“Andrey Medvedev: How Russian mercenary made an icy escape to Norway”
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-64303652

“As Andrey Medvedev dashed towards the remote Russia-Norway border, he could hear the sound of attack dogs snarling behind him.

Their arrival meant the men hunting him were closing in. But the border – and the Western world – were in reach.

At around 2am local time on Friday, Medvedev says he finally scrambled over the barbed wire guarding the Norwegian border as Russian guards closed in.

As he climbed, he says he could hear dogs behind him. And, as spotlights from the guard towers picked him up, the shrill whistle of Russian bullets shot past him, he claims.”

So basically he finished his 4 month contract, says he was forced to extend that, managed to “flee Ukraine ” and get 700 miles to St Petersburg, where for some reason he handed in his dog tags to a Wagner training centre –
“This appears to have attracted the group’s attention.” –
went another 700 miles to the Norwegian border, where Wagner dogs chased him across the border …🙄

BBC will print any bullshit dressed up as an adventure story, that fits their agenda..

Kevin Spacey given lifetime achievement award in Italy
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-64301135

His award comes days after he appeared in a UK court to face seven charges of sexual assault against a man in the early 2000s. He denies the allegations.

The Museum of Cinema in Turin said it handed the prize in recognition of Mr Spacey’s “personal aesthetic and authorial contribution to the development of the art of drama”.

He thanked the museum for having the “balls” to present him with the award.

      President Trump’s 100 Days President Biden’s 0 Day

Dear Winston Smith in the Records Department of the Ministry of Truth,

You covered President Trump’s 100 Days and then produced a Beyond 100 Days to hold power to account.

Why have you not done the same for President Biden to hold power to account?

‘Omission is the greatest form of lie.’

The Vision of the Anointed (1995) is a book by economist and political columnist Thomas Sowell which brands the anointed as promoters of a worldview concocted out of fantasy impervious to any real-world considerations.[1] Sowell asserts that these thinkers, writers, and activists continue to be revered even in the face of evidence disproving their positions.

Sowell argues that American thought is dominated by a “prevailing vision” which seals itself off from any empirical evidence that is inconsistent with that vision.

The book challenges people Sowell refers to as “Teflon prophets,” who predict that there will be future social, economic, or environmental problems in the absence of government intervention (Ralph Nader is one of his foremost examples).

The book was initially published in 1995 by Basic Books.[2] It was described as a “masterpiece” by Nick Cater.[3]

BBC World News 5 days ago: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-64245246

“Chinese police have arrested a man who drove a car into pedestrians in Guangzhou, killing five people and injuring 13 others. The incident has sparked widespread public outrage, with many accusing the man of deliberately targeting people.”

Interesting to note the descriptions… compare/contrast with incidents in Europe/US where: 1) it’s always a car, not a man that drives into crowds; and 2) the public are never outraged. Not only are accusations never made, but the BBC move to quickly state that nothing sinister is ever afoot.

    ———
“The exact circumstances of the attack are being investigated, but police said a terror attack had been ruled out.” (Carnival parade / Belgium 2022)

“The incident does not appear ‘at this time’ to be an act of terrorism, one official said.” (Christmas parade / Wisconsin 2021)

“Officials said a motive was currently unclear.” (Carnival parade / Germany 2020)

    And so on.

Could there be any more telling example of the insanity of modern woke politics than the ‘political crisis’ arising from the UK governments refusal to allow the Scottish gender recognition bill.
The recent census shows trans people are 0.2% of the population. That means 99.8% of the population have to change their ‘opinion’ to accommodate the above.

    • vlad says:

I’m not sure if even that 0.2% isn’t largely teenagers who are gay, or unsure, or rebelling, or confused, or trying to look cool, or misdirected by woke teachers, parents, online influencers etc.
I suspect there’s a large element of ‘fashion’ to the trans movement that many would naturally grow out of – unless, of course, they’ve already mutilated their bodies.

This is simply Sturgeon posturing in the plan to secure more teeny and woke votes at the next election.

She is obviously quite prepared to place the safety of women generally at risk in order to get these votes.

The furore and opposition she has raised in Parliament will only bolster her status as a “yoof” supporter by pointing the blame on all those white, older males in Westminster blocking the bill.

The World including this nation are on a race to hell because of crazy people like this trying to grab power.

Anyone noticed ( the BBC, needless to say, have not- maybe because it is they who have defined it) that the current public sector strikes for pay incessantly compare ( lack of) increases with the private sector since 2010?

Thus ‘ pay has gone down by X% compared with the private sector since 2010’.

    Why?

Because 2010, after 13 years of Labour Party public sector feather-bedding, was the high water mark for public sector pay. They had also, of course avoided the worst of the banking crisis recession and job losses.

So the last dozen years could arguably be seen as a gentle regression to the long term average from an unaffordable high.
But don’t hold your breath for the BBC to inform or educate on this one.

PS for every decile of pay, the public sector exceeds the private sector.
Who says so ? The government via the ONS.
    Another ‘inconvenient truth’
