The 14-year-old girl and the family went into an Italian restaurant and saw Salihi enter from another entrance. The family pushed Salihi towards the counter and explained to staff that he had sexually assaulted a teenager. Staff tried to get Salihi to leave but he refused. The family managed to escape and Salihi left and sat outside the restaurant looking agitated.
Salihi picked up a chair and threw it through a window. He picked up a second and threw it, but this time it bounced against the glass. He was detained by members of the public until police arrived. He was later charged with two counts of sexual assault by touching and criminal damage.
Salihi was also fined for the offences.
