Can you imagine the thought process the Minister For Stron’ Statements went through to come to the idea to ‘push back dinghies if it is safe ‘ as a new immigration policy ?

She must know her time as a useless minister is coming to the end . Her replacement should by ms Truss – who seems be doing her job rather well … instead it will be another useless statement maker …. And nothing will change ..

Remember the way it was? Boy, those stone-age loons, demolishing any statues that pre-date their own ideology:

On Wednesday, the state of Virginia removed the 12-ton statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee more than 130 years after it was installed in Richmond.

Well, okay, but can you believe those wacky Talibs ban dancing?

BREAKING: Effective Sept. 20 @TheWECHU announcing:

-Indoor dancing at weddings will be prohibited except for the bride and groom

America topples statues, Canada bans dancing, Australia pepper-sprays girls who show their faces outside their homes: It’s one big Talibanny world!

~Surprise, surprise! After three weeks of trolling about “Taliban 2.0”, the new regime in Afghanistan turns out to be, as I said last week, “an ‘inclusive’ government encompassing both mullahs with full beards and mullahs with three-quarter-length beards”. Or as The New York Times puts it:

Taliban Appoint Stalwarts to Top Government Posts

Stalwart? Yes, the memo’s gone out from Lamestream Media Central. My old chums at The Irish Times:

Taliban Name New Afghanistan Cabinet That Rewards Stalwarts

One man’s stalwart is another man’s mass murderer. For example, the new Interior Minister is Sirajuddin Haqqani, whose main experience of the Afghan interior is the last twenty years he’s spent blowing various bits of it sky-high. Mr Haqqani is on the FBI’s Most Wanted list with a $10 million bounty on his head.

2018 …. The EU plans to send 10,000 more border guards to tackle unlawful immigration by 2020, the European Commission’s president Jean-Claude Juncker said in his annual state of the union address.

He called for more solidarity, rather than “ad-hoc solutions” for people on migrant ships.

His speech also tackled the region’s other burning issues – populism, terrorism and Brexit.

Just a snippet from Classic FM: the brand, ‘St Michael’ is returning to the market place! Could it be that they have not hired an ‘Equity and Diversity’ manager? We will see.

Clearly the ‘St Michael’ range is directed toward Brits of a certain age (I remember their wonderful ‘Y’ fronts) as, for certain, with a brand name like St Michael, they won’t attract our deeply religious brown eyed demographic.

              • MarkyMark says:

                Ha! Thanks.

But to trace out the history of the whole period, to say who was fighting whom at any given moment, would have been utterly impossible, since no written record, and no spoken word, ever made mention of any other alignment than the existing one. At this moment, for example, in 1984 (if it was 1984), Oceania was at war with Eurasia and in alliance with Eastasia. In no public or private utterance was it ever admitted that the three powers had at any time been grouped along different lines. Actually, as Winston well knew, it was only four years since Oceania had been at war with Eastasia and in alliance with Eurasia. But that was merely a piece of furtive knowledge which he happened to possess because his memory was not satisfactorily under control. Officially the change of partners had never happened. Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia. The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible.

The frightening thing, he reflected for the ten thousandth time as he forced his shoulders painfully backward (with hands on hips, they were gyrating their bodies from the waist, an exercise that was supposed to be good for the back muscles) — the frightening thing was that it might all be true. If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say of this or that event, it never happened — that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death?

              • Doublethinker says:

This site is a great place to go to check if there are any sane people left in the country. Its original aim of highlighting the extreme bias of the BBC was and remains a noble one. The site also allows views to be posted which are contradictory to the liberal establishment view that is so relentlessly pushed by the BBC et al. As such it is an increasingly rare outlet on which to express the incomprehension and bafflement that many users feel as they see the country going to the dogs.
It would be a great loss if it were to be closed because of someone getting too carried away with what they were posting.

The Times is reporting that the BBC is set to appoint the left-wing former editor of HuffPost Jess Brammar as Head of News. This appointment will be seen by many as a challenge to the claim that the BBC is an impartial news organisation…

My impression is that this is out of date, and that the person responsible for the attempted appointment has been resigned: Fran something.

  9. Jeff says:

Our present Home Secretary is very fond of adopting a strong stance on immigration; they all do it. Blimey, even David Blunkett came out with this sort of spiel…

There’s never been a government elected on the manifesto promise, “We’re going to let absolutely everybody in. Indeed, even those coming illegally will be escorted to our shores and put up (at your expense) in four star hotels.”
No one would vote for such insanity, but that’s what we’ve got…

I sometimes feel a bit like Benjamin, the old donkey from Animal Farm, who when these ludicrous pronouncements are made just raises an eyebrow or shakes his head. I’ve heard it all before. It pacifies the Daily Express readers, but it’s all utter bxllxcks!

Priti won’t do anything. If one illegal drowned in the channel the media, particularly the Beeb and The Guardian, would be after her blood. She ain’t going to do it. She’ll talk tough, the BBC will paint her as some rabid right winger and then she’ll quietly move on to the next department. I know it, the French know it and more importantly, the blokes on these dinghies know it.

