As a volunteer administrator for this website I’d like to apologise for the ‘IT’ trouble . The platform which runs Biased BBC still feels ‘shaky ‘ so beware of lost posts if your are composing lengthy ones ….

When the media sulk, they REALLY sulk.
Maybe Lewis could sneak into BS’ hold-all next pond jump for the Americast?
Fedup, you don’t have to apologise for the IT, we are just grateful for you and those others who run the site. Anyone who criticises should ask if they could do better and offer to help.
Hear, hear !
Me too. This is a valuable site
GW and all -thanks. But it’s a bit sad that the software stuff isn’t wholly reliable and a bit clunky – and that we may lose comments as a result ….
No connection. Other than how media react.
Simply halt ‘stop and search’ in Brent Central and let the blacks get on with it. That sort of policy worked (and is still) for the POTUS in Communist/democrat cities.
Cressida would probably confirm all these three were female.
I apologise if this has already been mentioned, I have skimmed back over yesterday’s thread and can’t see it but may have missed it . Not the BBC but ITV for which I also apologise. I recorded the ‘life of Captain Tom moore’ yesterday and just watched it. I thought it might be about Britain as it used to be. Indeed it was until 3/4 of the way though for no other reason apart from the fact that otherwise there would be no mention of blacks in the programme, they suddenly start going on about how ‘ Britain needed a helping hand’ so blacks came to the rescue in the 1960’s’ leading into a section about how important blacks and Pakistanis were to Britain and how badly they were treated . What the %%% had this to do about anything ???. You can imagine them all at their desks ( sorry, in their zooms) at the BBC ITV SKY etc making sure that every program somehow has blacks or Muslims in it and finding ways to fit them in making sure no program ever gets out about straight white British people alone.
I think the BBC narrative is that when Labour got rid of Grammar Schools in working class areas and introduced Progressive state education. Then effectively everyone brainwashed by left-wing teaching methods in these Labour areas, effectively became uneducated. So the Labour Government had to import people from countries that still had a traditional education system inherited from the British Empire.
This has now infected British Universities to the point were almost everyone employed by the BBC is effectively uneducated. That’s why they cant intellectually cope with our complains.

I’ve been collecting data from the BBC website on an ad hoc basis for about three years now. Not sure what I am going to do with it all but it has given me an understanding of what the BBC is about.
The BBC wokeness came from the US & British University system which has spread out to infiltrate other institutions through its graduates. So the “BBC bias” is a reflection of what is happening elsewhere in our society.
However as the BBC is clearly not meeting its charter obligations and is now just a propaganda outlet it is justifiable to call for it to be defunded.
Alex ranting against lefties closing down free speech
Is anyone aware of the following?
It began a few years back with “Things Not To Say To Muslims” and it has grown from there.
Reminds me of a certain ‘reporter’ after the Tottenham riots.
The comments suggest MSM efforts at telling it often enough are backfiring.
Ofcom talk rubbish anyway, their questions are rubbish
“Trusted source ” is a fallacy , cos one should look at the evidence presented and omitted .. not just accept ANY source
The top line numbers are the sample size ..they are not very big
Bay missed the last line ..Impartiality rating
“Research from media regulator Ofcom has rated the Guardian as the most trusted newspaper in the UK among regular readers.”
says the Guardian article ..cherrypicking
Westmonster have a video
He trusts Ofcom’s stats .. I don’t
99% of people know the BBC is criminally not impartial
“Those who do not learn from history are compelled to relive it”
1938 – The Reichsminister for Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, has rated the Nazi daily newspaper, Völkischer Beobachter, as the most trusted newspaper in Germany among regular readers.
1962 – The Soviet Politburo has announced that Pravda is the most trusted newspaper in the USSR among regular readers.
2020 – The discredited media regulator Ofcom has rated the Guardian as the most trusted
toilet papernewspaper in the UK among derangedregular readers.
‘among regular readers’ yes that’s because their readers all have same mindset…other papers are read by people who are prepared to have alternative views..
Yes that highlights the problem with their cherrypick
Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner
Has a ring to it, doesn’t it? It could become the title for a new series of regular posts. I’m sorry I got bored with the repetitive nature of my former series “Today’s Murder”. We’ll see how this one goes.
Taking in the sights on a stroll down by the turn-off from the dual carriageway, beside the cheery roadside floral tributes and the silver glint of discarded nitrous oxide canisters in the gutters, one passes the shovel-ready projects waived through planning permission by our borough council. There’s not much of note beside the modular homes under the flyover for the homeless (that’ll make some of them feel at home, since we call them homeless I guess they’ve been living under bridges?) and let’s not overlook the mosque expansion. Or is that rapidly evolving building still known as the Islamic community centre – I think that was last year?
Private enterprise is pitching in to help exacerbate the housing crisis by selling something they like to term ‘garden homes’ that are really glorified backyard sheds. Well, haven’t we all got that awkward cousin from Karachi, or wherever, who insists on coming for a long visit and arrives with his entire family in tow. Now you can put them all up in your garden home. Think of purchasing a garden home as something akin to us old Cockneys having that couple of spare garden chairs you used to bring indoors so as to fit all nine round the table for Christmas dinner. If we all just budged up a bit there’d be room for an almost infinite number of us around the table. And it was only for the one day. Happy days.

