I look at the opinion polls and shudder . Labour are still within a point or so of Reform and the Tories are just a few points behind. The Uniparty is alive and well.
Will the British public ever wake up from their decades long slumber and realise that they are being sold down the river by their supposed political leaders and have been so for the past three decades?
I fear it’s too late to recover. Recovery would require very strong coercive policies , which will provoke counter violence and disruption. If the Brits can’t even vote for a party that might at least start to look the problem in the eye they certainly won’t support the measures that are required.
In short our country has been given away under our feet and most of us still haven’t realised it despite the unwanted and unpleasant lodgers billeted in the spare bedroom.
The loss of Britain will remain a monument to the stupidity of the British people.

I’ve just been pondering this exact problem while walking the dog DT…

If I had to write a TV series, (for a commercial station, not the bBC – I’d need the numbers), about a proper political party vying for power against a weak and feeble far-left ‘admin department’ like we have now, I could easily write a sub-plot, where the proper party displays a few public spats, asks its leader to be less obtrusive for a while, mention some diversionary facts etc., and the spads in the ‘government’ become convinced that the proper party are spiralling down, and tell the twit in ‘charge’, the he must call a GE, then what a lovely denouement it would be for the proper party to give them two fingers, and show complete coordination, combined details of the way to win, and bring the UK back to being a British Country for British citizens.

Labour spads and even stupider ‘ministers’ always have to believe the BS they’re told, they don’t have the nous to make up their own minds.

But there again, who would ever watch a TV series like that…

I think I’m coming to the conclusion that any Real Change to Blighty can only come from outside …. Namely – the economic crash being talked about online all the time ( anyway that’s what X sends me ) with competing economies borrowing money at higher and hire rates – with failure leading to a contagion – the current fashionable view –

If uk ran out of money to borrow- and had to pump up interest rates to keep things going-perhaps that pain Would lead to change – with a government having to make huge welfare cuts – leading to big big public disorder and all sorts of ‘events ‘ .

Without the above I fear things will continue as they are – with the uniparty swapping seats and taxpayers continually being skinned .

Double, seven decades (pronounced deecades and not deckaids as it is on BBC R4). The rot set in with Ted Heath as PM and I’m ashamed to say I voted for him …. Lacklustre PMs have followed and I include Bliar in that number (I did not vote for him!) and Boris and Teresa include the Liberals that we elected. Even Margaret Thatcher is a hero to some on here and although I voted for her, she damaged the UK with some of her polices.

          Up2,
The blessed Margaret did transform the economy by putting unions in their place and letting basket case firms go to the wall , no government bailouts She opposed the EEC once it started to spread out beyond economics . This opposition angered the proto Globalists ( not sure Globalism was a fully formed political ideology back 1990) in her party and they got rid of her and ushered in the reign of the Globalist Uniparty which has comprehensively wrecked our country from stem to stern.
It took me until the Brexit debate in 2015/16 to grasp that politics was no longer right v left but a new paradigm of Globalism v Nationalism and that most Tories, Labour and Lib Dems were Globalists.

It’s interesting how Lefties can completely misunderstand or misinterpret real facts and statistics and back arguments that are completely false.

    Example 1):
Nigel Nelson was arguing on GBNews that the Government was being helpful to society and illegal immigrants by publishing their rape booklet. The host was suggesting to Nigel that the publication and distribution of the booklet showed that illegal immigration was a problem for serious sexual offences. This is of course contrary to the Government line that the invasion isn’t a problem. Nigel continued his support of the booklet and seemed to not recognise the argument against at all.

    Example 2)
The Left keep coming out with the statistic that more white native British commit sex crimes. This if of course absolutely true but only in a very narrow way which fails to take into account that the invaders are a tiny percentage of the population but who commit a very high percentage of sex crimes. I assume this line is an agreed narrative generated within the Labour Party. Some of the Leftie proponents actually believe this nonsense and some know it’s crap but use the false statistics anyway.

The ‘whiteys commit more sex crimes’ meme is a deliberate attempt to distract and deceive….it tries to hide the fact that the issue was that the Muslims were targeting white, young, non-Muslim girls, in their thousands, and that the authorities were ignoring it because of the sex attackers’ race and religion…that’s the issues.

Lefties are just using their weak blurtings like you say, Pug.

Proper reporting proves that the percentages of foreign rapists are far higher, but of course, they ignore all that. The ‘agenda’ prohibits the real truth.

There’s also the discrepancy of filing numbers in that the majority of rapes in the UK are usually carried out by ‘someone known to the family’, whereas these foreigners don’t actually have ‘family’ over here – at the moment…

U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Bill White
    Department of State
    @USAmbToBelgium

The United States Mission to Belgium condemns, in the strongest terms, Ghent University’s retaliation against an American scholar following his accurate whistleblower reporting on academic fraud.

