Midweek 24 May 2023

The taxpayer is now funding BBC VERIFY . BBC VERIFY ‘comprises about 60 journalists who will form a highly specialised operation with a range of forensic investigative skills and open source intelligence (Osint) capabilities at their fingertips.’

But what will the self serving BBC VERIFY verify ? US elections ? Unlikely . Vaccines killing people ?don’t go there . Ukrainian News? Avoid .

VERIFY gives us another tool to evidence the bias of the BBC . Enjoy

The BBC covering the funeral of Flt Sgt Peter Brown, a Jamaican who came to Britain to serve in the RAF in WWII.
Both the News at One and the website tell us he ‘was one the last so-called “pilots of the Caribbean” .’
It must be obvious to the dimmest that they were never known by that name, which evokes the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise.
Another thing that’s obvious but ignored by the BBC is that unlike in the segregated USAAF, brave souls like Flt Sgt Brown served in the RAF alongside their white comrades.
Pick up a relevant title by Osprey books, you’ll see pictures of such men together.
Counting the minutes until the next BBC programme that tells us all how racist this country has always been.

      ….

Today the BBC journalists Michael Keohan and Colin Campbell released a shocking report on the channel crossings. It showed people smugglers selling their wares brazenly in the migrant camps and many children living in unsafe and dangerous conditions, as well as—this is breathtaking—a free French public bus service that migrants can use to travel directly from the camps to the Dunkirk departure beaches. Not the words of an impartial Judge – the defendant never had a chance. I’ve yet to see anything which shows the election fraud claims ARE lies. They are simply dismissed as such and have been from day 1.

I suggested that the numbers will be fixed and it seems I am right . We’re doomed .

606 000 is the equivalent of Sheffield

        750 000 is Newcastle .

Now there is no doubt : the MSM was skewed to the Remainer side during Brexit – especially the BBC. I assume everybody knows it – I’ve even seen BBC HYS idiots justify it by saying ‘they were right to do it because it was government policy’.

And here we have this cretin saying the reason we got Brexit was because the MSM is ‘so, so broken’.

    The 600,000-odd injection edition

With migration apparently the word of the week our BBC go with an anecdotal tale as their top online news story suggesting what happens when the world and his wife aren’t safely gathered in – like harvest home – over here to Great Britain: Sudan conflict: 85-year-old British citizen abandoned opposite UK embassy… Azhaar Sholgami and her family had been trying to get British officials to help her grandparents leave Khartoum… Abdalla Sholgami… was shot by snipers and his wife then died of starvation… their family has told BBC News Arabic… “What happened to my grandparents was a crime against humanity, not only by the RSF, not only by the [Sudanese army], but by the British embassy, because they were the only ones that could have prevented this from happening to my grandparents”

I think we’ve got the message.

Top BBC pick from the print press is the mainstream oldish New Labour tendency Daily Mirror – a paper that wears sympathy proudly on its sleeve like a stormtrooper wears a swastika – half the frontpage is devoted to: Tina Turner… photographer’s candid shots and locals pay tribute; plus TV legend Dame Esther Rantzen… My cancer is stage 4 now…

Meanwhile, the other half – the news content care of the Mirror which was what likely drew BBC attention and promotion to top of their online press picks: Immigration chaos… No control… No compassion

There you have the needle Sir Keir Starmer and the Left have to thread – the conundrum they need to at least pretend to solve – since compassionately open borders sadly doesn’t gel with any measure of control

Not that our pretend conservative party can maintain the pretense much longer – even their friends now admit: Fraser Nelson The Tories’ dirty secret: they don’t want to cut immigration (Telegraph)

Wishy-washy manlet Rishi Sunak doth protest too much, methinks: Rishi: I get it! You want migration down – the implication in that headline from the most very loyalist of lackies the Daily Express being that we the voters want immigration down but he the PM doesn’t really.

Bringing this issue to a head in the moment: Some 606,000 more people arrived in Britain than left in 12 months (Mirror); Around 1.2m million migrants arrived in Britain (Express)

One guesses the government will find some way to make this the last set of migration figures they’ll allow to be published prior to an election. Anyway, what’s with this word migrate? Birds, salmon and caribou migrate, Indians, Pakistanis and Nigerians immigrate. Or at least they get hold of the all important passport then sometimes pop back to some warzone hell hole and need rescuing.

The coronaphobic ‘i’ newspaper sub editors get a chance to go all nostalgic with their phrasing this morning: No 10 lockdown after car crashes into Downing Street gates

Don’t get complacent on that subject: WHO powers could force UK into lockdown (Telegraph) – because there’s nothing our politicians enjoy more than some supranational authority to blame for apparently forcing them to do the things we don’t like but they do – remember when we were in the EU and ministers could blame Brussels for our hyper-immigration?

