This is what Tommy Robinson is up against:

” I got a call from the police earlier this week.
They said we had to have an urgent meeting.
When we met up they warned me of a new credible threat to my life.
Someone threatened to murder me — again.
I don’t think the police even care.

When I was assaulted on the campaign trail, police officers actually fled the scene. They didn’t make any arrests — instead, they retreated.

South Wales police even liked a social media post of me being attacked.

And the media is even worse.

They’ve promoted the idea of me being attacked by laughing at us and playing down the assaults against me. The mainstream media have even gone as far as defending the violent agitators who assaulted me and then lying about me too.

The Guardian published a gross interview with a young Muslim agitator who assaulted me. They tried to make the violent agitator out to be a victim!

Because of them, I now have a new credible threat to my life.

So, now I’ve needed to purchase more security and even get stab and bulletproof body armour to protect me during the campaign.

And because this is for the campaign, I need your help to raise the money to pay for the armour and security.”

I like Tommy – I’ve even bought two of his books for my Kindle.

However, he is his own worst enemy, and becoming a liability. I know he’s had his problems with the police, the government, and the media.

He clearly isn’t going to get much more help, or traction from anyone, even though most of us are sympathetic to his plight, and the obvious campaign against him. Any organisation he joins, far from being an asset, he is a liability.

Perhaps in his own interests, and ours, he should take a step backwards, for a while, and re-assess his position.

That’s only my opinion, unpopular though it may be.

I don’t see your view as unpopular . Playing the ‘ victim’ card too many times doesn’t do anyone any good .

He is a victim of the media – whatever he does or says will be spun negatively as they fear him so much for being outside the ‘ bubble ‘

He is a brave man irrespective of his flaws .

Old Goat and Fedup2 , so you are unhappy with TR ‘playing the victim card’ as you complain and comment from your cosy front room ! Perhaps he should ‘shut up for the sake of diversity’ as Naz Shah once so eloquently said!!

Thank you for your comment and the advice to ‘shut up’ . I take it that you are an unquestioning TR fan. Good for you .

But telling people to ‘shut up’ isn’t going to take your cause much further is it ?

As I said TR is a brave man . The British state and media is against him .

Your assumption that I am in a front room which is cosy is wrong – and suggests an image of me which is quite a way from the truth . .

            … I’m actually on a beach . It’s about 25 degrees …. oh look there’s a cloud …????

And I just wish spurs well against jif or Ajax later …

Fed, hold on a sec’. I think if you re-read what Wink1 was saying, he was referring to the remarks made by Naz Shah when she said the victims of grooming gangs should “shut up for the sake of diversity.”
For what it’s worth, I admire Tommy enormously. He’s brave far beyond the point of common sense. And I attended both the Whitehall demonstrations organised to get him released from prison. However, there’s no doubt that politically he is a liability. His reputation has been so tarnished (a lot of it unfairly by our revolting media) that middle England…and that’s UKIPs bedrock support, won’t have anything to do with him.
I like the bloke and I admire him.
              But…

I re read it . I stick with what I said – which was thar playing the ‘victim card ‘ too many times can back fire. Absolutely no doubt that there are large number of enemies of Britain who wish to do TR harm . I’ve seen the footage of him being pursued whilst on holiday and a police surveillance van outside his house and plod scarpering when challenged .

But I won’t be told to ‘shut up ‘ by anyone using this site . I’ve had enough of that in real life …

There are times when it is important, really REALLY important, to be clever with your tactics.

Right now, TR and UKIP are doing neither.

The Christ-ian imperative to ‘be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves’ works really well, too, for unbelievers in the secular world.

After the ‘Judiciously unfair’ treatment of Tommy Robinson last year, it would really have been better for him – in my view – to have gone quite for a while. Let the Attorney-General sort out his case. Get through any re-trial. Stay quiet politically (and away from UKIP) and maybe get a formal journalism qualification in order to put the MSM’s nose really out of joint.

Instead of that we are where we are.

                    – UKIP is being attacked because of Tommy Robinson.
                    – Tommy Robinson is being attacked because of UKIP and the EUroElection.
                    – Gerrard Batten is being attacked by the media because of TR and it seems that he has possibly now had enough. He had already promised to stand down for a confirmatory leadership election but apparently is undecided whether to stand, according to his statement to BBC R4.

The EUro Elections are really important for Brexit.

                    Does all this help?

                    I think not.

Old Goat – reluctantly, I must agree. N Farage knew what he was doing when he distanced himself from UKIP and TR and, true to form, TR managed to deliver a punch on election day. Excellent. Clearly he was targeted, but that is nothing new.