But the full ShadowGate video is here
As it’s VJ Day, and we will be maintaining two minutes silence at 11.00am to commemorate our victory in Asia, and also, maybe, get into it all a bit deeper and think of Slim and Wingate, who masterminded the whole operation, I just want to slam the BBC for failing in their duty to remember, and reproduce Rudyard Kipling’s great poem, ‘The Road to Mandalay’.
Ian Rushlow, on a previous post, inspired me to get very interested in this, so I hope he won’t be offended if I reproduce the performance here, on such an important day.
Eloquent in its understatement. And application elsewhere.

Of course the bbc did not have time or space for the full story.

“It’s worth remembering that non-EU immigration was a record 600,000 last year (larger than the population of Edinburgh – see our statistics page).”
Should anyone get their knickers in a twist over a likely mere 7500 arriving across the channel in all of 2020 in comparison to the 600000 apparently legits?
That’s probably why the Government is not anxious to practically do anything to those crossing the channel – a mere drop in the ocean and well within our Labour/Globalist Government’s continuing policy on immigration and murder/rape.
Toady A level results whinge-athon update
They found someone who wanted to be a vet but had her results downgraded by 2-3 grades. AND her parents have broken up so she is apparently homeless.
65 million people in the country and the BBC focus on her.
I wonder why?
I am so sick oh hearing the whinging students…and Labour and BBC all banging on about the A levels..BBC actually interviewed a sensible young lady on Thursday who did not give them the answers they wanted – despite not getting the grades that were predicted – she won’t be asked back.
Apparently on Question Time, one of the whingers accused the Education minister of ruining her life…it sounds like when Brexit voters won…
But why is nobody asking why are teacher predictions always too high…surely that is where the error is….? That needs improving….not grade inflation to pander to the ‘weak minded – I deserve generation….’
Completely agree. See below for an attempt to contextualise…..
Teachers assessments are always high because it pays them to have high pass % amongst their pupils. The individual teacher and the school benefits. In the old days , fifty years ago, teachers had no input as everything depended on the exam result which was marked independently and then moderated so that approx the same number of pupils out of the thousands sitting the exam got A, B, C , D etc each year. Then the education lobby got hold of it and within a few decades it became a degraded fiasco.
How such featured vox popettes appear on the BBc is always interesting.
Did a cubicle gardner stop a random moppet from jumping off a bridge and learn their sorry tale?
Did the QT underage research team slip a few live ones across?
Or did a collection of curiously exotic-sounding tiger parents call up and stick their indolent offspring on the blower to get her out of either of their homes?
Wokism is permeating all our institutions, the police, the MSM, sport etc etc. I noted yesterday that the Chief Sportswriter for the Telegraph , Oliver Brown, wrote a piece in which he suggested that Exeter Chiefs rugby club’s determination to keep its name smacked of old style thinking and was out of sync with this time of BAME emancipation. Everyone he claimed had a moral duty to support a movement which sought to free BAME from the shackles imposed on them by white society and this duty would never go away and , of course, sport must play a prominent role.
Clearly anyone refusing to ‘take the knee’ in professional sport would have to be made of stern stuff when sports writers are universally urging their team mates to do. You would stand out like a sore thumb and no doubt be pilloried and likely to lose your career. The same is likely true in other professions such as acting, music.
So BLM is sweeping the board but why has it achieved such power so quickly? Only because decades of ground work had been done by the likes of the BBC to prepare for it and because it wasn’t nipped in the bud at the very first illegal statue toppling.
I’m sure that many white liberals who currently support the movement think it will end with everyone living in harmony in a multi cultural utopia and that all the BAMEs will gratefully embrace liberal values. They are playing a dangerous game because I think it much more likely , almost certain, that the BAMEs will seek to impose their various alien cultural norms on western whites and a culture which has created the modern world will be extinguished for ever to the detriment of everyone.
Im sure the wiser a Romans’ felt like this when decadence and decay became the norm in the late fourth century. Within fifty years the Roman Empire crumbled and Europe entered four hundred years of the Dark Ages.
Double- BAME ’emancipation’? From what exactly? They’ve been strutting their stuff, cock a hoop, on a continent they did nothing to build and whose culture they are trying to ‘appropriate’.
They are forcing us (or those of us who can’t think for themselves) into bowing down before them, and virtually running a different Law for themselves, which we are not privileged to.
I had hoped rugby would avoid the knee-taking nonsense that has befallen football, but the MSM seem anxious to whip them onto the BLM line. On YT, Dr Steve Turley observed yesterday how the tide was turning in the US, and ‘knee takers’ were booed at a football match in Texas.
A twirp like Oliver Brown merely exposes how deeply even formerly conservative media are partaking in bullying the populace into line. I shan’t be buying my weekend copy of The Telegraph this morning, or ever again. That paper has joined the woke with great enthusiasm?