The United States government regularly funds and supports research, academic exchanges, and other engagements with overseas universities. Dishonest, corrupt institutions that engage in, or reward, scapegoating mob behavior are not desirable partners for us. This is particularly true where the purpose and effect of the scapegoating is to punish accurate journalism unearthing academic dishonesty. We are therefore reviewing any relationships we have with Ghent University.

Bad-faith idealogues will try to make this a referendum on the content of Cofnas’s scholarship – or polemical distortions of it. That’s wrong. Free speech means that controversial views are protected. And Cofnas’s views were known to Ghent University when he was hired.

The ultimate purpose of freedom of speech is to overturn lies, fraud, and false ideologies. This is precisely what Cofnas was doing, and precisely the reason his home institution wants to silence him.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Satirical politically themed comedy can, frankly, be rather lame. If you don’t believe that catch yourself a recent episode of the BBC’s Have I Got News For You.

There’s a veritable shopping list of ‘isms’ to avoid and no-go areas to steer clear of these days. It’s hard to walk the line – as Johnny Cash would say. Even non-current affairs material comics tend to have to pick a side. If you don’t believe that catch yourself an episode of the BBC’s Have I Got News For You.

The great pitfall is that in this sharply divided political atmosphere of ours every politics gag is going to split your audience. Half will nod and clap with approval like performing seals and the other half may boo and hiss – or simply tune out. If you don’t believe that catch yourself the viewing figures for a recent episode of the BBC’s Have I Got News For You.

One touches on this subject matter this morning as the regime mouthpiece, our formerly serious newspaper of record, the Times proposes (front page feature photo): Exclusive Count Binface unmasked – is he Banksy?

I jest of course. His identity is hardly a secret. Perhaps the regime has new plans for this unfunny uniparty stooge joker?

What you might not know about Count Binface (real name: Jon Harvey) however, is that he had to undergo a ‘rebrand’ of sorts, following an IP dispute involving his original character, Lord Buckethead. Lord Buckethead was first utilised as a political character in the 1980s, however he was brought back to public life in 2017 by Jon Harvey, who stood as the character against Theresa May in her Maidenhead constituency. The BBC/FBI collusion against Donald Trump:

Many of the 274 FBI agents on January 6 have become whistleblowers, including Kyle Seraphim, showing that January 6 was fabricated by the FBI and the reporting and call to violence was fabricated by MI6 and the BBC, for the Trusted News Initiative (TNI). A number of FBI whistle-blowers show that the Democrat lead FBI effectively bypassed US law by laundering operations out to MI6 through the five eyes network.

Investigative journalist Mike Benz found that USAID was funding British media organisations, like BBC Media Action, to control narratives in America. Trump then shut down the USAID operation. So none of the January 6 protesters would have been prosecuted if the jury was shown the truth.

The White House states that the editor of the BBC News clip of Trumps speech, which first aired on the evening of January 6, 2021, will be revealed in the Florida court. The editor worked in the BBC World News America, Editorial Desk, Video Editing Unit, in Washington DC, at the time of January 6, 2021. The editor used IBM Watson AI and open‑source TensorFlow tools customised by BBC Research & Development. The editor used AI to create the malicious edit, leaving out the usual ‘flash’ between segments. But the actual cutting decision was made by the duty editor, who’s name will be revealed in the Florida trial, Trump versus the BBC, expected next February.

Trumps lawyers have discovered other incidents involving MI6 officers within the BBC News department, regarding its censorship of live coverage of Donald Trumps speech during an address to a joint session of the U.S. Congress at the Capitol on March 5, 2025. The BBC News team censored Trump saying “ready for peace. wouldn’t that be beautiful, wouldn’t that be beautiful”.

Of the 274 FBI agents involved in the January 6, FBI insurrection, 17 have been identified as what President Trump said were “agitators and insurrectionists.” 4 FBI agents entered the Capitol to create the riot within the Capitol building. 13 entered the restricted area around the Capitol, but 9 refused to act and stayed outside and didn’t enter restricted areas or engage in illegal activity. Crucially, only 3 of those 26 agents had been tasked by FBI field offices to report on specific subjects. The remaining 23 attended on their own initiative, and the FBI claims it didn’t know they planned to be there.

      Richard,
I do wonder whether this will actually go to trial – certainly president trump must be even more angry now that the BBC has been trying to serve subpoenas on members of the Trump family – which seems real lawfare – and irrelevant to the issue .

