ROSSY SANITISED?

I see that BBC Trust report into Manuelgate is due out later today. I’m sure that Wossy will be excused any further punishment beyond the minor slap on the wrist he has been given. I will be on the BBC this morning here in Northern Ireland and I will be demanding that Ross have his obscene contract terminated forthwith and that this incident highlights the entire credibility of the license-tax which is then used to fund the likes of Brand and Wossy. Talk to you later.

If he is that good, I am sure that the private sector media will cough up another £18m for him, but in the meantime, the British license taxpayer demands that he be sacked. He’s lewd, crude, a bully, a sycophant and not worth a damn. As for his musical tastes, too Bowie-esque.

I feel sorry for the professional sycophants who made a good living out of sitting around Ross and falling about laughing at his every utterance.

Mind you, it was a good thing they were there; without them, there was no way of telling where the ‘funny’ bits of the show were.

Ross –what a comic genius! I for one miss his hilarious monologuers about his farting dog (no I don’t mean his wife), his latent homosexuality, his dress sense and his penile problems. Ross was a one trick pony –he likes the sound of his own voice too much–so do I but the British public don’t pay me £6 million a year!!!

Whatever happened to personal responsibility? The ultimate editorial failings were Brand and Ross’s. It was out of their mouths that the comments came.

Brand at least made a reasonable stab at falling on his sword. Ross has not.

It’s not just Ross. I find Richard Tait irritatingly smug. All talk.

If Ross really is so employable, the BBC should have let him go. I’m sure he could earn a decent living advertising something which suits his brand of humour – colostomy bags for example.

I liked the quip about professional sycophants. When I listen to those ‘edgy comedians’ on Radio 4, I wouldn’t have a clue where the funny bits are. There are two clear signs though: the first being when ‘Boosh’ is said, and then the tittering leftist low-brows erupting as if on-cue.

They should sack Ross and idiot who signed his contract.

Seems that no-one is owning up to having signed Ross’s contract.

The Evening Standard reckoned it might be Alan Yentob, but when they rang the BBC press office to verify, they were told “It is not the role of BBC directors or executives to be involved in contract negotiations.”

Really? What do BBC directors or executives do then, leave it to the tea lady?

Actually, regarding TVL and how to avoid them, I’m getting really annoyed with them of late.

They haven’t sent me a single letter and not a single agent has turned up at my door in the past year.

I even bought a Blue Ray player recently and had it sent to my home address. Not so much as a word out of TVL.

Can anyone give me advice on how I can possibly attract TV Licensing to my door, so I can have the gratification of insulting them and slamming the door in their face.

I have NEVER paid my telly license. Don’t I deserve at least SOME hassle from TVL?

What is more worrying then anything else is the BBC Trusts comment that they have no power to sack employees of the BBC.

What is the point of having this unelected Trust which is supposed to control the BBC if they have had their claws removed?.

I found this blog by David Hepworth (former BBC employee) saying that the BBC is great as Humphreys savaged the BBC boss this morning. Who wouldn’t have she was a moron? The first comments are unbelievable. They like it so much, they can pay a subscription for it. Then we’ll see how popular it is.

That blog describes Emily Bell as “new generation” – and therefore critical of the licence fee principle.

That’s odd. I think I recall her when she was an eager young journalist covering the broadcasting and satellite industries back in the late 1980s. She is 42. No spring chicken – but she was a good egg. Hardly a radical – just an efficient journalist / new media editor. Probably better than 95% of the BBC’s journalism cadre.

David, perhaps some of the lurking beeboids could answer the following; According to Private Eye, the production company for Ross’s show have been compensated by the BBC. How much was paid in compensation and, as head of the company, how much did Ross receive whilst ‘under suspension without pay’?