Everyone has a ‘moral duty’ to bow down before satanism, eh? Cos when you look at what’s going on, the links to the whole ‘celebrity culture’ become all too clear.
I agree with you. But there is no sign of the tide turning here. When we have crowds back inside stadia will they boo the knee takers and if they do how will the MSM , ruling body and government react? Shut the stadium down for a months probably.
Let’s hope they bloody well do!
It’ll stop the untalented little pricks on a squillion pictures of the Duke of Wellington, and send them back to their Argos-designed drums!
I hate the way that 75 year-olds have to pay all that money for arseholes like lienneker and his mates.
Just tell them to fuck off.
Here’s my contribution to what this website has to do with alarming regularity. Provide more detail and context on the biased, selective, partial news of the BBC which despite their vast resources they are unwilling to do. In doing so I admit that I give individual teachers ( as opposed to their unions) a little more understanding than many correspondents might.
The BBC are gorging on the A level results ‘chaos’ and the hard luck stories of various students.
In a normal year, teachers predict A level results to support university applications. Quite understandably they do so ‘sunny side up’. In other words if the student works really hard and maybe has a bit of luck they should achieve a certain grade. Of course although this may be possible for any given student, it is highly unlikely to happen for all students. Statistically therefore teachers will over-grade at the macro level. It doesn’t make the process Machiavellian, we can call it benign human nature.
So when we come to Coronavirus and A level assessment marks, it should not be surprising that teachers will over-grade. As I said above, this is mainly benign, some admittedly will be unprofessionally over-grading for whatever reason. It is also important to note that teachers had to put every student in every class in a rank order from top to bottom, as well as giving them a grade. Clearly at national level this gave scope to define where the grade boundaries (A to B etc) should be, and it is always at the boundaries that they issues occur.
Now comes the inside information. At a certain secondary school I know well, I have it on good authority that 35% of grades were downgraded by 1 grade. This is the measure of the benign over-grading I mentioned.
But the key thing is that the A level results for the whole school (%A*-B for instance) are not only better than last year but about the same as the best ever year, 2017. And I believe nationally the results are about the same as last year.
To put it clearly, this shows how absolutely ludicrous it would be to rely only on the raw assessment of individual teachers. It also shows how weak and pathetic is the Scottish SNP government and wee krankie for caving in to populist pressure and allowing for teachers assessments to be accepted unmodulated.
But the BBC give none of this. All we get are the sob stories from those who have not received the grades they needed for their first choice next education/ job/ apprenticeship. Such failure happens every year of course. But that’s been forgotten.
The BBC knew well what their headline would be before the results were even released. Their standard of investigating, understanding, and reporting is absolutely, totally pathetic. Our local newspaper does a better job.
Good post Sluff
the BBC really don’t do – let’s look at the actual facts – it is always let’s find the negative in every story, find a ‘victim’ and expand…
I still maintain that teachers should be encouraged to predict accurately….and there are ways to do this…but currently no incentive it would seem..
Like many things the problems with current attitudes/ behaviours/ rules only become visible when exceptional circumstances appear..but the BBC, rather than help improve for the future, look to blame (normally the Govt) and find a victim for their short term ‘wokeness’ wagon
Today at the National Arboretum near Burton on Trent, a memorial serivce is being shown to mark VJ DAY- quite rightly so-many people appear to think that WW2 ended with the capitulation of Germany 1945, however meanwhile allied troops were still fighting the most terrible battle against the Japanese. The brutality of the Jap soldiers far out weighed the actions of the Nazi’s. My wife and I had family and close friends and associates who suffered terribly as prisoners at the hands of the Japenese. Some when Japan surrendered, left their prison camps weighing as little as 5 1/2 stone, emaciated-when the japs came into Singapore where some of our family were then living, the Jap soldiers entered one hospital and killed quite indiscriminately all Doctors, Nurses and patients, some just bayonetted-that is showing the mindset of those soldiers, and really how that mindset manifested itself throughout their invasion. We know the Japanese slaughtered many thousands of Chinese when invading Manchuria and continued to carry on their killing in Hong Kong, down into Burma and Malayia, Singapore. Words are inadequate to explain what was suffered by the allied military particularly the British troops and the civilians. Wifes uncle fought with the Chindits throughout, a very brave soldier and an excellent officer who asked his men to do nothing he would not do himself and did. Doubtful as to whether the Japanese have actually altered-still right wing Japanese who do not accept their surrender. I am glad that attention is being brought to the Japanese war in the far east, and would hope that the younger generation be made well aware of what took place at that time and of the unnecessary suffering in many cases-allied forces would never have treated Japanese prisoners with the same brutality. So much owed to those very brave men and women who fought that awful war.
I might Force myself to watch The coverage . I’m sure the Indians who fought with the japs against us will get full coverage …..
… and there will be hand wringing about dropping the bombs plus the carpet bombing of japan . I have my own views about it – mainly that I wish the bomb had been ready earlier to use on Germany – Berlin and then Tokyo …..
And – yes – I know that the lives of POWs were in danger but I think if the enemy had won the war they would have been worked to death anyway ,..