Unfortunately Britain doesn’t have a Donald Trump.
    If only…

    • MarkyMark says:

From a Theresa May speech …

As Martin Wolf, the chief economics commentator of the financial times, says: ‘The desirability of sizeable immigration is a matter more of values than of economics. It is not a choice between wealth and poverty, but of the sort of country one desires to inhabit.’

    • Old Goat says:

Nor does the USA any more (at least, temporarily…).

    • Rob in Cheshire says:

Towing back dinghies at sea is a stupid policy. Those on board are not daft, they will just jump into the sea and have to be rescued.

No, surely we should wait for them to land, and then round them up and take them back to France safely. They are illegal immigrants and we do not want them.

    • BRISSLES says:

“Priti won’t do anything. If one illegal drowned in the channel the media, particularly the Beeb and The Guardian, would be after her blood. ”

And there’s the rub. As I’ve said before, its nonsense that ‘they’re risking their lives’. Hardly, when out of 13,000 plus who have come across, only one so far has died.

Give me a boat and a harpoon.

TOADY Watch #2 – the BBC are still upset by the Health & Social Care reforms

So much so that the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is the big interviewee for Mishal at 8.10 a.m. on Global Warming and Climate Change. But he is also asked about the Health and Social Care reforms and whether it is fair to ask young people on low incomes to pay for them.

What Mishal should have asked the Archbishop of Canterbury “Is it fair that older people like us on large salaries should be asked to pay much, much more than young people on low incomes?” That would have been the honest question to ask as the tax route chosen by the Government is a progressive one, not a regressive one.

I can’t see this one lasting another day …….

    … or could it?

    • Deborah says:

Mishal gave the Archbishop of Canterbury a very soft interview. He said that his children cannot afford to buy a house and then added that he didn’t own a house IN THIS COUNTRY (my caps) but we were not told what foreign abode he had. He is on £85,000 a year according to google and has his accommodation provided. He has just taken a sabbatical during which I presume he was still paid. I wonder what he does with his money.

However the Archbishop was much too worried about Climate Change and leftist policies to worry about his flock’s relationship with Him upstairs and Mishal didn’t ask.

      • Up2snuff says:

Deborah, if that £80,000 is correct and it sounds right, the Archbishop of Canterbury will then be paying the same as an MP toward the Health & Social Care reforms – about £900. That is four times – maybe slightly more – than someone on Minimum Wage. Apparently the £5 per week for them was more like £4 per week. Mishal did not mention that.

        Dishonest, BBC!

        • MarkyMark says:

          Catholic priests
Catholic priests do not receive any stipend or salary. Their remuneration traditionally arises from the congregation collection. Also, there is no employer/employee relationship with the Catholic Church. They are therefore regarded as self-employed earners for NICs purposes.

Despite their National Insurance treatment, Catholic priests are regarded as office holders for income tax purposes and their remuneration is taxable as general earnings rather than under Chapter 2 of Part 2 of the Income Tax (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005 (ITTOIA). Therefore, no Class 4 NICs arises on their remuneration as section 15 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 (SSCBA) cannot apply.

    • Banania says:

What about asking him a question about Christianity, or the Church, just for a change?

Security guards hired to prevent Somali pirates from taking ships.
They strayed (apparently) into Indian waters and were arrested and jailed in awful conditions for many years.

I bet they would steer clear of Indian waters now.

Can we not contract out our channel operation (don’t laugh) to the Indians.

Failing that, jail every immigrant illegally landing in the UK and keep them there with no chance of being granted permission to stay.
Keep them in prison, not hotels, until they agree to go back.

It will not be long before they get the message that it’s not worth popping over illegally and the numbers will drop dramatically.

That would free up places for genuine asylum seekers.

  15. pugnazious says:

Amazing how the French can just decide that they are not going to pick up illegals turned back by Britain….you might ask the question why then do we have to pick them up in the RNLI taxi service? Also amazing that there are so many daft rules…it only takes one illegal to threaten to jump into the sea for the boat to be deemed ‘vulnerable’ and thus non-returnable. Might suggest if they reach UK put them in a plane and dump them back in France.
Amazing how the BBC saw no problem with the French attitude but would shout blue murder if we did the same.

Similarly the BBC sees no problem with the terrorist murderers of the IRA running our border policy.

So we can’t have a border between NI and Ireland…why not? Because we are told this threatens the peace process. Why? Because a small group of murderous IRA terrorists will start killing people if a border is put in place.

In other words that small group of murderous IRA terrorists get a veto on anything we want to do and far from being outraged or shocked the BBC is not only perfectly happy to accept that situation but to weaponise it and use it continuously in its effort to sell Britain out to the EU…and the EU is more than happy to exploit and use the murderous terrorists of the IRA as a proxy army to threaten Britain….quite astonishing that this doesn’t raise a massive stink.

A border would solve many problems and the murderous terrorists of the IRA, and their supporters can be locked up or shot.

