Looks like the ground is being prepared for scrapping the pension triple lock.
It seems to me that pension spending is being cut so money can be splashed on the public sector, illegal immigrants and welfare claimants.
Never mind the fact the Labour Party GE manifesto stated the triple lock would be retained.
The reason the triple lock was brought forward in the first place was that pensions were falling behind because of inflation. The problem with inflation and pensions is that there are three main measures of inflation, it was decided to link pensions to the highest of the three as it was thought to be fairer. What isn’t taken into account is there is no recognition of the pensioner spending pattern which is loaded onto the two highest inflating areas of costs, energy and food. The truth is that despite the triple lock, pensions are falling behind.

If you’re a landlord and have not had any acceptable people who want to live in your house over a six month period will your house be taken off you?
If landlords are exempted this while waiting for new occupants they could put the rent at a ridiculously high amount and keep the house empty for as long as they want.

Last night on GBNews, a lefty was saying immigration has no effect on the housing shortage and that we should build more houses.
Why didn’t anybody say that about 5 million immigrants all need a home and if they were not here we would have a big housing surplus.
I’ve not heard any of the ‘Right’ commentators challenge the brainwashed lefties who question the housing shortage and say it’s not because of the mass immigration.
