Main headline on the Beeb’s webshite tonight – “Japan lands on Moon but glitch threatens mission.” Well done those innovative Japanese in getting their entire island into orbit and then following it with a perfect touchdown.

30 years ago…when the BBC still did music, and had bands in to offer sighltlty different versions of their songs.
Makes me think of the summer; saw a poor Blue tit this morning, frozen solid on the ground.

I’m really sorry to burst your bubble here Eddy but Beautiful South who I though were a decent band were a bunch of leftists so extreme they’d make a Tory blush. In addition they didn’t even write this song, it was written by one Fred Neill and then covered by Harry Nilsson.

It was originally an American folksong but there have been numerous cover versions since.

And Mr Heaton is the type of Far Left who invested in a bicycle shop in Hull, not selling cheap bikes for poor kids but those carbon fibre bikes that cost thousands. I don’t know if the shop is still there. He also invested in a restaurant out in the countryside. I think it was called The Blue Boar which was mid range to upmarket.. It didn’t last long. So he was certainly looking for capitalist opportunities to make even more money.

          Zeph.
My thesis is that this is exactly what the Far Left want to do.

Their support for each and every activist agenda is thus purely tactical.

Anti-colonialism, anti-slavery, pulling down statues, BLM, transgender, mass immigration, Palestine campaign. All ways of undermining society and bringing down the market economy.

For instance, I noticed today something called the Free Palestine Coalition contains supporters from feminist group Sisters Uncut as well as Black Lives Matter.

          Case proved, your honour.

Who says the BBC don’t do comedy.?
    Except that I’m not laughing.

On BBC London, the presenter, very unusually, is Sonia Jessop. She’s white !!!!

    But I digress.
The story was about Measles outbreaks and low vaccination rates.
Our Sonia interviews a doctor about it.

This being the BBC, the doctor is, of course, a female Muslim with clothes to match.
What is causing the low uptake in London, asks Sonia,

The doctor puts it down to ‘vaccination fatigue’.
    And that is all.
I think Sonia expected more but the doctor just blathered off topic and did not offer any other possibilities. Sonia did not press. The elephants in the room, immigrants, Muslims averse to cpvaccines with a pork ingredient, people who don’t understand English, were left intact.

A prime contender for this year’s ’sweeping inconvenient stuff firmly under the carpet’ award, a tactic in which the BBC are world class.

      Not on the BBC.

Oasis legend Noel Gallagher has launched a blistering attack on Sadiq Khan over his failure to tackle knife crime in London.
The 56-year-old blasted Mr Khan in a foul-mouthed rant after it emerged last week that more than 1,000 people have been killed in the capital since he became Mayor of London.
Police estimates show 1,008 homicides were recorded since Mr Khan was first elected – leaving around 130 families ripped apart every year of his tenure.

Manchester-born Gallagher – who bought a house in west London after splitting from his wife last year – fumed on Matt Morgan’s Patreon podcast: ‘That little weasel-faced c*** of a Mayor who runs this town — I f***ing hate him.’

Referencing schoolboy Harry Pitman, who was tragically murdered on December 31, the singer added: ‘You know that kid who got stabbed on Primrose Hill on New Year’s Eve?

‘I heard that on the radio and one of the reporters was saying knife crime has gone down all over the country except London.

‘So what do you have to say about that, you little weasel-faced c***?

‘How does he keep getting voted in?

      ‘God, I f**king hate him.

‘You know he asked me for a picture once, the little c***? I told him to go f**k himself.’

Gallagher also went on to attack rail staff who have been heaping misery on Brits by regularly striking.

He said: ‘Travelling up and down to Manchester on the train is a f**king nightmare.

‘They just cancel it, on a f***ing whim.
And they’re always on strike because they’re not f**king getting paid enough.

‘How are they not being run by the f***ing government?’

A spokesman for Mr Khan told The Sun that funding for policing and youth services had been slashed in the last decade – and claimed that the number of young people being injured by knifes had dropped since 2016.

