IT’S ALL ABOUT PROPORTIONATELY?

Anyone catch the BBC in full anti-Israel mode this morning on “Today”? I though Humphyrs was particularly hysterical during his 810am rant with the Israeli Ambassador Ron Prosor – at one point denying that knives were weapons. (“You can get them in you kitchen drawer”) Evan Davies did all he could @ 8.47am to confirmt that the blockade  of Gaza was illegal, that the boarding of the ships was illegal and that the use of force against the iron-bar wielding knife stabbing Jihadist-enablers was not “proportional.”

The BBC has entirely failed in its duty to examine the other side of this story. It has wilfully sanitised the role of the IHH in this episode of Jihad-enabling, it has canonised the “activists” on the ships, and of course it has demonised Israel. The BBC refuses to provide any balance when it comes to covering Israel and as such is nothing more than a propaganda arm for Palestinians. Shame on all BBC journalists involved, they lie in the gutter,,,,

Wonder what your thoughts of the BBC coverage of the Hate Flotilla are this evening? Earlier on, on the 3pm BBC news, I was stunned to hear a Hamas spokesman being interviewed with NO balancing interview from someone from the Israeli side. This is another Hezbollah moment, we’re all Hamas now…and the BBC lead the chorus of outrage. How DARE those Jews defend themselves…

GAYNESS TRUMPS HONOUR?

I thought the BBC ran a very peculiar item this morning @ 8.46am concerning what they see as the homosexual angle to Lib-Dem David Laws ripping off the tax payer to the tune of £40,000 on his expenses claims. Evan Davies (Gay) conducted the interview with fellow blogger Iain Dale (Gay) and Kelvin McKenzie. (Not Gay). I am unsure why the BBC seem to want to bring the gay factor into this story. Laws ripped us off – plain and simple. He has been exposed. The gay dimension to this seems a red herring. Surely the same ethical standards apply to us regardless of our sexuality?

FLOAT ON…

Looks like the Flotilla won’t be floating any closer to Gaza. Did you catch the OUTRAGE expressed by Humphyrs at Israeli spokesman Mark Regev just after 8am? Humphrys repeated the allegation from the Hamas enablers on the Flotilla that they were attacked in the first instance, whereas Regev pointed out that it was the “activists” who had done the attacking. This has been a carefully engineered publicity stunt by the cabal of Jew-haters, extreme Islamists and hard leftists on this Flotilla and we can now be sure that the BBC will do everything possible to further demonise Israel and present the Flotilla “activists” as victims. The truth is that through their support for Hamas, they collude with the victim-makers. The BBC despises Israel and this will become apparent as the day progresses. Like Regev, I regret the loss of life that has taken place but more to the point I am revolted by the BBC coverage.

UPDATE; As this story grow, I note that the BBC chooses not to examine the role of the Turkish based IHH. I cover it here. The meme is clear – the Jews are always in the wrong. Killing peace activists, whatever next?

OUR COLONIAL SHAME…

Did you read this report concerning the decision by the Malawi President to pardon the gay couple who had been sentenced to 14 year in prison for their flouting of Malawi law? Helpfully, the BBC makes the point that intolerance of homosexual behaviour is a legacy of the evil Colonial times when..gasp..British values prevailed in law. So, even though Malawi has been independent for almost 50 years, it is still our fault that homosexual behaviour is not celebrated in the dark continent.

THOSE EVIL CAPITALISTS…

Evidently the BBC shares the same view as the Greek government that Pharmaceutical companies must be obliged to sell drugs at below cost, even if this means making a loss. That is what I take from the tone of this report. I suppose it’s tough for Socialists to understand the commercial mindset but haven’t they a duty to at least try? As someone who suffers from Diabetes myself, I am sympathetic with those affected by the decision to withdraw the insulin from the market BUT the responsibility lies with the absolute recklessness of the Greek government. The BBC skips over that pesky detail.

ANY QUESTIONS….?

Anyone catch that paragon of political balance. Any Questions? The panel consisted of Polly Toynbee, Saint Vince Cable, Lord Adonis (So, three to the left) and Toby Young. They started off by debating whether the Bradford murders means prostitution should be legalised and controlled by government. Usual BBC meme. I turned off when Toynbee was eulogising Saint Vince to his beaming face … just too much to take.

The alacrity with which the BBC has seized on the news concerning David Laws expenses claims contrasts with its relative insouciance towards the activities of some of Labour’s hierarchy. Then again, since the BBC has a clear  objective of splitting the Coalition, this is perhaps not so surprising.
