The PM Theresa May could get top 10 Imams from around the UK, have a nice cup of tea with them and then ask them to stand in front of number 10 and ask a question about the religion of peace and say ‘Who agrees put you hand up, if you do agree then say why …’

    1. Hand up if a man who writes a piece of fiction should have a death contract put on his life?
    2. Hand up if a man who is homosexual should be killed?
    3. Hand up if a man who draws a cartoon should be killed?

Theresa May would follow it with … “Hand up for yes only please, no mumbling about translation and different era. If you put your hand up you get 2 minutes to explain your position. Many thanks.”

Done, dusted and out of the way and in the open …

There’s lies, damned lies and then there’s Two Tier lies

Downing Street has insisted the government is “making progress” on tackling illegal migration, even as the number of small boat migrants is set to cross a whopping 200,000 since records began eight years ago. The Number 10 spokesman said at the Lobby briefing of political hacks this afternoon:

“The previous government left our borders in and we are still living with the consequences. We must do whatever it takes to restore order to our borders. The statistics show that we are making progress. Since coming into office this government has deported nearly 60,000 people, with 2025 marking the highest rate of returns in nearly a decade. Deportations of foreign criminals are up more than 30%… Of course, we must go further…”

The spokesman then pointed to the supposed merits of the ‘one in, one out’ deal with France, claiming 600 migrants have been returned under the policy. As a hack pointed out in the room, that isn’t a net figure. The net figure is… around zero. To which the spokesman conceded “it’s a pilot scheme”…

Funny old thing but the BBC keeps on calling the US Department of War the Defence Department and usually when they mention Hegseth they add on ‘the self-styled’ secretary of war’…but themselves call him the ‘secretary of defence’.

‘US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says the US-Iran ceasefire “is not over”, despite attacks in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday

At the US Department of Defense briefing earlier, a journalist raised “reports of [Iranian] kamikaze dolphins that we’ve heard about” – here’s a look back at what else we heard.’

Maybe the BBC didn’t get the memo or are they deliberately cocking a snook at the Trump administration…all part of their pathetic student union political games? Words matter….

‘President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order today changing the Defense Department’s name to the Department of War as a secondary title.

The order — the 200th signed by the president since taking office — authorizes Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and DOD subordinate officials to use secondary titles like “Department of War,” “Secretary of War” and “Deputy Secretary of War” in public communications, official correspondence, ceremonial contexts and non-statutory documents within the executive branch, according to a fact sheet released by the White House.

    Hegseth concurred with Trump’s contention.

“We changed the name after World War II from the Department of War to the Department of Defense and … we haven’t won a major war since,” Hegseth said.

“And that’s not to disparage our warfighters … That’s to recognize that this name change is not just about renaming, it’s about restoring; words matter,” he continued. ‘

Earlier @Fedup2 referred to the Green representative’s shameful performance at Question Time. She was asked where all the ‘racial hatred’ was coming from. In the context of antisemitism, the answer was obvious: ISLAM. Pure and simple. I-S-L-A-M.
Of course a Green couldn’t afford to alienate her voter base so she repeatedly plays dumb and dances around the question. Aided and abetted by the idiotic Fiona Bruce who does her best to deflect the question. At one point she even gets quite tetchy towards the impertinent questioner: “What exactly are you getting at exactly?”(She knows, she knows. Savour the contorted look of horror on her face.)
This is, of course, a trap: if he replies ‘Muslims’ then the entire panel and most of the audience can throw their hands up in horror with cries of “Racist” and no doubt get the audience member frogmarched out of the studio.
It’s reminiscent of when mayor Khunt was repeatedly asked by Susan Hall about grooming gangs in London. He too played dumb and tried to manouevre her into saying the taboo word Islam.

Here’s an excellent humorous commentary on the segment in question from the brilliant Sky News Aus.