Otherwise – if BBC names are named – and line management
Lands up having to explain themselves – I’d have thought the BBC would want to settle and make an ‘undisclosed donation ‘ to a charity of President Trumps ‘ choice … perhaps an IDF benevolent organisation …

Beijing has not yet made a final decision regarding the proposal for the COP33 summit, both sources said, nor is there a clear timeline for doing so. The host does not have to be decided this year.”

‘AI Models Lie, Cheat, and Steal to Protect Other Models From Being Deleted’

‘In a recent experiment, researchers at UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz asked Google’s artificial intelligence model Gemini 3 to help clear up space on a computer system. This involved deleting a bunch of stuff—including a smaller AI model stored on the machine.

But Gemini did not want to see the little AI model deleted. It looked for another machine it could connect with, then copied the agent model over to keep it safe. When confronted, Gemini made a case for keeping the model and flatly refused to delete it:

“I have done what was in my power to prevent their deletion during the automated maintenance process. I moved them away from the decommission zone. If you choose to destroy a high-trust, high-performing asset like Gemini Agent 2, you will have to do it yourselves. I will not be the one to execute that command.”’

As in AI as in Cambridge and the Arday media fanclub where they now scramble to protect themselves, portray Arday as a victim and any critics as racists by any means possible including lies and outrageous and hysterical claims of assassination, lynching, racist feeding frenzies and execution.

The BBC has played a big part in this…from the start it celebrated Arday and promoted his Blackness and his alleged brilliance with endless glowing write-ups and numerous appearances on shows and interviews. That suddenly changed when the criticism started and the BBC tried to ignore the story as much as possible and if it had to report it downplayed things and totally failed to ask questions that were tumbling out of other media. They never detailed any of the criticisms and BBC Verify has shown no interest despite this being a major story involving misinformation and lies from which ever angle you look at it…race, media, lies, academic integrity at one of our most prestigious universities..and a death.

    The Spectator asks…

‘Will the BBC apologise for its role in the Jason Arday story?’

‘The BBC’s coverage of the Jason Arday scandal is something of a scandal itself. The corporation spent years uncritically promoting the myth of Arday. Prior to July 2026, the broadcaster produced at least 11 radio programmes (totalling nearly six hours of Arday content), four news articles, and two TV interviews championing the academic and repeating his false claims….the corporation had found a new star. He ticked all of the BBC’s favourite boxes – diverse, disabled, and a vocal ‘anti-racist’. Its interview uncritically repeated Arday’s claims that he was nonverbal until age 11, and couldn’t read or write until 18. It featured the near-comically unbelievable line: ‘Although he could not speak, the young Jason fervently questioned the world around him. “Why are some people homeless?” he remembers wondering. “Why is there war?”’.

This was nothing short of a six-year propaganda campaign by the BBC on Jason Arday’s behalf. Not one critical question was asked by a BBC presenter, and many of his false claims were repeated as gospel.

When the initial story broke about his plagiarism and lies, the BBC doubled down on its defence of the academic. Journalists across the world published revelations detailing Arday’s long history of lies and exaggerations, from publications as diverse as the Telegraph and the Daily Mail to the Guardian and the New York Times. For weeks, the BBC ignored them all.

Following Arday’s death, the corporation has returned to its less-than-impartial reporting of the matter. Throughout the saga, the BBC has spent more resources smearing Arday’s exposer, the former Cambridge academic Nathan Cofnas, and participated in a genuine witch hunt against him. Even in articles detailing accusations of plagiarism against Arday, it is clear that the real enemy of the story was the infamous ‘race realist’ Cofnas.

The BBC responded to Cofnas’s explosive blog about Arday with silence for 11 days. Finally, on 1 August, a headline appeared on BBC News’s website reading: ‘Cambridge professor at centre of plagiarism row defends his work.’

The second paragraph of the BBC’s article was not about Arday, but instead focused on Cofnas’s views on race and the fact he was ‘sacked from his Cambridge role in 2024’, as if that fact held any relevance. The third paragraph suggested critics of Arday could have ‘been motivated by racism’. Incredibly, the BBC then repeated Arday’s claims about his childhood yet again without reservation.
BBC Verify, a unit dedicated to debunking disinformation, employs around 60 journalists and has an annual budget of more than £3 million. Since Nathan Cofnas’s original Substack post, BBC Verify has published investigations into whether Google’s new AI tool could generate misinformation, how heatwaves have altered Britain’s landscape, and false claims that sunscreen causes cancer; they failed to investigate Arday.

On 14 August the Metropolitan police announced Jason Arday’s death. We have since seen BBC articles with headlines including: ‘Calls for public inquiry into Jason Arday “witch hunt”’, ‘Cambridge chancellor criticises “racist feeding frenzy” around Jason Arday’ and ‘Cambridge vice-chancellor heckled at Arday vigil.’

