Funny how this notable and important story is tucked out of sight on the business pages…
‘Plans to impose a ban on UK imports of diesel and jet fuel made from Russian oil in third countries have been watered down amid concerns over supplies and price rises.’
Starmer makes a deal with the Devil and funds the Russian war machine and the BBC tries to hide the story away where it knows few will see it….the same BBC that constantly told us Orban in Hungary was a danger to democracy and Europe because he was so close to Putin due to his buying of Russian oil…never mind Germany was also buying fuel from Russia.
The BBC shapes the news to suit its agenda….if you’re one of its ‘good guys’ you can get away with murder….if you’re an Orban or a Farage nothing you do will ever be right.
Maybe we should welcome this and hope for the best…
‘New BBC boss vows to tackle broadcaster’s bias’ ‘The new director-general of the BBC has pledged to build a “sat-nav around bias” as he seeks to restore trust in the broadcaster after a string of scandals.
In his first address to staff since taking up the role this week, Matt Brittin said the corporation would use data to analyse patterns in its news output and other programming.
This could include monitoring how often the BBC uses certain words or phrases and analysing the type of contributors it invites to its programmes.
Mr Brittin said: “Stories and data together are the way to understand the world. [This is] not to audit people, but as a kind of sat-nav around bias or sat-nav around these topics … So that’s where I think I’d try to complement our brilliant expert teams.”
The comments will cement expectations that Mr Brittin, a former senior Google executive, will put technology front and centre of his efforts to modernise the BBC.’