As for professional experts on any given subject. I
expect BIG BROTHER from the BBC diversity department
has instructed them , if it was needed by their anarchist
Marxist editors that only ethnic “experts” are interviewed .
It would not surprise me that before long we see one
of these experts in a burqa.
One thing about Sonja Jessup . She only seldomly as
a presenter will have to read the autocues written by
the Marxist editors blaming the police for knife crime
or if it is not the police , its the Toreeeeeees. And of
course all the strikes in the capitol or anyway is the
      fault of the BOSSES.
I expect very shortly for the presenters and reporters
to be wearing support Sadiq Khan pendants. But to
be fair . There isn’t a Hamas flag in the studio.

What a shame. This perfect example of a smug, arrogant, nasty Lefty liar hasn’t quite got away with it yet after all.

Everything about this case stinks. Particulary how the FBI concluded he did pull the trigger proving him to be total liar but somehow they broke the gun and then all the charges were dropped.

The BBC of course love him because he is a fellow outspoken Trump hater. The principle that someone can point a loaded gun at someone else, pull the trigger and kill them without standing any trial at all was ridiculous – but as we all know, it’s ‘basic facts’ only when it suits the BBC.

Lets see if his expensive lawyers can bully the prosecution to drop the case again this time.

Haley calls Trump insecure for spreading false ‘birther’ claims
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68031450

… and another PR piece from the ‘unbiased and impartial’ BBC in their desperation to stop Trump.

‘Ms Haley is Mr Trump’s closest rival in the next contest of the Republican race to be the party’s presidential nominee. Voters in New Hampshire will select their candidate on Tuesday and although Ms Haley has narrowed the gap, polling still suggests the former president has a substantial lead.’

So no numbers given which means of course I had a look why:
    Jan 5th:
    Trump 42.3%
    Haley 29.1%
    Gap: 13.2%

    Jan 19th:
    Trump 49.1%
    Haley 33.8%
    Gap: 15.3%
    https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-primary-r/2024/new-hampshire/

Seems like when the BBC say she has ‘narrowed the gap’, they don’t mean in recent days. They mean since November last year. In the last 2 weeks, the gap has INCREASED.

100% typical BBC dirty word trickery.

Sorry Madeline, I now brand you as yet another agenda-driven BBC liar who doesn’t care one bit about truth.

Palestinians tell of fears for the future as war destroys Gaza

What about this English from a resident of Gaza city ?.

‘”I hold the Israeli occupation responsible for the massive destruction, but I do not absolve Hamas of responsibility for everything that happened,” he said.’

No he didn’t BBC. You did and said he did. Just as I’m certain you did for the rest of this report. It’s full of what you WANTED them to say. Either that or Gaza has the best English schools in the Middle East.

It seems the latest push is for a two-state solution. And of course someone comes out with something right on message:

Neveen Imadedin, a mother displaced from her home in Gaza City said “We want the war to end but with a sustained long-term political solution. We want our state, not to return to the no-peace, no-war situation.”. Amazing Neveen : go to the top of the class.

This whole war is classic BBC when it’s against their agenda. They just ignore the cause and concentrate on sucking out empathy from the effects.

They even blame Israel for all the crime and extortion going on as people are being sold UN aid which has clearly been stolen (though not mentioned by the BBC). They say it’s because Israel have killed all the police. More like it’s Hamas doing what they have always done. But the BBC don’t go near that.

I’ve just watched a Telegraph pod cast of an interview with historian Simon Heffer.
Heffer is the biographer of Enoch Powell whom he greatly admires, a strong Brexiteer because he believes in national sovereignty, and thinks that Lady Thatcher was our greatest ever leader. All things that most of us on this site would wholeheartedly agree with. I would put Heffer down as a right wing Tory of the old school and a very dry one at that.
The interview was about the political situation today and the challenges which confront our country and the conservatives in particular. It lasted for an hour and covered a lot of ground.
Astonishingly only passing references were made to immigration and the need to get it under control.

I’m sure that a wise man like Heffer knows that immigration is in the top three issues of the day for ordinary voters and yet he didn’t want to engage on that topic. He must know that most voters think that the abject failure of the Tories to massively reduce it is their greatest failure. So why was he so shy of addressing the issue?

We are all used to politicians and most journalists being unable to speak facts and truth about immigration but when someone likeHeffer follows suit it is deeply worrying. Has the rot which has allowed mass immigration for the past three decades now run so deep that even the likes of Heffer darent speak against it , or worse, even accept it and have come to terms with it? Is there no serious opposition to mass immigration in the corridors of power?

