Naturally we are all devastated about the Islamic prayer centre fire. No doubt it was just an accident, like the fire at Notre Dame.

So the New Labour Leader / King / first woman leader wants to build the biggest number of council houses since the war.

The history of council housebuilding is defined by three distinct eras:1945–1979 (The Boom): Driven by post-war reconstruction and the 1946 New Towns Act, this era saw councils building an average of 126,000 homes a year. The post-war peak was in 1954, when local authorities completed 198,210 homes. The last time councils achieved high historical figures was in 1978-79, delivering over 90,000 new homes.

If we say 125,000 a year, at roughly £250,000 each, more if built in the south, will mean spending £31 Billion a year.

AND who will build them? We will need more just to house the immigrant brickies

He wants to devolve Government but Burnham seems to have forgotten that the Starmer Government had already put in motion a local government devolution. The idea of that was to agglomerate various Councils into Mayoral Combined Authorities. As an example Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Warrington combined with an election due in May 2027. It’s already happened.

The really stupid thing is it wasn’t that long ago in 2009 that Cheshire was divided into two separate Councils, Cheshire East and Cheshire West, 2009. Lots of bits of Cheshire bits have been hacked off over the years in a number of government reorganisations. All I see is more waste and empire building.

So the King of the North will put a No10 in.. . . Manchester.

Not Newcastle, or Leeds, or Liverpool.

Don’t the other Cities even care not getting a chance?

You will be replaced …. for more exciting football.

“Nineteen of Mohamed Ouahbi’s 26-man squad were born outside the country. During the group-stage draw against Brazil, Morocco became the first team in World Cup history to field an entire starting XI born abroad.

It is no accident of demographics.”

When Ziyech chose Morocco later that year, many in the Netherlands reacted with surprise. His explanation was far simpler.

“I’ve always felt Moroccan,” he said. “You choose with your heart.”
