"YOU RUN THE ECONOMY…."

I was watching a debate on Newsnight concerning the Pre Budget Report. Kirsty Wark said to Liam Byrne “You run the economy….”. Erm, no, he doesn’t. We don’t live in a full on totalitarian State, yet. But an interesting insight into BBC think. Maybe she meant to say “You ruin the economy….”?

Paul Mason and Michael Crick were also on to try and suggest that all three main political parties have a similar agenda on dealing with the deficit. Again, nonsense.

MIND YOUR LANGUAGE

OK, so it’s not the lead story and indeed one has to click across from the main newspage to even see it. I refer to the item curiously entitled “UK Muslim guilty of planning attack”. Mmmm – a tad innocuous but curiosity got the better of me so I went over and discovered that the actual story is that several Muslims have been convicted of planning mass murder over the Atlantic. So, “Jihad horror averted” might have been more accurate, or perhaps “Muslim plot to murder hundreds of British people”……but I guess “UK Muslim guilty of planning attack” fits the bill for the BBC.

VICTORY FOR COMMON SENSE

I wonder if you noticed the BBC coverage here of the welcome news that an English Court has found a Christian couple who had been accused of “insulting” a Muslim to be innocent? Quite obviously this was another pointless prosecution by the CPS but I notice that twice in the BBC item they repeat the CPS claim that there was sufficient evidence to bring the prosecution. If only the Judge had agreed, eh? I am sure the BBC must be gutted.

FIGURES DON’T ADD UP – NEVER MIND!

The BBC reports that the Dear Leader has said technology such as crime maps and online school reports will cut bureaucracy, as Labour attempts to halve the Budget deficit.; Ahead of Wednesday’s pre-Budget report, the PM said “efficiency savings” would help to save £12bn over four years – £3bn more than planned in the Budget. Great news. I suppose one might pause to wonder how £12bn worth of theoretical “efficiency savings” over four years is going to resolve public sector net debt of £804bn but obviously the BBC does not concern itself with such economic trivia. No, Gordon is in control and offering us clear red water between his kindly “efficiency savings” and the wicked Tories cuts. Vote Labour, you know it makes (non) sense.

WONDERUL WONDERFUL COPENHAGEN!

Well, The Guardian along with 55 other newspaper titles in 45 countries may declare that we have “14 days to seal history’s verdict on this generation” as regards the gathering of the AGW cultists in not so wonderful Copenhagen, but hey, the BBC is doing the best it can for “the cause” today. Did anyone else catch “Today” this morning? Check out the totally unbiased headline “A Deal consistent with the Science” Also did you hear Ed Miliband being interviewed? It seems that those who aren’t on board the fake science of the cult are indeed to be henceforth reviled as “flat-earthers.” I particularly liked the way in which the totally impartial at all times BBC commissioned its own poll to show that 75% of people around the globe are “seriously concerned” with Climate Change. I suppose that helps offset the recent poll that almost half the UK population do not buy into the AGW hysteria being peddled day in day out by the BBC. The BBC also intoned that “hopes were rising” that there will be a binding deal at Copenhagen. Whose hopes? Not mine, and I suspect there will be many other people watching this UN-controlled circus anxious that no deal is agreed. It seems to me that the BBC is a key global cheer-leader for what is now happening at Copenhagen and the next two weeks will see it bring all of it’s media force – care of OUR cash -to bear on the advancement of the AGW watermelon agenda.

TUTU WORSHIP

Truly awful programme on BBC1 this morning where investigative journalist Fern Britton visits Desmond Tutu. It is just plain hero worship with Fern declaring that he is one of the great men who changed the history of the last century. The BBC admires Jew-hating Tutu and this sickening programme allows just one point of view – Tutu worship.

Can you imagine how the BBC will handle the day when Mandela finally pops his clogs – I bet we will have solemn music and dark ties. I am no supporter of the wicked Apartheid system but those like Mandela and Tutu should not be portrayed as latter day saints simply because the political left and their media courtiers declare this to be the case.

BBC AIRBRUSHES REALITY

A Biased BBC reader alerts us to this story. It concerns the sentencing of a Polish immigrant for the brutal murder of a young girl here in Northern Ireland. Scroll down the story and have a look at the image of the murdered girl.

“Their priority? To airbrush out of the tragic girl’s fingers the cigarette she was smoking when photographed. Is a non-smoker’s life more important than that of a smoker?”

UPDATE; Thanks to DB for making me aware that whilst this is an airbrushed image, the likelihood is that it was her family that did so. That said, when the BBC uses such airbrushed images from whatever source it seems reasonable that we challenge it.

BBC FAMILY TREES..PART TWO

Chris Hartnett responds…

Oh my days!

I must have really enraged poor Simon MacDonald in the BBC Family Trees post to have him forgo his spellcheck! Given his stating that he really “has no opinions one way or the other” about what I said -which he says he didn`t find in my” foolish drivel” anyway!…I can only quake at the level of abuse I`d be getting if he REALLY had an opinion about it all!

So Simon-let me summarise for you.

1. I`m not alone in thinking that the BBC zealots that proseletyse on “natural selection” as a faith system seem curiously intent on getting the talent from a very small gene pool! I cited Brigstock as an example-and more of him later (not a phrase I thought I`d ever find myself using!)-but if you`re more relaxed about Dimblebys, Taylors,Wrights,Robinsons being my examples then let`s use them. Does that help?

2. These self selecting meritocrats are all too often the commissioning editors for their chums who are adept at the weekend rebellion. Like a Brigstock they will go at taxpayers expense (sorry to be so grudging) by plane to tell we the people of what our annual flight to Magaluf might do to the Inuit! Can`t imagine too many of our opinion formers going to Copenhagen by foot now can we?…but go they will!

3. Thier atheism is not “militant” maybe-but its consequence in the offices and schools of the land sure are! No crucifixes?…a Mandelson but not a Buttiglioni?…why fight on the prep school fields when you can use your slippers and creep through the institutions of Brussels or Bromley instead!

4. Simon ought to have got my point about an Ince or an O`Briain not truly being “edgy and out there “when they`d not “stick it to the man in Bradford, let alone Riyadh.” Christians make cheap targets but they open up churches by the Strand as the aimless controversists (like our Simon even?) milk their” oh so edgy “routines nearby. When Dawkins shows up at his “atheist Alzheimers” care home to cut the tape I`ll be more impressed about his “rational compassion” or whatever he`ll be calling it. He seems to have removed his memes theory from his latest “best seller”-maybe he`s learning he might have been wrong once-and if then…why not now?

I could go on-but Simon needs to know that the BBC are fond of safe celebrations like the recent one at the Berlin Wall when Christians opened their churches for the people of the East to plan-when a Popieluscko(not on my spellcheck!) died for a faith that a true rational great like Havel would value. Paxman could not be found anywhere near the revolutions of 89-none of them!…but still the archive film shows him shouting at Charles Wheeler when the firework display was an-old Reagans bit at the wall previously was left on the shelf, due to lack of time and never “editorial bias”.

Brand and Ross was a watershed-a dry run for the MPs expenses maybe?…but we`ll not be getting that debate on Points of View or Feedback-we might get it on Biased BBC which is why both Simon and I are keen readers! I write because “they`re only words mate!”..and even Nick Griffin deserves sparing from my pathetically weak blog if I`m as bad as you say.Hope you can make the time up you lost in writing to put me right Simon.I`m not worth the medication…honest!
