GHOST TOWN

I see the BBC are celebrating the Specials “Ghost Town” from all those years ago when the wicked Thatcher ruled the land and oppressed the poor. I remember buying it as a child (!) but one wonders WHY the BBC choose to drool over those times now? Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.

OPEN BORDERS

It’s always important to remember that when it comes to the BBC, impartiality is in their DNA. It’s one reason why they are so special. Anyhoo….A BBBC reader observes….“Evan Davies wants usto allow in more immigrants…nice that he has a BBC programme…and a helpful spot onthe news Frontpage to broadcast his own views in highly emotive language asusual:  ‘There right in front of us were dozens of young men walking … Continue reading

HOW THE DEAD FUND THE BBC..

I found this email from a Biased BBC reader interesting… “Just renewed my TVlicence. Last year I paid in full in one payment. This year I decided to renew online.Went on the web site and what first struck me was that the site seemedto promote the monthly direct debit option. I clicked on this method of payment. However going through the process it seemed that the monthly payments shown onthe screen … Continue reading

GREEN JACKBOOTS AND PENSION FUNDS

It’s 18 months ago since I revealed that the investment strategy of the BBC pension fund is run on a day-to-day by Peter Dunscombe, who was then the chair of the steering committee of the Institutional Investor Group on Climate Change (IIGC) an allegiance of climate change fanatics who now boast that between them, they manage $12 trillion of assets. Mr Dunscombe openly flaunts his own climate change credentials, as … Continue reading

The wrong sort of diversity

The BBC has made an effort in recent years to portray characters in contemporary drama who just happen to be black, Muslim, homosexual or disabled. How often do you see a character in a drama who just happens to be Christian? Those Christians you do get in BBC drama come in two types. Both can be illustrated by examples from EastEnders: we have long had the slightly mad old dear, … Continue reading

STINKING TO HIGH HEAVEN

Richard Black has posted yet another warmist homily, this time rubbishing the widely-reported claims here and here that a fall in solar activity could lead to a medium-term fall in global temperatures. The claims originate from a warmist organisation and he can’t therefore use his usual ploy of shooting the messenger. So his first tactic is to say that the relevant paper is not yet “peer reviewed”. Not everyone in … Continue reading

IN THE COURSE OF DUTY…

Fascinating. A BBC reporter has been detained in Tajikistan for allegedly participating in a banned Islamic group and using his position to promote its extreme ideology. Oh my, what a surprise! “BBC radio correspondent Urunbay Usmonov, 50, was detained for membership in the illegal movement Hizb ut-Tahrir,” Makhmadullo Asadulloyev, a spokesman for the interior ministry in the former Soviet republic, confirmed on Wednesday. Mr Usmonov “was engaged in extremist propaganda and campaigning for … Continue reading

MORE BIGOTRY…

The BBC is eerily silent – as usual – about the Exocet attack by warmist Mark Lynas in which he notes that the IPCC deployed Greenpeace evidence to justify a preposterous claim that 80% of the world’s energy could be derived from renewables by 2050. The report has been ripped to shreds piece by piece on the blogsphere over the last 48 hours. Yet, surprise, surprise, Richard Black was obscenely … Continue reading

PAR FOR THE COURSE…

The BBC’s self-declared flagship of so-called quality journalism, Panorama, has been found seriously lacking by the BBC Trust. In short, it fabricated evidence disgracefully in order to attack Primark, a store which the boys and girls at the BBC no doubt view with horror because it provides cheap, affordable clothes for the masses. I know from personal experience that the BBC Trust will normally go to the ends of the earth … Continue reading