TR has an important message, and I agree with Fedup2 that he is a brave man. I have also read his book on the Koran. However, Farage understands that a political party has to appeal to the electorate the way it is, not the less hypocritical way it would like it to be.

Carl Benjamin, in one of his recent street interviews (in Bristol or Gloucester, I think), explains very well how middle class people find it easy to reject the opinions of working class people because they do not frame their arguments in a way that the middle class approves of. They are totally oblivious to just how prejudiced they are. That is the problem.

the way I’ve always thought of Tommy Robinson is this. Full marks for his bravery and his determination & resilience standing up against the threats & the constant abuse etc. however the man Frames his arguments all wrong & his reaction to a Milkshake over his face was to start throwing punches…silly….However take into account there was a very possibility the milkshake was not a milkshake and something more sinister.

Nigel saw the hold the MSM had on individuals like Tommy and knew if he aligned himself with Tommy, he would be pulled into that murky world as well and would constantly be defending actions of the past instead of promoting actions for future.

Am not sure if this is UK-facing content?

    http://www.bbc.com/travel/gallery/20190507-the-nordic-woman-with-the-right-to-roam

    But anyway it says

“Sweden celebrates the right to roam freely in the country’s nature, and women aren’t afraid to embrace the tradition alone – even in the most remote locations.”

“Sweden is a safe country by global standards and champions gender equality, which means that many women are inspired to embrace the right to roam and spend their free time outdoors.”

Which is a hot take by anyone’s standards.

Women in the UK also seem to go walking. The rapist immigrant hordes don’t live in the Yorkshire Moors, or frozen Lapland. They are in the cities.

It has nothing to do with Swedish gender equality but the basic fact that, well, you are less likely to suffer crime in areas that haven’t been ‘enriched’.

“Why We Rule is a series that follows powerful women who have pioneered the path to female sovereignty and are truly rulers of their worlds.”

Ah yes, ‘powerful women’ enjoying traditional Swedish culture.

Isn’t this essentially Nazi propaganda – Aryan women enjoying the outdoors? Seems it is ok in BBC la-la land, if you call it ‘female empowerment’

Much is being made by the BBC and the Guardindependent of TBP’s current lack of a manifesto. ‘What are their long-term plans? How could they hope to gain power? It’s a one-man band’ and so on and on. And the critics from all the established parties are joining in with the enthusiasm normally associated with children.
What they are ignoring are the events of the past 20 years or so, in which our country has been deliberately and spitefully over-run, our NHS massively overburdened, our national infrastructure at the point of collapse and the banking system rescued by billions of taxpayers money. And that’s just New Labour’s contribution.
Currently we enjoy the benefits and expertise of such irreplaceable politicians as Chris Grayling, Damian Green, Phillip Hammond, Anna Soubry, Dominic Grieve and Allan Duncan, all headed by the unique talents of Teresa May. Opposite there’s Corbyn, McDonnell, Abbott, Lucas and Cable.
So they’re right. Who could possibly contest such immense political statespersons? Who could even begin to do better? Who might run the country with more flair, business acumen, patriotism and pride?

That’s perhaps the distinction between a ‘Democracy’ i.e. the people rule and a ‘Republic’ which adheres to law. For some while now, the UK has clandestinely moved from a democracy to a republic. So, ‘voila’, the ‘manifesto’ becomes irrelevant or, as someone beneath describes, ‘a fig leaf’. UK democracy was dead and buried many years ago.

Further to observations about Archie being a gangster name, I just remembered the niggling fact trying to emerge which is the lovely Archie MacDonald, the Laird of Glenbogle in the series ‘Monarch of the Glen’. We have been watching some of the box set really as an antidote to, well, I don’t know really, everything. It might deteriorate towards the end but so far it is refreshingly non PC and it was a BBC series.

The Laird in the series is an ‘Archibald’ as supposedly christened which prompts the thought that the royals are supposed to have proper names that the vicar wouldn’t object to at the christening ceremony. Neither Archie or Harrison qualify.

I just watched yesterday’s Brexit Party rally at Peterborough on YouTube.

In a day it’s had only 725 views, 30 likes and 11 comments. Not sure how that’s even possible. Could it be that Google is fiddling with the views by making the video hard to get to? I struggled to find it via a Google search and eventually got to it by searching on YouTube itself.

Anyway, it was a smashing rally with the venue bursting at the seams and many fine speeches. I understand from Roland Deschain on the previous page that the BBC gave priority to a poorly-attended Change UK event, rather than the Brexit Party.