What I have seen so far is full on coverage of the Indians including an Indian woman playing a sitar!
I haven’t seen any Americans yet.
It was well worth a watch Fedup, however as my brother were agreeing shame they didn’t drop a bomb on Tokyo and wipe out the whole lot-the Japs through massive financial support from the USA and elsewhere survived and have prospered-but have we?
Yes indeed those poor bloody chaps would undoubtedly been worked to death in any event if the tide had gone the other way. I don’t hate everyone, just getting too old to care or almost ! Enjoy your day.
Yes Tarien – I saw it too. I’m surprised the Queen didn’t turn up but at least they avoided the Japanese ambassador – I can imagine the ‘reconciliation ‘ discussions – perhaps in another 25 years …..
America – Australia – New Zealand …. mmm
I was in Victoria Street, way back, when some Jap ‘person’ was invited to visit the Queen.
She was ‘ashen faced’, the Jap was hated from everyone in the streets. Boos were abound.
Being a British man, I was stunned at the way we all showed our contempt. As did I.
I am pleased that we have no real dialects in the UK. Yes
some very different accents and one or two , particularly scouser
when Jamie Carragher is mumbling ,he is difficult to understand.
BUT do you notice the accents or lack of them from the
plethora of ethnic presenters and reporters on BBC ? They almost
all have Oxbridge accents . As opposed to many “whities ” where
we hear regional accents from all over the shop.
OK this a good thing , although I do find the Eire women’s
sports reporters Irish brogue somewhat difficult to understand.
What I would like to hear is one of the continuity presenters
who have a Caribbean patois accent or somebody like
Gupta the engine driver from the film North West Frontier,
brilliantly played by Indian actor IS Johar, who should of won an
Academy award, reading the news on the BBC. By the way
the great adventure film , also starring Kenneth Moore , Lauren
Bacall and Herbert Lom is the last film the BBC would show
because of political correctness, and wokeness. I say last. When
I should of said NEVER again. Even more than a dubbed “The
Dam Busters. “
Foscari, the Pandemic has allowed Neil Nunes to read the news on R4 more often. He has a wonderful Carib baritone/bass voice and is an amateur operatic performer, I am told.
A lot of these people that have ‘Oxbridge accents’ will also have spent time listening to the BBC presenters and news readers of old in the 1960s and 1970s before ‘gloccal stohhism’ caught on and became fashionable in the Blair years.
Just switched on R4, having switched it off due to woke overload and what is first thing I hear…Alice Dearing the British open water swimmer on systematic racism in swimming
FFS can we not have just one programme where they don’t focus on people of colour and accuse everything of being systemically racist – please (especially as she is half white – so why described as Black is beyond me)……
I don’t hear any arguments about the few white sprinters..is that systemically racist as well? Just because a group of people doesn’t do something doesn’t mean it is due to racism…unless you are the BBC
Nothing more than symptomatic of the ‘Great Replacement’ underway and thats accelerating by the day.
It will need the BBC to assist when the new black concept of, “Gimme your house and and all yer stuff whitee” arrives, shortly.
How else will the nerves be calmed in the white population unless soothing noises come from the condoning BBC?
‘There, there, that’s alright, just do it white licence fee payers’
It’s not just what the BLM mobs are doing in the US, it is what Joe Biden is not doing – showing some leadership.
If the run-in to November was WW1 or WW2, Joe Biden would be on a charge for dereliction of duty or moral cowardice or desertion.
I’m sorry but I find it really hard to take this bloke seriously. Dr Steve Turley I mean.He sounds so unconvincing.
Noticed on R4 midnight news not one but two separate attacks on President Trump.
Barbara Plett-Usher attacked him for saying the wrong thing, but the clip she played in no way substantiated her argument. Then the newsreader, possibly Vejee Allis (?) had another go in another context. More BS.
I think the Biden Harris ticket is going to be getting a lot of support from beeb, if only by way of ever-increasing attacks on Trump. Difficult to imagine, after the venom heaped on him for the last three years.
Although we can certainly expect the woke bbc to wax lyrical about Kamala between now and November. All those boxes ticked.
Oh yes, and we also heard about Obama beginning to interfere in the election, wanting more funding for the US Postal Service (postal voting, nice racket in the UK too). But then, he has been leading the charge to oust the President ever since the inauguration.
My reply from the Home Office over the issue of the invasion coming across the Channel, elicited this initial response:
“Thank you for contacting the Home Office.
Your message has been logged.
We aim to provide a response within 20 working days.”
Surely better to equate the response time, not in terms of days, but in terms of the number of new invaders being accommodated in 4 Star hotels?
So, ‘We aim to provide a response within 2000 invasion incidents’
There, that’s better.
Don’t wait up. the tossers are on some sort of furlough, or maybe just a week-end jaunt…
Here, In Kent, we’re paying for all this drama, and we’re fed up with the nonsense of welcoming these immigrants who are just swanning ashore, and getting even more money.
I wonder what the Home Office will do with these criminal invaders when all the hotels are filled up – or when some outrage is committed and is made public ( no doubt there is plenty of crime which is happening locally but is being suppressed the corrupt MSM ) – which forces a policy change ?
