Jacinda Ardern has announced she will quit as New Zealand prime minister next month, saying she wants to pursue her lifelong dream of racing in the Kentucky Derby.
“Ms Ardern, 42, said she had taken time to consider her future over several buckets of hay and carrots this summer.
I really shouldn’t be prime minister,” she told reporters. “I should be running with the other horses in Kentucky.”

The Sky News political editor offered her resignation after being caught attending Kay Burley’s 60th birthday party whilst London was under Tier 2 coronavirus restrictions.

The Standard caught up with her on a typically frenetic morning in Westminster where she has already conducted “pre-recorded” interviews for her show and then reaction to PMQs, saying: “I’ve had two outfit changes already.”

Andy Marsh, chief executive of the College of Policing, which sets police standards and training, was on Today this morning and claimed that cases like David Carrick were due to Tory cuts….the cuts meant police forces had to choose where to allocate resources and so decided not to vet their recruits and officers.

Surprisingly Amol Rajan didn’t jump on this claim one way or the other, either to trash the Tories or to challenge it, especially as Marsh sets police standards and how they are trained. Marsh clearly trying to pass the buck and dodge any blame.

I expected the next news bulletin to have this up in lights but again, surprisingly, they haven’t mentioned it yet or indeed reported the interview at all ass far as I can see.

Of course they are rather busy trashing the Tories over funding allocation to the Regions so maybe we’ll get the hit-job a bit later the day.

Just a month ago the BBC was highlighting poverty in wealthy areas…and blaming the Tories for not doing anything….

‘Cost of living: The hidden poverty in England’s least deprived area’

Now they’re trashing the Tories for helping such areas.

    • Fedup2 says:

Presumably marsh will wait for his gong when red Labour get power. But if there is an inquiry – it should include the decision to drop vetting standards – which I posit was in the name of diversity and getting certain types with cautions and convictions into plod ….
The rapist – as I understand – had done a bit of army time – which I thought had become a disqualifying factor ….

If Marsh thought vetting wasn’t important – vital – to public confidence – he should go find a job for which he might be better qualified – perhaps a BBC fact checker …

Shadow Commons Leader Thangam Debbonaire used an appearance on Newsnight last night to criticise some of the reporting by Sky and Tortoise on donations to MPs. After an interview about Nadhim Zahawi’s taxes, Kirsty Wark widened the discussion to questions about MPs’ finances as a whole. Citing the ‘Westminster Files’ data investigation by Sky and Tortoise, she described it as an attempt to shine a light on what MPs get from whom.

A February 2008 Freedom of Information Act request for the release of details of MPs’ expenses claims was allowed by an Information Tribunal but challenged by the House of Commons Authorities on the grounds that it was “unlawfully intrusive”.

The BBC global pin up WEF global leader resigns from New Zealand.. Another failed progressive.

“Ardern, who formerly worked as an adviser in Tony Blair’s government, failed to take heed of the first part of his slogan: “tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime”. The normally-placid country was shocked by a crime wave involving ram-raids and murders as the country reopened from its covid imprisonment. Police officers became sick of having to release delinquent youths they had arrested in the morning, only to see them reoffending in the evening. Then there was her war on farmers. New Zealand’s agricultural sector was the crown jewel of the country’s economy – one which, unlike its counterparts in other developed countries, stood on its own two feet, without subsidies. Then came Ardern’s extreme climate change agenda, which threatened to put many farmers out of business if they could not meet impossible emissions-reduction targets”.

Another nail in the coffin in the BBC global WEF (global leaders – BBC dept – 101).
Canadian failed ‘progressive’ Justin Tradeu is of the same failed lefty mindset that has locked up Canadians truck drivers during extensive unnecessary Covid lock-downs and forced COVID vaccinations that cause early heart attacks were ignored (still are by the left progressives).

Then we learn Tony Blair was involved in training Ahrdern to ignore voters and ‘save the planet’ and net zero nonsense we are all forced to follow.

The meal went down well. A source claims the queue was the longest they’ve seen, adding that the dumplings “looked peng”. Guido’s just glad the Chancellor wasn’t behind the move. Alec Baldwin to be charged with involuntary manslaughter over Rust shooting

No question about whose side the BBC is on for this : the fellow far-Left activist Trump hater.

What is interesting though is how they tell us both will be charged ‘with two counts of involuntary manslaughter’.
    Then they tell us:
‘Both face up to 18 months in jail and a $5,000 (£4,040) fine if convicted.’

But what they completely omit is that one of the two charges actually carries a mandatory 5 year jail term for the use of a firearm.

    Then they tell us:

‘After the shooting, Mr Baldwin said the gun had misfired. He added that he did not pull the trigger and was not aware that it was loaded. ‘

But completely omit the statement from the FBI that the gun funtioned normally and hence Baldwin was lying.

Just sloppy reporting by quota employees or deliberate to try and put him in the best light they can ?.