The BBC is becoming more and more irrelevant to anyone wanting news that matters when it matters.

Update on the Brexit Party rally:

It’s now had 842 views, 34 likes and 12 comments.

A few relevant ones from yesterday:

This is crazy, only 146 views and 3 comments, but we know this is the hottest party right now! Thanks for uploading. Not sure about the first speaker who voted to remain. He might be another Sarah Wollaston.

The Twitter feed had over 30k views at the end. There was over 22k viewers during Widders bit. It was 27k when Nigel was about to start. Many many people are watching.

pass the message check out the cuk party meeting with about 30 people in attendance

I used different key words for a Google search and found many more uploads of the rally but none with more than 1 800 views.

That really is very weird indeed.

The radiating temperature of Venus is 1.176 times that of the Earth. Coincidence they said, until in 2011, Ned Nikolov & Karl Zeller, produced the “Unified Theory of Climate”.
Then someone pointed out that James Clerk Maxwell proposed something like this in his 1871 book “Theory of Heat” saying that the temperature of a planet depends only on gravity, mass of the atmosphere, and heat capacity of the atmosphere.

It makes the BBC, politicians, environmentalists and a sixteen year old girl, look like low IQ charlatans and fools, and puts in jeopardy a trillion dollar renewable energy business, which has become a vampiric drain on humanity.  Nikolov and Zeller have not been rewarded for making the greatest discovery in climatology in the 21st Century.  Instead, they have faced censorship. Just started the short book, ‘The Red Trojan Horse – A concise Analysis of Cultural Marxism’ written by, Alasdair Elder. His simple explanation of the main tenet of Cultural Marxism is, “Critical Theory” (not to be confused with Critical Analysis). Sounds complicated and a subject which you would not tempt an advocate to explain. However, Elder put’s it very simply: “Critical Theory just means to criticize…….ceaselessly”. Totally sums up our “Worlds Most Trusted” If I am not mistaken.

Critical Theory is part of how the ‘long march’ strategy works.

Take some established institution in which the public sees as a necessary and useful service, the police or army for instance.

Criticise it for not having enough black people. Get the standards lowered for entry. Employ more diversity bureaucrats. Repeat the process for women, gays, trans etc.

Pretty soon the reason why the service originally existed (fighting crime, defending borders) will have been cynically turned into its exact opposite.

The point is to destroy the effectiveness of those institutions. The same applies to teaching, the courts and justice system, any Government ministry, local councils/quangos etc. This has all been going on since the 1970’s if not before.

The ‘criticism’ of Critical Theory never proposes any reasonable solutions – it’s always a demand for ‘equality and justice’ no matter the cost. The criticism is only to point out the deficiencies.

So the solution ends up with us having a police force much more interested in wrongthink than burglary, attending LGBT rallies than knife murder, and exhibiting their political ‘impartiality’ as shown with Anna Soubry and Tommy Robinson.

Always good to remind ourselves of these points. What I think is noticeable is just how successful critical theory has been and how deep it has infiltrated so many institutions and everyday thinking. I see it everywhere.

What’s also noticeable is that we’re watching two tectonic plates slowly colliding. The one that’s hell bent on deconstructing everything and where all truth is relative; the other is a cast iron religious belief system where truth is inviolable and absolute.

It should be fairly obvious to anyone with an understanding of culture and psychology that sparks would fly when the two meet, but it seems our great leaders prefer to live in la la land.

The BBC continues with its blatant, disgusting cover-up of the Rotherham rape gangs scandal.
This morning’s ITV breakfast show carried a quite detailed report about the National Crime Agency’s latest revelation that another 40 people are being investigated over child sex abuse there dating back 20 years. They said the scale of systematic abuse was probably even bigger than previously thought.
So I thought I’d flip over to the state broadcaster to see how they were covering this shocking story – nothing!
And where is it on the biased BBC website? Well, if you dig quite deep you will eventually find seven paragraphs in the second item in the South Yorkshire sub section to the Yorkshire section of the Regional news.
Nothing on the home page, nothing changes, no editorial integrity whatsoever. Utterly appalling standards, and we can only conclude that this is a deliberate policy to deceive.

UK flood planners ‘must prepare for worst’

There are stark warnings about the effects of climate change, with suggestions entire communities could be forced to move because of the risk of floods. Launching a consultation on its strategy, Environment Agency chairwoman Emma Howard Boyd says that with global temperatures set to rise between 2C and 4C by 2100, some £1bn a year might need to be spent on flood management.

