JEREMY HEARTS JEREMY

Seen this?

A left-wing comedian has said he was told by the Labour party that he could not vote in its leadership election. Jeremy Hardy said he paid £3 to become a Labour member in order to become eligible to vote, but that he has supported other parties in the past. He said he received a letter sent to people who are turned down, which said Labour had reason to believe that he “didn’t support the aims and values” of the party.

Hardy supports Corby – shock horror – and is a stalwart of what passes for comedy on the BBC. This is the funniest thing he has ever said.

You mean he wasn’t a member of the party until recently ? You would have thought he could afford £3 out of what the BBC pays him !

As somebody remarked the other day, if UKIP were behaving as idiotically as Labour, the BBC would be ripping them to shreds. As it is, R4’s so-called ‘news’ programmes have become undiluted sob sessions, oozing concern for this pack of amateurish charlatans.

Will the Labour Party be returning Jeremy Hardy his three quid? I see an embarrassing law suit pending for false advertising.

The BBC needs to man-up (can I say that?) and come to terms with Labour’s defeat in the General Election.

The BBC should take counselling from their chosen charitable organisations and those who call themselves “”friends””.

The BBC would be best advised to find new interests other than the Labour Party. This option may create fears of alienation from supportive allies but this is a short-term issue that can and should be resisted.

The optimum way forward would be for the Head of BBC to meet the chap who calls himself ”Dover Sentry” and share beers with a few WW2 veterans.
Sense may prevail, but I doubt it.