Here’s one who wrote it. No surprises here:

Along with a guy called Gareth Evans who is another far-Left activist – in the short part of his feed I can see – manages to retweet a Guardian article, an article that Ukraine is a ‘catastrophe’ for Russia and some pointless anti-Trump rhetoric.

The problem with Winterwatch (BBC2) is that it’s just too heterosexual !!!!!!!

Cue a big feature with an affected male wearing heavy make up. He’s an ‘artist’ who draws birds. And he connects with them by wearing clothes like them.

He also puts pansies where there has been a homophobic crime and photographs it.

The feature closes by seeing him make up and wear headgear in order to resemble a mallard duck! And yes, I am being totally factual.

The BBC can’t resist anything like that, it’s in their DNA…

Last year they covered The Chelsea Flower Show. I thought I was safe. I mean how the heck can they stuff that up? They did.

I was sitting there, with my cup of PG Tips, enjoying a beautiful display of stunning bougainvillea, when suddenly we were introduced to a 6ft2 inch drag queen, in full regalia. Yep…just what was needed…

We were told that he found gardening “tranquil” and “therapeutic” and he liked to flounce around in various gardens, while dressed up. Fantastic I really needed to know that. This nonsense went on for about twenty bloody minutes.

We never had these shenanigans with Percy Thrower…

      • Mustapha Sheikup al-Beebi says:

The BBC’s DNA may, however, be amenable to modification.

The following was quoted in today’s Geller Report:

        ” … …

Facebook bans claims that COVID-19 vaccination modifies DNA

By: Washington Examiner, February 17, 2021:

“Project Veritas released video Tuesday of Mr. Zuckerberg raising questions about whether vaccines include risks of side effects such as “modifying people’s DNA and RNA” in July during a virtual Q&A meeting with staff.

“I do just want to make sure that I share some caution on this because we just don’t know the long-term side effects of basically modifying people’s DNA and RNA to directly code in a person’s DNA and RNA,” Mr. Zuckerberg said in the video. “Basically the ability to produce those antibodies and whether that causes other mutations or other risks downstream.”

He concluded: “So there’s work on both paths of vaccine development.”

In a Feb. 8 post, Facebook updated its COVID-19 and vaccine policies “to protect people from harmful content and new types of abuse related to COVID-19 and vaccines,” saying it would remove posts that included “Claims that the COVID-19 vaccine changes people’s DNA.”

Project Veritas president James O’Keefe said that the newly leaked tape showed Mr. Zuckerberg “violating his own code of conduct” and that “he would be censored on the platform today for what he said.”

        … …”

One for the BBC to dig into, perchance?

  28. Thoughtful says:

As predicted the US has hit its debt ceiling thanks to Bidens ridiculous spending having burned through $2.5 trillion in just one year.
That’s on top of all the tax receipts and also the receipts from the strategic oil reserve which he emptied for political advantage.

It’s a shocking level of profligacy which has to be brought under control but Biden is not up for any compromise, and this is the issue which is leading to financial markets to speculate on a debt default.

Here is Democrat supporting New York Times take on it:

“Newly empowered House Republicans have vowed that they will not raise the borrowing limit again unless President Biden agrees to steep cuts in federal spending. Mr. Biden has said he will not negotiate conditions for a debt-limit increase, arguing that lawmakers should lift the cap with no strings attached to cover spending that previous Congresses authorized.”

    • Fedup2 says:

      Thoughtful – so a U.S. debt default means … meltdown ?

      • Thoughtful says:

It wouldn’t be the first US debt default, but it would be significant as the US AAA rating was downgraded to AA, this makes it more expensive for a country to borrow money, and with a $31.5 trillion debt that is not something the US wants.
There’s the effect on the Dollar of course, and that would have a massive effect on US inflation

The world reserve currency would be destabilised again, and the Russians will make a big thing of this together with the BRICS nations, to adopt a different reserve currency.

        • Thatcherrevolutionary says:

There seems a concerted campaign by Russia, China, Iran, India to move from the petro dollar standard.

In the past the Yanks simply kill the head of state (Gadaffi, Saddam, etc) but this could be the long-overdue return of the gold standard.

I’m sure the Davod filth will be working on a plan to save the dollar.

  29. Sluff says:

Not really BBC but certainly in their narrative range.

Went running this afternoon. Circuits of about a mile in the local area. On the route , a primary school.

At approx. eight minute intervals I therefore ran past it.
Outside the school the parents were waiting to pick up their kiddies. There were a lot of cars.

Over 16 minutes a woman (BAME as it turns out) had her engine running the whole time, keeping warm presumably while waiting for offspring to come out.

Could she possibly be one of those same parents who complain about the effects of air pollution on their children?

And as a result give sustenance to the likes of Sad Dick Khan who wants to ban old cars run by poor people.

    • Fedup2 says:

Good to hear people keep their engines running outside schools – particularly if they are diesel – it’s important that kiddies develop a folk memory of hydrocarbon engines and warm cars before they are all forced to ride bikes in 10 years

… I’d hope by then everyone needs an annual licence to use a bicycle – subject to a test of course …

    Not BBC but ITV.

