A HIGHER LEVEL OF BIAS

Did you catch the item on Today @ 7.50am concerning planned government cutbacks in higher education? What struck me was the sympathetic attitude Naughtie took when interviewing Sally Hunt, general secretary of the University College Union and this contrasted with the outright hostility then shown towards Andrew Haldenby of Reform. Not a trace of bias there, right? Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.

WHY SHOPLIFTING IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO…

With the retail stores so busy at the moment, up pops and Anglican cleric Tim Jones who reckons that shoplifting is understandable, if not desirable. Naturally the BBC found a soapbox for him this morning with viewers phoning in to express their delight at this most progressive of vicars. Tim blames “society” for letting thieves down and the BBC seemed delighted to find a Christian minister they can at last … Continue reading

PEACE ON EARTH – GOODWILL TOWARDS IRAN

The BBC just keeps giving when it comes the Mullahs in Tehran. This morning it uncritically covers the latest lies from Ahmadinejad on the topic of Iranian nuclear intentions. Yes, I know the 12th Imam’s dining pal selected US network ABC to use as his conduit for propaganda (Big surprise, the BBC must be gutted) but I would have expected the BBC to at least provide those who suffer under … Continue reading

PEACE ON EARTH, GOODWILL TO HAMAS

I see the BBC has been doing it’s best for those poor innocents that support Hamas. It reports today that “the world” failed Gaza earlier this year. I agree. “The world” should have fully supported Israel as it sought to defend itself from the murderous intent of the Islamic Jihadists that constitute Hamas. But that’s NOT the line being retailed by the BBC this morning. No, you see the issue … Continue reading

CONSPICUOUS BY HIS ABSENCE

The BBC also remains eerily silent (as in the previous posting) on the subject of Dr Rajendra Pachauri, the head of the IPCC, whose multiple business interests linked messily to ‘climate change’ have been the subject of intense scrutiny in the dead tree press and here, here and here. It seems that the good doctor thinks nothing is wrong in being at the head of numerous banking and industrial groups … Continue reading

Arrested Development

The BBC is eerily silent on the subject that The Times and Telegraph both think worth reporting. That is the admission, boast even, by Hamas operative Diya al-Din Madhoun – nice name – that Hamas was responsible for persuading the British courts to issue an arrest warrant for Tzipi Livni for war crimes, should she be bold enough to venture upon British soil. The BBC are, on the whole, admirers … Continue reading

BIAS DOWN UNDER..

Have a read of this from Nick Bryant. It’s his thoughts on Kevin Rudd’s performance at Copenhagen and asks the big question whether Kevin “”24/7” has done enough. It’s gushing tribute piece with the views of the Australian opposition buried away in one sentence. Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.

MCKELLAN ON MARR

I see that Andrew Marr was able to provide gay activitist and luvvie Ian McKellan with a soap-box this morning. McKellan is able to spout all sorts of imagined “homophobic” allegations against our society in general without any challenge from Marr. The BBC is an established forum for the advocacy of gay propaganda. Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.