Does our nationalised health service see us as patients or as lab rats for Big Pharma?

Bonus for GPs if patients take part in clinical trials… £650m injection to boost medical research after number of study participants slumps (Times) – hmmmm… I wonder how come? That word injection might be a clue. But wait, we have all these hundreds of thousands of students… hard up students used to happily take a few quid to have a placebo jab or two.

In sports news: How to be more Pep… Eight life lessons from football’s best manager (‘i’) – let’s see, get foreign owners to pump so many millions into your club to such an extent that you come under the scrutiny of the game’s authorities for breaking financial fair play rules?

Another top – political – manager’s advice… when you’ve screwed up, blame someone else: Unis told: Get out of migration business… Home Office minister Robert Jenrick has attacked universities… told MPs a major issue was universities offering places to foreign students – who bring relatives with them (freebie giveaway Metro)

but few actually left the United States

The back-to-Africa movement was based on the widespread belief among some European Americans in the 18th and 19th century United States that African Americans would want to return to the continent of Africa. In general, the political movement was an overwhelming failure; very few former slaves wanted to move to Africa. The small number of freed slaves who did settle in Africa—some under duress—initially faced brutal conditions, due to diseases to which they no longer had biological resistance.[1] As the failure became known in the United States in the 1820s, it spawned and energized the abolitionist movement. In the 20th century, the Jamaican political activist and black nationalist Marcus Garvey, members of the Rastafari movement, and other African Americans supported the concept, but few actually left the United States.

“We can assure you there is no ulterior motive behind selecting the images we do, our news editors are likely to choose images that are relevant to the news story.

We understand these decisions are more of a judgement call than an exact science and appreciate you’re unhappy with the images we’ve used.”

The fact is that they chose to use Getty who are as racist as they come and hence all the choices available to the editors are stuffed with black people.

Whether it’s the BBC or Getty : the choice of pictures is racist in a 90% white society. And the BBC know it full well.

The question should be whether they think it is racist or not to grossly over-represent one group of people in the UK based on race.

BBC Moaning Emole has a ‘Shot Brit’s Wife’ story.

        ___

British citizen left in Sudan shot by sniper before wife starved

In the chaos of Sudan’s conflict, we heard many tales of British citizens trapped in homes. The UK eventually flew out 2,450 people. But one tragic case has come to light involving an 85-year-old London hotel owner, who lived across from the British diplomatic mission in Khartoum. With no access to food or water, Abdalla Sholgami sought help, leaving disabled wife Alaweya, 80, at home. But he was shot in the hand, chest and back, their family says. He survived and was taken to a family member elsewhere in the capital. But Alaweya remained stuck and was found starved days later. Her body remains in the house. The Foreign Office says the case is “extremely sad”. But one granddaughter thinks more could have been done.

        ___

By said ‘family’? Or are they en route here to vote for Sultana?

That’s a BBc working for anyone but this country.

Fans of inflation will welcome real world building society rate hikes done yesterday – almost .5% by the nationwide . Further good news is that the totally inadequate Bank of England committee isn’t due to decide the base rate until 22 June – then I suppose they all go on their hols until September .

Retail inflation is well and truly here to stay – maybe even with an added recession because of Bank of England stupidity

On the radio this morning they had someone from Sainsburys on saying they are trying to keep prices low.
They say their profits are down and their mark up is 3%.

The Farmers are all saying they are getting too low a price for milk (for example) and they are losing money supplying it.

The transporters will say fuel costs are too high (although they have come down a lot)
The lag in passing this cut on is apparently because they have bought a lot of fuel when the price was high and it takes a while to work through the system before the price drops register. This from professional buyers who appear to be buying when the price is high and not when it’s low because the fuel prices somehow shoot up very quickly meaning they have little or nothing in storage.

I would like to see the price of a pint of milk broken down through the various stages, what the farmer gets, the transporters, the packaging and wholesaling and finally the retailer. Then put the same breakdown from before the prices shot up alongside this so we can all see where the changes are and who is responsible for the jump in prices.
If it’s not the farmers who are ‘losing’ money, if not the transporters as fuel is coming right down and if not the Supermarkets who say their markup is very low (less than 3p per pint) then who is getting the large increase in price.

It’s not only milk it’s food in general, 19% inflation I’ve heard.

Instead of everybody blaming everyone else except themselves let’s see the actual breakdown of the prices from the cow to the table.
Over to you Marianne, fact check that lot and put it out for all of us to see.

    TOADY Watch #1 – there’s more, isn’t there BBC?
BBC WEB-SITE Watch #1 – ah, that is it! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-65708358

Much concern in the 6.30 a.m. News Bulletin (confession I missed Framing Today, ie. framing HMG & DEFRA for some dreadful wrong that they have comitted, no woe)(confession, I missed Tweet of the Day, oh woe) and again in the 7 a.m. News about a Sudanese couple who lived opposite the British Embassy in ‘Hartoum’ after the wife starved to death, following the husband’s death after being shot by a sniper on a shopping expedition.

