LONDON’S BURNING…

BBC coverage of the Tottenham thuggery has been utterly appalling. I note they have virtually lionised the “young man” Mark Duggan tragically killed whilst…erm…trying to murder a Police Officer, allegedly. Now we get the usual dross about looking for the “deeper reasons” behind the riots. I blame Thatcher – how about you? Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.

COLD UNTRUTHS

A British school party goes on an outing to a part of Norway where there are polar bears to study the effects of global warming. It’s so cold up there that the trip wires meant to protect campers from the bears are frozen. The result is that tragically, a member of the party is mauled to death and a polar bear is shot dead by these “conservationists”. Richard North paints … Continue reading

KAY GRAVY TRAIN

As esteemed B-BBC contributor David Preiser has repeatedly noted, one of the main BBC denigrators of the Tea Party movement is the US bureau’s Katty Kay. See here for an explanation of her venom. Ms Kay, as an activist liberal and Obama lover, is also – naturally – a climate change zealot, as David points out here. But that’s not Ms Kay’s only involvement in greenie/lefty issues. Donna LaFramboise does … Continue reading

U.S. Downgraded – BBC Reporting Fails

It’s happened. Standard & Poor’s has downgraded the United States’ credit rating to AA+ for the first time in history. Worse still, they have a negative outlook on the country fixing things in the near future enough to restore AAA confidence. Earlier this week, Moody’s re-affirmed its AAA rating for the US, but also placed a negative outlook on maintaining that status. Fitch takes the same unhappy view. Let’s be … Continue reading

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE DOWN’S SYNDROME ASSOCIATION

Further to yesterday’s blog post, the Down’s Syndrome Association has issued the following statement: DSA make official complaint following Richard Bacon’s Radio 5 Live Show The Down’s Syndrome Association is shocked that a BBC employee has publicised the work of a comedian which is nothing more than a vile offensive rant and conflicts with BBC guidelines which state a responsibility to ‘protect the vulnerable and avoid unjustifiable offence’. During Richard … Continue reading

"BETTER THAN EXPECTED"?

Honestly, the BBC’s refusal to countenance the serial failure of Obama’s policies just continues in every manifestation imaginable. This afternoon they intone, “Instability on the stock markets has continued, despite better-than-expected US jobs figures.” Now I’m not sure what the BBC was expecting from the USA but the 9.1% unemployment rate is just about what everybody has been predicting over the past few days. I’m not sure where the BBC … Continue reading

MORE INCONVENIENT TRUTHS

Well then, the BBC has a problem. Despite Obama’s heroic raising of the Debt Ceiling and despite the best efforts of our wise rulers in the EU, financial markets decided yesterday that they no longer can trust the hollow promises from Washington and Brussels.Markets are in free fall – how to deal with? Well, this morning they wheeled on that old fraud Romani Prodi to try and explain things. He … Continue reading

INCONVENIENT TRUTHS

Those who the BBC labels climate deniers have been saying it along: we do not have enough accurate data to decide with certainty whether recent low levels of arctic summer ice are unusual. Richard Black, though, the BBC’s environment correspondent, has been a cheerleader (and here, and here) for alarmist models that say a “tipping point” will soon be reached and the summer ice will vanish forever because of nasty … Continue reading

AND ANOTHER THING….

This bothered me greatly earlier today. It concerns the whinging of a bunch of lefties who the BBC alleges have dealt the a blow to  the government’s inquiry into allegations that British security services were complicit in torture and rendition. In the first instance I am enraged that the BBC goes with the meme that our security forces are supportive of torture but also listen to the contrasting treatment afforded Clare … Continue reading