Cruise liners ? Army camps ? Snowflake spare rooms ?
If it’s a hotel – 150 a day average – then there can’t be too long before they run out of hotel space …..
“I wonder what the Home Office will do with these criminal invaders when all the hotels are filled up”
That must be ‘Plan B’ which is hotting up in the US to which I referred to at 1038 just above.
Immediately I heard the recent plea from the BBC for Brits to house these illegal invaders and, no doubt, the negative response, that exercise will herald the way forward to demand whitee gives up his/her home and his/her possessions as the only way forward.
Give ’em to Lineacre
Two (more) things the BBC don’t want you to know: the rioting, lootin’ and shootin’ is still going strong in the US; and the people have had enough of the rotten BLM/Antifa.
Here Salty Cracker mocks the out-of-touch soccer players who were ‘disgusted’ when the crowd boo-ed their ridiculous kneeling during the national anthem. Aw, diddums.
“Americans BOO Sanctimonious Soccer Pricks Kneeling During Anthem”
Bit of that going around.
Stepmummy likely sent Conchita in the Hummer to pick up Grayson Z. Wannamakker III from around the corner and straight to the country club after his tearful call home that the ungrateful natives were revolting.
Can’t help but notice the BBC are rather sniffy about the historic normalisation of relations between Israel and UAE.
Well, look at it from their point of view. If they acknowledge the importance of the deal they would have to praise President Trump for a significant foreign policy breakthrough. Or, failing that the BBC would have to celebrate Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu for his statesmanship.
What a bind!
The Star of David being projected on one of those skyscrapers ? Was it real ? If it was I’m sure that made the news …right ?
‘compact-online’ (.de) carries a rather familiar article today, entitled “It’s always the Germans!”, about the identity of the criminals in all the ‘whodunit’ programmes broadcast by the G. ‘public service’/force funded TV channels.
Apparently, a contrary reality notwithstanding, the baddies are always indigenous Germans, never one of Ms Merkels ‘guests’/’migrants’.
Must be in the service of edderkashin as well as entertainment.
‘Die Welt’ carries a chat show headed “Are the bosses of the ARD (as in bbc) earning too much?” The discussion starts off indignantly excusing the newsreader who declared there to be 139 million Covid 19 deaths in the US to date, instead of 139,000!
And, like the beeb (R4), ‘Die Welt’ has discovered Anthony Scarramuchi, who is keen to ‘dish the dirt’ on Trump.
‘Die Welt’, ALSO LIKE THE BBC, makes it is business to carry at least 1 attack on the President every day, but often finds several.
You have to search far and wide in the German media to find anyone who doesn’t do that; I’ve still ever only found ‘compact-online’.
Isnt it nice that the BBC puts
“What is VJ Day ? “ on its’ website .
Presumably it is some rappers’ birthday …
Veejay, Fed? Isn’t that the Indian guy who is a computer ace?
I wonder what these remaining magnificent old boys who fought in WW2 and are today taking part in the anniversary think about these politicians giving their photo-op speeches saying “we will remember them”
The bbbc certainly will remember them and will be going after them for what will be almost two weeks of their pensions (they will all be on the old second class state pension and not the newer, higher state pension)
These old boys all show a quiet dignity and each and every one of them is what Britain should strive to be like.
I see the Government are saying they will pay for all the appeals going in regarding the exam grades. Shouldn’t that be corrected to the ‘Taxpayer’ will pay for them.
I don’t understand why they can’t just give everybody A* passes in everything as exams are becoming so much more devalued now. Like most things now the bar is getting very low.
Degrees! almost everybody gets one now.
Honours, Lordships and suchlike. All now handed out to almost anybody who can afford one. They’ll need another Parliament for the House of Lords overflow there’s so many of them.
Every (public at least) workplace is stuffed full of managers and officers. NHS with such a huge non medical part, more Admirals than ships in the Navy and how many civil servants are there, probably ten times as many as we need.
When I was young there were loads of people you could respect. Craftsmen, Nurses, University students, Teachers and so many more.
Now, most of them are just gobshites.
I enjoyed that rambling rant.
Veejay, Fed? Isn’t that the Indian guy who is a computer ace?
“I enjoyed that rambling rant.”
And so you should!
Excellent reading, and well understood – thank you!
“A-levels and GCSEs: Student tells minister ‘you’ve ruined my life'”
There probably has been some injustice however the wailing lament of “you’ve ruined my life” on VJ day, well, bit of perspective please.
Just like Saint Greta of Thunberg who said, “how dare you… you stole my childhood”.
I take it they then had a Long discussion about ‘one door closing and another one locking ‘ and how not every one can win or pass exams and stuff . My life is ruined every Saturday night when I don’t win big on the lottery – can I go on the BBC and berate the ministry of lotteries about that , it’s just so unfair …. and I’m vulnerable … and from a minority group ….and my daddy didn’t know some one to get me a job …..
It’s laughable…and it’s being encouraged by the BBC.
Let’s hope that some of these poor, hard done by students go on to study history.