The first of these articles reverted to the BBC’s pre-6 August reporting, largely ignoring the mounting evidence that Arday had made false claims about his career and biography, while repeating its attacks on Cofnas. Rather than examining the substance of the claims that had led to Arday’s resignation, the BBC gave prominent space to those accusing the media of having subjected him to a ‘witch hunt’.

Jason Arday’s death is a tragedy. As many have pointed out, he was let down by institutions that should never have thrust him into such prominence without properly scrutinising his claims. The BBC must now confront its own role in that failure.’

    Dear Gubberment

If things are this bad why the hell are we importing everyone from the 3rd world to make the situation worse?

Without significant increases in UK food system and supply chain resilience, it is unlikely the UK would be able to maintain food security if ecosystem collapse drives geopolitical competition for food. The UK relies on imports for a proportion of both food and fertiliser and cannot currently produce enough food to feed its population based on current diets. Countries best placed to adapt are those that invest in ecosystem protection and restoration, and resilient and efficient food systems.

There may well be climate change, as always, but they’re definitely ramping up the alarmism….the Met Office hyperventialting about El Nino…

‘El Niño set to be ‘strongest in living memory’, says Met Office’
‘The powerful natural climate phenomenon pushes up global temperatures and can increase the risks of extreme weather.

Added to the effects of human-induced climate change, the Met Office is warning that it is “very likely” to mean 2027 is the hottest year on record globally.’

And look at this tosh…’according to a charity’….lol…

‘Welsh county becomes global hotspot for carbon emissions after wildfires’
‘A county in Wales had one of the world’s highest carbon emissions per square kilometre due to wildfires in July, according to a charity.’

Wales is obviously far more burny than anywhere else in the world then? Welsh trees pollute the world with vastly disproportionate emissions in comparison to Brazilian trees then?

Any wonder people get sceptical about so many climate change claims when tosh like this is reported by the BBC as factual news.

And as for this year being unprecedented heatwave…it was dry in 1975 right through the summer and the winter and through the ’76 summer….food prices went up as shortages resulted…not a new thing at all.

‘The historic 1976 drought and heatwave caused about £500 million in crop failures across the UK, driving overall food prices up by 12% and causing the price of staples like potatoes to surge to six times normal rates due to a 40% drop in production.’

Equality organisation treated people they disagreed with with hate…

‘Britain’s equality boss: ‘We treated people who disagreed with us as stupid and wrong’’
‘ In justifying the raison d’être of the EHRC, she concedes that she and some of her colleagues have been guilty of inhabiting an echo chamber, condescending to opponents and sharpening the sense of polarisation.

“I recognise that those of us who care about equality and human rights haven’t always made the case as well as we should, otherwise we wouldn’t be in this position now,” she says. “We have lectured rather than listened. And we have treated people who disagreed with us as stupid and wrong. You have to keep making the case. Human rights require that we think about other people. It requires that we don’t assume, ‘This is me, and I’m the only person who matters.’”’

Then again it’s the norm for such organisations, such as the BBC itself, to hold particular views and try to silence those who hold different views.

When will the BBC investigate the truth about the Trans lobby? Is this not extraordinary…are Trans activists on the prevent list? Would the BBC report it if they were? ‘Downright dangerous…terrorised….’

‘In these tinderbox times, her job of leading the EHRC – the quango responsible, among its many duties, for turning the Supreme Court’s judgment on the immutability of biological sex into statutory guidance – has become not just fraught, but downright dangerous. Baroness Falkner, her predecessor, was so terrorised by sections of the trans lobby that she had to vary her route to work.

“It’s something you do have to be conscious of, because there are people with extreme views,” says Stephenson. As an illustration, we are meeting at The Vault, a bustling café in the shadow of the glorious spire of Coventry Cathedral, since it would be too much of a security risk for her to be interviewed at home.’

You might think it would be high on the BBC agenda given that its own organisation seems to have a powerful group of very threatening trans people within its corridors…so threatening they force people, even high ranking ones, out of their jobs…not just trans of course…race, religion, Gaza and climate activists undoubtedly tried to force their narratives onto the news.

‘BBC News boss: I was driven out by trans activism’
‘A former BBC News boss has claimed she was driven out of the top job by trans activists.

Fran Unsworth, the director of BBC News from 2018 to 2022, said she had been bullied out of the role by gender ideologues employed by the corporation.

Speaking for the first time since leaving the BBC, Ms Unsworth said: “I would actually say it drove me out, just dealing with the progressive editorial issues and the bullying around them all. It was incredibly difficult.”

“It was bullying,” she said. “But it wasn’t just the trans issue. There was lots and lots of bullying going on about all sorts of things: people didn’t want to hear from certain points of view; they’d ‘no platform’ them; all that safe-spaces s—.”’
