I hear the Tory party nativity play has had to be cancelled because they are unable to find three wise men and a virgin, although they do have a donkey – in fact they have quite a few of them.

I remember back in the 1960’s dustbins were made of metal like the ones this guy is carrying and when full of rubbish weighed a ton. They collected the bin from wherever you kept it which in the case of my parents house was right at the back which meant negotiating a long walk including a number of steps to fetch it, empty it then take it all the way back again. None of these namby pamby lightweight plastic wheelie bins which have to be left out on the pavement back then.

Our local Brighton and Hove binmen were on strike recently for around 3 weeks for better pay and conditions for this “difficult” job and secured substantial pay increases but because of the equal pay act all other “lower paid” council staff were then automatically entitled to claim a similar pay increase. From memory some of the drivers will receive an extra £3k a year. All this will add at least £2.5m to the council’s wage bill so am not looking forward to getting our Council tax bill next March!

Her picture shows a bright, well-groomed, well-dressed person in a park in Germany earlier in the month.
So what the hell did she want to kill herself for?

I don’t remember Germany being a hell hole.
And of course the BBC have no questions to ask..

It gets worse. Over in Calais the BBC interview a ‘young man’ as to whether the deaths deter him from wanting to escape from France to Britain. The answer was no.

But as to his motivation, again the BBC mysteriously had no questions at all. Presumably they feared the answers would embarrass the BBC wokeland position.

Pathetic journalism. And yours for £4 bn a year.

It’s tragic to have a name and a face for someone who died in this way, and yes, she looks like a pleasant young woman, and not at all like many of the angry, young (male) thugs usually filmed hopping off dinghies.

I blame our government for not doing enough (do they do anything towards it at all?) to deter these Channel crossings, and to a somewhat lesser degree, the French for not doing more to physically stop them.

If the blame lies anywhere it lies with Bungling Boris, his sidekick, Pretty Useless, and the likes of the BBC and ‘bleeding heart liberals’ for protesting angrily every time any suggestion of providing less encouragement to ‘migrate’ here is mentioned.

The BBC/Government/Establishment are hyping the mutation from South Africa….ramping up the fear and concern….even though we are told there is as yet no proven link between this mutation and a rise in cases in South Africa, there is no idea of how transmissable it is nor how bad any infection would be.

The BBC were immediately using it to try and back up their own pet project…to stop vaccinating here and to send vaccines instead to developing countries….5 Live presenter suggesting that the reason we had a mutation in South Africa[never mind they happen everywhere] was because so many South Africans hadn’t been vaccinated and thus allowed the virus to spread and mutate.

Unfortunately the facts[given by a South African prof, Director of their Centre of Epidemiology] show that the daily infection rate is around 300 whilst in the UK it is about 50,000…so, er, just how do the vaccines stop infection?…this also lays to rest all those arguments about people having to be jabbed in order to stop infection….double jabbed people are just as likely, as the BBCitself has told us, to become infected and to transmit it onward.

The BBC is lying to us to suit its own agenda on sending vaccines to poorer countries….Africa has barely been effected by covid…and yet…..

One reason for the ramping up of the fear is the government et al see the protests building around the world against the draconian imposition of lockdowns…they need to scare you again….the good Professor Whitty proves this point today as he tells us the government needs to ‘take the people with it’…..and fear is the key…..

‘Prof Whitty told a panel discussion hosted by the Local Government Association: “My greatest worry at the moment is that people… if we need to do something more muscular at some point, whether it’s for the current new variant or at some later stage, can we still take people with us?”

But he added that, despite previous restrictions being “very destructive” to society and the economy, the public had shown an “extraordinary” ability to “just accept that there are things we collectively have to do to protect one another and do collectively”.’

Indeed it takes some significant mental gymnastics to understand the rational behind the Government’s decision to effectively ban travel from SA. It is unknown whether the new variant (which has been given a very James Bond baddie name to scare the living crap out of us) is more transmissible, more ‘deadly’ or mitigated by current vaccines, so just in case, we’ll make SA a no-go zone. But there are always going to be new variants, and nobody will ever know how serious they are until they spread. The logical thing to do is to allow people to protect themselves as they see fit. Either by becoming a hermit, getting vaccinated, wearing a mask, or trusting their own immunity. I want my life back please.

    Migrant lottery December 2021 ,

All you have to do is select a date ( say December 5 ) and say how many illegal immigrants are going to cross the channel that day . Your number is put in the pot and the nearest to the actual figure wins the pot .