Editors beware, Mr AsI is on the lookout and it’s been a good week for those awkward little juxtapositions where ironically clashing headline features betray the mainstream narratives.

Today, for our slips and giggles (I said slips), we alight on the ‘i’ newspaper, the poundshop junior Guardian as I like to call it – or ‘top pick’ for their online newspaper review as the BBC likes it this morning.

Narrative-wise the headline story is a broadside against the Rishi Rwanda policy, deploying that formula familiar to viewers of the TV quiz show Family Fortunes – ie “Our Survey Said…”

Public verdict on Rwanda: PM’s plan won’t work or win power for Tories, poll says (‘i’)

That lead phrase Public Verdict purports to elevate some online clicking by a hundred or so individuals as an update to a bloke going door-to-door with a clipboard questionaire – up to the lofty jurisprudential level of a French Revolutionary Jacobin mob demanding the guillotine sentence from the peanut gallery. But hey ho. The Rwanda policy is crap – but not necessarily for the reasons the lefties think.

Let’s move on to the light relief and humour of another of those awkward juxtapositions as promised. The ‘i’ loves to present a list of several bullet points bellow their screamer headlines – as though a frontpage layout posing as some literal managerial meeting agenda bestows unarguable veracity on their leftist editorial line. Point 4 clause One this morning reads: Home Office is evicting asylum seekers from taxpayer-funded hotels…

And in close proximity on the self same frontpage: The UK’s most exciting new hotels from £88

The Times meanwhile pitches slightly higher up market: Chic hotels under £200

Do not adjust the contrast control on your TV set: Look who’s gone… Millie dropped as Time Lord assistant.. and look Who’s new (Daily Mirror) – yep, you guessed it – yet another case of diversity replacing white on BBC shows.

The Labour-supporting Mirror, mind you, does some sterling work this morning with their lead story: The final betrayal… Tata is axing nearly 3,000 jobs… Steel jobs bombshell – a fiery campaigning frontpage forged in the furnace of outrage: Tories give factory owners £500m to throw 3,000 workers on scrapheap… Save Our Steel… Mirror Campaign – all done without a single mention of sustainability or green steel – the BBC wouldn’t do that: Tata steel: What do plans mean for UK’s carbon footprint (BBC) – but the gynaeceum that is: BBC News Staff – they do like the Mirror for their number two pick in their online news review

Well said dear – is a rare feature of these reviews. Allison Pearson in the Telegraph garners that accolade today: Port Talbot has been sacrificed to the angry god of net zero

That would be an ecumenical matter (TM Father Ted)

In further religious news: Public funds used to fight school prayer ban (Telegraph) – the state-protected religion in question in this case is of course islam

A Clockwork Orange author Anthony Burgess predicted in his novel 1985 – a rather spicy and controversial answer to Orwell’s 1984 – that islam would feature significantly in Britain’s future. He saw it replacing christianity due to arab money and the watering down and falling away of our native european creeds. He couldn’t have envisaged our third world hyper-immigration. But he guessed Catholicism would become Protestantism and Protestantism would become Atheism.

All quiet about the eastern front

Ukraine war news may be reported missing in action lately – perhaps because we’re losing on all fronts? Ukraine in maps: Tracking the war with Russia – under the BBC’s online news tab is dated 20 December 2023

An all out attack on all fronts against Brexit is covered in the left-leaning press, however: Revealed: vital green laws destroyed by Brexit (Guardian); New price of Brexit shoppers face extra price hikes on ham, cheese and sausages… Foods from Europe face tighter rules from 31 January (‘i’)

No wonder the Beeb crew admire the ‘i’ – it ticks all their boxes and goes so far as to carry their corporate lines: Make wealthy pay more so licence fee is free to people on benefits, demands ex-BBC chief – so 3,000 former steel workers now on the dole in Port Talbot can be explained to for free: Tata steel: What do plans mean for UK’s carbon footprint (BBC)

Gary Lineker is your frontpage pin-up in the Guardian: Having a heart? How is that a bad thing? Gary Lineker interview.