Anyway, they think they’ve got it tough.
They should try being Fulham supporters…
Yeah, they had that lovely Cottage taken away from them.
Nah, we’ve still got The Cottage.
You must be thinking of Chelsea and The Shed.
I don’t see that as a rant or rambling . There’s a bit of me that wishes I didn’t know as much about the events of that war – from the distance of time of course – and the tragedies – so many –
– and how it – and preceded by the Great War – knocked the stuffing out of blighty and has left it a husk worshipping state organisation like the NHS and the BBC – complete with a perverted immorality – but maybe that’s what ‘peace’ does to people ….
Not on the bBC.
TR commented on Parler “if this had been football lads, it would be all over the news.”
Shows where their loyalties lie.
And what are those minuscule women cops supposed to do when these paklanders get even more uppity?
Firstly, they’ll pass out from oxygen deprivation if they persist in using those masks.
A thought: breathing while wearing a mask; ie breathing in your body’s waste products; is like having a crap and then eating it.
One thing’s for sure, over the past six months or so, the police have had reinforced the fact that if there was an uprising/civil war, they would not have a ‘cat-in-hells’ chance of containing it. You would all be on your own. Probably agree that you are right now anyway………… I say again, get armed. Easily done.
Surprised, or not, to hear BBC news reading out an Hezbollah statement that essentially blamed Israel for the explosion in Beirut and claiming that as the FBI were helping the investigation any Israeli involvement would be covered up….the BBC quite happy to collaborate in the attempt to implicate Israel by a terrorist group.
No context, no telling us how the explosion is widely reported to have happened, not even a statement that Israel denies any involvement, no information that the Lebanese population is protesting about Hezbollah as it basically controls Lebanon and thus must take responsibility for the failure to regulate the port safely.
‘Beirut Explosion Unleashes Public Anger at Hezbollah, Lebanon’s Most Powerful Group ‘
‘The Iranian ally becomes a target of public resistance, particularly from a new generation.
The throngs of anti-establishment protesters marching in Beirut after last week’s devastating explosion have turned their sights on one group above all: Hezbollah, the powerful, Iranian-backed Shiite political party and militia.’
And Emma Barnett asks ‘Where does all this anti-Semitism come from?’….from her own colleagues who whip up hate against Israel.
Bit strange that as the BBC, a few days after the explosion, started to question the supposed facts a little.
And then suddenly stopped.
The science suggests someone was wandering around with a match or two …. or three or more. No attempt by the BBC to find out who specifically owned the Ammonium Nitrate. I think they did establish and mention on air that the docks area is in an area controlled by Hezbollah.
Apart from Israel, who doesn’t like Hezbollah in Lebanon?
Any number of war lords and gangsters, then there’s the Phalangists, Fatah, other groups within the PLO, the PLO themselves, the PA (no, not the Press Association), Black September, Hamas and on and on … not just Israel but an A4 full sheet – both sides – of possible suspects. How about some journalistic research, BBC? What’s ‘the word on the street’ for starters?
From the Mail…
BBC to crack down on use of ‘racially insulting language’ after N-word row with any planned mention now being referred to an executive
‘Any plans to use ‘racially insulting language’ on BBC news or current affairs shows will now be referred to an executive before a decision is made on whether it is broadcast.
The corporation made the announcement after the controversy about the use of the ‘N-word’ in a recent story.
Now it has emerged that editorial director Kamal Ahmed has written to staff, telling them any racist language on news and current affairs shows should be referred to director of news Fran Unsworth.
Mr Ahmed said Mr Hall had said the BBC would strengthen the guidance on offensive language, which was still being worked on, and added: ‘In the meantime, all use of racially insulting language in news and current affairs will be a mandatory referral to the director of news, Fran Unsworth.
‘There are lessons we can draw from this that will help shape our thinking and practice – and it’s important that we hear a full range of views.’’
Soooo…does that mean the BBC will ban the use of ‘Karen’ as a derogatory racial label, or the term ‘white privilege’ which is no different in the intended effect as the word nigger, or ‘male, pale and stale’, or change its entire narrative about white people being racist nazis which demonises and belittles Whites, will the BBC still be telling white people to shut up and get out of the way?
I await the new guidelines with interest.
There are of course two BBC EG’s.
1) The ones the staff ignore when it suits.
2) The ‘special’ ones they adhere to like Goodhall to a Momentum groupie.
CECUO of course can refer to one and allude to the other as ciumstances dictate, secure that by the time they have replied they will have changed and an archive check is FOI exempt.
Quite amazing. A foreigner as, “Editorial Director” deciding what is racist language or not in the UK.
Maybe we should start looking at his first language and criticise that.
“Quite amazing. A foreigner as, “Editorial Director” deciding what is racist language or not in the UK.”
Kamal Ahmed was born in Ealing, his mother was from Rotherham; he’s no more “a foreigner” than (I assume) you are.
Amazing! Someone rattles your cage and you emerge from out of your safe space. A touched nerve or Dutch courage?
If a dog is born in a stable it doesn’t make him a horse.
“If a dog is born in a stable it doesn’t make him a horse.”
