~Surprise, surprise! After three weeks of trolling about “Taliban 2.0”, the new regime in Afghanistan turns out to be, as I said last week, “an ‘inclusive’ government encompassing both mullahs with full beards and mullahs with three-quarter-length beards”. Or as The New York Times puts it:

Taliban Appoint Stalwarts to Top Government Posts

Stalwart? Yes, the memo’s gone out from Lamestream Media Central. My old chums at The Irish Times:

Taliban Name New Afghanistan Cabinet That Rewards Stalwarts

One man’s stalwart is another man’s mass murderer. For example, the new Interior Minister is Sirajuddin Haqqani, whose main experience of the Afghan interior is the last twenty years he’s spent blowing various bits of it sky-high. Mr Haqqani is on the FBI’s Most Wanted list with a $10 million bounty on his head.

2018 …. The EU plans to send 10,000 more border guards to tackle unlawful immigration by 2020, the European Commission’s president Jean-Claude Juncker said in his annual state of the union address.

He called for more solidarity, rather than “ad-hoc solutions” for people on migrant ships.

His speech also tackled the region’s other burning issues – populism, terrorism and Brexit.

Just a snippet from Classic FM: the brand, ‘St Michael’ is returning to the market place! Could it be that they have not hired an ‘Equity and Diversity’ manager? We will see.

Clearly the ‘St Michael’ range is directed toward Brits of a certain age (I remember their wonderful ‘Y’ fronts) as, for certain, with a brand name like St Michael, they won’t attract our deeply religious brown eyed demographic.

                Ha! Thanks.

But to trace out the history of the whole period, to say who was fighting whom at any given moment, would have been utterly impossible, since no written record, and no spoken word, ever made mention of any other alignment than the existing one. At this moment, for example, in 1984 (if it was 1984), Oceania was at war with Eurasia and in alliance with Eastasia. In no public or private utterance was it ever admitted that the three powers had at any time been grouped along different lines. Actually, as Winston well knew, it was only four years since Oceania had been at war with Eastasia and in alliance with Eurasia. But that was merely a piece of furtive knowledge which he happened to possess because his memory was not satisfactorily under control. Officially the change of partners had never happened. Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia. The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible.

The frightening thing, he reflected for the ten thousandth time as he forced his shoulders painfully backward (with hands on hips, they were gyrating their bodies from the waist, an exercise that was supposed to be good for the back muscles) — the frightening thing was that it might all be true. If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say of this or that event, it never happened — that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death?

This site is a great place to go to check if there are any sane people left in the country. Its original aim of highlighting the extreme bias of the BBC was and remains a noble one. The site also allows views to be posted which are contradictory to the liberal establishment view that is so relentlessly pushed by the BBC et al. As such it is an increasingly rare outlet on which to express the incomprehension and bafflement that many users feel as they see the country going to the dogs.
It would be a great loss if it were to be closed because of someone getting too carried away with what they were posting.

Our present Home Secretary is very fond of adopting a strong stance on immigration; they all do it. Blimey, even David Blunkett came out with this sort of spiel…

There’s never been a government elected on the manifesto promise, “We’re going to let absolutely everybody in. Indeed, even those coming illegally will be escorted to our shores and put up (at your expense) in four star hotels.”
No one would vote for such insanity, but that’s what we’ve got…

I sometimes feel a bit like Benjamin, the old donkey from Animal Farm, who when these ludicrous pronouncements are made just raises an eyebrow or shakes his head. I’ve heard it all before. It pacifies the Daily Express readers, but it’s all utter bxllxcks!

Priti won’t do anything. If one illegal drowned in the channel the media, particularly the Beeb and The Guardian, would be after her blood. She ain’t going to do it. She’ll talk tough, the BBC will paint her as some rabid right winger and then she’ll quietly move on to the next department. I know it, the French know it and more importantly, the blokes on these dinghies know it.

Unfortunately Britain doesn’t have a Donald Trump.

TOADY Watch #2 – the BBC are still upset by the Health & Social Care reforms

So much so that the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is the big interviewee for Mishal at 8.10 a.m. on Global Warming and Climate Change. But he is also asked about the Health and Social Care reforms and whether it is fair to ask young people on low incomes to pay for them.

What Mishal should have asked the Archbishop of Canterbury “Is it fair that older people like us on large salaries should be asked to pay much, much more than young people on low incomes?” That would have been the honest question to ask as the tax route chosen by the Government is a progressive one, not a regressive one.

I can’t see this one lasting another day …….

Mishal gave the Archbishop of Canterbury a very soft interview. He said that his children cannot afford to buy a house and then added that he didn’t own a house IN THIS COUNTRY (my caps) but we were not told what foreign abode he had. He is on £85,000 a year according to google and has his accommodation provided. He has just taken a sabbatical during which I presume he was still paid. I wonder what he does with his money.

However the Archbishop was much too worried about Climate Change and leftist policies to worry about his flock’s relationship with Him upstairs and Mishal didn’t ask.