To add to the odds , you can predict how many woman and children will be broadcast on the BBC for sympathy, and a trifecta bet is if they use the footage for the next three days .

Why not try the ITV Scoop 6 , BBC style in how many organisations the BBC interview that tell us that we are to blame for not allowing the illegal immigrants to come her via a safer route ?

If you want a safe bet but at low odds , there’s 100 to 1 on that Mark Preston of the BBC tells us that other countries take in more migrants. That’s you bet £ 100 to win £1 . Bets void if the news is he’s run over by a bus . Or murdered in a taxi bombing .
There’s also the betting on the numbers of illegals deported this year . Bet the whole lot are and the odds given to you exceed atoms in the universe , but there are more sensible bets ; 5 , 8 ,11 .

A favourite of the pro immigration lobby is the Dual Forecast , which is how many leave our shores to how many arriving, as though that is a comfort . As it’s based on government figures it can’t be certified.

You could have a flutter on when the BBC blames Brexit for the invasion . It’s odds on again but double it up on them mentioning the Dublin Agreement. Triple it up when a BBC guest puts it down to politicking.

But if you have just £1 to spare I give you 100 to 1 that the full costs of this illegal activity is openly shown in public .

So two points….one, erm, don’t trans-women actually want to be called women? Thus removing genders actually says to them that they are not considered women.

Second….trans-genders demand respect for their chosen pronoun…where’s the respect for normal people’s definitions such as ‘man’ and woman’?

Oh the irony…..when the Right topple statues and indulge in cancel culture suddenly it’s an issue for the BBC….Brazil and Bolsonaro of course….

‘ the sculpture is also a symbol of “resistance to far-right attacks on education”. ‘

You might read the title and think wow, hold on…the BBC criticising cancel culture!?….lol….

Cambridge sculpture makes a stand on culture wars

‘Decades after Freire was imprisoned during Brazil’s military dictatorship, his teaching is under attack again in Brazil.

Far-right President Jair Bolsonaro has even threatened to “enter the education ministry with a flamethrower” to remove every trace of his teaching.

“In Brazil, our current situation is very, very difficult,” Alex Trindade, one of the Brazilian students who came up with the idea of the sculpture, says.

“Bolsonaro is attacking everything related to public universities, Freire’s ideas.

“The idea is to not… allow professors or teachers or schools to discuss politics or gender or anything that is connected, that gives a way for people to develop their own ideas.”‘

Oh the irony….the BBC isn’t interested in the Left’s dangerous axis with the Black extremists/terrorists as they destroy education, destroy politics, destroy free-speech, destroy free-thought and destroy our culture and society…but now…suddenly it’s an issue….lol.

The BBC often expresses shock and outrage at the very idea of conversion therapy for gays….however they are quite happy to push trangender therapy and conversion to another gender….the BBC happy to push this extremism to very young children.

Hmmmm….seems the transgender lobby is also a bit confused….Guido notes a bit of trouble north of the border as the SNP’s Joanna Cherry gets some transgender flack for backing conversion therapy…to turn transgenders back to their birth sex…

‘“We must not make it a criminal offence for therapists to try to help patients with gender dysphoria to feel comfortable in their birth sex.”’

This is transphobia apparently….though I might suggest it is probably the right approach…transgender people are likely suffering mental health issues rather than a genuine wish to change gender…not helped by th BBC telling them they are whatever they feel they are and should change gender.

So let’s get this right…conversion therapy to degay gays is wrong, conversion therapy to detrans transgenders is wrong but conversion therapy to push the idea you are the wrong sex and to thus change gender is OK?

As always the BBC adopts a line that suits its agenda and changes it to suit…transpropagandists.

I am absolutely 100% certain that the BBC would support conversion therapy for right-thinking people to be ‘taught’ to be left-thinking people. They are actively trying to do that themselves.

Their ideological brothers have tried to do it many times throughout history. Usually developing into the ‘removal’ of those who do not conform.

I’ve learned that the Human race cannot learn from history and is doomed to repeat it again and again. The lessons only last a couple of generations before they are forgotten.

Regarding not learning from history –

I have had to become quite old before I understood the lessons of history. And you can’t really understand history unless you understand people, which takes a lifetime of experience. Perhaps the biggest lesson of history in my view is that the idealism that so beguiles the young is actually an insidious thing that can lead to absurdities and even monstrous crimes. Realism and the lowering of expectations come with age but those things seem dull and unglamorous to the young. They want to live in Utopia.