Can we get one thing straight? Because we’ve had weeks of beating about the bush on this one. Esther does not just want a ‘debate’ on assisted dying. She wants assisted dying. Legalise it. She’ll advertise it.

The Rishi lackey loyalist Daily Express – bereft of positive news about their man – goes with: TV icon’s emotional plea to make Commons debate on assisted dying a reality – again with the ‘debate’ canard

The emotional angle: Esther’s tears: over ‘cruel law’ (Daily Express)

If you’re now feeling a certain regret that you bothered to get up out of bed this morning… this read should lull you back to sleep: Keir Starmer My plan for the NHS (of course that’s a feature placed in the Stramer fan boy Labour-curious formerly patriotic Times)

      Nice one as usual AsI!

I think that I’m rather looking forward to Starmer and friends taking over the UK in November…

What will be more liked, than to see all the new useful idiots trying to understand the real world, wondering what the ‘global boiling’ issues really mean to their hard-pressed voters, trying to understand how big finance actually works, what to do about the huge influx of illegals, and how other foreign governments will see them coming a mile off!

It really will become a comedy show, with Abbott in No11, Fick Ange in the ‘Ome office’, most of the other usual suspects being ‘briefed ‘ by the same incoherent civil serpents that infest Whitehall as we speak, and all the inherited problems of the current pathetic blue socialist bunch of weirdos we have at the moment being continued ad infinitum!

Beeboids will have a field day for the first couple of months, and then the rot will really set in, as they’ll be squirming and squealing at their ‘interviews’, when it’ll be clear to everyone who bothers to watch their drivel, that the whole shebang of UK Inc has gone t**s up, and there’s nobody to blame but Piggy Eyes and his motley bunch of twonks, who took over from Sunak’s crisis!
At my tender age, (yes, I’m buying my first really big-engined beast on Thursday, petrol of course, so I’m still getting there), I’ll just sit here, riding this laptop, and enjoying the schadenfreude of a failed government giving way to an already failing crew from the Marxist side of ‘politics’.

I pay little tax now. Our meagre pensions mean that life for me and Senora O’Blene is just about affordable, they can’t get worse, and I’ll just have to watch my dear old country unfold into a mess of ridicule which will last until the populace are allowed to sort the old place out themselves, by sensible policies, decent conditions for business, (from Brexit of course), a complete stop to immigration, a return to Christian values and a fair deal for the indigenous British people.

I suspect that the Beeb will eventually run out of money, and Starmer will give them everything from general taxation, but that will certainly mean that more and more citizens will just ignore them, rather like most people take no notice of local authorities’ stuff.

And in even better news, I have a bottle of Shepherd Neame’s ‘Bishops Finger’ ale in the fridge for a mid-day celebration of sixteen months of no TV tax! Then we’ll hit the Marlborough River vino with a vengeance!

A weird report on the BBC website of an Israeli cabinet member claiming that Netanyahu is “not telling the truth” about Israel’s military aims in Gaza. The report doesn’t elaborate. A pathetic and biased piece of journalism.

They try to create the impression that Israel is a pariah state with a few well-placed, insinuating phrases: “No trust”. “Growing international isolation”. “A chasm between it and its allies”.

There is no “chasm” between Israel and its allies the USA, the UK, Australia, France, and Germany.

And let’s stop all this two-state solution fantasy talk. There has always been a Palestinian state. It’s called Jordan. If the Arabs had accepted the original proposals, Jordan would today have included most of what is now Israel. But the Arabs rejected the plan. They have rejected every plan since. Why? Because the only thing they have ever wanted is the total destruction of Israel.

Israel has learned through bitter experience of dealing with Arab intransigence and perfidy that agreeing to the existence of a Palestinian state within the bounds of what is now Israel would be signing its own death warrant.

Netanyahu is absolutely right. Israel’s ONLY option is to totally destroy Hamas. That might sound too hardline and harsh for effete BBC crybabies. But this is one of those situations in which MEN have to step forward and do what is necessary to protect their families and their nation.

Just been told a hearsay report from a DWP fraud investigator of an Eastern European scam around 300 people board an aircraft and then fly around Western European cities making benefits claim for an entire family, including the UK. This nets each individual around £7K per month.

