THANK YOU VERY MUCH….

Did you hear the simpering interview with BBC poster boy Alex Salmond at 8.10am this morning. With the BBC doing all it can to somehow blame David Cameron for the decision taken by Salmond/ Brown to realease the convicted mass murderer Al Megrahi – the Lockerbie bomber? I contrast the tone used in this interview with the vile Salmond – passive and largely agreeable – to the hectoring of Michael Gove on Monday and the assault on William Hague yesterday. Yes, I know Salmond is a slippery creature but the sheer mendacity of the Scottish Government on this deserved much more detailed focus and it was largely absent from the interview. Even the headline for the story “Taken in Good Faith” tells us where the BBC is coming from! I noted the “thank you very much Mr Salmond” that concludes the “interview”.

MAUDE MAULING..

It’s always a good day at the BBC if they can a/ Have a go at a Conservative and b/Twist what he says. So it was this morning on the Balls Broadcasting Corporation when Frances Maude was then target. Maude has pointed out how some family gangster dynasties cost the taxpayer ££millions. First off, the basis for Maude’s comments was attacked and then a Labour politicians was invited on to explain why we need to spend more money on “troubled” families. Either way, a Conservative never gets an even break. Fair enough if the same treatment was dished out to all, but of course it never works that way!

The right to own one’s own property is a mark of a democratic country and was one of the great achievements of Lady Thatcher when she was in power. Now, the Welsh Assembly seeks to ban the sale of Council houses in certain areas. Nothing strange there – what else one would expect from a left-wing institution? However what surprised me was that the BBC angle on this was “Is it already too late?” to make such a legislative move. Now I accept that is one perspective but what about the view that says “Is this totally unacceptable?”. No evidence of that on display from the BBC – only ONE point of view permitted.  Everything Thatcher ever did they oppose and use their rancid little programmes to seek to re-write history.

THE IRISH PROBLEM….

International economics guru, Sanchia Berg, was on the BBC this morning to entertain us with an “analysis” of Ireland’s economic woes. At first I was curious as to why the BBC seemed so interested in the fact that Moody’s (They never saw the recession coming, why should we pay much attention to them now?) had downrated Irish credit worthiness – then it became clear. You see Ireland has actually TRIED to deal with out of control public sector spending by imposing wage cuts and the like. I salute the Irish for facing into financial reality. However Sanchia was not impressed and in the predictable BBC fetish that “you get out of a spending induced recession by spending even more” mode, suggested that Ireland was heading for a double dip recession because of foolishly trying to live within budget. The BBC agenda is to advance the Labour economic policy – the one that got us into the trouble. In doing so, they will seek to do down the Irish and any other country that dares suggest that responsible economic practice.

THE WAR ON THE CONSERVATVES…

If it’s 8.10am and it’s the BBC’s TODAY programme, you can be sure a Conservative will be under sustained attack. Yesterday, Sarah Montague let rip at Michael Gove, today we had John Humphyrs doing everything possible to get William Hague to agree that British deaths in Agfhanistan were a complete waste of time. Humphrys was on full-on “We’re doomed and we shouldn’t be there in the first place” mode and Hague had to think very quickly to deal with it. I thought he did OK but it was interesting to hear Humphyrs to spout out his own theory about the “drugged out of their own heads” Afghans. I though the BBC rather approved of narcotics?

BP – TIME TO OPEN UP THE PLUGGED WELL..

It’s so odd. Laura Trevelyn was back on the BBC this morning shrilling that BP might  need to open up the underwater Oil well that they have just managed to successfully plug. Like the Obama regime, our Laura seems determined to keep the boot to the throat of BP so even when they do some good, they are bad.

PORRIDGE

I usually start the day with a warming bowl of porridge but the BBC tends to start the day worrying about those tender souls doing Porridge! Yet  ANOTHER story given prominence this morning by the BBC advocating the idea that we must stop sending people to prison. This is a recurrent theme and it is being pushed remorselessly. The BBC seems unable or unwilling to make the connection that the reason we have more people than ever behind bars (albeit in soft liberally run prisons) and that reported crime has fallen to a new low may be in some way related! MICHAEL GOVE – PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER ONE

In Michael Gove, the BBC have a new hate figure to fixate upon. I notice the BBC “comedians” now have a go at him but that was as nothing compared to the not so fragrant Sarah Montague at 8.10am this morning on Today. (No link up yet). She was bristling with hostility towards “Mr Gove” and I thought he did rather well even though she continually cut across him and refused to debate his points. I was pleased that Gove actually fought back, criticising the BBC for how it is portraying the entire Academies Bill issue. But in this interview, Sarah was essentially acting as a cipher for Ed Balls. BBC = the voice of the Labour Party/

THE GITMO STORY THE BBC DOES NOT COVER…

Yes, we know the refrain well enough by now. Those wicked Americans tortured all the poor innocent lambs held in captivity at Guantanamo and justice must be done. The BBC ran another story on this earlier today investigating British “collusion” on “torture”  Here’s a story the BBC seems unaware of, wonder why?