Well that’s very interesting but still doesn’t make someone born in this country a foreigner.
It’s a matter of opinion, where does your allegiance lay? Are you a supporter of Great Britain?
“It’s a matter of opinion”
Oh, so… I know for a fact that you’re not British; and that you’ve stolen a job and a house from the indigenous population.
My allegiance is with the real Brits, not pretend ones such as yourself.
Now I know your making things up.
As far as I’m concerned, he is a foreigner. I’m racist and becoming more proud of that status every day.
Thanks to relentless BBC encouragement to help me think that way.
Like the BBC, I often struggle between selective sensitivity to the individual and mass hive generalisations that suit.
Hence, surely the key question is, other than studly, what does he identify as?
“Ahmed is the son of an English mother from Rotherham and a Sudanese father“, as have all we Christmas shoppers at John Lewis, buyers of DFS sofas and eaters at McDonalds it appears.
“Ahmed is the son of an English mother from Rotherham and a Sudanese father“
Still doesn’t make him “a foreigner”. Unless, that is, you think this site is run by “a foreigner”; which would be somewhat ironic to say the least.????
The whole family: about as welcome here as a turd in a swimming pool.
I believe the test is in the blood. If someone has some English blood in their veins. No matter how long someone has lived here, if they don’t have any English blood, they can never be English. And therefore, when push comes to shove, no entitlement to be here.
I agree News Editorial Director Kamal Ahmed is not a foreigner
just as a child of a British expat born in Thailand is not a foreigner to Thailand.
But such a child is not 100% indigenous, and will probably be quite rooted in British culture.
The Thai people would probably always refer to the child as “farang”, and if such a child gained a position of power and started telling Thai people how to use their own language there would be resistance.
Such thoughts are the beginning of debate not the end of it.
I could imagine that one sibling might be rooted in Thai culture and the other in British etc. and could understand Thai people resisting changes imposed by the latter.
Here’s a pic of Kamal and his mother
A strange history that she was the first person his father met in Britain and they ended up marrying.
She’d been a friend of his cousin and so had come to the airport to pick him up.
Kamal grew up in the Indian dominated suburb of Southall.
That’s a happy photo though, no two ways about it!
Personally, I don’t care if he is a ‘foreigner’, or not. The term is a vague one anyway, and as Stew points out in most parts of the world is thrown around with far more abandon than it is here in the UK, where we’re generally very tolerant of ‘foreigners’.
What I do care about is the increasing political armament of our language, in this country, and globally. With ever encroaching minefields of words, phrases, and by implication thoughts, which are ‘no go’ areas, and if you dare step into them, even ever so innocently – BOOM!
It’s Orwellian, and it doesn’t solve anything as it’s not the words that are themselves ‘racist’, or ‘genderist’, or whatever you’re trying to ban this week. If you want to change mindsets you need to show (via genuine example and evidence) that the mindset is wrong, when you can’t… well, then either the evidence you have is insufficient (or insufficiently convincing), or maybe the mindset isn’t actually wrong in the first place?
Anyway, banning words and phrases doesn’t really change mindsets, because in the longterm people just devise alternate ones to replace them. ANY word can be used as an insult, and people have been coming up with new ones, and new meanings for old ones since people existed. All it does is annoy people.
Windrush ..what’s that ?
..ah Stanley Windrush the name of the lead character in the 1959 Ian Carmichael film : I’m All Right Jack
which is on TPTV now
Sargon takes apart an EU film
EU video ‘Oh look there are these guys that concerned about north African men harassing European girls
.. you must protect your children from these guys
cos these guys must be Far Right Extremists
..so her mother quite correctly calls the police.
What fine citizen
These Far Right guys must be violent, we say”
Here’s the EU’s own tweet of their 1min 20 second video
message : be worried if you see someone who is concerned about North Africans harassing local girls
cos surely that person is on the path become a far far right extremist
… and don’t be at all concerned about the men.
They are saying “Red pilled Hannas are bad
..Do your bit to stop Hannas becoming red-pilled”
BTW although this is a recent retweet
They tweeted the video first Aug 13 2019
and then again in October
Does the video pass the projection test ?
Who are the extremists grooming people by building stories ?
It’s them isn’t it ? They are the propagandists.
“Hanna is alarmed after two friends are harassed by a group of African men. She’s on the verge of joining a far-right extremist group. Is Hanna in danger of becoming #radicalised? ”
Better that than being raped or, ‘gang-banged’ by savages.
If ‘Hanna’ was my daughter I’d hope she WAS alarmed by men harassing girls (regardless of the men’s ‘apparent origin’). In fact, I’d hope she’d report it to the police.
Am I not understanding what is meant by the term ‘harassing’ here?
Harassing: noun. The action of subjecting someone to aggressive pressure or intimidation.
Nope, don’t think I am.
I don’t support ‘far right’ groups (or even ‘right wing’ ones), in fact i’d rather we didn’t have a ‘far right’, but if people are turning to them in desperation, then something is very wrong, and the ‘legitimate’ authorities clearly aren’t doing their job.