In the past, societies generally recognised that wisdom came with age and they respected their elders and worshipped their ancestors.

But today older people’s opinions are written off with a variety of insulting terms – “irrelevant”, “racist”, “outdated”, “stuck in the 1970s”, etc.. Although oldies have a huge repository of experience and wisdom, the young are not interested in hearing it. The lessons of history are there to be learned but they are ignored.

Instead, wisdom is presumed to be found only in the mouths of babes, in the opinions of the young. Greta Thunberg is the prime example of this.

The more coronaphobic your frontpage, the closer the top of the BBC online press review this morning.

UK battling to hold back “Omicron”‘ (‘i’) – and as any spell of bad weather could tell you – once they’ve named you, then you’re twice as scary: ‘Storm Arwen batters Britain‘ (Express)

Fear not, our national broadcaster may consider this Great Britain of ours no longer to be a “Land of Hope & Glory” – but at least our BBC do reckon we still have: ‘The windswept beaches of opportunity and fear‘ – for illegal migrants, of course. At the moment they arrive it’s all opportunity and better life. Once they’re here and settled in it is of course all a bit too racist for them.

The ‘i’ put up the hue and cry: ‘Race against time as Test and Trace tries to find thousands of people who flew to Britain in past fortnight and may be inflicted with new varient of concern – named Omicron‘ – Test and Trace… some new comedy pairing? A couple of off beat cops in a TV show? Or are those the names of the two lady coppers they’re putting on the case?

The excitment here puts me in mind of that movie The Fugitive (1993 version) when Tommy Lee Jones as the good ol’ boy Marshall declares to his gathered ad hoc posse of various sheriffs, deputies, state police and assorted law enforcement officers – with a Southern drawl:

“All right, listen up, ladies and gentlemen, our fugitive has been on the run for ninety minutes. Average foot speed over uneven ground, barring injuries, is 4 miles per hour. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. Your fugitive’s name is Dr. Chris Whitty. Go get him.”

Sorry, I got a bit carried away there at the end of the quote… :’Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty said his “greatest worry” was whether people would accept new restrictions‘ (The Sun) – no doubt you’re gearing up to try it mate, so we’ll find out.

The Mirror has a touch of the phobia but is fatalistic. Doubting the point of putting out the all points bulletin. Afterall, everything is in perpetual crisis since Labour aren’t in power: ‘Covid varient “already in the UK”… scientists last night feared the “worst ever” new Covid-19 varient is already in Britain‘ – now the flu presumably competes with the weather for a place in the Guiness Book of Records.

Feminist joke: Two men down the pub. My man flu was worse than your man flu. Nonsense, my man flu was the worst ever!

Red alert. Met issues “risk to life” storm warning‘ (Guardian) – I wonder, should the socialist utopia ever arrive, if we will still be such scaredy cat cringing nellies? Comrades! What shall we do this weekend, shut ourselves away safely in the cupboard under the stairs, or go out and work on the glorious Five Year Plan?

The Telegraph way down the BBC press pile, notes the correlation between leftism and safetyism: ‘Madrid leader attacks Left-wing lockdowns

The FT notes the financial consequence of the latest fashionable fear: ‘Stocks and oil prices slide in dash to safety from latest virus varient. ‘”Omicrom” strain worries WHO‘ – I can’t resist a touch of nostalgia for a time, not so very long ago, when I was a kid and when Who stood up to Daleks, Cybermen and other assorted would be earth invaders.

I jest of course. Doctor Who is now a real girlie.

The FT goes on: ‘All world index tumbles 2.3%. Travel and aviation hit‘ – but on the very same frontpage opines for us on: ‘The world’s best hotel bars

Darling, I know it’s a bit off the baeten track and somewhat of a come down, but this Britannia Hotel, Solihull, has simply the most attentive wine waiter. They do say, since the place filled up with tea total migrant chaps, he’s at a bit of a lose end and awfully quick to uncork something nice from the cellars for the one or two paying guests.

    And finally…

Our buddy Matt in the Telegraph draws a quick sketch and pens a funny line that could stand in for a thousand word critique of what we’ve come to. Some little lad in a daft outlandish bulbous costume informs his mum: “In the nativity play I’m a Covid varient

    Even Fox News now:

Biden-Harris dream team suddenly Dems’ worst nightmare after just 10 months
Perhaps Hillary Clinton or John Kerry is available for one more political rodeo?

