MASTERMIND…

Interesting choice of BBC language here.

Munich 1972..Israelideaths ‘masterminded’ in an “audacious” Palestinian attack…which “killed” 2Israelis….9 others “died” in a botched german police rescueattempt.

Not machine gunned and grenaded to death then?

BBC weekend staff even more appalling than the usual crew. It’s almost as if they admired the Palestinian savagery on display in 1972, and every year since.

ANY QUESTIONS?

Wonder did anyone else catch “Any Questions” this week? I caught the repeat this lunch-time on Radio 4. It is AWFUL. Jonathan, like his brother David, is effortlessly leftist. And as for the panel – well, good old BBC favourite anti-Conservative Chris Patten was there, to provide balance! Meanwhile. John Denham (= good guy because he opposed the liberation of Iraq) and Olly Grender (Nice Paddy Ashdown associated Liberal) ensured  it tilted even further left. Stuart Rose was the only voice of near sanity.

THE GANGS OF BRIXTON…

Another teenager has been stabbed to death in London and the BBC want to discuss the issue. Partially. The issue is framed very carefully and the elephant in the room which the BBC will not discuss is the blunt fact that much of this gang culture is black youth driven. The BBC talks about the knives, not about who is wielding them. Why not? Is it because it pierces a hole in the multicultural dream so beloved of the State Broadcaster and exposes the tragic breakdown of family life in the black community?

STILL FIGHTING THE WAR…

Long after Saddam’s corpse has rotted away, the BBC is still fighting the Iraq war. As you know, the BBC consistently opposed the idea that the UK should join in the fight to remove the Baghdad Butcher, and when we did do what was right, the BBC led the charge against it – with the dismal beat of defeat being a daily feature of the war coverage. Even now – with Afghanistan now being the major theatre of war (and also opposed) – the BBC can’t let go of Iraq. You see it needs to prove the war was illegal, and thus wrong. It ran this item today which is essentially the BBC continuing to press the case that removing Saddam was wrong because an academic says so. Plus ca change! The BBC is still stuck in some sort of John Lennon-esque “Give Peace a Chance” timewarp.

THE ULTIMATE TRAGEDY…

I was reading this item by the charming BBC ace correspondent Orla Guerin. It seeks to inform us about the real threat facing Pakistan – poverty. In particular, it concentrates on the decision by a Pakistani father to poison his family to death. Ine survives – this is her story. Why do I think Orla is missing the ultimate tragedy?

THE LAW THAT SHOULD BE ABOLISHED

I thought that Emma Boon from the Taxpayers Alliaance was given quite a tough time on Today this morning as the BBC covered the Coalition suggestion that the public can decide which useless laws should be scrapped. Give it a listen. However it struck me that there is one piece of legislation that does need to be repealed without further ado – and THAT is the one forcing us to fund the BBC. Please Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg – can we just axe that right now?

TALK TO THE TALIBAN

I found it telling that the Taliban chose the BBC as its propaganda conduit to declare it sees no reason to talk to NATO. John Simpson, that doyen of fairness and impartiality, was the point man in this exercise, and as he gushes the Taliban believe they are winning the war so why bother talking? What annoys me most about this is not the way in which Simpson and the rest of the BBC rush to broadcast Taliban propaganda (That’s par for the course) but rather the impact this sort of story has on the families of those brave men and women serving their country in Afghanistan. It’s the drip drip drip of BBC manufactured defeatism that so enrages me. Fighting the savages in the Taliban is one thing but countering the PR the BBC afford them is quite another. From where I sit, the BBC are the enemy within and every time our military goes into action the BBC will not be far behind them, undermining their every action.

OLIVER’S ARMY

I see the BBC is doing everything possible to big up Jamie Oliver given Andrew Lansley’s polite but accurate observation that the Nanny State is not our friend and that Oliver’s army of dinner ladies serving his “healthy” meals was less than successful.

HAMAS HUMANITARIAN TARGETED

As spotted by a B-BBC readers..

BBC headline  “Israeli air strike kills Palestinian man” Sounds like the Israelis have once again targeted andkilled an innocent man, who was just minding his own business. Most likely a humanitarian? Nasty Israelis. Only read a bit further- they targetted militants who hadjust fired a rocket into Israel.  Why does the headline not read “Israeli airstrikekills Palestinian terrorist” ? We all know why, don’t we?