“Why did the A-level algorithm say no?” The virtue
signalling picture on this feature on the BBC website , is
what the BBC has morphed into. The name itself, BBC is
a perfect example of an oxymoron!
My Discarded Facemask Litter count is now well into double figures although I may have double counted one or two as am not sure whether they were spotted on the first time past from one direction on the bike and then seen again on way home.
What has Boris done!
Swansea University, doctor scammer
An overseas student has been jailed for two and a half years at Cardiff Crown court for fraudulently claiming £250K in benefits and funding
.. Notice the lack of a sentence that matches the crime
Notice the jails rather than deport .
Notice that he’s been in the system since
How much taxes he cost us fighting for a failed asylum claim since 2005″
“Notice the lack of a sentence that matches the crime”
What sentence did your Tommy get for his £160,000 / £640,000 mortgage fraud, Stew?
“Notice the jails rather than deport ”
Notice; “…will be deported after jail.”
“Notice that he’s been in the system since
How much taxes he cost us fighting for a failed asylum claim since 2005”
Notice; “Al-Sulaiti was arrested in March 2010”
Notice; “His wife and children were removed to Qatar in April 2010”
Notice; “[Al-Sulaiti] was deported back to Qatar on 2 June ”
Who are the extremists grooming people by building stories… Stew?
BTW note the end quotation mark.
I was quoting the Rotten Politics guy at the start of the video and my first quotation mark is missing
It is an error on his part not to point out the story was from his jailing in 2010
However all his other arguments stand up …he defrauded the country for 5 years
and got to spend another 1 and half years being fed in the UK prison system.
RP questioned whether the taxpayer would recover any of the stolen £210K
The BBC article end by saying 90% wasn’t
“The UK Border Agency said more than £27,000 was recovered from Al-Sulaiti under proceeds of crime legislation before his deportation.”
BTW Max’s whataboutery as regards TR as false
AFAIK TR did not profit financially from a mortgage fraud
It was something like he took out a mortgage on behalf of his cousin as his cousin hadn’t been able to obtain it in his own name
and the cousin had then always made the payments.
Mortgage fraud of that type is extremely common, particularly among the working class, who often find it hard to comply with all the requirements to get a mortgage these days, particularly re: debts, so need to rely on family for help.
Let’s be honest, the middle classes do exactly the same, just it’s about ‘contacts’ and pulling strings, rather than asking a family member to tell a white lie to cover for you. Need a signature from a bank manager, or a magistrate confirming your debts are secured, no problem if you have the right friends.
TR’s greatest crime seems to be that he is a white, working class man, who doesn’t know his place (i.e. doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut and doff his cap). Some might even argue that shouldn’t really be a crime.
Oh maxi, are you still around? During the daytime? That’s rare! Mind you do not let any daylight or sunshine fall on you. Where’s that apology you owe me?
8pm Upcoming agenda pushing : LGBTQ+J+K etc.
Is the BBC straight forward racist ?
..Hardly reporting major crimes AGAINST whites
whilst elevating misdemeanours BY whites
“…whilst elevating misdemeanours BY whites”
The report makes no mention of the staff member’s, or their colleague’s, skin colour. Yet for some reason you assume they must be “white”.
Not even attempting to disguise your inherent racism any more, eh Stew?
You old troll you . Not even attempting to hide your support for the company that raises money by robbing from the poor to give to the rich. How much are you getting paid?
De-fund Al Beeb
Em I made a general observation about the BBC generally
we could rephrase that as
..Hardly reporting major crimes BY non-whites against other ethnicities
whilst elevating misdemeanours AGAINST non-whites
The victim in this case is “non-white” so we don’t need to make any assumptions.
Maxi sticking the R-word label on people in an attempt to close down discussion is bullying.
Another nail in the BBC coffin as they continue to undermine our culture. Below is a cut and paste preview of a forthcoming “somthing” about not being a man or a women…..they must be stopped from perverting children ….let kids be kids and stop this nonsense paid for with our compulsary tax.
An increasing number of young people are identifying as transgender or gender nonconforming, and Hayley just can’t get her head around it! To find out more, she wants to embark on a gender-curious quest to explore what gender identity is all about. She discovers how ingrained gender stereotypes are, and how they can hold us back from being who we want to be. She learns how our obsession with gender from birth could be impacting the way we play with our children and how they develop in later life, and she challenges gender stigma by getting her male mates to try out make-up. She also discovers how playing with drag can liberate and educate, as she discovers a more masculine side, and she explores trans issues and learns the basics of what it means to be nonbinary
That’s a TV prog from BBC Wales
More happy horseshit
Its surely all to do with taking young children through to adulthood in a more compliant way making the carefully crafted BBC news/propaganda ultimately more relevant.
Dawn Butler put out a tweet about the 75th anniversary of VJ – look – she typed it as VE75 and typed ‘solders ‘instead of ‘soldiers ‘.
There have been some pretty adverse comments as a result but I say – cut her some slack – she will never be the sharpest knife in the box and it’s surprising she is aware of any “V” at all.
And there’s only four letters between E and J eh ……same fing really innit .