When the twenty-nine-year-old writer and performer Vanessa Kisuule moved to Bristol, England, ten years ago, to attend Bristol University, she didn’t know much about the city’s links to the transatlantic slave trade. “My only cultural reference point was, like, ‘Skins,’ ” she told me, referring to the British drama about teen-agers growing up in the city. At some point, she became aware of the ubiquity of the word “Colston” on Bristol’s streets and buildings. Kisuule, who is black, would walk down Colston Street, pass a pub named Colston Yard, and visit Colston Hall, the city’s largest concert venue. They were named after Edward Colston, a British slave trader and politician who was born in the city in 1636.

    FFS they obviously promote him.

    – cult favour-ite RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
    – first-time nominee Alison Hammond
    – There’s a strong showing for Coronation Street’s hate-crime storyline
    – The Repair Shop has earned recognition in the category of Daytime

Channel 4 news reporting quite seriously from a dig somewhere up North where a bunch of obviously totally nutty old wild-haired and wild-eyed septuagenarians (won’t call them archeologists) announce they have found evidence that black people came across the channel from Calais in small boats 10,000 years ago (how accidentally fortuitous and probably not on inflatables!) and showed us how to use salt, make cheese and farm. The same people then went on to build Stonehenge, and probably the Clifton suspension bridge.

They found all this by digging a great big hole 20 feet deep and shining their torch on the dust which means these early immigrants were possibly mole like people who preferred to live underground.

They claim the evidence is irrefutable because they have a special Torch available from Lidl which can look back 10,000 years which proves it beyond doubt.

Begs the question of why the immigrants didn’t bother to do the same back in Africa. Not many giant stone monoliths over there that I know of and very little cheese I would warrant.

It gets more and more stupid and desperate every day!

    Better off reading the Beano!

      The pyramids are in Africa
but Simon Webb always makes a difference between Northern Africa where there were no lack people and sub-Saharan Africa

      • digg says:

Yes but the people who built the pyramids probably had rulers and tape measures unlike the Stonehenge crew most probably random druids from Celtic nations, or did these African arrivals simply forget to bring their rulers etc when they landed in Kent?

    • StewGreen says:

BTW Sept 10 Channel4 is black people only

    • Banania says:

Gosh, I never knew any of that.

  42. StewGreen says:

It’s not that every programme is black
It’s partially the way the Times TV guide picks them out

    Tonight’s recommended film

  43. StewGreen says:

“Queen supports Black Lives Matter movement, says royal representative
Sir Ken Olisa, the first black Lord-Lieutenant for London, spoke to Channel 4 about the issue.”

Emmm, it breaks the honour code to say what the Queen told you her opinion is.

  44. StewGreen says:

    Also tonight’s TV
on Channel4 8pm The Joe Lycett show
chose a special guest Clara Amfo the BBC Radio1 DJ

BBC WEB-SITE Watch #1 – BBC use dodgy photo from Getty Images

You have until 4.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow to work out what is wrong with the header photo. It will probably be changed for a new photo then. Sorry, no prizes – as usual.

    • Broadcasting-on-Behalf-of-the-Caliphate says:

I see various forms of advertising. The BBC get an awful lot of free goodies given to them for this type of thing.

  46. Broadcasting-on-Behalf-of-the-Caliphate says:

Why do people think that the Taliban is news that we should be interested in? Or more specifically why do the BBC think the Taliban is news that we should be interested in?

In answering these questions can you be certain that you have not been indoctrinated by the BBC despite ostensibly being opposed to it?

  47. Guest Who says:

    Indeed, guys and gals…

    Think about that.

  48. StewGreen says:

    ITV local news

    – “A judge has just sentenced a York man to 9 years in jail for a rape he committed 10 years ago
.. but he’s free tonight, cos he didn’t turn up in court.

_ An absolutely fawning item “Kim Leadbetter made her first speech in parliament” ..complete with memorial shots of her sister Saint Jo Cox.

    • G.W.F. says:

I hear she praised her constituents and said how they cum together. But she never mentioned that a teacher is in hiding from a mob in her constituency

  49. StewGreen says:

ITV local news , the usual syndicated activist item
    “Plastic Free period products”
… “blah blah blah, period poverty” etc.

Is that what you want for family teatime viewing ?

Plus one of the activist was allowed to say that plastic is bad for the environment cos “it’s made from fossil fuels”
    so what ?
Then she was allowed to say that there is no safe way of disposing of them and that incineration is bad.
..That’s false, high temperature incineration is safe

Hey Priti here’s an idea, as it is now obvious the French want to offload as many scroungers as possible onto the UK and any attempt to turn them back in the waters will be subject to the ire of the lefties.

Why not coral some RAF transport aircraft and have them ready and waiting at airfields in the UK.

Every immigrant who declares their origin Country is immediately packed aboard and returned post-haste to their origin Country who surely cannot refuse entry to their own Nationals, anyone who refuses to declare their origin Country are charged with breaking UK law and jailed until they can be deported.
