labour Party will never do anything about the bbc – which knows this and will continually snipe at blue labour until it self destructs ….
Meanwhile it will censor the internet in the name of freedom and democracy and community safety – another freedom goes and never to return ….
‘went too far’ ….. Following the complaints unit’s ruling, a BBC spokesperson said: “We note the findings and that the BBC’s ECU concluded the comments did not condone violence and that no subject matter should be beyond the scope of comedy.”
Here’s the Hindu Lord speaking on Indian TV 2 weeks ago

I think we should send lord Rami an invite to join our site ….
That interviewer doesn’t look like a happy chicken …. Wow he really sticks it to the pakis ….

If you can’t find an excellent bbc programme to entertain and inform you – why not go off to YouTube and catch HMS Katie Hopkins .
Todays ‘ rant it about the plod ‘handling ‘ of the missing dog walking lady … why did they only talk about her boozing ? Her menopause? – why not mention that she was spying for Russia ?
Actually – I was trying to reason why plod should issue personal details about a missing person – who – if alive – is likely to stay missing – unless of course it is part of a strategy to catch a baddie ….
Yes Fedup. Anything interesting is now on YouTube.
News, views, entertainment…
Despite YouTube censorship, that’s where the cutting edge is to be found, while the ‘heritage’ media atrophies and dies.
Just heard the bBBC are cancelling Autumnwatch, unbelievable, the Watches are rare BBC programs that I watch, yet they continue to plug trans shite such as Drag Race.

Very sad about Bruce Willis being diagnosed with dementia at the age of 67 .
But on the upside I’m sure he will be able to buy the very best of care – and that announcements that even celebrities can develop this horrible disease will help charities – such as mine – dementia UK – with funding for their good work .
If you ever know of someone who is exhibiting dementia / formally diagnosed with it – remember Dementia UK is there to help with specialist nursing advice … it’s only a small charity and does nt have a lot of advertising or ‘admin charges ‘ …. And is one of the good ones …

(BBC)
Although the US administration is apparently cooling their man ‘Z’ somewhat: Blinken’s warning on retaking Crimea (Telegraph)

Doomwatch was Dr. Who level behind the sofa stuff. Recall one with rats…
But one that stuck with was a plastics-eating bug that got out, kicking off by bringing down a 707.
The effect on Vile’s mobile freak show would be fun.

From John Gatto, it’s not just children that don’t want to know about the real working world anymore. Swap child for adults in the following article …
The children I teach are indifferent to the adult world. This defies the experience of thousands of years. A close study of what big people were up to was always the most exciting occupation of youth, but nobody wants to grow up these days and who can blame them? Toys are us. … Time for a return to democracy, individuality, and family. I’ve said my piece. Thank you. {naturalchild.org – john gatto – jan1990}

In her first major speech since leaving Downing Street, Liz Truss led the charge for a stronger Western response to China. Speaking in Tokyo, the former Prime Minister hit out at Cameron’s golden-era of China relations, saying that rolling out the red carpet “sent the wrong message”. Phillip Hammond won’t be happy…

Recap :I spot a Radio4 promo tweet that seems to be making out that Greta is a teenager
that’s weird cos Greta is well past 20 now
Activists turn up and quote the first part of the phrase
“[Greta Thunberg] ‘I’m *not* an angry teenager’

We’ve just spent over £175.00 on a type of fuel called ‘Wildfire’, and it’s made from all sorts of dross left behind when coal yards collect and consolidate the dust left behind, and what’s left when oil companies clean out the pipes!
We burn it all regularly, as well as wood from a local merchant, plus a load of pallets from a local building site, which I chopped up back in the summer last year!
I just wanted to tell everyone this, just in case they thought I was listening to the little idiot ‘mare of londonistan’!

Chicago based yank Wendling is quite a busy boy … seems to like his monogrammed BBC T-Shirt / baseball cap- but he has what I’d regard as many of the signs of what I call “two jobbers” – where his subject matter aligns magically with DNC/Swamp related talking points on a regular basis.
Oddly he gets some Portuguese language stuff published (Brazil bollocks) – he’s no Glenn Greenwald.