The husband was shot by a sniper while out trying to buy food. Our Government is evil and hardhearted for not flying in food to this couple and for making this poor woman starve to death.

Gradually the facts creep out, both in the broadcast on TOADY and in the web-site article. The wife, 80 years of age, is morbidly obese (judging by the photo) and has health problems, not outlined in the article. The husband/grandfather, 85, was not killed, clearly implied in the News bulletin, but just injured and has managed to escape to Egypt.

In the news bulletin or in the TOADY segment it was let slip that the grandparents own a hotel in London. I assume as they were expecting the British Embassy to evacuate them they had ‘the right to remain’ or even British passports and residency rights. The BBC neglect to tell us this and instead create the idea in listener’s heads that HMG and the F&CO were tremendously hard-hearted in not providing the grandmother with food or evacuating the grandparents in the first place.

Several questions remain about this non-story:
    1. The grandparents are obviously wealthy and knew all about Sudan and its problems,
    2. They chose to live there when they could have lived in Britain,
    3. The couple had a doctor son in Khartoum. He operated on his father. Why were the children not looking after their parents?, and
    4. Families in their situation usually have servants, what happened to them? We are not told. Instead the BBC try to create the impression that the UK, HMG & its F&CO is heartless and unkind and – probably – racist. Am I hearing a compensation claim on the way?

This story wouldn’t be unconnected to yesterday’s Net Immigration Statistics, would it BBC?

Waves of Negativity from the Knaves of Wegactivity at the BBC. Despicable, truly despicable.

‘Robert, a teacher from Hertfordshire, told the BBC he and his wife are facing an increase of £500 on their mortgage payments on their family home.

He has been forced to take on a second job to cope. He said his current monthly mortgage payment is £1,400 but his deal expires in August.

Government should jack up the interest rates untill people stop tossing food in overflowing supermarket trollies without even looking at the price.
BBC don’t bother saying how much teacher Robert earns, or what this alleged 2nd job is.

Currently at the top of the BBC News website:
“British Cycling to ban transgender women from competing in female category”
The article says trans cyclist Emily Bridges ‘reacted to the announcement with a statement on social media, calling the change a “violent act” by a “failed organisation” that was “controlling” the conversation on transgender inclusion.
She added that the racing scene was “dying under its watch” and that British Cycling was engaged in “culture wars”.’
Further down the article Bridges continues: “Cycling is still one of the whitest, straightest sports out there and you couldn’t care less,” she said. . . Bridges claimed discussion of the debate is “inherently political” and “framed by the media who are driven through engagement by hate”, saying she was “terrified to exist”.’

There’s a bunch of stuff about ‘the science’ but frankly I’m less concerned about the levels of testosterone in ‘trans women’ than with the levels of crazy they’re inflicting on society.
Emily Bridges seems a bit secretive about his life as a male but appears to be a Welshman called Zach Bridges.
BTW, the BBC leaves a bit out from Bridges’ statements – Sky Sports says he also accused British Cycling of “furthering a genocide against us.” But including that might make him sound unhinged, mightn’t it?

How you are being lied to about the US debt default by the Mafia Democrats and their allies in the press, and how this is in reality a choice by Biden which would be illegal and unconstitutional.

The US can repay its old maturing T bills and issue new ones to the same value, it just can’t go above the debt ceiling when issuing them.

In addition it can still pay the interest on the existing T bills which amounts to around $700 billion, but it takes in $4 trillion, it would just have to live within its means for a change.

In addition if it were simply to revert to the spending levels of 2020 there wouldn’t be an issue either (because tax receipts have increased.)

So the very best outcome for America would be no agreement on the debt ceiling and Biden forced to spend in a responsible manner, or be removed from office if he didn’t.

R4’s ‘PM’ spent an inordinate amount of time on the abduction of a non-British boy Ibrahim Khalid (spelling may be incorrect). It was the first item after the headlines and they really dwelt on it. The boy was abducted allegedly and taken to Saudi Arabia by his father. The mother is here in Cheshire and said she couldn’t go there to get him back because she was an asylum-seeker.

In what universe is this deserving of being the first item on a national news magazine-style programme? They are not British and only fortunate enough to be here because of asylum (from what, you may well ask) and now the husband has taken the child. The mother used “like” quite a lot, as a filler, and her English was good enough but she’s not British. The boy doesn’t have a British passport. We had lots about how friendly little Ibrahim is. How is this our problem? We can’t be responsible for Third World customs and Saudi cultural norms.

What a waste of time when there are more important matters,