If Biden has underwhelmed as president, his second-in-command has managed to fall even shorter of expectations. The latest polls show the American people viewing Vice President Kamala Harris less favorably than Biden, which is no small feat. Outside of family and paid advisers, even Democrats have a hard time envisioning Harris getting closer to the presidency than the 85 minutes she spent in charge when Biden was undergoing a medical procedure.

Beyond that, the bench gets awfully thin awfully fast. The runner-up of the last two contests, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is 80. His ideological soul mate, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., has the opposite problem. She is only 32, although she technically would meet the constitutionally-mandated age requirement by Inauguration Day 2024.

The Britain Bashing Corporation gets a rebuke from MP Michael Fabricant:

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1527642/bbc-bias-channel-migrant-crisis-tory-boris-johnson

“On Thursday, the Prime Minister published a letter calling on the French to take back migrants who cross the English Channel to discourage others from making the perilous journey.”

“The MP for Lichfield criticised the BBC over its coverage and claimed that it failed to include accusations the French “lacked diplomacy”.

“He tweeted: “And look how @BBCNews handles this!

“Starts with the premise, #Boris is wrong according to the presenter, then Macron quote, then #Labour Shadow!

    “What balanced approach is this?””

His post naturally attracted lots of comments, including this reply:

“When was the last time the BBC actually and unreservedly supported British interests?

“It was unguarded in its reporting as far back as the Falklands War.

“Its claim to be the national public service broadcaster has rung very hollow for years. Very well then; just defund it.””

Talking about defunding, I am not sure if this has already been posted in an earlier thread:

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1524478/bbc-licence-fee-referendum-defund-the-bbc

“A major campaign for a national referendum on whether to axe the BBC is set to launch in early 2022.” (Hurray!)

“There are also concerns over the way the BBC dropped its pledge to continue the free licence fee for all over-75s and pursued non-payers aggressively.

Between 2015 and 2018 91 people, disproportionately women from low income families, were also jailed for non-payment.”

“The influential Common Sense Group with more than 50 Conservative MPs is shortly expected to publish a book of policy ideas including scrapping the licence fee and breaking up the BBC.”

As has been asked many a time, “Whither the BBC?” (I nearly typed “Wither” instead!)

Biden lies again, but what scrutiny do ours get ?

Despite Biden vow, Afghanistan evacuees admitted to US underwent almost no vetting after interviews: report
President Biden promised last August that Afghan evacuees would undergo ‘thorough scrutiny’

“We’ve left Americans and visa holders and [Special Immigrants Visa] holders and permanent residents and former employees of the embassy back in Afghanistan and we pulled out 73,000 that we really had no basis for pulling out.”

“If someone from Afghanistan were to present themselves at our southern border, which in and of itself is a disaster, they would be flagged for further follow-up and have an interview. Unfortunately, in this new system that they set up specifically for this population, the majority of these folks did not get any sort of in-person interview.”

China’s Monster Three Gorges Dam Is About To Slow The Rotation Of The Earth

      – Rotation of the Earth can change weather patterns and climate.

China is the largest developing country in the world. China is still considered a developing country based on the criteria of the World Bank and the United Nations. (World Atlas)
      – Thus China can get cheap loans and be exempt from impositions put on developed countries.

FRAMING TOADY Watch – #1 – how to diagnose the BBC World’s mental ill-health

It was back on FRAMING TOADY to the BBC Food & Farming Awards and the award won by …. Waitrose. Yayyy! Delight all round, especially from Waitrose. Surprise, surprise.

Dr Snuffy (I’m not a real Doc, just humour me for a while) has diagnosed that the BBC World is seriously mentally ill. In fact the World has reached the point where a Court Order for Sectioning under the Mental Health Act should be obtained urgently for the BBC World so that treatment can be started. The award given to Waitrose is that they have developed an app to check on the emotional wellbeing of farm animals – yes, honestly – that their supplying farmers will be making available to Waitrose in future.

I wonder whether this is the causational effect on the BBC World of various Lockdowns due to the Pandemic? It may be. The BBC and its World has become certifiably insane.

I have to take the risk of revealing some personal information here. I have some farming ancestry in my background. It is recent enough to have known the previous generations and uncles and cousins involved in and leaving the industry. Let me make it clear here that any farmer worth his feed (and income!) cares deeply for his animals and does not mistreat them.