This is all known about and monitored, and they keep on paying them because the greedy weasels want more ‘evidence’.

When asked why they don’t just stop paying them he was told that they want a conviction so they can notionally claim the money back, even though they know full well they will never be able to reclaim anything at all.

Yet again we see this slavish devotion to the law trumping all common sense and costing each one of us a small fortune, just so the greedy weasels can make more money.

Another scandal IMHO is when there is too much wind we pay the wind turbine companies money not to produce electricity as the grid can’t handle it. Of the electricity that is produced we also pay overseas to consume electricity via our ‘inter-connectors’ (also known as negative pricing).

So our interconnectors are quite harmful as we buy expensive and sell cheap (or even worse pay them to consume it).

I do not know how much money this scandal equates to every year. The very least the companies could do IMHO is give coastal communities free electricity especially since they have mostly been forced onto smart meters.

And another thing bBC we blew up the coal fired power stations. It stinks of corruption.

Hallelujah! At last, a senior politician dares say the unthinkable about Trump.
In today’s DM, Boris Johnson has a double-page spread titled “A Trump presidency could be just what the world needs.”

To my mind it doesn’t go nearly far enough in pointing out, on the one hand, what an absolute disaster Biden has been, nor, on the other, how beneficial a Trump Presidency would have been in 2021 and could yet be in 2025.

It omits to list Biden’s catastrophic failures internationally and domestically, compared to Trump’s.

It fails, for example, to juxtapose Biden and Trump’s policies on US oil and gas production, nor Biden vs Trump’s policies towards Iran. (The former – unbelievably – sending the rotten terrorist regime billions, whereas Trump withheld all payments and even blacklisted Iran’s oil sales to third parties like China.)

But it’s at least a step in the right direction of de-toxifying the great man.

Savour the first few paras, and note the dig at the BBC:

With the shriek of elderly beldames leaping on the piano stool after spying a mouse in their petticoats, the Western liberal intelligentsia has finally spotted the likely result of this November’s U.S. presidential elections.
The results from the Iowa Republican caucus have exploded like thunder in every high-minded meeting place, and the reaction is always the same: sheer, gibbering funk.
In the editorial conferences of fine old U.S. and UK publications, the leader writers are having hysterics.
In the cocktail parties of Davos, I am told, the global wokerati have been trembling so violently that you could hear the ice tinkling in their negronis.
In the senior common rooms of our universities, in the synod of the Church of England, in the Orwellian corridors of the BBC and among much of the UK establishment there has been a caterwauling orgy of nose-holding abhorrence.
No! they are saying. Not him — not that man again!

To read and believe the words of a proven liar is to open oneself to be deceived.
The comments on this piece were universal, that while in office Johnson did the exact opposite to what he is lauding Trump for, and he didn’t stop himself laying into him in his support for the far Left Democrats, Clinton and Biden.

Boris does not believe those words he wrote. He like many hacks was given a title and a brief and told to go away a write a piece for a lot of money which he did.

Don’t believe a word of it. Johnson is a Marxist at heart, cut from the same cloth as the weaselly Cameron, and he has zero scruples or morals.

      • vlad says:

I suspect Johnson wrote the piece with one eye on his possible future comeback to frontline politics. After all, he might have to deal with Trump one day.
Be that as it may, and whatever his motives, he is at least saying some of the right things.

And his comments are being picked up by the media, from The Grauniad to the Telegraph, via Sky News and Politico.

But not, predictably, by the BBC. Wouldn’t want to give Orange Man the oxygen of publicity, would we?

As anticipated the BBC are reporting that the German government is considering banning the AfD because some of its seniors members attended a meeting at which measures to deport some migrants , a million or two, were floated.
I don’t know the details of those who floated these ideas but it would not be a complete surprise if they weren’t in the pay of the neo liberals one way or another, ie it’s a false flag smear.
The idea of banning the AfD was first mentioned by the German President some months ago in order to protect the German constitution and democracy . Well of course it would be!
This is so like the attempted Lawfare on Trump and the resurrection of the twenty year old financial scandal charges against Le Pen , it is laughable. But these charges will give pretexts for action if the neo liberals think that they need them come the run up to elections.
How many times can this stunt be pulled before voters see through it and vote for those that the neo liberals are trying to suppress? By bthe growing support for Trump the answer is not very many?