      • Up2snuff says:

Deborah, if that £80,000 is correct and it sounds right, the Archbishop of Canterbury will then be paying the same as an MP toward the Health & Social Care reforms – about £900. That is four times – maybe slightly more – than someone on Minimum Wage. Apparently the £5 per week for them was more like £4 per week. Mishal did not mention that.

        Dishonest, BBC!

          Catholic priests
Catholic priests do not receive any stipend or salary. Their remuneration traditionally arises from the congregation collection. Also, there is no employer/employee relationship with the Catholic Church. They are therefore regarded as self-employed earners for NICs purposes.

Despite their National Insurance treatment, Catholic priests are regarded as office holders for income tax purposes and their remuneration is taxable as general earnings rather than under Chapter 2 of Part 2 of the Income Tax (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005 (ITTOIA). Therefore, no Class 4 NICs arises on their remuneration as section 15 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 (SSCBA) cannot apply.

Failing that, jail every immigrant illegally landing in the UK and keep them there with no chance of being granted permission to stay.
Keep them in prison, not hotels, until they agree to go back.

At some point, she became aware of the ubiquity of the word “Colston” on Bristol’s streets and buildings. Kisuule, who is black, would walk down Colston Street, pass a pub named Colston Yard, and visit Colston Hall, the city’s largest concert venue. They were named after Edward Colston, a British slave trader and politician who was born in the city in 1636.

They list some of the many calamities with which the commissioner has been associated, and in fairness, give air to those who are also critical of the BBC.

Perhaps she will go, given that the Prime Minister and Home Secretary have publicly backed her – usually a death knell if ever there was one. has not decided if they are needed – odd sentence.

But the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), the UK vaccine advisory body, has not decided if they are needed, and who should be eligible.

As there are ladies present, if not the reasons that get Fed excited, I’ll will share with cautious commentary.

Not OT, but industry generic, and if a BBC favoured son sticks their head above the parapet enough to get fragged it can intrigue. It also opens a delicious can of non vegan meat alternatives.

It’s the Indy so maybe six people saw it, but they do seem to be pervasive in Amol’s new crib despite this.

Personally the thought of everyone in a BBC studio from BS to Andy Burnham having a fit of the vapours is too delicious not to contemplate.

I particularly despise the IndyGraunBBc arbiters of acceptability’ utter hypocrisies on matters female (and associated males) fashion, from the gunk they pour on their hair to the distances they travel to look at each other in clothes they wear once or sporting hair dos that they think will get the Sarpongistas to commission a story.

    Re the Dinghy Tourist’s

    The answer is simple.
    DONT.
    1. Put them in hotels, tents will do.
    2. Give them any kind of money.
    3. Let them speak to lefty lawyers.
    DO.
    1. Confiscate all mobile phones to stop them doing 3 above.
    2. Put anyone without papers on the first plane to Afghanistan. They’ll claim to come from there anyway
    3. Not allow them to vote in British elections for 30 years.
    4. Not allow them to stand in any British election of any form.

There is an even more simple answer.

      1. Leave the asylum treaty
      2. Blame Macron

We could still offer asylum on our terms to those we deemed deserving of it.

International criticism could be deflected onto Macron.

“plus a programme by a man whose campaigning made political waves: Marcus Rashford Feeding Britain’s Children.”
    FFS they obviously promote him.

Other obvious ones mentioned in their blurb

    – cult favour-ite RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
    – first-time nominee Alison Hammond
    – There’s a strong showing for Coronation Street’s hate-crime storyline

Channel 4 news reporting quite seriously from a dig somewhere up North where a bunch of obviously totally nutty old wild-haired and wild-eyed septuagenarians (won’t call them archeologists) announce they have found evidence that black people came across the channel from Calais in small boats 10,000 years ago (how accidentally fortuitous and probably not on inflatables!) and showed us how to use salt, make cheese and farm. The same people then went on to build Stonehenge, and probably the Clifton suspension bridge.

They found all this by digging a great big hole 20 feet deep and shining their torch on the dust which means these early immigrants were possibly mole like people who preferred to live underground.

They claim the evidence is irrefutable because they have a special Torch available from Lidl which can look back 10,000 years which proves it beyond doubt.

Begs the question of why the immigrants didn’t bother to do the same back in Africa. Not many giant stone monoliths over there that I know of and very little cheese I would warrant.

It gets more and more stupid and desperate every day!

    Better off reading the Beano!

Yes but the people who built the pyramids probably had rulers and tape measures unlike the Stonehenge crew most probably random druids from Celtic nations, or did these African arrivals simply forget to bring their rulers etc when they landed in Kent?

Hey Priti here’s an idea, as it is now obvious the French want to offload as many scroungers as possible onto the UK and any attempt to turn them back in the waters will be subject to the ire of the lefties.

Why not coral some RAF transport aircraft and have them ready and waiting at airfields in the UK.

Every immigrant who declares their origin Country is immediately packed aboard and returned post-haste to their origin Country who surely cannot refuse entry to their own Nationals, anyone who refuses to declare their origin Country are charged with breaking UK law and jailed until they can be deported.