“We can’t win a war against water by building away climate change with infinitely high flood defences,” she argues, calling for homes in at-risk areas to be adapted with raised electrics, hard flooring and flood doors. Environmental group Friends of the Earth agrees that “resilience-building” is important but says tackling the causes of climate change should be the priority.

Last year, the independent Committee on Climate Change warned up to 1.2 million homes could be at risk from coastal floods by 2080. Want to understand why UK floods are on the rise? Check out our guide. And you can brush up on your climate change background in our handy Q&A .

    ***

The deeds for our home go back to the sixteenth century. Despite living near a river, it has never flooded.

Upriver, councils keep building affordable housing on flood plains, apparently unaware of what the name suggests.

So they then ‘keep building ever higher flood defences’ to protect these new communities.

    Which sends more water downstream..

Such councils are the ones who declare climate emergencies because men in ponytails tell kids to shout at them on Fridays.

And the BBC remains as idiotic as ever.

GW, I have similar experiences. One of our homes was protected by a simple flood protection scheme designed by monks one thousand years ago to protect wells used to make beer. The council built new flood defences and guess which parts of the town flooded and which were perfectly ok.

      • BigBrotherCorporation says:

Ditto. Our home is perched on a hill, as are all the homes locally over 40/50 years old. Which was traditional in this part of the West Country, we’re surrounded by old Celtic hill forts, Saxon hill settlements, Roman villas (on hillsides), and Norman castle towns (on hilltops) etc…

Over the last 30 years, or so, they’ve filled in the gaps in between high ground with thousands of new homes (to house ex-Londoners fleeing the city and the jobless benefit scroungers with dozens of kids shipped out of the cities). Nearly all these new houses being built on old water meadows, flood plains, and river valleys, and mostly without any real green space, soakaways, culverts, ditches, or ponds between them – in fact, those are routinely filled in and built over so they can cram a few more rabbit hutches in.

Now, apparently, flooding locally is far worse… ‘cos of global warming, and for some reason, it’s always these new homes at the bottom of the valleys that get flooded.

There are also concerns for local wetland wildlife: birds, amphibians, bats etc… which seem to have declined in numbers, for some mysterious reason.

Can’t help thinking it’s all connected somehow, if only I could work it out…

The big question for Emma Howard Boyd: are the Environment Agency now going to properly manage water courses and areas of standing water in future?

That means dredging, clearing debris, plant and sub-surface growth. Intensive, country-wide, regular work, year after year and sometimes requiring very heavy equipment.

Some rather troubling information is coming to light about the anti Brexit party ‘Change UK’ with allegations that a senior member Mike Gapes has let slip the party is receiving funding direct from the EU.

    https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2019/05/listen-mike-gapes-caught-out-over-change-uk-funding/

Gapes gave a disastrous interview to LBC when he accused Nigel Farage of accepting donations from dodgy sources, but unlike the BBC Iain Dale challenged Gapes to provide evidence of his accusations which he was of course unable to do.

    https://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/iain-dale/mike-gapes-slammed-outrageous-brexit-party-funding/

Inspecting House of Commons register reveals that Gapes is no stranger to dodgy donation himself having accepted thousands of pounds in benefits from our old friend the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    https://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/10219/mike_gapes/ilford_south

He is not alone, it appears many of our poorly paid MPs have accepted ‘inducements’ from Saudi with one MP being paid £46 000 as a ‘consultant’ to the Kingdom. Others have accepted expensive gifts, bending the rules to allow themselves to accept them in some cases.

    https://www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/dozens-of-mps-flown-to-riyadh-in-saudi-charm-offensive

This funding was extended by Saudi’s Shura Council.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consultative_Assembly_of_Saudi_Arabia

Bribery and corruption is always a risk when people are in power, however when those people are not paid properly for the job they do then the risks become even greater.

There can be no doubt here that the Change UK party has some serious questions to answer regarding the source of its funding, and on top of that we see yet again Saudi Arabia mixed up in it all providing financial inducement for the Islamisation of Britain.

Don’t forget the BBC sacked Kenny Everett for much less:

In 1965 he was sacked after some outspoken remarks about religion on air.

In 1970 Everett was sacked by the BBC for making a jibe about Mary Peyton, the wife of the then Minister of Transport, after she had taken her driving test – “She only passed because she slipped him a fiver – I know these people”.

The BBC took him back, but in 1984 he made another unfortunate joke, albeit one handed him on a piece of paper by his producer:

“When England was an empire,” he gurgled, “we had an emperor, when we were a kingdom, we had a king, and now we are a country, we’ve got Margaret Thatcher.”

(Despite this being a note being passed to him by a producer, and his well known support for the Tories)
Which is probably why he was sacked in the first place.