I also cannot help but wonder what this Waitrose ‘app’ will involve. Cows, sheep, goats, geese, chickens, turkeys all having to fill in questionnaires about their ‘wellbeing’ on their personal smartphones. I wonder if Matt, the cartoonist is doing one on this subject right now?

Two wrongs don’t make it right but why has the BBC and other media outlets conveniently forgotten the foul abuse Rafiq used against the Jewish people.

One major difference for me and that is Rafiq has made verbal alligations against Vaughn and others with no actual proof apart from being backed up by other ethnic players. Rafiq’s vile racism is written in tweets etc.

The obvious message from our state propagandist is that they absolutely were correct in their decision to dump him.

Typical inversion of ‘the story’ by the BBC:

Samira Ahmed: When a tragedy happens like in the past week with the 27 people who drowned in the Channel, it does create a huge emotional response from the public, and I wonder if it’s a challenge particularly at those moments for the BBC to get the terminology right in reporting such a story.

If the story isn’t reported, (Biden’s Blunders, Rochdale Rapists etc) there is no ’emotional response’ from the public, The public’s response is engineered by by the BBC’s reporting.

The BBC tells us that it is important to report the story of the individual. One can be sure that any individual is carefully chosen – you can bet they will find the only ‘Gay, handicapped, Black, Transgendered child in the village’.

P.S. Samira, the ‘correct’ term in ‘non-resident Britons’, there are 7 billion of them!

I’ve noticed how the Left cannot exist without nit-pick complaining on behalf of ‘victims’. They love it : it gives them a feeling of morale superiority and magnanimous compassion to people inferior to themselves.

Take the new buzz-word ‘Omicron’ (capital O for increased effect) – meant to strike fear into our hearts and hence conform to whatever rules people like the BBC have decided we must – and the flight into Amsterdam.

Heres what they considered to be important enough to put in the article:

‘New York Times correspondent Stephanie Nolen, who was on the flight, tweeted that the passengers were not even brought water while they remained on the plane.’

‘When they were eventually allowed to leave, some passengers shared photos of themselves clustered together in a room with little ventilation.’

No twitter link to the photos though. I suspect I can guess the reason.

Thank you again for all you have done for the world Africa. Only thing is that I can’t think of many good things off-hand.

The ultimate victims : the BBC are wetting their panties at the mileage they can get out of this one. I expect they are hoping another one sinks as well in this storm for a virtue-signalling, fake-empathy double-whammy. The 12-year old girl shows clearly that they don’t care one bit about any actual death if the way it happened is inconvenient for the agenda.

I was about to post about this young girl’s murder. The BBC did report it because I saw it somewhere but somehow I just know the MSM are not telling us something. I understand the boys arrested were aged 14 – 18. When I hear a gang with that sort of age range I become more suspicious. In my day we only hung around with people at most a year difference in age. I don’t know whether the boys were black, or whether it was a terrorist attack or even that the arrested boys were white and from the poshest school in the area (we probably would be told if it was the last one). I realise we are not in the US and there is an ongoing investigation but it is amazing how differently some cases are reported.

Yes and the awful thing is that the Public Sector Unions, supported by the MSM would appear to be untouchable.

What might be possible is to launch a petition on the GOV website to demand an independent wide-ranging investigation into the actions of the Unions in driving the Government into introducing restrictions so that at least the pubic would no longer labour under the impression that it was all based on scientific and medical methods or that it was a result of considered Government level evaluation rather than partisan blackmail forced by the unions which is highly likely in my opinion.

There must be a paper-trail which if uncovered would expose what was really happening.

“But it’s not all doom and gloom. There are already huge leaps forward being taken by people who really care about the future of their sport.”

      ….

The World Cup Bid Evaluation report for Qatar contains a single sentence that is especially striking to a sports surface consultant like me; “All stadiums would have grass pitches”.

Given that average daytime temperatures during the tournament are likely to be of the order of 35OC to 37OC, maintaining the quality of the grass pitches to the standard that FIFA, the players and, indeed, the rest of the world expects will prove to be a particular challenge for those responsible, even after the most innovative methods of cooling and shading have been employed throughout each stadium.

One way or another, the Qatar pitches are going to have to accommodate substantial volumes of water being applied to them in order to meet the needs of the grass. That water cannot be allowed to affect adversely the playing quality of the surfaces. This suggests that an extremely free-draining rootzone (the material that the grass actually grows in) is utilised, and this generally means that the dominant component should be a relatively coarse and very uniform sand. The downside of this is that such rootzones are not able to retain very large volumes of water with which to sustain the grass.