    10 pm news. First story.
Excess deaths due to the elderly being afraid to put the heating on.
One 92 year old stares at her smart meter and allows herself £3 per….day we assume, it wasn’t specified.

Now there is a winter fuel payment of £400 and there are special additional payments of at least £67 per month. More for those on benefits.

Therefore the elderly CAN afford heating. But they are afraid. Why? Partly because of those dreadful smart meters, which people watch and see the numbers go up and get worried and want them to stop.

Then there is the ceaseless coverage of the ‘energy’ crisis by the media. The elderly get frightened again.

But ITV refuse to countenance the above factors and use it only as an ‘evil Tories not given out enough handouts’ narrative.

    An important story, selectively reported.

We’re an island surrounded by oil, with hundreds of years’ worth of coal and gas under our feet. We could and should have been building nuclear power plants, but none of these sensible options were fashionable…

The fact that we have swallowed the communist green agenda is what’s caused these problems. We still hear cobblers about “net zero”. While China are burning more coal every year than Britain has done since the industrial revolution. All the mainstream parties are pissing in the same pot. There is a saying that with age comes wisdom, Bliar and Jacinda came to power when very young, thus giving truth to that saying. Relentless authoritarianism is common to both of them.

What on earth is he about?
Bliar with today’s speech at Davos suggested that we should all be Covid vaccinated and certified, registered showed that old habits die hard. I find Bliar a very hard watch, very creepy. I think he’s a nut job, a very dangerous man. If I was running the Davos bash I wouldn’ t want him involved I reckon he must reduce the credibility of the event Jacinda will no doubt follow in his footsteps.

What worries me most is the WW2 level propaganda we are being spoon-fed and how completely people are swallowing it.

Following on from the 3rd feature of the BBC News – it looks like we are due for another PM- and maybe another election next month .

Yes The green card PM has ( allegedly ) broken the law . Travelling as a passenger in a car without wearing a seat belt is a serious matter – even jimmy saville would say ‘clunk click every trip ‘ when he was not busy raping children at the BBC .

So Rishi must resign and take the family back to LA… should have gone to Davos Rishi ….

      Hello Fed

For some reason the news/press seem to give certain people an easy time, ie Khan with knife crime, maybe the same reason will be applied to the current PM

    • MarkyMark says:

Well, that’s that then. This afternoon the Metropolitan Police fined the Prime Minister and the Chancellor of Exchequer for breaking lockdown laws. It follows an investigation into alleged Covid law-breaking at 12 gatherings in Whitehall and Downing Street. Both Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have maintained their innocence right up until this week. Below are six of the most memorable denials by the two men since claims emerged last year.

Six times Boris and Rishi denied breaking the law

      • Fedup2 says:

Clearly having a serial law breaker in number 10 is beyond the pale – there must be an independent inquiry about the seat belt incident – has he done it before . ? Surely an ‘urgent question ‘in the House with the new Bercow siding with labour in demanding a statement .
        Mad mad times ….

I wondered has she did her gig about wimmin education in afgee ( again ) whether the taliban listen to ‘today ‘… ?

What do they think of lees ‘dissing ‘ them every day . The taliban want their Fatimas breeding more little Mohammeds rather than doing diversity degrees …

TOADY Watch #1 – aah, now I have heard of him …

… TOADY and the 6 a.m. News brings me news of the death of David Crosby. In the normal course of life, the BBC are usually anxious to tell me of some American musician that I have never heard of and who never really achieved anything. I guess that is due to the BBC’s America obsession. I didn’t think much of the BBC’s choice of music in the news of David Crosby’s death. Perhaps they are missing Ken Bruce already?

Did they play ‘white Christmas ‘ ?

      • Up2snuff says:

Fed, it sounded like White Christmas but overlaid with several other tunes and songs. Pretty awful. I always associated Crosby with the musicality of the Byrds singing Mr Tambourine Man or Eight Miles High or the delicacies of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

We can make up for it here with Mr Tambourine Man:

    And in the UK:

“Hundreds of migrants in UK are ‘dangerous criminals’ amid call for ‘national outrage’
Last year, over 44,700 migrants made the perilous journey across the English Channel in small boats to seek asylum in the UK.

An investigation by The Sun has revealed that a large number of migrants who have arrived in Britain are “dangerous criminals”, including rapists, murderers, and terrorists. Among the hundreds who have been found to be serious criminals are also gangsters, child sex-offenders and drug dealers.

A large number of the criminal migrants are currently living in homes funded by the taxpayer and are working illegally in the UK with cash handouts.

The whistle-blower who asked to remain anonymous explained the situation to The Sun.

They said: “If people knew the truth about these people, it would provoke national outrage – and it should.

“Hundreds of serious criminals are living all over the country, with many continuing to commit crimes, work illegally and claim benefits.

“And once they get into this country it is almost impossible to get rid of them.”
