FEELING OUR PAIN?

Good old Auntie – always willing to give dour Mr Broon a second and third chance. On this Sunday morning with the rest of the media speculating as to whether Brown even HAS a future (He does, as a rejected politician) the BBC leads with the ridiculous headline “I feel voters pain.” Brown is afforded a non-critical platform from which he dribbles his alibis. The ONLY pain that Brown feels … Continue reading

AFTERMATH.

Well, it’s the morning after as the dust settles and what have the BBC been saying? Well, they have been struggling to get past a sentence about Boris Johnson which does not contain the word “buffoon” for starters. Then we have them giving Jack Straw – the Chemical Ali of the Labour project – being given an easy ride on Today where he was allowed to babble about how great … Continue reading

BYE BYE MR BROON AND AU REVOIR KEN!

Sorry for the lack of output from me here these past few days but normal service is resuming! Hey – have you been following the BBC’s coverage of the Local Council and London Mayoral elections? Some hilarious stuff – did you see Jeremy Vine’s performances late last night? Cringeworthy! Makes Peter Snow seem good. These results must be such a nightmare for Al-Beeb as Labour are humiliated across the country … Continue reading

John from North Carolina

a.k.a. John Hawkins of Right Wing News writes: What’s not OK is that the BBC’s World Have Your Say radio program does something that is very annoying and also, in my opinion, a little dishonest. They have guests on and then they have what sound like callers, who are actually ALSO unidentified guests booked on the show. They have done this to me (and for that matter, other bloggers) before … Continue reading

PRINCE WILLIAM AND THE BBC.

I’m sorry I won’t be able to blog more today but I have other pressures on me however I did want to quickly draw your attention to the way in which John Humphrys introduced an item on Prince William’s flying visit to Afghanistan on the Today programme this morning at around 6.50am. He lined the report up by suggesting that “some people” (ie Beeboids) might say that the reason for … Continue reading

I don’t think they were truly committed to a non-judgemental therapeutic approach to offenders, either.

I thought the caption to the top picture of this piece from Rod Liddle about the sanguinary characters that have occupied both the dock and the bench during the long history of the Old Bailey was rather a laugh. I doubt the caption was written by Liddle; he has his faults but prissiness isn’t one of them. [CORRECTION: “Newshour” points out that it is Rob, not Rod Liddle who wrote … Continue reading

JERSEY – IS IT HELL ON EARTH?

Nobody would condone the abuse of children and I would hope that any individuals involved in such depravity are given the maximum punishment available. But do you think the BBC really has it in for Jersey? I see another story being run today on the arrest of a pensioner on rape and indecent assault allegations going back thirty years. This arrest has got nothing to do with the ongoing investigation … Continue reading

We Know Where You Live …

Is it just me, or is the BBC’s current ‘It’s all in the database‘ money-with-menaces ad wonderfully Orwellian ? The background siren, the dog barking, the knock on the door ? This site has an interesting video of a licensing official stepping perhaps beyond his remit. Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.

THOSE WICKED CAPITALISTS.

None of us, I suspect, enjoys paying high prices for our petrol, but the announcement by Shell and BP of record profits this morning has been met by official dismay at the BBC. All morning there has been studied rumination over just how greedy these oil companies really are and why it is that with such large profits they cannot lower the price of the petrol that they sell on … Continue reading