Tommy Robinson is angry. (Real name, Norma-Jean Hitler.)

He is calling for a demonstration to protest, predominantly, the islamic threats ranging from terrorism to rape gangs, open borders, beheadings and the weekly pro-Hamas demonstrations on our streets.

It will be interesting to see how the BBC reports the meeting (if, indeed, it’s allowed to proceed).

Will they be as benignly tolerant as they were towards the BLM / Antifa thugs, the climate loonies or, more recently, the Hamas islamo-fascists who regularly occupy our streets, intimidate the public, threaten Jews and chant violent antisemitic slogans?

(As a side note, it will also be interesting to watch the police’s reaction. I suspect they will be much less tolerant than they were towards all the above trouble makers. Somehow I doubt they will take the knee for Tommy, nor politely hold the protesters’ banners for them while they desecrate memorials, as happened in London recently.)

The BBC are only following orders from The Frankfurt School of Marxism. They just don’t realise or care, what you or me think. In fact they would prefer a UN based new world order. They could ban online free speech such as Biased BBC. So a future COVID (wont be called COVID), CLIMATE (also called Net zero), and FREEDOM of thought (as in DEMOCRACY,) will be reduced to (new) HATE speech legislation already on the UK legisltion horizon will become UK law. The UK has already adopted the UN HATE speech (for all online discussion) Biden’s dream of stopping Trump may also be involved). It also has nothing to do with actual Islamic ‘hate’ crimes – but proscribing (banning) political dissenters from expressing opposing views from the global UN based ‘Collective’, is assured. BBC are happy to verify your comments, in that they will ensure nothing is ever made ‘public’. Even if its National security.

    Back to the UN agenda
its not just about Climate scare tactics, far worse.

    Their intentions are clear:

“If information surrounding elections is suppressed and under their control and regulation, then we know just how easily it is for them to influence and affect political outcomes.

Second – public health measures – are you surprised? After a year of fighting off the WHO Pandemic Treaty, the UN is now getting its hands on yet another weapon to dictate your health choices.

And last but not least … “incitement to discrimination”, also known as “hate speech”… In other words, anything that goes against their agenda in topics like gender ideology, abortion, and Christian opinions in such matters!”

Not many of us realise the UN has taken over many aspects of UK government since leaving the EU. Conservative or Labour read from the same song sheet. It was worked out with the UN insisting we comply with LGTQXYZ and how well we ‘do ‘is then judged by the EHRC over ruling the UK high courts. Effectively we no longer control our own UK laws at any high level. Even out politicians are powerless over UN Treaties. We now have the entire UK civil service enraptured to such UK directives. Nobody voted for it, it just drifts into legislation. It was Tony Blair’s greatest achievement. Designed to outlast a Tory government. Then we had Cameron who also thought it was good idea to not change anything, and we are stuffed.

Its just like the Eagle album. You can leave but you can never escape the UN. We are fully signed up to it (all UK). Climate change driven, speech restrictions and work restrictions will follow when ID cards are with us. Not long no under the next government. The ability to restrict free speech is part of the BBC ‘VERIFY’ unit, that you must agree or be ‘shadow banned’ not just by the BBC (they will deny it) but is also a fact that TWITTER also denied that they banned COVID critics and CLIMATE deniers (Both BBC topics). Hate speech is natural extension, that will lead to thought Police and then we are not far away from the BBC idealistic social construct of 1984. The Book 1984, is almost part of the BBC.

You won’t find anyone at th BBC talk about it, but they do have BBC VERIFY unit, well advanced and tested (working) during COVID and CLIMATE and recently explaining why JEWS should not protect it self. This is not a co-incidence. Its a plan.

Is that a ‘Hate crime’ comrade? (BBC verify unit)

You can protest as I have and sign here

You are not supposed to know about it. It will not be mentioned in the next General election. its a feature of the EU that they (always adopt the UN initiatives). And its always kept secret from the public as we have no say in why the UK is in such a state. Our last hope is to vote for REFORM. Only a sea change will stop the rot.
